KB: Have you ever thought,
"Why can others do certain things so easily, and
it's difficult for me?" Have you ever felt like
there are things that you want to access, but
you can't seem to do it? Today, we're going to talk
about how to utilize the right tools to
get the job done. In other words, we're
going to talk about the breaker anointing. Don't go anywhere. We'll be right back on
"Life More Abundantly." [Music] KB: Hey, friends. Welcome to "Life More
Abundantly," and I'm so glad that you're
here with us today. Today, I want to talk
about one of the subjects that is near and dear to
my heart and something that I've often
been asked about. People send e-mails. They send messages. They call our
ministry line, and they want
to know, "Dr. Kynan, how do I break the
limitations in my life? How do I overcome the
things that are coming against me?" And I want to talk
today about the breaker anointing, and this is a
subject that's really very deep and very profound,
but I want to break it down in a very simple
way to talk about the anointing. What is the
anointing, first of all? What is the anointing, and
what does it have to do with a believer? You know, the Bible tells
us in 1 John 2 that the anointing which we have
received dwells in us, abides in us,
and it is truth, and it is no lie. Jesus said in Luke,
the fourth chapter, "The Spirit of the Lord
God is upon me for He has anointed me to preach
good tidings to the poor, to proclaim the acceptable
year of the Lord, to set the captives free." The Bible says in Acts
10:38 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with
the Holy Spirit and power, who went about doing good,
healing all that were oppressed of the devil." You know, one of the words
in our New Testament for anointing is the
word charisma, charisma, and the
word charisma deals with something that
is smeared on. It's a smearing. It's an oil, an unguent,
something that they would use for medicinal purposes
when somebody had a wound or somebody had, you know,
something on their body that needed to be healed. They would put an
ointment on their body. They would smear the
oil in their body, medicinal oil. Another imagery we
have of the anointing is, the Bible says that the
anointing was to run down Aaron's beard. It was to be poured upon
his head and to run down his beard. It was a fragrant oil,
and the oil was used to distinguish the priest
from those who were not a part of the priesthood. Also when kings were
ordained in their offices, they were anointed
by the prophets. They would put
oil on their head. So what is the anointing? You know, the Bible says
in the book of Isaiah, it says that the yoke is
destroyed by reason of the anointing. So when I think of
the anointing of God, I think of the
burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of
God dynamically working in someone's life. Let me say that again. It is the yoke-destroying,
burden-removing power of God dynamically working
in a believer's life. You know, one of the most
interesting things that I began to look at when I
first became a believer ... I would hear people
talk about the anointing. In fact, two of my
favorite people to watch were ... I would watch Benny Hinn,
and another person I would watch through
archives Kathryn Kuhlman, and one of the things that
she would often say is, she would say things like,
"Don't grieve the Holy Spirit. Don't you know
He's all I got?" And people would talk
about the anointing. "Oh, I feel the
anointing," and when I was a new believer, I was
a little bit confused. "What is the anointing
that they're talking about? What is this anointing
that they're talking about?" You know, can ever
believer have it? Are only
televangelists anointed? Are only well-known
preachers anointed, or is this some
I can receive? This was the
question in my heart, even as a young person
growing up in the things of God. And I began to be
fascinated with this concept of the anointing. You know, the Bible
says in Philippians 4:13, Paul wrote in his prison
epistle to the Philippian church, he says, "I can
do a lot things through Christ who
strengthens me." Contrary to
popular belief, Christ is not the
last name of Jesus. It's not Jesus' last name. On His birth certificate,
it wasn't Jesus H. Christ. But Christ is a title of
efficacy which represents ... Listen to this ... the anointed one
and His anointing. So what was Paul saying
in his epistle to the Philippians in
Philippians 4:13? He was saying, "I can do
all things through the anointed one and
His anointing." You see, we have received
an anointing on the inside of us and upon our lives. You know, the Bible talks
about in Micah 2:13-12, it talks about the
sheep of Bozrah, and it says that the
breaker shall come up before them, and he has
broken through the gate, and this is a prophetic
picture of the Messiah, who is the breaker. The Bible says that He has
broken through the gate and has gone before ... This is a prophetic
picture of the church and the people of God who
find themselves in an enclosure, who find
themselves in a fenced place, a place
that is enclosed, they can't get out of. You need a
breaker, you know, and I believe that
even on this show today, you're going to begin to
understand the power of the breaker anointing. Hallelujah. The breaker has
gone before you. You know, the word Bozrah
refers to limitations, barriers or restrictions. Any limitation, any
barrier or restriction requires a breaker
anointing to push through. Glory be to God. When we talk
about the breaker, what are we
really dealing with? When we deal
with the breaker, we're dealing with the one
who opens a gate and makes a way. Oh, I felt that
in my spirit. See, He is the waymaker. When the Israelites
were enclosed in Egypt, when they were trying to
leave Egypt and go about their way and go to the
land that God promised them, the land of Canaan
flowing with milk and honey, as they were on
their way to the Promised Land, they were
confronted by a Red Sea. They had to
face a Red Sea, and behind them was
pharaohs army coming to destroy them. They were
enclosed, and Moses says, "God, what am I
supposed to do? We're out here, and the
people are complaining. They said, 'You brought
me out to die.'" They were complaining and
murmuring against Moses, and God is ... And Moses is calling
onto God and saying, "God, what am I
supposed to do?" And there's a powerful
verse in the Scripture where God says to Moses,
"What's in your hand?" And he says, "Remember
the staff that I gave you. Stretch forth your staff,"
and the Bible says that the Red Sea was parted,
and God made a way where there seemed to be no way. You need to understand
the power of the breaker anointing. It can make a way where
there seems to be no way. It can open doors
where there are no doors. You see, the Holy Spirit
is a pathfinder for the believer. He can make a
way out of no way. He can make a door. The Bible says, "He opens
doors that no man can close," so if
you feel stuck, if you feel trapped,
if you feel limited, you need a revelation of
the breaker anointing in your life, in Jesus name. A lot of times, God gives
us an assignment that may seem difficult. You know, how do you
accomplish a difficult task? I remember when I
was first in ministry, and I kept saying,
"God, this is hard. I mean, this is a
difficult situation. How do I overcome
this situation?" And the Spirit of
the Lord said to me, He says, "Kynan, you
need to tap into a greater anointing." He said, "The job that
I've called you to do requires an
epistolic anointing." I said, "What is that?" I mean, I was
just totally lost, and I began to get
this picture from God. He said to me, "If
you're building a house, you use certain equipment,
but if you're building a skyscraper, you use a
whole different caliber of equipment." So what does that mean? It means the anointing is
the supernatural equipment to get the job done. When you
understand the anointing, God never assigns someone
and does not anoint them for said assignment. God never gives somebody a
task without giving them an anointing to
fulfill the task. The key is identifying and
releasing the anointing. So you got to understand
that the anointing, like oil, has
to be poured. It has to be
released, you see, and your understanding
of the anointing, your understanding of what
it is and how to access it will determine your
success in the things of God. You see, the anointing
makes all the difference. The anointing, beloved,
makes all the difference. You know, we're going to
talk a little bit more about this in a moment
because I want to talk about the anointing and
how we learn to access the anointing, but
before we do that, I want to ask you
this question out there, out there who
are watching this. I want to ask this
question and those are the street: what is
the anointing? I'm curious to see
what you're going to say. We'll be right back ... don't you dare
touch that button ... in just a moment on
"Life More Abundantly." Woman: I think anointing may
be giving a blessing or a title to
someone, and obviously, I think anointing has
different definitions in an variety of religions. Woman2: Hallelujah. The word
anointing, hallelujah, it reminds me of Aaron
when Aaron was anointed, hallelujah, and the oil
flowed from his beard, and so when I
think of anointing, I think of the Lord just
smearing himself all over me. Woman3: The word anointing to
me means being filled with God's spirit and caring
the presence of God with you wherever you go, with
comes out of spending time with the Lord. Man: Anointing means somebody
has a gift in order to reach the people. That's what the word
anointing means to me, somebody that has a gift
that's able to reach the people because not
everybody can do that. KB: Welcome back, beloved. That was a wonderful time
hearing your feedback on what the anointing is. You know,
before the break, we were talking about the
anointing and really the understanding of the
breaker anointing because this is very,
very important. If you're going to live a
thriving spiritual life, you have to know
how to identify, understand and partner
with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You know, this is the
thing that has made the difference in my ministry
is understanding the anointing. We said before that
the anointing is the supernatural equipment
to get the job done. We said that it is
the yoke-destroying, burden-removing power of
God dynamically working in a believer's life, but
it's more than that. I want to go into a little
bit more understanding of what the anointing is. You know, when Jesus
spoke in John chapter 4 in Capernaum, he was
speaking in the synagogue, and he began to talk
about the anointing, and he said said, "The
Spirit of the Lord God is upon for He hath anointed
me to preach recovery of sight to the blind." Hallelujah. Good news to the poor
that he would bind up the brokenhearted and to
proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Hallelujah. The year of the Jubilee,
to preach the liberty to them who were bruised. In other words,
what was he saying? Jesus was identifying
himself as the breaker. He was identifying himself
as the one anointed by God to break through. He spoke, concerning
the breaker anointing, of Himself. You know, we said earlier
that when we talk about the anointing, we
talk about the Cristos, the anointed one,
and His anointing. I want to go a little bit
deeper because this is so important. The word in the Greek to
anoint literally come from the Greek word ... It's [foreign]
crhio in the Greek, and it means to
smear or to rub oil. We mentioned that earlier,
to smear or to rub oil. Now, I want you to think
of this definition of the anointing. Listen to this
very carefully. The anointing, therefore,
is the heavenly oil that, once activated, releases
supernatural power. Can I say that
one more time? The anointing is
heavenly oil that, once activated, releases
supernatural power. Listen, let me
tell you something. When the oil of
God is on you, you can accomplish things
that other people can't accomplish. When the oil of
God is on your life, you can overcome things
that other people can't overcome. When the oil of
God is on your life, you will active
supernatural results. Oh, you've seen it
many times before. You know, there's one
woman gets up to sing a solo at
church, and you say, "Well, that was a
wonderful voice. Wow, she's very talented. Great pitch, great tone. Man, her runs were great. Her chromatic
scales were excellent." But when an
anointed person sings, you don't talk about
how talented they were. You don't talk about
their pitch or their tone. You say, "I felt
the presence of God." You say, "The Spirit
of God touched me." You say, "Oh, my god. Something fell off of me
when they were singing." Why? Because it's the
oil of heaven, and when the oil of
heaven is activated on a believer's life,
that believer releases supernatural power. You see, whatever you
place a demand on is what will be supplied. You remember the story
that we talked about in one of our former shows? We talked about how the
prophet Elisha went to the woman and said,
"What's in your house?" And she says, "I
have one cruse of oil." He said, "Go
borrow vessels." Listen to this, and he
says as she poured the oil into the vessels,
the oil kept running. Now there's a prophetic
revelation in there. As long as you make
your vessel available, the oil will flow, as long
as you make your vessel available. Listen, I want to be a
life that's available to Him. I want to be the kind of
person that God can flow through. I want to be a vessel of
honor fit for the master's use. You see, availability
is one of the keys to releasing the anointing. Understand that whatever
you do not recognize, you do not release. Write that down. Whatever you do
not recognize, you do not release. You see, you have to
recognize the anointing, not just on your life but
on the lives of those God sends to you. You know, some of you,
there's a man or woman of God in your life that
you have to respect and recognize what's on them
to receive what's on them. You know, Jesus
goes to Nazareth. He is the anointed
one in his anointing, and yet he can't do
many miracles there. Why? They didn't recognize
the anointing on His life. They didn't recognize
the oil on His life, and the same
is true of us, beloved. If we don't recognize the
oil of God on our lives or the lives of others, we
will not see a release of that oil. Hallelujah. Glory be to God. We said before that the
anointing you fail to recognize is the anointing
you fail to release. I gave the example of
Jesus in His hometown, so you got to be
careful with something. You see, preconceived
notions can hinder the anointing and hinder
your breakthrough. I will never
forget this story. A man came to our
church from Africa, and this man, my God, he
was a little short man like this, not
well dressed, not attractive
to look upon, and he was preaching
the most simple sermon. He got up on the
pulpit, and he said, "God loves you, everybody. God loves you. God loves you. God loves you,"
and I thought, "Man, sit down. We know that already. Come on. Preach a dynamic message. Preach something powerful
and revelatory that we've never heard before,"
and yet he just said, "God loves you. God loves
you," and I said, "God, what is
this guy doing? What is he doing?" And you know what? He got up, and
he sang a song, and his voice
began to crack. "Hallelujah,"
and I thought, "Oh, God. He's done it now. He's messed up
real bad now." But guess what happened? The heavens began to open,
and the glory of God came down, and people started
getting set free by the power of God. Chains were broken
off of people's lives. Grown men were balled up
in fetal positions crying like babies, and
people were screaming, and demons were
coming out of people. This little man, this
little man that was not very talented or
seemingly gifted, but he was
highly anointed, and because he
recognized the anointing, he was able to
release the anointing. See, the anointing you
fail to recognize is the anointing you
fail to release. Don't let preconceived
notions like me ... I judged the man
because of how he looked. Some of the most anointed
people in my life didn't look the part. They don't look the part. Are you hearing
what I'm saying? But when you understand
the power of the anointing ... Listen, they failed
to acknowledge Jesus' anointing, and they failed
to receive the miracles. Glory be to God. Are you hearing what
I'm telling you today? Glory to God. Listen, the second
thing you got to do, you got to learn how to
recognize the value of the anointing on your life. See, if you don't value
the anointing on your life, you're not going to
be able to tap into that anointing, and I said
before something very important. You are anointed. I want you to
say that with me. Say, "I am anointed. I am anointed, and the
anointing of the Holy Spirit dwells on
the inside of me." Yes, you are anointed. You are anointed. I'm going to say something
else that may be very controversial. A lot of us, it's not that
we need more anointing. It's that we need to
recognize value and respect the anointing
that we already have. You see, the law of
stewardship stands true for spiritual matters. What you
steward increases. Whatever you steward
appreciates in value. You see, what have you
done with what God has given you? What have you done with
the oil that you already have? See, the oil that you
have will determine the capacity of what
you can receive. Many people don't realize
that they are anointed, but listen to this. Write this down. Action activates
the anointing. You see, you got
to do something. You will never see the
anointing to pray for people until you
pray for somebody. You will never see the
anointing to minister to the sick until you go
minister to the sick. You will never see the
anointing that is released in your worship until
you open your mouth. You got to do
something, beloved, to see God's
power demonstrated. No demand, no
demonstration, but much demand,
much demonstration. Listen, I'm telling
you, when you begin to understand this is going
to transform your life, you're going to begin to
know that I am anointed for this. Somebody is going to say,
"I am anointed for this. The anointing of
God is upon my life. The same Spirit that
raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me, and it will
quicken my mortal body. The same Spirit that
raised Jesus from the dead dwells inside of me, and
it will quicken me from the inside out." Beloved, I want to talk
more with you about this. Don't go anywhere. We'll be right back on
"Life More Abundantly." [Music] And now, back to
"Life More Abundantly." KB: I'm so glad you
stayed with us today, friends, and I believe
that the power of God is going to
manifest in your life. You see, the anointing
turned Jesus from a carpenter into
a deliverer, and I believe that the
anointing on your life will transform you just
like it transformed David from a shepherd
boy into a king, transformed Gideon from a
coward into a deliverer of nations. You see, the anointing
makes all the difference. It transformed Peter from
somebody who ran away from Jesus in betrayal who
stood up in Acts chapter 2 and said,
"brethren and men, this is that which was
prophesied by the prophet Joel, that in
the last days, I will pour out my spirit
upon all flesh and upon your menservants
and maidservants, and they will
prophesy and see dreams." You see, the anointing
makes the difference. Stop waiting for somebody
else to recognize you. Stop waiting for somebody
else to acknowledge you and acknowledge
Christ on the inside. The Bible says, the
mystery that's been hidden from ages and generations,
which is Christ is you, the hope of glory. If Christ is in you,
then you are anointed. You say, "I don't
feel anointed." You are anointed. "I don't think
I'm anointed." You're anointed. "It doesn't seem
like I'm anointed." You are anointed. I want to pray
for you right now. Father, in Jesus
Name, I thank you for the yoke-destroying,
burden-removing supernatural power of God. I want to thank you, Lord,
for the fresh oil from heaven that, Lord, once
recognized and once tapped into and activated will
release supernatural power in the lives
of your people. I thank you that
chains are broken with the anointing. Doors are opened
with the anointing, and the enemy is crushed
under the power of the oil of God. Be free in Jesus Name. Beloved, I love you. I'm praying for you,
and until next time, remember Jesus is
Lord, and shalom.
