12 Ice Cream Flavors | Okinawa Blue Seal Ice Cream

hello everybody welcome back to another video today we are going to be eating ice cream a lot of ice cream from okinawa so there are many things we like about okinawa food happens to be on the top of my personal list and okinawan ice cream i particularly love i don't know specifically blue seal ice cream that's a very famous and popular in okinawa they come in many different flavors some of the flavors are very rare in tokyo and we're fortunate enough that our friend dennis thank you so much for sending 12 flavors of okinawa 12 to us to try toil 12. yeah we have so much so without further ado we're gonna get started yes okay so the first flavor is obviously vanilla vanilla vanilla vanilla i love banana so do i so do i you know a lot of people think you know vanilla how boring but you know vanilla can actually be quite nice if it's quite nice so this is the vanilla ice cream and you know it looks like your typical vanilla ice cream to be honest with you i've never had a vanilla um blue seal ice cream always go for the other flavors you don't choose vanilla yeah almost never yeah so simple i know well it looks creamy and i i noticed though that on the the cover it says this is lactose this is actually ice milk is that it's not ice cream it's actually iced milk i didn't know that hmm did you know that no but i don't care yeah yeah as long as it's good right this taste is nostalgic for me nostalgic vanilla ice cream when i was a child the vanilla ice cream is always like this it it's so it's good it's good it's not the best vanilla ice cream in my opinion you know um i don't really taste like the vanilla beans yeah um but it's not like milk like more milky kind of taste but in japan the most many in many cases yeah the vanilla is milk flavor not bonita beans true that is true they don't use so much vanilla beans all right let's continue on to the next flavor it's been melting it will melt next flavor we have is banana suzanne suzanne yeah what does that mean banana susanna suzanna yeah banana susan suzanna what is this i have no idea so it's vanilla flavor but i noticed that there are streaks of brown inside so i wonder if it's chocolate like banana chocolate oh it smells like banana that's a good thing banana banana i like the banana flavor this is also nostalgic for me the banana flavor of japanese ice cream is like this it was like this sort of like um um yeah i know what you mean like it's actually very refreshing and light because it's iced milk and not ice cream it's not too heavy yeah um light like it's very light yeah i do wish the banana flavor was a little stronger though hmm it's not bad though what are the brown streaks oh what is that what is that brown streak don't know what's that some chocolate it's chocolate chocolate sauce that's what it says chocolate sauce that's right i could use a little bit more chocolate though so next one next one what should we choose we're just randomly choosing today oh this is good oh pineapple sorbet oh that sounds interesting pineapple sorbet i'm surprised inside of this this cup they're using real fruit juice and fruits fresh 21 21 pineapple really oh okay i'm really looking forward to this one then oh i love pineapples so tropical [Music] it makes me want to go on vacation [Music] oh this is delicious super refreshing this steam oh i love this it tastes like a fresh pineapple oh that's good i like that it's not that sweet either it's like the natural sweetness of the pineapple yeah it's not too sweet yeah that's right that's really sweet and it's so pineapple [Music] that's good there are so many but so many kind of pineapples so many kinds of pineapples yeah really yeah i know they have a small one smaller one and the finger tail one yeah that's the one detail for the fingers oh i didn't know they have they had so many different times all i remember is that the pineapple's being really delicious well we went to the pineapple park or something there where we went the last time yeah yeah we have 12 flavors guys so we're just to speed through this sugar cane you know in okinawa sugar cane is quite popular like the black sugar uh candy and also they have sugar cane juice as well kind of like um in other parts of asia they they drink uh fresh sugar cane juice that's right i like it i usually do so this one's a little bit brown it's a natural color over sugar oh i like this wait a minute it tastes like cocktail brown sugar guys this is peach flavor you call they're famous for it but tastes just like that it's deep it has like a deep molasses flavor kind of like kuromitsu as well too oh this is my favorite so far i know i know you love this yummy i didn't i never tried this one before alright so what's the next flavor yay yay now the reason why he's making his face is because this is one of his non-favorite ones this is the san francisco mint chocolate flavor san francisco i have no idea so why don't you like a mint chocolate chip i love mint i love chocolate but it's a combination of chocolate and meat i don't like it unforgivable for me uh he says unforgivable you know i get it though you know when i was younger i didn't like it when i was a kid i hated mint chocolate it's only when i became an adult you always said to me don't grow up i don't grow up it's a trap yes well i i don't think you understand what it means that's not what i mean [Music] mint chocolate those little bits of chocolate chocolate bits inside i got mint just the right amount of minty flavor it's not like super minty and it's so creamy oh oh this is good too what about you guys do you guys like mint chocolate chip or are you guys not a fan like satoshi let us know in the comments down that's below well you know this one is this one is uh one of my favorites i think so when we went to okinawa did you eat this yes i kept getting i kept getting a double scoop one of the scoop was always this one oh okinawa is salt cookies jinsko this is amazing guys haven't had this in a while inside there are so many so many bits of chunk of cookie that's amazing the salted okinawan cookies they're kind of like biscuits you know like like um what is that like shortbread cookies but you know a more sakuto and this is salted as well the basic ice cream is milk or vanilla ice cream vanilla ice cream but this is better than the regular vanilla ice cream definitely definitely the cookie the salted taste enhance the sweetness of the ice cream my favorite tada oh you're choosing all the good ones this is benimo this is uh purple potato by the way one of our viewers mentioned that benimo or the okinawan purple potato is not purple yeah it's different yeah so i'm going to call it purple potato from now all right so the color is subtly purple kind of like lavender color lavender that's that's a good good good way oh this is good too i gotta say the sweet potato and the salted cheese cool cookie one are two of my favorites but but then i also like the um the brown sugar one though the sugar i think that one might be my new favorite but this one definitely has that taste of sweet potato which i love and of course i love the lavender color what do you think you said nothing about it for you too for you i mean i i do wish the flavor was a little stronger but i don't mind it it's delicious okay it's your favorite now my favorite one mango mango the color looks like a real mango and a mango it even cuts like a mango yeah i'm shining shiny it's sexy so they're using real mango pizza yes i always smell my ice cream first i don't know why how is it it's really it's like real mango the aroma is real mango yeah it's not just to eat it yeah yeah it's not too sweet it's not too sweet it's very natural natural mango it's you know the aroma of mango flesh it's like that yeah yeah it is it's not bad actually yeah it's pretty good so is this one your favorite so far competing competing okay well wait until the end because the ice cream is melting we got twelve the next is salty milk salty milk is very popular so little true true they're using nuchimas oh like a sea salt sea salt okay i think i might like this because um they have um sea salt ice cream at tokyo disney sea that's right and i i actually think that's quite tasty sea salt popcorn is just salted popcorn that's that that's boring i like this shiota it's vanilla and salt and salsa salted vanilla but i really like it is a bit a small amount of salt to enhance the sweetness in japan sometimes i don't but some some people do poor soy sauce on ice cream oh nesca yes they do and actually it tastes like um caramel to be honest with you we tried it once soy sauce um it was a soy sauce sauce on soft serve in narita all right so what are we having next next one this is interesting oh ryukyu royal [Music] the uq kingdom royal milk tea well i personally love royal milk tea i wonder what makes it uq style visually i love that you can actually see the black tea you can see the little dots of this oh that's right yeah you can tell there's real tea in here [Music] that's nice i don't know but it's milk it's royal it's royal because it's very milky um yeah milk tea is like like it's not as milky as royal milk tea this is absolutely milky i love it you can taste the the tea leaves i mean that you can taste the flavor of the tea and it's not that sweet i'm still not sure what makes it uku kingdom style but it's delicious i like it next one okay so this one is the potato that they use for the halo halo in the filipino dessert ube the ube ice cream so i'm not absolutely sure what's the difference between ube and the purple sweet potato and the purple yam i don't know one day i will find out i will do some research i promise this one is really purple it's very purple compared to the other one other one was lavender this one's purple maybe even the potato itself this one's more darker in color maybe oh it tastes different oh it's different i get it now this one it's distinctive i love it i love it this one is actually better huh flavor wise yummy more rich deep flavor yes what should i say more maybe it's because this particular potato has a stronger flavor maybe the ube has a stronger flavor compared to the other red potato fruit like flavor the other one kind of has the same flavor as the regular sweet potato in japan not the purple one but the regular one whereas this one it has a totally different flavor yeah i have to say ube comes out on top actually the last one or the last one yep it's really okay wow we went through 11 already that was fast it's shikasa is a citrus fruit that is native to okinawa it's very delicious i like to drink chikwasa juice when i'm in okinawa freshwater juice so delicious this one includes 13 real shikhwasa juice this one the white color is really beautiful i think yeah shining it's different from the normal regular regular vanilla ice cream yeah i know it's like a ice you know eating these these ice creams right i i'm i really miss okinawa i miss traveling period i miss going to okinawa ah oh eyes right ah oh it's good that we randomly selected this one for the last one because it is so refreshing citrusy forever but not too tangy a little bit tangy yeah so eye opening i'm still a little bit milky which is nice oh that is delicious now okay so we went through 12 i don't even remember going through 12 to be honest with you um let's see now it's time to choose your favorite i've already decided you have i just want to make sure man you're a simple man i just want to make sure that we haven't missed anything you're right we did go through 12. [Music] the first the less favorite your least favorite my least favorite okay is mink chocolate mint chocolate is your least favorite that one right here my my least favorite one is vanilla i gotta say because i mean you know i mean i like vanilla ice cream but i have it has to be really good vanilla ice cream for me if it's vanilla what's your favorite then [Music] i have two you have two okay go ahead i'll choose two two mango and pineapple really mango and which one which one is like number one okay mango mango mango and then pineapple mango is now okinawa mango is very popular yes tastes like that i love that that's true okay it's interesting because your favorite is completely different from mine uh my favorite amazingly is shikwasa uh sherbet oh you gotta know that you gotta right it's very rare for me to choose a sorbet and my and my second favorite or close to first is the sugar cane the sugar cane ice cream i thought i was gonna choose i betrayed my uh okinawan salt cookies i totally um betrayed that sorry i still love you very much but um the sugarcane was really nice i really like it well thank you very much everybody for watching we really hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed trying all of these 12 flavors this was so much fun so much fun i just i felt like i took a mini holiday even though it was just for you know 20 minutes or so thank you dennis so much for sending these over to us and to the rest of you thanks for watching until next time everybody stay safe and until next time bye you
