[Music] good morning and welcome to our services this is the day the lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it lord has made a beautiful day for us this morning let us begin by singing hymn number 475 victory in [Music] how jesus name is [Music] precious [Music] how he [Music] [Applause] [Music] i heard [Music] beyond [Music] of victory in jesus [Music] forever [Music] is [Music] amen amen amen oh lord all of my victories are in you we thank you this day lord that you will accept our worship allow it to be a sweet smelling savior in your nostrils we'd like to read it this time uh for your hearing psalm 100 psalm 100 as our morning devotional scripture and the bible reads make a joyful noise unto the lord all ye lands serve the lord with gladness come before his presence with singing know ye that the lord he is god it is he that has made us and not we ourselves we are his people and the sheep of his pasture enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name for the lord is good his mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations the lord bless the readers the hearers but most of all the doers of his holy word it is now prayer time if you would bow with me as we go to god in prayer father as we enter the throne room of grace in the name of your son jesus christ we are unworthy [Music] father what your son did on that old rugged cross two thousand years ago allows us builds a bridge for us to come directly to you boldly to you proclaiming that jesus is the christ and that you are our god father we are so thankful for you redeeming us for you providing a way out for us father we were doomed but father you thought enough of us that you redeemed us for that we are eternally grateful father thank you for this day father we thank you for all that will transpire on this day we ask you to bless the furtherance of our services father let our worship be sweet-spelling savior in your nostrils father we ask you today that you would accept our worship that would be pleasing in your sight and then father we thank you so much let our hearts be glad let us let us come to you with thanksgiving let us be happy blessed is the man father help us be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters that we might give you worship that we might worship you in spirit and in truth now father we thank you for this man of god that you have sent our way father for such a time as this you have sent us pastor james p thompson and father you have endowed his head with wisdom father you have given him the answers to the lifelong questions while you have guided him and provided for him everything that he needs to run this church in the way that you would have it go and father it's really all about the way you would have it go and we're just thankful to have a man of god who bows down to your will and does what you have asked him to do and he only he also does it the way you ask him to do it so bless him bless his family that's his wife his mother there in memphis their father he's also going to preach today so hiding behind the cross give him wisdom help him to say those things which would penetrate our hearts so that we might fall out with sin so just purpose in his heart father give him remembrance of all those things that you have given him that he might preach the word the unadulterated word of god father we thank you now so much for just the privilege of worshiping you well it's just a privilege just the ability just the entrance father thank you for your presence now father there are people among us who are sick and shut in those people are bereaved only you can comfort and we ask you to comfort like only you can bring them peace that passes all understanding then father we have all sinned and come short of the glory we ask you to forgive us of our sins we've sent we've done something we've said something in word or deed father has not been pleasing your sight and we ask you to forgive us so now we thank you so much for all that our eyes will see all that i ears will hear in jesus name amen we are so thankful to be in the house of the is one more time to be in the house of the lord we are so thankful that god has allowed us one more time to assemble to be able to worship him in spirit and in truth he who is king of kings and lord of lords we would like to welcome everyone our members who are sitting at home at the table or wherever you might be awakening to a new sunday we want to thank you so very much for tuning in to us this morning virtually to be a part of our service and we also want to extend a welcome and thank you so very much to those who may be visiting us those who may have gotten up this morning got on the internet and god brought you here to be a part of our service there's a special reason that you hear you add to our ability to worship him the way that he needs to be worshiped he is the one whose attention we should be completely focused on so we thank you so very much for taking up your time by the way if you're looking for a church home we know of no better place than here at mount olive to celebrate the life the death the resurrection and the power of our lord and savior jesus christ and here in mount olive so please after the sermon has been preached after our pastor preaches and the us this morning there are a few announcements that we'd like to share with you we're we're so blessed again uh that this friday we will have the second covet shot over across the street and near our gymnasium in the parking lot for those who were able to take your shot on the september the 10th the first one you can come and take your second shot this coming friday they'll be there from nine to five so please come take your shot there is nothing that provides protection against this raging virus like this vaccines that we have so please take advantage of it and by the way it's for anyone who is 12 years old and above so please come get your vaccination also if for some reason you were not able to take your first shot on september the 10th but you desire to take your first shot you can come also this friday at the first october first and they will help you identify where you can go get your second shot so it's very important that we take advantage of this so that will be this working with texas health texas health has has joined with us and are offering this wonderful service to our community so please come get your vaccinations this friday start from nine to five o'clock it's friday october the first and as i said anyone who's 12 and over come get it anyone who came earlier and need that second shot please come and anyone who has not taken their first shot this will be an opportunity for you to get your first shot and then follow up uh with your second chat so please take full advantage of that i want to just remind everyone of our care compassion and comfort committee meets every second saturday so that will be the 9th at 10 a.m virtually so please call into the church register so that those who are going through difficult times with a loved one god has brought home and there's this empty void you're trying to deal with this committee has been specially put together to share with you the love of christ to encourage you during these challenging times so please make sure that you call in and register so that you can be a part of that on october the 9th we have another great event coming up pretty pretty soon the second sunday in october will be the start of our fall revival dr joel gregory will be here with us to share the good news of jesus christ amen it just reminds us we're getting closer and closer to falling into some normalcy and as i passed the reference this new normal we are falling into this new normal so please plan on being a part of our service i will describe how all will flow a little later but just remember on october the 10th the second sunday in october we will start our fall revival and then on that monday tuesday and wednesday evenings we will continue our revival with dr joel greco we are looking forward to hearing dr gregory so please put that on your calendar and also this wednesday we have a special event we for the third this is our third annual praise in the park and we'll be doing it virtually again as we did last year so please join us wednesday as our evangelistic team reminds us that we love this community and want to reach out to this community and engage them and let them be a part of our church so this wednesday instead of our normal wednesday night service we'll have a special praise in the park service so join us and pray that god touches the hearts of everyone who's who's able to hear we want to announce the passing of a dear sister who's a member of our church sister teresa merriweather rutledge please be in prayer for that family uh these are challenging times anyway but particularly when someone a loved one is brought out of our presence it challenges us so please be in prayer for the rutledge family we are blessed today that we will have our pastor to bring the good news of the lord jesus christ to us so please let us keep pastor thompson in prayer and thank god so very much for him and the leadership he's given us here at the church we're not going to ask reverend david hogg if he will come and read our familiar passage of scripture isaiah chapter 40 and then lead us to the throne of grace may god bless us as we turn our attention to being a blessing to him amen good morning thanks be to god that we have another opportunity to read our scripture that's been read at this church for many years thank god so much for late senior pastor robertson back in the 60s when he came he implemented this scripture and our services and we're blessed pastor thompson has continued uh our reading isaiah chapter 40 verse 28-31 if you would please turn to isaiah chapter 40 verse 28-31 and we'll read this together on this morning the word of god reads has thou not known has thou not heard that the everlasting god the lord creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not neither is weary there is no searching of his understanding he giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might he increases strength even the you shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall but they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint so read is the word of god let us continue to wait on the one our heavenly father who knows everything who is everywhere and who has all the power to do whatever he wants at this time if you would wherever you are in your homes if you would please stand with us if you are family if you stand and join hands if you are a single young adult or single senior if you can please stand at this time and let us observe those names that are on our prayer requests for this morning it may not be you or i this morning but you never know about later today these families have called in and requested prayer and let us honor their request to pray for them as a congregation lifting them up to our heavenly father through our lord and savior jesus christ let us pray together dear heavenly father we approach your throne of grace and mercy in the name of your son jesus christ god we thank you so much for another opportunity god to come into your house of worship and glory even if it's our own addresses we're still in your house and we come this morning lifting up the name of your son jesus christ thanking you so much for waking us allowing us to see another day that we've never seen before and we'll never see it again we don't want to run around your grace this morning we thank you for another day god we thank you most of all for your son jesus christ your only begotten son who died on the cross for our sins and you raise them up on the third day thank you for the precious blood of jesus christ your word reminds us as even while we were yet in sin jesus christ died for us thank you thank you for demonstrating your love for us through your son jesus christ on the cross now god we are praying on today that you will forgive us of the sins that we have committed we've fallen short of your glory and we're so thankful that you have the wonderful grace and mercy to forgive us grace you give us what we don't deserve your mercy you don't give us what we do deserve thank you for blessing us with your grace and your mercy your word reminds us if we confess our sins that you are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness thank you god for your forgiving grace now god we thank you so much for the opportunity to stand in intercessory prayer of those who have requested prayer on this morning you already knew before the request even came in you knew that they were going to need the prayers of the righteous and so father we're thanking you as we have an opportunity to lift up these names that are on the prayer list this morning you know every hair on our head you know the names on the list and god we know that there are assortment of different areas that they need prayer some are in the hospital some have have some health challenges and deficiencies some are in the convalescent homes in the retirement centers but wherever their requests are god we are praying this morning that you would please meet them at their very needs god we are praying this morning for the families that are caretakers we know god that in this environment it is very challenging that they are not able to have total access at all times but god that only reminds us that when we don't have access you always have access so the rooms that we can't go in and and the things that we may not be able to do with our loved ones we know that you are there so god we're praying that you will please comfort and strengthen the hearts of the caretakers those who are going back and forth wondering and wearing and concerned about their loved ones we pray that we'll do what your word tells us to do to cast all our cares upon you because you care for us when the load is too heavy for us and the burdens are too heavy we know that you are a burden bearer so god we put it all in your hands and then god we're praying that you will continue to heal our land we we are seeing you in action in real time right now you are such a faithful god thank you god for the vaccines that you have allowed us to have here on this earth we know that it couldn't have been done without you and so we just want to say thank you god thank you for the moderna thank you for the visor thank you for the for the vaccines that you have provided nobody but you and so god we pray that you will continue to activate these vaccines and that you will work in these old bodies here on this earth and that at the end of the day you will get the glory and the honor is there a bomb in gilead oh father we know that you are jehovah rapha and only you can heal and so god we're praying that you will continue to heal and bless the medical professionals every doctor every nurse god we know that they're on the front lines and they're stretched and they're stressed but god one thing we know is that you've called them into this field and we pray that they will lean upon you they're tired and they're weary and we pray they will lean upon you for strength and for guidance and then god as we close this prayer we thank you for this mount olive church we pray you'll continue to bless us continue father to be led by pastor thompson as you lead him we pray that you will continue to endow his head with wisdom that only can come from you give him the power and the strength to continue to lead this church through your will we pray for sister thompson you'll continue to touch and heal her body we thank you for what you have already done it's a prayer praise report that you have already touched your body and we give you glory for that and we pray for his mother that's in memphis we thank you so much and she continues to be there and he am here but we know you're with her and we pray that you'll continue to bless earth she's there in memphis tennessee so god bless our services today we pray that someone is saved that they will give their life to jesus christ through the preaching of your word this is our prayer on today as we pray this prayer in jesus name amen god bless you and god keep you as our [Music] the river [Music] giving our praises to god god our father one who sent our savior god the son of god the lord and savior jesus christ and to the holy spirit whom i pray even right now will be instrumental in preaching this his word and we want to thank god for the preachers that share the sacred duty of preaching and to all assembled at home as you view both visitors and members we thank god for you it is a good day and we give god all praises no matter whatever you're going to remember god is our refuge and our strength a very present help in trouble therefore we will not fear keep that in your heart as even as you face these days ahead well today if you don't mind i want to look at at the book of hagai it is in the old testament i think it's right before zechariah it's a very short book but i want to spend some time there if you don't if you will i want to thank god for my wife who's presently praying for me thank god it's reverend hawk so prayed thank god for her healing and her recovery we pray for all the sick and bereaved pray to god we heal and recover as he only can do from the first chapter of the book of haggai from the first chapter of the book of hagai i will read verse seven and eight but we will be concentrating on the whole chapter chapter one there are three to four messages that haggai gives in this short book and if god allows i will try to bring to you both all those messages in this short book the first message we'll concentrate on chapter one uh i'm going to read verse seven and eight however we will be looking at the whole chapter hagar chapter one reads thus says the lord of hosts consider your ways go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple that i might take pleasure in it and be glorified says the lord uh the book of hagai is from the prophet hey god he is what is called a post prophet after the exile so we will see what brother prophet hagar has to say to those let me have you consider this as a subject consider your ways colon decisions you make before the lord consider your ways colon decisions you make before the lord life has many decisions uh in my studying and googling and all that it was consistently said that an adult makes about 35 000 decisions a day i just couldn't i just couldn't imagine what all we were making decisions about but when they start listing them we make them so quick we don't even realize that we made but they said roughly about 35 000 a day and of course i think the key is not so much the specific number is that the vast number of decisions we make daily is the point uh being made and the sobering fact about decisions is that we have to live with the decisions we make we have to live with the decisions we make it named um 12 bad decisions we make in a day and i looked at that list i mean once i got on decisions i just kind of went for it and i didn't agree with some of the 12. i i didn't want to bore you all with decisions i started to bring them because you probably would agree with me i didn't agree with the 12 decisions but when they showed the results of these decisions that we make that we don't really give much attention to when they showed the results of those decisions then i had to agree that the decisions some of the decisions we make unaware they said 12 habitual decisions we make in a day i probably should have brought that you're looking at me i really should have brought that information one of them was about browsing anyway but 12 decisions that we make that uh in the end when you look at the damage that they do they're not really good decisions and that's that will be my argument today is that we make decisions but we never think about the fact that god is going to make a decision based on our decision we tend to believe that we make decisions in a bubble and once i decide that's what i want to do every you're done and have no indication no thought uh of considering your ways and how your decision is gonna affect others and the person that i'm most want you to think about and who your decisions affect is god if you can't if you don't want to consider anybody else if you say i don't care about anybody else well i i want you to be careful with that quick tongue of yours and consider your also your decision will affect god and god will respond in this book of hagai the children of israel were sent to exile once conquered by the babylonians and they were in exile for 70 years the babylonians defeated judah and they went into exile for 70 years after babylon was defeated by the persians cyrus gave them leave to go back to their homeland and to build their temple they went back under the leadership of ezra and also later on nehemiah they went back and when they got there they built the foundation of the temple but some people in the neighborhood start giving them trouble about building the temple and so they made a decision and that's the decision i want to talk about they made a decision some people were not receptive to their building after they built a foundation and i want to talk about uh what they did in response to that the children of israel is about 50 000 of them is the number that is usually concluded on i'm gonna look at verse one and two uh first of all i want you to recognize that god acknowledges your decision you need to make that's the first argument i want to make listen to verse chapter one verse one in the second year of king darius in the sixth month of the first day of the month the word of the lord came to hager the prophet zerubbabel the son of shiatiel governor of judah and to joshua the son of jehozada the priest saying thus says the lord of hosts saying this people says the time has not come the time that the lord's house should be built god is recognizing that the children of israel after building the make the foundation they decided that it wasn't time to build god's house they made a decision the children of israel this this is not a joint decision between them and god verse 2 god is acknowledging that the children of israel without getting any consultation from god decided to tell god it was not time to build his house amen now god wants them to acknowledge he he heard that decision and they made that decision by the time hagai and zachariah come that was 16 years ago they made this decision 16 years ago and i i cannot speak for god but for 16 years they had chance to change their mind and for 16 years they made a decision i think that's called unilateral is that what they call you did it by yourself that you're not going to build god's house you told god it was not time and you made a decision and now god has sent his prophets to tell the children of israel i'm acknowledging the decision you made and 16 years ago you decided it was not time to build my house now in verse 3 and 4 god is going to examine and vet their decision notice what he says he said then the word of the lord came by hey god the prophet saying is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your panel houses and this temple to lie in ruins therefore says the lord of god consider your ways god's saying now let me make sure i got this right you made a decision that it was not time to build my house but you also made a decision it was time to build yours he wants them to think about that so he says consider your ways he's asking you to there's one uh preacher that uh commentary says you need before you can be thankful you got to first be thankful you want them to think you're telling me that i got you out of exile i brought you back to your land i took care of you all the time you were in babylon and you decided that my house was not time but you have time for your house he wants them to think and in your life there's two things i want to make sure you get while we're working on this i'm not going to deal specific i'm dealing specifically with their decisions but i want you to think about your own decisions in your life when you make a decision without god he acknowledges that don't think don't think you did it on the sly on the cuff he didn't see it he acknowledged that you decided unilaterally that you're going to make a decision that didn't include him and he's going to vet your decision and he's telling you to think about what you just did here is the interesting part if god don't send hagar and zechariah we don't know when the temple will be built they vent god is is is acknowledging their decision and he's asking them to examine their decision you know i don't know we we uh you know we we and i i do not i was you know there's two ways in ways people preach sermons you know some people say y'all and then but i don't say y'all i i was told that we probably need to say you more but i'm most of the things that i appreciate you about i'm guilty of yeah yeah that's what i have i can have a hard time saying y'all when it's us they made a decision didn't consult god god is now asking them to examine their decision he's giving them a chance but now he's going to do something even deeper than that he's going to say after you made your decision this is what i decided now this is where i think this generation has lost track you you can't make a decision and don't live with the repercussions you gotta you gotta take all of it in if you if you if you if you're big enough and you're bad enough and you're bold enough to say i don't need god then you gotta be able to live with your decision listen what god says in verse six you have sowed much but you bring in a little you eat but you never have enough you drink but you're not filled with drink you clothe yourself but you're not warm listen to this one and he who earned wages earned wages to put them into a bag with holes thus said the lord of hosts consider your way let's say he's saying you know what i did you made your decision you decided i wasn't important it's going to blow your mind you know what god said so i treated you like you wasn't important we don't like that side of god we got this santa claus vision of god that whatever goes and he just lives with it he said no you ignored my house and now he didn't totally ignore them they wouldn't even be alive they can't get up in the morning without god but he said i just gave you a taste of what ignores what indifference looked like you sold nothing came in you ate but you always hungry you know i had a mcdonald's special i'm trying to talk so you get an idea of what it eat not be full how broke and it got you a regular hamburger this is a long time well it's 70 now a regular hamburger a fry and a small coke and it costs 1.23 and i had to strategically eat it i couldn't just take off i had to eat it like four or five so that it would last the whole day but have you ever went through a dollar and 23 cents meal or when you get done you're still in you full that's a terrible feeling he said you have food and you never get enough say you have clothes that don't even keep you warm and this is the one that'll get you and i've been there you got money but it goes like you got a hole in the bag god said you made your decision i responded with my decision then he says here's what you need to do to fix it verse 7 8 consider your ways go up to the mountain bring some wood and build my temple that i might take pleasure in it and be glorified here's here how do you fix bad decisions go make the right decision now this i'm arguing i'm arguing with you on this because sometimes you get you get bogged down in analysis you're paralyzed with analysis and you think there's so much deep there's so much deepness in you and and you're so much different than everybody else bad decisions need to be counted with good decisions you don't need to you you might need some help in some areas i'm not trying to discount what you might have some help i think i got some challenges you know i know i yeah people around me remind me of my challenges but doing right don't mean you gotta always have a whole lot of counseling here's what god said he just said now come in and let me give you along he says hear what you do consider your ways go up to the mountain bring the temple down till timber down and start building my house that's how you fix bad decisions what is the bad decision the bad decisions anything that's outside the will of god they stopped building the temple and that wasn't god's will and if you want to get your decisions right then you need to make a decision as in god will well what is god will you always give this impression we do that god is so hard to figure out when god makes his will known he said go up to the mountain and get the temper timber build my temple they might have you know uh you know we are very brilliant people and they might have thought about that and uh say wait a minute you know it can't be that simple so 9-11 god says now if you want to know just how much uh your decision meant to me and how i responded verses 9 through 11 he's going to say let me give you some more things that i did based on your decision in case you won't obey me look at verse 9 you look for much but it came to little when you brought it in i blew it away can you imagine that you went out and got all that grain you didn't harvest all that grain and god said when you really brought it in i just blew it away why because my house is in ruin while every one of yours runs to his own house see god don't want them to think this came you know i don't i'm not saying that all bad things that happen to you god is because you've made some sin but god is in this case he wants you to know very you you wanted much you didn't get little and your grain that you brought in i i blew it away and i want you to know and and the question is why because you disobeyed me if your decisions are outside the will of god you need to recognize god makes a decision based on your decision therefore the heavens above will hold the dew and the earth will hold this fruit listen to 11 this is this is this is getting really direct for i have called for a drought on the land and the mountains on and on the grain and on the new wine and on the org and whatever ground bring forth on men and livestock on all the labor of your hands i would call for a drought in other words i stopped it that was my decision that was my response to your decision church i am not trying to be morbid to be uh negative but i think we need i i am a preacher of god i i am called by god and i have to be honest because that's what god demands of me this is a time in history where we like to make decisions and don't care how others are taken but i'm suggesting that you might want to read and consider your ways because god makes decisions based on your decision and you might be reaping bad decisions because you're out of the will of god and don't think he you say well a preacher you got this negative view of god now he's not all the way because if he ain't not trying to give you a chance he could just take your life but he's giving you a chance to reconsider your ways consider your ways the decisions you've made are they in the will of god what is the will of god that's why you come and study he and god does not make his will difficult he said just go up to the mountains and bring down the timber and build my house that's my will and you can't change my will talking about it ain't time the samaritans that were bothering you you weren't supposed to quit because of them i tell you when to quit so he goes into details verse 12 then zerubbabel the son of giantiel and jehoshaphat joshua the son of jehoshaphat the high priest with all the remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the lord their god and the word of hager the prophet as the lord thy god has sent him the people feared the presence of the lord well here is the gist of this sermon consider the decisions you make before the lord because the decision you make he'll make a decision in response god called them and sent a prophet and he said hey god he also sends zechariah later on and he says to i didn't like your decision and he says here's what you've been reaping because of your bad decision 16 years ago you quit on me you just quit you know i didn't ask me you made a decision about the lord's house or i even talking to the lord and so therefore i made a decision based on your decision you reap some of the some of the things that i have done and the prophet hagai and zachariah said that to them and here's the good news here's the good news that i want to share to somebody listening they changed their decision and obeyed god that's all it takes now you don't have to know somebody to know somebody no you don't have to network no you don't have to wear around with the biggest cross in the biggest bible here's how you fix it obey god and they said they obeyed god's rubable and joshua leaders says we can't leave that house we've got to go back and build god's house and they obeyed the voice of god somebody your life has been kind of in a turmoil i want to suggest that you consider your ways go back and do a reflection on your life and see the decisions that you're currently making are they in the will of god are you outside the will of god the only safe place in the world is in the will of god the king of the king of egypt made a decision that the children of israel were were enemies that was a bad decision now it didn't work nebuchadnezzar decided that the three hebrew boys need to be in fire bad decision daniel was put in the line then because that was a bad decision yeah they got a man by the name of herod and the sermon on the peace next service one time he was talking to the people of god and and they gave him so many praises and he took the praises in bad decision body god ate up with worms bad decision they they had a they had a a law called the prohibition they decided they were going to quit making liquor couldn't sell liquor that was going to make us righteous they said they're going they're gonna legislate righteousness bad decision more people got killed more people got drunk on the prohibition than when they sold it you need to consider your ways you need to ask god i was talking to the young adults the other day sometime i know the and i'm not speaking against the slick talkers because sometimes they just charismatic and just talk i don't think they mean something i'm trying to defend myself sometimes they just be talking but that might not be the man god wants you to have consider your ways you keep getting heartbroken over something that looks good and god is trying to give you the right decision you giving up on doing things that's right because you want to have your way like a kid pouting and you won't consider god consider your ways and the bible says in verse 13 then hey god the lord's message just spoke the lord's message now i want to say this just for the preacher i love this sentence the lord's messenger spoke the lord's message that is about it boy i'm trying to keep that one in my i'm trying to make sure i don't blow that then the lord messenger spoke the lord's message to the people that's our job the lord's messenger spoke the message of the lord to the people saying i am with you here's here's the good news when you make the decision that god asks you to make notice what his assurance is he says go tell the people now that they have decided to obey me here's the good news i am with you you may you you you considered your ways and you decided leaving that house undone leaving my my house undone was wrong and now you're building it here's what god says in response to you considering your ways and changing your ways and obeying me here's my promise i am with you you want blessed assurance consider your ways let god decisions be your decisions let god's will be your will let god's word be for you let god ways be the way you follow and here's the promise god gave let them know i will be with them and they began to build on god's house reflect on your life and think of the daily decisions you make are you in obedience to god are you disobedient and then different don't really care remember god will respond to your decision with his decision make the decision where god can respond to you i am with you there were two men on the cross there were two men on the cross with jesus jesus was in the middle there were man on the right and the man on the left let me hear i want you to hear the conversation that went on on that cross some decisions was made up there listen to this listen to this conversation one of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed at jesus so you're the messiah are you well prove it save yourself and us too why are you at it the other criminal protesters don't you fear god even when you have been sentenced to die we deserve to die for our korean crimes but this man hasn't done anything wrong then said jesus then he said jesus remember me when you come into your kingdom and jesus replied i am i assure you today you will be with me in paradise jesus was in the middle one decided that jesus wasn't all that scoffed at him one decided he ain't that big a deal if he was that big a deal he saved himself and us too the other man on the other made another decision he said lord remember me you know that's what happens in life the key is your decisions before god are you in the will of god well are you out of the will of god it's life of death and salvation god has sent his son and the only way you're going to go to heaven you've got to make a decision for jesus but if you decide jesus ain't all that then remember he's going to respond to that decision too my word to you today in this world we live in with all this information all this technology and all the analytical work we can do and all the input we can have don't get too smart for your britches consider your ways if it ain't in god's will then it's out of god's will and god will respond and if you've never said jesus yes to jesus christ here's my here's my plea here's my prayer to you thy consider your ways and say yes to jesus thank you and may god bless you it's my prayer amen the plea has been given consider your ways we need to look internally in the inside need to do a spiritual mri test in the inside and look at your own soul and consider your ways man woman boy and girl make a true decision for jesus christ we all have a choice to make to accept jesus or to reject jesus as the choir sings there might be one today who'll step out on faith and believe that jesus christ is lord the number is on the screen to call consider your ways and accept jesus as your lord and your savior will you call in will you open your heart for salvation for membership for prayer where you say yes to the lord jesus consider your ways consider your ways open your heart [Music] let jesus christ come in and change your life come in and open your heart come in and do a work in the inside consider your ways look internally look at your heart look at your decisions [Music] and open your heart to jesus christ as your lord and your savior consider your ways [Music] will you call in [Music] in your home if you're wrestling if you're wrestling right now will you call in let somebody talk with you let lord said remember me but there is one who rejected you and father we pray right now that we will obey your word and make a decision for you and not reject you lord we thank you lord for the messenger thank you for using pastor thompson to preach your word and give him lord preaching power and strength that he may preach with the anointed of jesus christ that he may preach oh god under the unction of the holy spirit that he may preach god that jesus as a herald of the gospel that somebody might hear jesus christ and might be saved lord we thank you today father for your word we thank you lord for all that you do now father please we pray that you'll bless us to share and given that your name will be lifted and your name will be praised god we love you and we thank you and we praise you in
