A dream come true! Styling TWO entire homes with our NEW Mr. Kate furniture line!

sometimes in life dreams do actually come  true when we started mr kate 10 years ago in   our apartment making blog posts and small  diy videos for only a handful of people   we could only imagine just a small inkling  of a dream that this day would come hello welcome okay guys this is a crazy  few days you are going to embark on   with us we are doing a huge photo shoot for  our furniture line and of course we wanted to   document it all for you guys because we are about  to style six maybe more rooms with our furniture so all of our crew and us have been tested  and when we are in close proximity we're still   going to wear masks just to be extra safe  but then when joey and i are in the rooms   solo we're going to take off our  mask so you guys can just understand   and we can talk to you a little easier and express  our styling tips because there's going to be   so much inspiration so come on let's get  let's get started get on yeah i love it good job it's gonna take us five  hours but that's really good oh daphne you gorgeous last  but again i only have two it's the perfect dusty rose colored so pretty  but i was saying like the colors are on   point in this collection thank you remember when you said green is a neutral green   you can use plants in any design what  color what color are plants green neutrals ah this is a story of a girl standing in  front of a couch asking and to love her what's up guys hey oh my gosh we are back with  another video that we're really excited about   really truly excited so that we're watching our  furniture line it's finally available you guys   have been asking like i've seen comments literally  every day on instagram on twitter on youtube no but literally you guys have been like when  is it coming out when is it coming out and   we weren't sure because of the pandemic and  everything kind of slows things down but it's been   really fun really exciting but really challenging  yeah we are so appreciative of all you for being   on this journey with us literally could not  have this in our lives without you guys so feel   our virtual hugs right now thank you virtually  we love you this thing with the furniture is just   so big and amazing and it's on all these huge  retailers sites so we need photos to like go   along with that like we need promotional images  these websites need photos of the furniture target   uh wayfarer overstock amazon lowes uh bed  bath and beyond depot qvc kohl's macy's   house oh and walmart like we're trying to bring  this to you guys wherever you shop so it is like   i keep my mind is completely blown because all  of these websites are places that i shop for   our room transformations all the time so the fact  that now our furniture pieces will be listed on   it is just like so incredibly cool and exciting  that's what moon thinks are you excited so we   wanted a nice blank slate to style the furniture  within so we rented this cute little house not too   far away from our house it was perfect because  it had like a living room a couple bedrooms so   we could rotate and style a few of the pieces  in there look there's already nails in this   wall yes i actually like that anyway because i  feel like we should layer a couple more pieces   we have tess helping us out kate's little  sister this is a lot of work obviously to   pull together all these different looks and  these different rooms so when you guys get the   furniture pieces we made this custom insert and  there's a picture of us and a little muumuu too   your happy creative and beautiful home that's  what we hope we also really wanted to make sure   that everything was super helpful for your spaces  down to like the winston sectional being perfect   for small spaces or the various futons with their  convertibility i love the futon so much because   to me like futon used to be like a bad word in  interior design like you would your futon and   you'd think like ew college i slept on a futon  in college exactly like wasn't very comfortable   not comfortable ugly but these futons are like so  gorgeous and you would have no idea that they are   futons until you see it fold back and you're  like wait what it's so oh oh geez oh whoa wow   that this is great because when you watch tv   like it's so easy to just put it down i  love that it's for sleeping but i sleep oh this is a cute pillow our friend laura austin is an amazing  photographer she did the photography   on the hot glue gun mess book that we  put out like forever ago if you guys   read that but we're bringing laura back in to help  take these photos she's a really cool photographer   so yeah this is called the moon bed so i think  it would be fun to have him like jumping this   bad with us yeah okay cool so laura do you  feel like you need anything else from us or   no i just i wanted to get a sense of the space  yeah yeah i'll let you guys get back to work yeah   i'm just gonna take some quick shots  yeah play around we'll see you tomorrow meet you all right guys this is like last minute  diys because we have to be out of here at sunset tangles that's a wrap for the day good job  tomorrow we take the photos we'll   show you the reveals of the room we gotta  go home and get our beauty sleep because   we need it trying to design  a line raise a kid during we're like almost the finish line the  furniture looks amazing in the spaces yeah   i'm so proud i'm your buddy oh that  was a very mushy kid i like it okay today is the big day the first round of  photos you're gonna take with our furniture   and tess is going to transition  from interior stylist to   talent so you're always down so this is  how many bags i brought from our house   i just grabbed all of our reasons that reminds me  of how you always packed for every single vacation   we ever went on as a family so many bags i don't  know if a leopard print was anywhere i'm just   kidding print is a neutral that's not a neutral  if pink green and white would you tell a leopard   that they don't go with everything would you  go to a leopard and say excuse me leopard   i brought my sheer socks with stars on them  that's not a neutral don't try and look at this i am so in love with how we styled the  winston obviously the gray we did sort of   like a neutral color palette around it with  black and white don't forget also that this   ottoman right here can move to either side and  just flip your pillows and it's also a perfect   couch for compact spaces yes for all you  like renters out there if you have like that   cozy nook that you want a sectional in  it's awesome obviously we also brought in   the mustard fe chair into this setup  it's like a little conversation area   and then the two little tables like this is a  great solution too if you're in a small space   and yeah i just i love how it looks yeah it's  like such a good feeling in here good job yay okay i'm so in love with how this setup looks  so obviously these effie chairs are just effing   amazing which is why she's named effie the mustard  color in the velvet is just everything i want   out of life it's like bright and happy but  also soft and cozy and next to this marble   fireplace is so pretty obviously we style with  like a simple but large artwork moment up here   and it's just looks so pretty like these accent  chairs just liven up this whole situation   a little bit yeah yeah there you go okay that's enough my boobs  can't take anymore thank you how vegas   all right so this is the final room that we are  shooting in our little bedroom with the moon bed   and i'm so excited we're going to take  some pictures in here look at this setup   you guys like how dreamy and beautiful and  then tomorrow we're going to another house   to do some more photos yeah see you  guys there let's take some pictures it's a big party is is all right so that's a wrap for  the first day of shooting we have   way more furniture though that we're going  to shoot at another location tomorrow it's   like a completely different style  yeah more edgy and like contrasty got it yeah my butt is also in  the harder position we recommend beautiful couch and then beautiful food these  cushions man can you just demonstrate how cushy   these are wow so our design process with this  furniture was just making sure that we had like   a colorful offering but making sure that also  people who like neutral colors are like neutral   colors available bright colors available  different mix of fabrics whether it's like   a linen texture or a velvet texture obviously  all those fabrics have to be easy to clean   so i was just looking at this window  ac unit to see about getting it out of   here so we could use this corner for a  picture but then tess has a better idea   so we're thinking about moving this fridge instead  just unplug it really quickly move it set up the   fb in a cute little setup because i just left  like look at these floors and look at this rug   no i know kate you're right we have to make  it work we have to make it work we have blueberry thank you thank you baby all right  so this is a test sofa and i just think it's   so cool how it assembles like our whole goal with  this line was to make everything really helpful   for you and part of that is that we wanted to be  able to ship these items to you like so you don't   have to like schedule some kind of furniture  delivery or whatever so this whole thing just   pieces together like a very easy diy puzzle you  don't need any tools it's just a really cool piece the other thing we've done to try to be  helpful is we put velcro on everything   so that sometimes when you have a couch and your  pillows aren't velcroed or they're not attached   to that way they sort of slide that slides down  so this helps keep your couch nice and fluffy come   put your butt for the very first time  on the tough sofa named after you eyes oh wow grapeseed so this is like the classic like raw iron bed  although it's not actually raw iron rot you   said wrong you said probably no you confuse  them right well you're anyways it's that   classic wrought iron bed look but obviously  in a more approachable affordable material the other thing about this bed that's  really cool is you can choose the height   of the underneath so you can either have  it up higher for more storage or lower do you think we need you want a little table  yeah i need something i got i got it i got   i have it you have a little tie bomber i clocked  every bit of furniture in this place perfect   country yeah yeah good job team high five i love jelly powder and space to this music me i like you adjusting your top section um it's just silent the music is in my head man okay so the test sofa of  course has to have the test yes so wow wow we did it congrats virtual virtual champagne pop i'm proud of you i'm proud of you guys i'm proud  of everyone out there too because like obviously   this is your furniture line as well because we  all did this together yeah literally we can't   emphasize it enough how much we appreciate you  watching
