hello everybody today we are going to be eating 7 11 summer noodles [Music] so as satoshi mentioned we are trying out five different types of noodles so that our 7-eleven store here in japan we're not only doing ramen we have ramen we have soba and we also have udon noodles we have something for every one of you out there we know that some of you guys love ramen but we also know that some of you guys prefer udon or soba i'm very very looking forward to try these noodles yeah ramen udon soba ramen and skelementu yeah we both love noodles like love love noodles and we love eating cold noodles during the summer months the first one we have is udon with uh spicy cod roll and perella this is 398 yen yen that's what it's called in japanese yeah so karashimentaiko is that spicy corro uh oba is perella some people we also call it shiso some people call it she saw something called my family calls it shiso but ever since i met you i call it oba the the toppings are on the top so there's the the chopped up perilla um there's that i guess that's that's the mentaiko sauce and that's yeah mountain yeah and sliver cucumbers and then the tsuyu or the soup is on top of the udon noodles look how silky that udon noodle is i love it so we're gonna pour the soup over the noodles and this is gonna give it flavor as well as uh it's going to help separate the noodles so get the chopsticks and let's uh stop yeah cause the noodles are kind of stuck together at the moment oh okay that looks delicious look look look look at that okay and then we're gonna put the toppings on so first thing i'm gonna put on is the uh what is this the cucumber and the yamaimo or the mountain yam and then the perilla leaf right there and then gonna pour the sauce right over here on the side like that how's that does that look delicious yeah yeah and we give it a good mix oh i'm so looking forward to this guys mmm combined and become into one it's different not only separated forever not separated flavor it's one good flavor i think all i know is that this is very flavorful super refreshing the texture of the noodles is so smooth so so smooth just a little bit to keep yeah actually it's quite spicy for me really yeah i don't know why and yeah yeah mountain yeah it is nice texture oh this is a great start to our noodle feast okay so mixed up cold salty ramen with crumbs springs onions roasted pork feeder and bean sprouts i'm me too really looking forward to this too clam flavored soup called ramen the noodles and toppings are separated yes so fast pour the soup in the soup wow this is a clear soup clear soup it's soda ramen it's so different look how clear the soup is oh yes we are going to put the bean sprouts and chocolate and the char shoe wow separate like this so you guys nice nice and then we got some memma or the bamboo shoots seasoned bamboo shoots without eating watermelon yeah this this looks like it's been like uh season with a goma we've got some green onions here we also got some of this i don't know what this is right here what it's doing i don't know like it looks like onions maybe fried onions is it onions okay and a little egg actually it also comes with this what is this it's a special spice you are you are enjoying udon noodles yet i am i'm not finished with the first one let's try this interesting it's quite interesting nice egg i like the egg the salt flavor soup is good but the accent of roasted onion is really good right right so i want to point out something the roasted onion flavor the soup the salt flavor really nice but i don't taste the hamaguri i don't taste the clam do you tease the clam at all i actually don't like seriously maybe the roasted roasted onion is too strong i think so i think so but try just a soup okay if you just drink the soup you do taste a little bit of the clam it has that umami from the kalam yeah yeah yeah right but if you eat the noodles you don't taste the clam anymore did you try this chow su the chashi the roasted pork nice yuzu oh use the flavor and i do like the guacamole seaweed in the noodles gives it like a more oceany flavor i just wish there was a little bit more clam flavor though okay yeah like you forget that you're eating a clam ramen i think it's new it is noodles with soy meat and cozy mold okay so this one has a lot of them compartments in here the toppings are on the top and then you have to also take out the noodles because the soup is lying underneath first thing we're going to do is we're going to dump the noodles into the soup okay there we go look how thick that soup is yeah it's tony soup soy milk really so is this sesame the tomato we got like a whole bunch of veggies here bean sprouts lettuce onions a whole bunch of veggies here and then one last thing the main thing is the soy meat oh that looks amazing look at that looks like real meat doesn't it yeah all right let's give it a go i love the smell of sesame seeds i love it so much okay i'm gonna mix everything together that's pretty good it's super creamy very creamy sesame sauce me too but totally flavor-wise it's good and it's unexpectedly meaty yes um yeah exactly i'm gonna try just a little bit of the soy meat by itself it does taste like meat it's meat i mean the texture is like meat the texture is meat yeah well that's pretty good it has a lot of flavor in there oh i like the sauce very much yeah but like you said i wish it was a little bit spicier i felt like the first udon that we had was spicier than this one yeah yeah yeah which is kind of weird because usually spicy yeah i i guess you could add your own chili sauce to this and it would be perfect next one is in english soba it is a grated yam and soft boiled egg in bonnie in bonito brush so this one has a toro that's the main thing here is grated mountain yam it's sticky it has a lot of nutritional value gives you a lot of energy during the summer months that's what my mom has always told me and this this grated mountain yum is not only that it's seasoned with dashi and then there's a pack of wasabi and there's a tsuyuu which is the sofa sauce so here we go the soba tsuyu goes into the soba noodles yeah do you guys like soba udon salmon ramen what's your favorite okay we're going to add the nameko mushrooms these are the sticky nameko mushrooms and then the okra everything is kind of sticky slimy look how thick this is [Music] hmm the mountain yam paste is very very nice it's not paste the grated mountain yes very smooth and it really goes well with the texture of the okra crunch very fresh egg tasty isn't it accented it is it makes it very mild yeah because sofa soup can be a little bit salty but the egg actually makes it very mild and not as salty slimy slimy slimy soba very good in summer yeah i haven't had soba in a while i haven't had soba in many many months really i can't even remember really the last time i had soba when did you have soba last last month last month when you are not here you are you are filming outside i ate soda really really you made uh soba just boiled sopa at home or not instant not instant okay all right the last one we saved this one for last because this is the priciest one as well as um it has a brand name to it very very famous uh ramen shot called tomita we've been to tomita before right love you i didn't um we ate at narita naruto airport did i like it i don't remember i think you liked it you think i liked it usually if i love it i remember oh okay all right well maybe if i eat it it'll bring back the memories so this is 550 yen so it's like a little over five us dollars so it's the most expensive one so this one is a cold version and i don't think they have the cold version at the shop they're famous for dipping ramen but this is a cold version for summer and on the top as always there's the toppings here we see charshu we see the mema green onions and an egg this one looks like an ajitama and then a gigantic package of soup and there's a separate bowl here for to dip and then we also have a package of water hush misu this is to separate the noodles let's pour in the water that comes in this container and then oh look how thick the noodles are oh these are heavy heavy usually uh tomita's famous for this type of noodles so that's the charishu with a little bit of yuzu right there this is the ajitham oh that i know that's going to be delicious look at that color you can tell that and that's the memo you know how much i love the egg and then the green onions here maggie goes inside and then this is to make sure to shake the package of soup give it a shake okay then pour this over like that wow almost looks like sesame huh okay so the way you eat this is you would dip your noodles into this dipping broth and put it in your mouth that's it yeah it's quite easy please go ahead oh no no no oh already yeah i separated oh yeah i made our little individual bowls here okay okay all right oh smells good you can smell the the bonito flakes yeah yeah fish fish [Music] this is some restaurant quality kind of this is the first time i ate this it's good oh it's really good did you try it with the yuzu that yuzu like really like makes it pop as well usually no no it was on the charts here maybe i think all that yeah you didn't call it the noodles are so thick and chewy which is you know characteristic of skin and noodles anyway oh very very delicious chewy oh but smooth and comes with this soup very well all right let's try this char soup oh it's our shoe that rose pork it's probably the best tart shoot i had like from a convenience store oh did you try it did the meat yeah yeah yeah so good good flavor i think this flavor i read this ingredient to this tip they are using macaro and sardine really well whatever they're using this broth this dipping sauce is so flavorful so much umami so much complexity i really love this so much this is something you should try if you're not afraid of fish give it a try if you're here in tokyo during the summer like now try this one out this one is really good you know you don't have to wait in line because they usually have a line i don't know now though i wonder if they still have lines maybe the other what's going on but i don't know but it's very popular regularly it's a huge line or a waiting right right exactly okay remember i love members the bamboo shoots and this egg egg isn't hard still soft the egg yolk is still soft do you hear how crunchy the mamma is how's the egg oh he's secret well seasoned well seasoned creamy creamy has so much flavor ajitama is um it's cooked with seasoning so you know um the the the flavor has has like gone through the entire egg so every bite you take has so much flavor and that yolk is not completely hard it's a little bit soft and so it's creamy [Music] yes go ahead go ahead here's more dipping sauce right here i still haven't finished my little little serving here i already decided the best of today best of noodles of today really i feel like this is not fair though because tomita has you know brand the years and years of um experience making ramen the first the famous shopping yeah so i feel like um yeah although it's unfair i feel like we already know the answer to our favorite it's the one isn't it okay so let's do the second one the second phase okay i think that's more fair so our favorite one is the last one we just had if you're in tokyo right now give it a try it's amazing okay so the second favorite i've already chosen mine but i was thinking about it throughout the whole thing my second one is the ramen the salt ramek wow i didn't think you were going to choose that well you are a fan of you do like it and i love the super style cold ramen oh i like style called ramen the summer ramen style noodle is a hyatt it's a soup soup right right right this one has a more soupy the andino wine i think the reason why you like soup style cold ramen is because cold ramen is a specialty in your hometown right specialty that's amazing too bad you can't find that here i'm like everywhere here it's very hard to find in tokyo i've only had it like once or twice no i had it twice we went to the restaurant in ginza yes i wanted to still have it i don't know yeah okay so my second favorite is the first one we had the udon with the mint taco sauce i love that one i really really do i really really do and you know um which is why i saved a little bit here it's so good delicious all right guys so we have come to the end thank you so so much for watching really hope you
