98" Samsung QLED TV - Absolutely Massive

98-inch samsung qn 90a for scale this thing is absolutely massive so pretty awesome to have an opportunity to unbox this show you guys how it looks we're going to put it on the wall we had an 82 inch q90r on the wall here with the two no gap wall mount and the one connect wire i'm not going to show a ton of the install but i'll show you guys i'm going to run the wires primarily i wanted to just get an opportunity to show how big and cool this 98 inch qn 90a is and question of the day would you guys get a 98 inch tv like this or if it's this big would you go for the sony 100 inch or would you get a short throw projector let me know in the comments what you would do in this size but enough of all that let's get into this i'm really excited to get this 98 inch samsung q98 out of the box and see how awesome it is in this house let's do it ah we don't have jen here to do this for us i guess i'll make do those are solid it was very satisfying this is cool it has cardboard around the edges some extra safety measures here and a oh the top just comes off look at that this is the first for me to see a samsung box where the top just lifts off and there you are that's it alright so what do we get with the 98 inch they give us a remote that's good power cord remote a little bit of instructions put that stuff aside for now a little guide on how to open the box pretty straightforward and then it's got the stand top we're going to be putting it on the wall so we're not going to use the stand today but we're going to hold on to it for the customer always hold on to it if you sell your tv the people that buy it are going to want to stand so just always hold on to it if you can throw this out of the way it's so tall i can't see if there's anything else in these i'm only six two need lebron james to help me looks good so i think we should just take the boxes apart you know take one off each side and we'll just take them down the hallway yeah let's do it let's get these off we got three on each side there are actually two on the bottom on each side as well and then the owner here tony is going to help me move this out of the way what do you think about this tony pretty crazy huh crazy all right you want to do it wow you want to take it i can bring some too it's fine wow they have two middle pieces that's how big the tv is normally there's one in the middle but there's two you got that one yep yeah i got this one i'll bring these two now let's test this before i leave it by itself oh yeah it's not going anywhere that stand is heavy that's a big boy let's take this off pull this plastic off that is a big tv all right so here let's see if i can get my arm length nope there's not a chance 76 inch wingspan it's not even close all right well we better put the bracket on and get this situated here and then we can return put the tv up and then turn it on show it how cool it looks and how big it is compared to the other one and go from there okay on the back here no more one connect box for this big old tv all the connections are on the side four hdmi ports one is the gaming port hdmi three for soundbar speaker system then we have you know your lan port and we have an antenna and a couple of usb so pretty straightforward really no different than the smaller sizes just bigger tv we got some bolts some galvanized bolts for the wall a couple brackets all kinds of screws that'll be in here we need the m8s for this one the biggest ones do you want me to give it a little depth from the wall or you want it to be somewhat close to this okay so we'll just basically put these straight on the wall here we have a couple inches of wiggle room so if we needed to take it off we could always take it off and raise it which would lower the tv a lower and we should raise the tv so we don't have to hit it exactly i mean we'll try to hit it exact sometimes it's a in exact science the mechanisms for like securing that is pretty straightforward though these knobs are going to be hard to get to once it's all the way in this far very difficult so probably should stiffen them up to some degree then you don't have to you know you should be able to get it up straight and then tilt it if needed i lift it up so if it's like up or down in the hole that way one's not like off the other and then you have a tv that's not level so if you lift them both up then you know they're both pressuring down so there we go pretty good that up so we can latch it on and then pull these down this cord is not very long either which is going to have to we're going to reach up pretty far from underneath but that does it for out here now we have to measure from the bottom the top and then go hang the wall mount up we got a couple hdmi cords here we're going to run some of the other stuff that was connected to the one connect box back up the wall and add two hdmis here one for the e-arc which tony the client labeled e-arc look at that look at how smart that is and then one for the cable box so label your hdmi cords makes it easier when you want to connect stuff good job we'll just take this and tape them to the wire that we're pulling up very clean tape job here and then you can just pull these up the wall not a very long run of course but now we have these wires up it's a quick way to run wires up the wall so we got three hdmis here now there is an antenna wire here to get some over the air we have an ethernet line and then there's one more hdmi i believe right there you go got it all so that's everything we want to connect to the tv let's get a cover plate on here and then we'll be done with that part we'll make a little hole in this [Applause] there we go nice clean hole that should work and then we'll put this one on we got to go around all these wires all right is that all of what we need let's see looks like it all right we can put that on the wall we got a nice little cover plate all right cords are good now we got to put the mount up and let's do some math to figure out where that needs to go so that's the center that i have and uh yeah it's like right to the left edge of that yeah so that'll be our center right here and then i'm just gonna i'm just gonna i gotta put the lines up here just that we have them we'll just find the studs real quick yeah it's right there so 65 and a half to the bracket is what i marked so as long as this bracket top is right at the top of that we should be good good okay stay right there this is right here and then okay all right we take those off can you hold that for a second i'm just gonna line these up make sure they're level-ish all right so let's screw those two holes and then we'll put these on that's good all right you ready so you're on that side oh yeah i guess so all right i'm going to take the stand out because i can't get my hand in there now the tv is going to be pretty wobbly i got to move this out you got the tv we could lift it up and set it on here if you want to get a better grip you want to do it sure one two three it's not light it's not light aren't you ready one two three okay come on back take your time this tv's so huge okay i'm gonna switch again i guess i was wrong on that i got the vertical so okay you ready yep go ahead and go up i'm on are you on yes all right now i just have to go underneath and pull the bottom okay yeah i can reach mine you ready yep gotta go how are you reaching yours long arms jeez yeah you do good lord ready all right we're on we gotta slide slide it your way a little i know it's off a little so that's as far as i can go that way which pretty much lines it up it does it's a little lower i think we're right where we want it to be you can let me we'll have to check the level and everything what do you think excellent oh that's actually tipping the other way so that's going downhill that way the tv is going the other way i need the i need some spaces under the floor under the leg so this has got the tv is basically level this is like right in the middle so should we just leave it and then you can adjust this a little bit because that looks perfect right there so good then we're in a good spot with the tv all right so we have the tv up and we have the four hdmis in there we had to look at a picture we took so be careful when you put a tv on the wall you need to know where the hdmis are like one through four because they all had numbers on them but then i didn't know which one was at the top four was at the top so on the bottom we plugged in the cable box then we plugged in the dvd player then we plugged in the arc e arc into three and then at the top number four actually i don't really know what four was oh the four was the receiver i don't know well whatever 2.1 2.1 there you go secondary one so anyways we have four hdmi inputs all used up have the landline in there the coax line was hard to get in there but eric had it for me and then we're pretty much good to go so now we're gonna pull all the plastic off light this sucker up and see how it looks and now we have a new guest here stop the fomo arrived so photo bombing in the background so we're gonna we're gonna let fomo do the settings because he's been he's cut away he's fresh off of a couple samsung's anyway so the question is should we do a firmware update or not i i'm going to leave that to you man i'm not even going to try because no no no firmware update says decline yeah and that is a good thing you can see the anti-reflective coding here see there you go it doesn't look like it's as aggressive as the smaller sizes i'm interested right no it doesn't but it could be because we haven't taken that plastic off though too that plastic is probably reflecting it once we get the plastic off i think it's gonna be uh better yeah so we have the tv up everything looks good now we have we're done manhandling the tv here so we can take off the two pieces of foam that are there to make sure you don't screw up the screen and then pull the plastic off fire it up i'm ready to do it so let's go ahead and do this jen's not here so i'm gonna be pulling this stuff off all right beautiful those two we got we got commentators in the background we got backseat unboxers all right where's the where's the plow where do i pull i gotta call jen i don't know where to pull from is there even plastic on it yeah yep oh it doesn't feel like there's anything on there you guys it doesn't come with a plastic cap i don't think there's anything on there so much for uh the exciting peel off and reveal we're done i peeled that's it very unsatisfying hey at least at least i got to peel off the plastic from the back side that was pretty fun yeah there you go yeah we can pull that pull oh that was it three inches let's here it goes tv arc is activated oh we better watch the uh holy bright hello let's make sure we don't update anything more remote control so you do it that way too huh always always wired connection boom look at that oh look at that next gen tv so the q 98 i didn't know does only the 98 inch have it i thought that the regular one did not yeah only lg so you know what could be wrong oh you made the ats 3.0 this one has this one has it and we just connected it to a cable and then turn around oh there you go i see next year i found it there's one channel right there four there's four in l.a so they have four in l.a now yes i want to see them i want to see i want to see if it has dolby atmos to the sound bar because it's supposed to at some point have dolby atmos we have sports 4k 120. that's the dream yeah or 1080p 120 heck anything 120. it would be very nice [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so we're letting fomo connect everything set it all up we got some next-gen channels on here atsc 3.0 is pretty cool messing around with the lighting and all that filmmaker mode movie mode neutral standard dynamic all pretty cool definitely looks crazy super bright so we'll
