7 Things to Increase the Anointing in Your Life - Your Path Is Dripping with the Anointing

tonight i've got a word from the lord for you all right so uh so if you got your bibles go with me to the book of psalms i if if you don't read any of these verses tonight you got to read this first one because this is really a word from god for this fellowship and i'm not going to go along because we want to pray for you as well but in psalm 65 it says this praise is awaiting you o god in zion and to you the vow shall be performed in in o you who hear prayers to you all flesh will come and negative iniquities prevailed against me as for our transgressors you provide atonement for them and blessed is the man you chose you choose and and cause to approach you that he may dwell in your courts and we shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house and of your holy temple temple by awesome deeds and righteousness you will answer us oh god of our salvation you who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth in the far off seas who established the mountains uh by his strength being clothed with power you who still the noise of of the seas and and noise of the waves and the tumults of the people and they also who dwell in the furthest parts are afraid of your signs you make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice now here we go you visit the earth and you water it and you and you greatly enrich it and the river of god is full of water and you provide their grain for so you have prepared it and you water its riches ridges abundantly and you settle its furrows and you make it soft with showers and you bless its growth and you crown the year with goodness and your paths drip with anointing you crown the year with goodness you got to hear this you crown the year with goodness this is your word from the lord church you crown the year with your goodness and you your your paths are dripping with the anointing and they drop on the pastures in the wilderness and the little hills rejoice on every side the pastures are clothed with flocks and the valleys also are covered with grain and they shout for joy you know here he begins to talk about the paths the paths all you crown the year with your goodness and your paths are dripping with abundance or your paths one version says it's dripping with anointing god's pathways are dripping with anointing but he also makes our pathways dripping with anointing right and so there are some some things that we can begin to do i wrote down seven things the lord gave me that you can cultivate and increase the anointing in your life and so i wrote down seven things the lord was speaking to me out of this that you crown the year with your goodness and your paths are dripping with abundance and so number one the first thing of to see the abundance of god on your pathway it begins with this it begins with hunger revival always begins with hunger right always begins with thirst right so it always begins there you know jesus said if any man thirsts right so he didn't say there's a river he said no he said first there's thirst so long before the river would come that begins with thirst so god begins with you and i begins with a hunger and a thirsting and a thirsting for god and a thirsting for god's presence and a thirsting for the anointing amen and so as we begin to thirst and we begin to hunger for it there's a greater degree of god's presence some people come into church and whether during the worship or the word or people getting ministry and stuff and they just stand there and they're blinking their eyes like a frog in a texas hailstorm and they're bored they can't wait they walk in they say what times they get over and it just got started why because their heart is not with god i said their heart's not with god right it might be with religion but it's not with god right so you know and religion is different than a relationship obviously and so we know that but also religion is different than revival that's why in the old testament when they went and they started you know uh worshiping the golden calf moses made him melt it down and they he made him drink it you're gonna drink your own religion that's what he said you're drinking your own religion you made it you drink it is that something huh and and and that's that's what we're seeing especially in this last year with this whole crazy coven thing we've seen churches that have folded up listen we went to a church out in oregon and this pastor told me he said i got a phone call from another pastor in town of a seeker sensitive church that had no moving no power no gifts no anointing nothing for years he had like i think he had like six seven hundred people and he went and he was telling everybody stay home stay home bask up stay home stay home mask up as fast as you can and you're saving the world by doing it you know and he did that all year and then somewhere right before thanksgiving he tried to open his doors and he had 11 people left and so this pastor he called up our friend up there who never stopped he never stopped they just kept going you know just never stopped and just like us we never stopped we just kept going i actually had guys if i said their name you would fall off your chair guys that said to me that we were reckless and didn't love the body of christ because we kept preaching i said i'm called to preach i'm called to bring the gospel brother the gospel is not stay at home and mask up the the gospel is not masked up come on somebody the gospel is jesus is the answer that's the gospel you understand and much less for a disease that kills .03 percent my lord i mean point excuse me 0.3 and that's only people that are uh you know already at risk i mean crazy those are crazy numbers so anyways so this pastor gets a phone call and this fellow from the seeker sensitive church comes and says i want to meet with you and he thought i have no relationship with this guy the guy came to his church and the car was running with his wife in the car and the kids in the car and he said well tell your wife and kids they can come in he said no he said i'm leaving the car running i'm only here for five minutes and the pastor said i'm here to bring you this and he hands him an envelope and our friend said well what is this and he said i'm so ashamed of myself that i preached all this time that jesus was the answer and i got all scared as soon as all of a sudden you know the news media went and said it wasn't safe and stuff and told my people to stay home he said i'm so ashamed i'm quitting the ministry i'm going to florida and he said we closed the church down and here's the funds that were left in our account i'm so ashamed i'm shutting the doors and i'm leaving town come on somebody somebody's been made to drink their own powerless religion come on right so the first thing of revival excuse me the first thing to see an increase of the anointing of god in your life is to increase your hunger even in the face of death come on somebody i mean peter was you know killed upside down on the cross come on you know i mean he was told by his government not to preach in that name did he say oh do you want me to stay home come on talk to me church come on this is the bible this is the word of god i mean this pastor who went and told me this story he said my family comes from soviet the soviet union and he said if i closed the church and i died and go to heaven one day my grandfather would smack me in the face in heaven he said my grandfather was banished for 40 years to siberia for preaching the gospel [Music] 40 years he lived up in siberia and then here the government tells me to close down come on somebody that's something all right so so go from there go over to psalms 23 psalms 23 all your paths are dripping with the anointing all your paths are dripping with the anointing psalms 23 says the lord is my shepherd i shall not want he makes me lie down in green pastures and he leads me ah beside what still waters and he restores my soul and he leads me there's a second time he says he leads me in what in paths he leads me in paths in the hebrew it says in tracks he leads me in tracks of righteousness for his name's sake yea though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i'll fear no evil for you are with me and your rod and your staff they comfort me and you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies and he ends it with the anointing and you're you anoint my head with oil so he starts with the paths and he ends with the anointing you anoint my head with oil and my cup runs over and surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and i'll live excuse me i'll dwell in the house of the lord forever amen go over to proverbs chapter 4. proverbs chapter 4 hallelujah all of our paths so number one the number one thing to increase the anointing of god in your life is his hunger you gotta it's always begins with hunger number two is is is praying in tongues praying in tongues come on right there's nothing like praying in tongues if you're not filled with the holy spirit it's a big thing you know this is why the devil fights this more than anything else we have almost 19 000 subscribers on our youtube channel and i could post on anything i could post on jesus is the only way i could post on the blood of jesus i could post on eschatology i could talk about anything divine healing but the moment i post on speaking in tongues my lord i mean people come unglued i mean the trolls come out of i mean i can't tell you how much we could like hate email and all of this stuff people just write wicked stuff and from christian people christian people i tell you what these religious people they they're so mad as soon as you say tongues you know the late john osteen joel osteen's father he was a wild holy ghost man and he spoke at my bible school rhema when he came to tulsa and one time he went and he spoke in our and it there for kenneth hagin and in 1994 i got to see him in person and he began to tell a funny story of he was southern baptist who got the baptism of the spirit and he said i was speaking in tongues all the time and he said he said all my southern baptist friends went and were like man we see a major difference in your life since you got this baptism of the holy spirit can we have it but we just don't want the tongues he said we want the baptism of the spirit but we don't want the tongues john said i stood there for a second i looked at him and i said you ever buy a new pair of shoes they said yes he goes the tongue comes with the shoe [Applause] he says brother it's part and parcel you can't get them separate it all comes together you get the tongue with the shoe [Laughter] so proverbs chapter 4 says the pat verse 18 the path there is again the path the path all three of these verses i'm giving you the path or the pathway or the tracks of the just is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter to the perfect day hallelujah that's what that's what's going to happen with you amen and it says in the way of the wicked is like darkness they don't know what makes them stumble my son give attention to my words incline your ear to my sayings do not let them depart from your eyes keep them in the midst of your heart for they are life to those that find them and health to their flesh and keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the springs of life amen so the paths of the just the paths the pathway so how do i cultivate the anointing of god in my life well number two is is by speaking in tongues and beginning to not just once a month or once a year or once a week but every day i said every day every day that you start to pray in tongues right i remember several years ago i was i would do prayer walks with my dog i had to walk my dog this is when we lived in florida and our dog's in heaven now but we went and we were we were walking this our dog and stuff and i was walking this dog and and i just said you know what i'm just going to pray in tongues the whole way and so i started praying in tongues whatever it was 45 minutes and stuff i came back with the dog and i stopped praying in tongues and when i stopped praying in tongues i was just i could see my house almost right in front of me and i'm walking and all of a sudden the spirit of the lord comes on me and he said i want to give you a way to discipline your prayer life now you can write this on the side if you want he told me he said he gave me five things to do he said here's how you discipline your daily prayer life number one he said i want you to pray in tongues he said number two i want you to pray for yourself character things and stuff like that number three he said i want you to pray for others intercession right number four he said i want you to give us this day our daily bread right pray for finances right and he said number five he said the fifth thing i want you to do is i want you to prophesy over your day what am i going to do in that day and that's what the lord said to me i want you to do this every day when when you pray and so when you pray do it this way so he began to deal with me about praying in tongues was a great way and he began to speak to me about it showing me this is that there's something about it that our spiritual antennas go up when we pray in tongues our spiritual antennas your spiritual antennas how many of you want to hear god's voice better anybody okay so it begins with you beginning to cultivate by praying in tongues amen so it's one of the best things that you can do number three the third thing is is to prophesy to practice prophecy to practice prophecy now prophecy doesn't have revelation in it if if you don't know that prophecy simple prophecy is edification exhortation comfort that's first corinthians 14 3. okay so we throw a lot of things in a sack and we just shake it all together and we call it all prophecy but really that's not prophecy prophecy is just edification exhortation comfort that's prophecy according to the word of god amen the new testament so according to the new testament when you speak just a word of encouragement just like pastor and i were speaking over different people primarily most of that about 80 percent of it was prophecy we were just prophesying edification exhortation come on and comfort guess what you can do this every day you can do it covertly you know i have a friend from bethel he told me he said god spoke to him to everyday love on one person with his words and so he said every day all i do is i go out of my way to love on one person i just tell somebody you know hey i really you know i like your shirt or whatever and man do you have an amazing smile anyone ever tell you you have a great smile and or whatever it might be something like that and he said it always begins that little bit of edification that little bit of honoring somebody come on somebody right begins to trigger something in their heart and he says it always ends up into a prophetic opportunity come on right so number three is prophecy and well if you want to do this do slash prophecy slash words of knowledge yes so prophecy slash words of knowledge so what are what are words of knowledge it's a fragment of god's knowledge it's not all of god's knowledge but it's just a piece of god's knowledge right so it's just a piece of god's knowledge that you begin to call out a piece of god's knowledge about somebody you know like here in a little bit i'm going to call out some words of knowledge for people and they're specific and you don't have to test them in 2024 you know you're going to do this and you're going to do this and you're going to do that and that's great that's words of wisdom but that's not word of knowledge where the knowledge is present and past but words of wisdom is future you know if i just say you're going to do you're going to do you're gonna do you're gonna do you're leaving you're like i can't wait for what i'm gonna do but what about what i have done what if somebody would tell me like jesus told the woman at the well you've been married you know so many times right the man you're living with now is not your husband is that right so that was a word of knowledge when agabus went and took paul's belt and sat and wrapped his arms with it and said the man who owns this belt is gonna go go and get be thrown into prison what was that that was a word of knowledge that wasn't prophecy that was a word of knowledge so what if we began to practice these things daily so what if you begin to practice every single day and being willing to fail what if we got delivered of our pride of being right you know in the church we're like if i'm wrong one time oh my gosh you know and i'm just the kind you know what i don't care i'm willing to be wrong amen i i am i i seriously i don't care right hey i i may strike out nine times but that tenth time i'm gonna hit it hard come on right you know and it's the same thing as true regarding divine healing well i'll get into that later but but you know i i did the same thing i just went and i just practiced and practiced and practiced in practice you know and and i believe this is that you know most of the church only practice these things in here but what if you begin to through your day begin to say all right i'm going to speak a word to someone that they want to hear the same thing i want to hear so what if you just gave a word to someone that you want to hear come on somebody someone to tell you would that be awesome right what would that do it would instantly bring a dimension of the anointing of god in your life why because uh romans 12 says he that prophesies let him prophesy according to his portion of faith right so according to his faith so you begin to prophesy according to your faith but then take it to the next level and begin to call out words of knowledge so just the other night uh a day before yesterday i was ministering in dayton and i just said all right we're gonna prophesy over everybody in the church where's my friend from ci i love bill hammond that guy he just took me to the outer limits of my mind all right so two nights ago i said we're going to prophesy over the whole church everybody so it took whatever 45 minutes whatever lined everybody up all the way around the church and i just started one by one bam bam bam bam so the third person i noticed i was just given generic prophecies and i'm like okay no more i'm gonna swing for the fences if i miss everyone i don't care because i'm going to hit this sucker come on somebody right and so i said i want to give this next one a specific word of knowledge and as soon as i put my hand on this woman's shoulder i saw a red car i said do you have a red car she said no and then she starts crying she goes my mom just died and i inherited her red car and now she starts crying just i just said red car that's all i said and then instantly i saw april and i said what's in april and she starts crying she goes that's my mother's birthday i said april 24th she said that's my mother's birthday ah i wasn't thinking of that until you walked and sat down and instantly that thought hit me is that awesome huh so april 24th ah that was a word of knowledge for her right you need a car ah that's a word of knowledge so in the name of jesus we just prophesy a brand new car that wasn't an accident that i said that that was a supernatural a supernatural thing it was prophetic thank you lord i'm running out of time so listen so so listen so i practice everyone say practice so as you practice guess what you're cultivating the anointing of god in your life so all right so number uh that's number three number four evangelism outreach outreach as you begin to start to get out of yourself evangelism the the the word for witness is the word martyr did you know that the word witness in the new testament is the greek word martyr why because you die to yourself every time you do it right so like pastor chuck he came he came with us last november we took a bunch of wild holy ghost people to las vegas and we did a ministry outreach and we're going again in november if you want to go with us we're bringing about 35 people with us and so you can go on our website here in the next couple weeks and you'll be able to sign up for that but every november we always go there and and we minister in prophecy and we do training and all of that stuff so they all came with us and i mean there are some people that were nervous and so i went i took this these two people with me and they were real nervous and i said i said come on let's go let's go talk to this person and they said can i ask you a stupid question i'm like sure now we're walking up to this person who evangelized and they're like do you ever get nervous i go every time they're like whoa what you're an evangelist i said i know i am i said but every time it's an abnormal thing come on church you never feel led to do this you ever notice it it's just like fasting you're not like oh wow i could feel a fast coming on no you could feel a feast coming on that's what you can feel coming on is a feast not a fast you know so so it's the same thing it's true with evangelism but guess what it's a labor of love you do it because you love it and so it's a death there's a it's like a death to yourself and the more you lift up the main thing you make the main thing the main thing come on somebody that something begins to happen what is that there's a deposit of the anointing of god in your life amen so what is that number four number five worship worship as we worship you know i i met my wife in the uh revival there in kansas city at the smithton revival and they had over 950 000 visitors from all over the world in a little country town actually before they relocated to kansas city but and one of the things they did i love it i love it and i i've told so many pastors about it is what they did was it was an old country church just like i prophesied to you earlier it was an old little white country type of church and and what they did was it they had carpet remnants not not like this big but i'm talking about how many of you know what a carpet remnant is right it's only about that big right and they gave all the children a carpet remnant and so the kids had to worship god with the adults and so the the head of the children's ministry would be in there next to the kids and the kids couldn't be with the parents they had to be all with the kids up in the front and the the children's pastor would say come on let's sing let's worship god stay on your square you got to honor god on your square more than anybody else because the person next to you may not honor god on their square come on give him give him more and these kids with big hot tears running down their face from four years old all the way up to uh 11 years old would be jumping and shouting and screaming and praising god for an hour and a half every single night of revival [Music] and i had i brought so many pastors that revival they weren't touched because of the prayer ministry they weren't touched because of the preaching they were touched because of the kids and they worship with all of their hearts you know there's something about worship that as we begin to worship the lord you know some of the we call them revival books of the bible the book of nehemiah the book of judges the book of judges is about seven cycles of revival and seven cycles of rebellion and the book of nehemiah the book of ezra you know the book of ezra the whole book of ezra is about restoring worship that's what he did he was he was told do you know chapter 10 of the book of ezra bring you know about worship the whole thing was about restoring worship build back up the altar of worship amen so as we worship the lord we give god our best it's easy to just sing songs right brother listen i'm in church more than everybody in this room combined i am on an average year i'm sometimes in as much as 325 services that's how sometimes how many times i'm preaching and stuff and so 320 some services a year and you get into church that many times it's easy to get into form you understand so every time i come i have to shake off the dust of the day come on i have to shake off the weariness and say lord i give you my best i'm going to sing this song like i've never heard it before i'm going to sing it like it's my last night on this planet amen and and that's what i do i do my best to do that and i begin to do the same when it comes to the word i just begin to study the word like i've never read it before i want to give you another scripture uh proverbs chapter 3 verse 5. oh not yet not yet i just realized uh no i got to give you um the six number six first so number six is divine healing you want to see the anointing of god increase in your life begin to focus on healing everyone say focus on healing so many people don't think of it like this but jesus did more healing than he ever did teaching jesus did way more healing than he ever did teaching right but we focus so much just on teaching or preaching you know but jesus focused on healing come on right so the more we focus on healing i know there's something about it like just on sunday i went and i ministered to this young girl who had scoliosis and and she was radically healed and and she just sobbed well here she was uh an agnostic and she didn't come back to church all week except for she came last night and she came last night and got saved come on somebody and pastor dave and donna were there last night when she came gave her heart to the lord amen but what did it it was healing because she had no here she is an agnostic and she could not explain how do you explain she was in pain for all these years and now she's healed how do you explain that he said that's the power of divine healing that we begin to say lord jesus if healing was that important to you i need to lift it up i need to make it more important you go through the four gospels and you're just like healing healing healing healing healing i mean even sometimes the same story why i mean he had all that ink why not just tell it write something else you know write a teaching no because it was so important that we see the father's love not just hear the father's love amen and so there's something about divine healing that conveys the father's love in such a powerful way amen and and i believe that we have to start to elevate it in our in our lives that the lord wants to use your hands to heal the sick so lastly says verse 5 okay so i'll give you the seventh one in a second uh proverbs 3 verse 5. trust in the lord with all your heart ah and lean not to your own understandings in all your ways acknowledge him and he'll direct your ah there's paths again all your paths are dripping with the anointing so we're all the way back at the beginning right so he says trust in the lord with all your heart and then your paths will begin to drip right okay so let's keep on going so here he says in verse 5 trust in the lord then in verse 7 it says be not wise in your own eyes to fear the lord depart from evil it'll be health to your flesh strength your bones then he says in verse 9 honor the lord so he starts up in verse 5 trust in the lord and in verse 9 he says honor the lord but honor the lord with what tom honor the lord with your possessions and the first fruits of your increase so your barns will be filled with pl plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine so the seventh way to really begin to cultivate the anointing of god in your life is to begin to put giving in as an important thing giving not just in the church not dirt when an offering bucket yes that's important too but begin to give give all the time go to the grocery store pay for someone else's groceries just watch them freak out pay for someone else's whatever you know we were ministering up in uh springfield we had a little revival break out in 2008 in springfield and so as we were up there in springfield i share uh shared during the offering they had never heard any teaching during the offering and we began to start to pray over people over their finances and stuff like that there was a guy that was there a business guy who was radically touched during the offering time and god did a miracle in his finances i mean did a crazy miracle now he's a pastor there in springfield himself but this guy he would just weep during the offering teaching he would just cry like a baby it was the craziest thing and uh so right as the meetings were going on about the fourth day i was i was telling a story during the offering teaching about blessing someone else paying for someone else's lunch paying for that family over there people that don't even know you come on not just a way that it can come back to you come on but to bless somebody that there's no way in the natural can come back to you and so that's what i began to share that's exactly what i began to share well pastor miguel he got so blessed that we went out to breakfast the last day that i was there and so as we went out to breakfast he went and said to the waitress excuse me he said i want all of the policemen and all the servicemen that are sitting over there i want to pay for all their breakfast and she says well what am i supposed to tell them and she said he said you just tell them that we love and appreciate their sacrifice and that jesus loves what they're doing and and he blessed them and paid for their meal come on is that awesome amen is that awesome huh there's something about it that you just begin to to just bless somebody else that you just look to give you know there's just something about giving you know and uh and in so doing it brings an increase in the anointing of god in your life now your pastors are awesome but there's some places god sends us this freaks them out talking about giving i mean i'll tell you what they just it looks like it looks like lucifer coming out of them i mean i've had them just do a double flip i mean just yell at me in the back room before service i remember this one time we were ministering california we were in this week-long revival meetings and and right before service now let me back up it was my son's birthday my son was 11. and so all he wanted for his birthday was a really nice watch so we're like that's all you want yes that's all i want dad i said all right so we got him a nice watch but we flew from florida to california to go minister the whole way there he's like i wonder what time it is you know we're like it's five minutes since the last time you looked you know but he was just having fun with that watch right so now fast forward we're ministering here ministering there so about two weeks later we get to this church and it's a battle i mean i couldn't wait for the services to end it was just every service was a battle and every service i would get scolded before the service and after the service from the pastor but we just shielded our son from all of that junk you know and so he had no idea so i went and i was called in the office again before service and we had this whole thing and stuff and i just kind of just let it wash off of me and so we get into service and during the offering i start preaching about the one with the alabaster box and so as i'm talking about the one with the alabaster box man you could feel the anointing in the air and my son's going dad dad dad and i'm like paul just wait a minute now just give me five minutes and then we're going to pass the offering and then i'll find out what the fire is over here all right so so i keep preaching and he kept interrupting dad dad yeah and so i'm ignoring him and so i five minutes later we're done and so we're passing the offering plate so as we're i'm like what what is the problem you know what's going on he's never liked that and he goes dad and he starts crying he goes god told me to give the pastor my watch i'm like oh my god jesus help me father son and holy ghost god help me you have no idea what i've been dealing with and i'm like son are you sure he's like well dad don't you believe your own preaching and i'm like i'll smile and i'm like yes i do so i'm like i don't know how this is gonna go but i'm i'm gonna pay for it but all right so he gets up and he starts crying and he walks over now they got music playing during the offering and stuff and and the pastor's got his arms he's mad he's up just just furious with me because i took 10 minutes for the offering and uh i know right just a horrible thing right yeah and so here's my son walks up to him says pastor i only wanted one thing for my birthday this year and it was this watch and i got it two weeks ago and he said god wants me to give it to you and uh the pastor was just shattered it was just it was like just shattered he just said i can't receive it i can't i can't i just i can't do it i'm sorry he said no you have to this isn't from me this is from god and so the pastor said can i put it in a glass box and put it over at somebody's alabaster box somebody's alabaster box and i mean it just revival in that church right after that meeting it was just through that dumb offering of that watch sorry it gets me emotional amen isn't that awesome huh and so there's something about it amen come on thank you jesus [Applause] so there's something about giving there's something tied to your heart why because where your heart is that's that's that excuse me you know where your treasure is that's where your heart is amen so where your treasure is and so there's something about it and and i believe that if you really want to see the anointing of god in your life i just challenge you just look to give to somebody just look to pay for somebody else's meal and look to just bless somebody else just walk up to him and just give him 20 bucks just hey i just want to give this to you just you watch you watch you will sense the power of god come on you and an opportunity to minister i just came from illinois and while i was ministering we said that over there while i was ministering in illinois the pastor said will you take this for me brother thank you while we were ministering there he said we started doing something for evangelism he said i couldn't motivate our people with evangelism so he said so we started doing this once a month we take a 20 worth of quarters and we go to the laundromat we sit there we wait we pace everybody's laundry for the day and he said they got to sit there for an hour so it's a captive audience for evangelism and he said and we have people just break down crying they're like this is my i had my last dollar to pay for laundry and you come and pay my laundry is that awesome huh and and he just said tommy he said we've just had the craziest testimonies like the book of acts of people getting healed and saved and come on somebody give the lord a hang clap amen all of all of his paths are dripping with abundance and he wants to make our paths dripping with abundance and these are some things that we can begin to do to just see the anointing of god flow in our lives amen amen so father tonight in the name of jesus we thank you for your fire we thank you for your power we thank you for your goodness we thank you lord that you challenge us you provoke us and lord we thank you that you
