scripture let the words of my heart let the words of my mouth of the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight o lord so i give him praise today i give him glory i give him honor for who he is amen i'm glad to be in the house of the lord today i like that scripture i was glad when they said unto me let us what let us go into the house of the lord amen i want you to look at somebody next to you and say you sure look good today i don't know who dressed you up if you're watching online or somebody next to you tell them how good they look today i'd be glad to be in the presence of the lord amen i tell you what we've already had guests from all over the united states we had people from michigan today oklahoma uh we've got beverly from mississippi's with me we went on a trip one time but we did we have a good time we did but uh but glad to have everyone here today in the house of the lord if this is your first time you are our honored guest we're so glad to have you join us today and back to school how many i know a lot of you probably aren't ready to get back to school but it has to be on your mind at least a little bit uh yes i know but uh but i'm so excited this year we always do a back to school outreach a backpack outreach and we just released this friday and we already have 60 children signed up for our back-to-school outreach amen we have everything taken care of we had a sponsor for the backpacks with all of our life groups pitched in and got the supplies to go in them so we're good on that but i tell you the need is going to be great and i'm just looking forward it's a way for community family church to tell our community that we're here to lend a helping hand if you need a helping hand but if you know of anyone maybe maybe your family members or maybe it's lord blessed anybody today oh his oh i'm telling you well over the weekend i sold a horse thank you jesus i know it's not every weekend you sell horses but i had to go to leechfield kentucky i sold a horse and the reason i'm saying that is because a friend of mine he comes usually comes to the nine o'clock he uh he was telling me his testimony he was helping me sell my horse a very good writer and he said eric i just want you to know something when we do that offering declaration he said eight years ago when i moved to northern kentucky and i found our church he said i was homeless i didn't have a job i didn't have any family with me here he said but i want to testify to you today that today i have a home that's almost paid off i have a beautiful wife and he said and i just got promoted at my job to a vp position [Music] i said thank you jesus so you don't you may not know the person's testimony that's next to you but god is doing great and mighty things among this land amen let's go ahead and say our offering declaration as we bring in today's tithes offerings and over and above giving we are believing the lord for a supernatural release of god's favor over every area of our lives jobs and better jobs checks in the mail inheritances secure investments scholarships creative ideas finding money healing for our spirit soul and body deliverance to the captive salvation to the lost and an outpouring of the holy ghost let's say this with great fervor today that we are blessed and we will be a blessing to others in the name of our lord jesus christ if you believe that give have paid over 500 000 down against the principal loan on this building we appreciate and thank all of you that have helped and you that haven't helped i can't believe what's going to happen when you begin to help us pay this building off we're believing god that by the end of this year by the end of december this year that this building is going to be paid off for the glory of god and we can for but sister sherry was on several medications was on a walker had permanent damage irreparable but was it how many weeks ago now three this is the third week on a sunday morning no walker no medication [Applause] praise the lord [Music] she said now i'm baptist by my i'm baptist by my origin and we're not used to walking around but she said i will tell you this my first opportunity she said my i'm telling you right now my first opportunity i'm going to walk around that church and i'm going to give god praise with the victory march so we praise god i uh i don't usually do this but i'm sitting over there and i'm shaking so bad i just i tried to tell god i didn't want to do it that don't work anyway several weeks ago the lord woke me up in my bed and he wanted me to pray and i didn't know how to pray it was one of those times you don't know what to say and what what to pray and so i asked the holy spirit show me what to say and he showed me and he gave me the words and i did that and then when i got through i laid down and i began to cry i've never cried after i prayed but i began to cry and you know what the lord said to me he said well done so good and faithful servant and i think that there's some here that need to hear that well done though good and faithful servant you've questioned whether you have and god said well done thank good and faithful servant i thought he would say that when i got to heaven gloria apparently he says it now to each one of us praise the lord i said praise the lord praise the lord thank you thank you lord hallelujah [Music] there are some things [Music] that i may not know [Music] there are some places i just don't go there's one thing i know my god is [Music] he has is and he made his love for me [Music] decide to leave especially mediocrity out my god my god is real for i can feel him in my soul i don't care what language it's in we know he's real let's turn the book of book of john chapter 12 verses 9 and 10 john chapter 12 verses 9 and 10. now much people of the jews therefore knew that jesus was there in the house and they came not for jesus's sake only but they might see lazarus also who jesus had raised from the dead but the chief priests consulted that they might put lazarus also to death because that by reason of him many of the jews went away and believed on jesus just for a few moments this morning we're dealing with the subject they came to see lazarus they came to see lazarus let's pray father we come to you in the name of jesus we thank you god for this opportunity to be gathered in the house of the lord we thank you lord for because you have given us the privilege to live in the united states of america where we are granted such a freedom as this to come and worship our god in spirit and in truth let your word go forth let me preach it today with love with mercy and truth and most of all as your bible teaches me to be a preacher of the gospel preaching with demonstration and power of the holy ghost we'll give you all the praise and the glory in jesus name let the church say amen you may be seated you know i forgot to do something i got so carried away and then vicki made it even more difficult for me to remember because both of us got carried away and i was looking up there see if brenda was going to jump in and she didn't quite have the same unction at that present time but we'll get her later but we want to welcome our new partners all the way from king kingman arizona we got janice and michael and then we've got anna that we don't have an address with and we've got vicki and ray from wilson north carolina we got barbara all the way from bakersfield california thank you barbara we've got carl and charlotte from ponca city oklahoma and we've got linda uh linda from columbus ohio and i don't have an address for karen and we've got another karen from saint charles missouri let's give all of our all of our partners and i want to thank you partners because the partners are the ones that pay for the television broadcast and they pay for all of the internet yesterday when we had a small group we walked them around the back the small group was exploring the church property and of course it was pouring down rain so there wasn't a lot of exploring we did outside but we began to talk about the history of the church and where we came from and all the little details and we drove them in the in the church van down to the old church and showed them the basement and everything and then we at the very end of our tour that we had in this small group we went back and i showed them the area where this church literally goes around the world on the internet right now there's maybe 35 000 or more will be 40 before the day is over but right now presently there's several thousand 25 to thirty thousand with us in service at four o'clock this afternoon on day star network there will be the potential well one million people will be watching in the united states over 100 000 regularly watch this program so we are so thankful for that privilege that god has blessed us with so we appreciate you partners it's 25 a month to be a partner and i tell everybody that's about like one large supreme uh pizza with a couple mountain dews and some bread sticks if you could give that up once a month and help us carry the gospel we appreciate it do you realize if i was to get a thousand right now we have close to right right at 1 500 partners we used to have over 1800 but if we get another thousand partners we'll be able to build and pay things off like unbelievable so let's pray that maybe by the end of this year wouldn't that be wonderful it wonderful because we got 25 30 000 if the lord just gave us 10 percent of them that'd be 2500 partners wouldn't that be wonderful your response is amen wouldn't that be wonderful wouldn't that be glorious amen just to let you know you know partners out there listening to your response they want to at least know that you're happy that they're going to be partners well i tell you we are happy and we're so thankful yes we are praise god our message today is they came to see lazarus our text is found in john chapter 12 verses 9 through 11. jesus christ came god manifest in the flesh born of a virgin justified in the spirit scene of angels he was born in bethlehem raised in a little poor village called nazareth matter of fact they called it the place of no good because nothing good came out of nazareth the poorest village in israel jesus chose to live until he was 30 years old at 30 years of age jesus being the age of the priest in the prophetic ministry he went to the river of jordan where john the baptist a mighty prophet of god was calling the nation of israel to repentance and to return unto the lord god jehovah those who were making a commitment of dedication and consecration they were going down to the river of jordan thousands hundreds of thousands were going to the river of jordan to make a public annunciation of their faith in god through water baptism recognizing that john the baptist was functioning in the prophetic events that would shift history into the entrance of messiah jesus went down to the river of jordan to be baptized by john the bible said in obedience to the scripture and when he went down into the water and he came up the holy ghost descended upon him as a dove liken unto a dove and a voice spoke from heaven and said this is my beloved son in whom i'm well pleased he was led by the spirit into the wilderness to face satan that diabolical wicked evil one and after 40 days of testing and trial and fasting in the wilderness he came out of that place of trial in the power of the spirit and from that moment on god confirmed him to be the christ the messiah god manifest in the flesh with signs and with wonders so that the world would believe on him that sent him the blinded eyes were opened the deaf ears were unstopped the lame legs begin to walk many wondrous and glorious miracles transpired but somewhere early in his ministry in his ministry was only three and a half years there was a rich man that had a problem he lived in bethany his name was simon the leper he was inflicted with this horrible disease called leprosy and early in the ministry of jesus he is one of the ones that found this great wonderful healing virtue coming from the son of god this wealthy family were so grateful of the healing of simon simon had three children that are mentioned in the scripture martha was the oldest then mary then lazarus was the baby brother lazarus was probably somewhere around 22 24 years old you know just when a man little young man can spark a little bit they love it they've got them a job now got them some good wheels to ride on got them some good ambitions in life they're full of personality and the bible said that jesus loved lazarus it was it was one of the young men that everybody knew that jesus was attracted to and you get to john chapter 11 and the bible said there was a certain man that was sick his name was lazarus his name was lazarus of bethany the town of mary and her sister martha mary and martha being very rich women in this big now you've got to remember these wealthy jewish people had courtyards a courtyard would be the center of your house your house would be built around it in the middle east and this area where you're sitting could very well be a courtyard it would be a place where guests came and where people were invited they sent one of the servants of their house to find jesus according to john chapter 10 and verse 40 jesus was over a day's journey away he was down on the other side of jordan where john first was beginning his water baptism and his ministry they sent the servant from their home to jesus it took him a day's journey to get there jesus read the message lord behold our brother lazarus the one that you love is sick that's what the message said now the bible said that when jesus read it he said this sickness is not unto death but for the glory of god that the son of god may be glorified that god may give witness and testimony that jesus indeed is god manifest in the flesh the christ the son of the living god you see jesus then delayed he didn't go anywhere he stayed right there at the river in jordan he read the note the servant went back home but jesus didn't go anywhere this is put in the scripture because sometimes your prayer request is delayed but not denied sometimes there's a pause but as we look at this scripture this is not spiritual warfare like daniel went through the bible said that daniel was had a prayer request and he prayed and and god said i heard you on the first day but there was warfare for 21 days and i had to send michael the archangel to to intercede and to stop this warfare in order to get the answer to you sometimes when you pray over a prayer request and you you summons the name of the lord jesus christ and you have a need there is spiritual warfare sometimes there's the powers of darkness that are hindering but this one in particular is not because god wants you to also be aware that sometimes the designer and actions of the sovereign eternal god god's got something in store for your life that's so far greater than you can even imagine and it looks like the delay is he's not paying any attention and he doesn't really care about your need but the delay is not a denial jesus then after two days he said let's go to judea and they begin to look at and say this is strange you're doing very unusual things we don't understand you that's why the bible said in the book of isaiah his thoughts are higher than i thought his ways are higher than our ways the moment that you think that your ways are better than god your ways are higher than god that you can work this out better than god can you've already stepped into a catastrophe because god sees things past present and future he sees them from a perspective that we could never see and jesus told him he said let me explain something to you there are 12 hours of daylight and when you walk in the daylight you're not going to stumble but if you try to go to the same place your same destiny in the night you're going to stumble you're going to fall over things and he said so now you have received the light of the knowledge of god and besides that he says another very unusual thing to the natural mind he said lazarus is sound asleep he's sleeping and the disciples said well if he's if he's sleeping why are you going to go wake him up they couldn't understand him sometimes the word in in times of despair and in times of training the words is seemingly sometimes confusing to us but you gotta hold on and understand that god is the ultimate he is in control he is the one that's orchestrating for your good if you love god he works all things out for your good so here we are he then jesus said and plainly he said lazarus is dead and i'm glad that i was not there so you could witness these events to the intent that you may believe he said i'm trying to put something in writing in eternal scripture so almost 2 000 years later in the hills of kentucky by means of camera reaching around the world that you could read in the scripture that he may not come when you want him but he'll always be right on time hallelujah he said i want you to believe i don't want you to be a doubter i want you to believe i can do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think i want you to believe that all power rests in my hands i want you to believe i can take care of your family i can take care of your home i can take care of every situation i'm going to inscribe this in eternal scripture i want you to read it so that you can strengthen your faith in the time of a storm and in a time of trouble and in a time of difficulty when the adversary is breathing down your neck that you can take the sharp two-edged sword up and what lacerate the enemy and walk through in victory in the name of the lord jesus christ he said i i'm glad that i was not there that you may witness these events and to the intent that you may believe now they had to go another day's journey it took a day's journey for the servant to tell jesus jesus delayed for two days now he's ready to go it's going to take another day's journey but lazarus was so sick by the time they sent the note to jesus he died that morning and the jews always buried the same day of the death because they did not embalm and now lazarus has been they've had the funeral service they've already take carried him to the cemetery they've already put him in the tomb they put him in the cave and they have closed up they have sealed it up with a huge stone he's now he's been dead for a long time the bible said for four days but now jesus he enters into the city of bethany and whenever you go to those middle eastern towns they sometimes have a huge gate like this opening behind me sometimes it's a big stone archway sometimes it's just two pillars on each side but either way you know you've come into the city so jesus comes into the city the noise is as is given out jesus is on his way here he's coming through the gate martha immediately she leaves the family she goes running to meet jesus out at the gate of the city and the first thing martha does is she says lord oh if you only would have been here our baby brother the one that you love and the one that we love the one that brought so much joy to our home the one that everybody was interested in the one you know you've seen those young men that when they walk in a room when they're that age how they just spark up a whole room you can it could be in the middle of christmas and everybody's yawning and everybody's ate until they can't eat it anymore and then here comes one of the grandkids about 23 years old he looks like he's ready to control the entire world and it just brings life to everybody oh if you only would have been here our brother lazarus would not have died and you see she had faith for yesterday and that's what happens to us a lot of time we say well if i only would have not been raised in this family if i only would have not had these parents if i only would have been raised under different conditions if i would have taken this treatment if i had not have married this person if i had not have lived here all of these things you got faith for your yesterday but jesus looked at her and he said wait a minute mary i i am the god of yesterday but i'm also the god of of today your brother shall live he shall live well immediately her yesterday faith went to future faith she said oh that's right lord i know that i know one day the trumpet's gonna sound i know the resurrection's gonna take place i know my brother's gonna rise out of that tomb and we're all gonna be together what a wonderful time we're gonna have up in glory oh when the gates open wide what a wonderful day it's going to be many times we can have faith for the future we can be we can believe that one day we're going to have a good time in the sweet bye and bye but jesus said martha i got to tell you something honey i'm not only the god of yesterday and i'm not only the god of tomorrow but i am the i am for this moment right now i want you to believe what i can do right now and then jesus said show me where you laid him show me where the cemetery is now as they're walking on their way to the cemetery here comes mary and mary falls down at the feet of jesus they're just now entering into the cemetery and mary falls at jesus's feet and she said lord if you would have only been here and the bible said he began to groan and moan on the inside he was holding his emotions in and then openly the bible said jesus wept he began to weep up and this this scripture here where jesus wept in the greek it meant that the tears began to gush and there was such emotion of passion until the jews that were all gathered around as they looked at jesus they said oh how he loved lazarus oh how he loved lazarus and there they came and they're standing in front of this cave this tomb that had been hewn out and the stone is in front of the tomb and jesus while he's standing there everyone's weeping and crying it looks like the entire thing is over with and sealed but then jesus says roll away the stone martha grabs him by the arm of jesus you know he's been in there four days and by now he stinks let me tell you when your family says you're in such bad shape that you think you're in bad shape i said you're in bad shape but jesus said roll away the stone just go ahead and do what i say in obedience to the word of the savior of the lord they rolled that stone away and at the mouth of that cave at the opening of that hewn tomb jesus looked in there and said lazarus oh lazarus come forth up here he came he was bound and linen up he came hobbling up those steps had the linen around his head oh the eyes were opening up and jesus said loose him and let him go loose him and let him go they cut off those linen cloths of lazarus oh lord and lazarus went back to being a young buck one more time i guess he put a little gel on his hair i put a little calvin klein on up and cleaned up and groomed up a little bit and went out to show the people around look what the lord has done look what the lord has done [Music] hallelujah well the bible said that mary and martha decide they wanted to have a big celebration dinner they're going to invite everybody they're going to invite all of the people that lived in the neighborhood so they had a large supper and it's filled with the jewish people like this courtyard where you are everybody's come there there's tables set everywhere like a big old days dinner and there's jesus and there's lazarus everybody's looking at everybody can see and the bible said that this one by the name of simon who was a leper that jesus had healed he is the father of these three children mary gets so intense in gratitude on what the lord has done she went back to her big beautiful bedroom opened up the secret chambers of her closet and took out some ointment that was worth one year's wage somewhere between 45 and 50 000 and she came in with this ointment and oh yes i can't hold back any longer you healed my father of leprosy and my handsome baby brother you raised from the dead she fell on her knees and took that ointment she put some on his head she put some on his shoulders she put some on his feet and began to weep and began to cry and began to give glory to god almighty you know not everybody gets happy whenever you give god gratitude and give god thanks why there was deacon there was not a deacon but the treasure oh judas himself set over in the corner and he got to pounding up because sister mary was having such a hallelujah shout out she was having such an expression of praise unto the most high god that the bible said judah stood up and said what in the world is she doing this is 50 000 worth of ointment why didn't she donate it to the charity and let us feed the poor and jesus looked at that religious he looked at that carnal mind and said the poor you're gonna have with you always you can do that anytime you want but my stay is limited and she has anointed me for my burial she's done a great thing but what i want to tell you tonight is this or this morning what i want to tell you is this that this is the house of celebration this is the place where all those crosses out in the front they indicate that we believe that jesus is the christ the son of the living god we believe in his death his burial and his resurrection everybody knows that your car pulled into this parking lot that you are a believer that jesus is the christ the son of the living god but the bible stand up that some people came because jesus was there but there was a large bunch of people they came because lazarus was there and i want you to know today you know who's going to come to this church people are going to see what god has done for you there's not one lazarus here today we've got a houseful that one time you were inflicted with the sickness of sin one time that sickness of sin carried you into the death bed of sorrow oh you were buried in your sins but the resurrection and the life he came to you he resurrected you people's gonna come from the outside in here because there's people sitting in here that have a new way of walking they got a new way of talking they got a new way of living they got a new way of singing up they got a new way of a whole way of life oh you don't even realize how powerful your testimony is or do you hear what i'm saying but when the world sees what god has done for you they're going to come to the house of celebration is it really true [Applause] jeremy i didn't know you as a sinner and i i didn't know you was a sinner but i can imagine that you like my mother's family before they got saved i believe you could tear a bar room upside down i believe you could throw the chairs down and you could tear up jack if you ever got a hold of a liquor bottle but one thing for sure i didn't know what you were like when you lived in the tomb i didn't know who the people were that you hung out when you lived in the cemetery all i know is there's going to be people out there they're not going to come because tommy bates is here they're not even going to come because there's a cross in the front of this church but they're going to come because somebody somebody somewhere is going to say have you heard what happened to jeremy have you heard what happened to sherry she had damaged vertebrae she was on a walker she was on antidepressants she was on muscle relaxers she was on pain medication but something happened hallelujah three weeks ago that she's given a victory march somebody's gonna say it happened in the house of of celebration lazarus is here i said lazarus is here you've been is there anybody that has been brought up out of the tomb of sin and you're walking on a straight path this morning that god has written your name down in the lamb's book of life oh they came to see lazarus up there's a revival coming i've heard the holy spirit say i'm gonna call but you know why they're gonna come they're going to find a place where lazarus is they're going to find a place where transformation takes place they're going to find a place where you can get beauty for ashes they're oh come on give him praise [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hallelujah they're going to find a place where susan is going to go back and be steve like that's the way steve was born did you hear that one oh no did you hear that one they're going to find a place where you can be transformed spirit soul and body they're going to find a place where eight years ago like eric said i i was homeless i had nothing up i had nothing at all but i found a place and they're gonna come to see if it's really real is it really real that god healed you is it really real that god saved you is it really real that god picked you up is it really real you're not addicted anymore is it really real that you've been set free let's give god a clap and a shout of praise [Applause] [Music] i said hallelujah glory to god you know dad dad's 87 years old he'll be 88 in january and dad he liked to play sports when he was young like i'm here in the family life center it is wednesday night and this place is booming i mean they're coming in every door this building has been such a blessing i want to give you some exciting news you won't even believe it this news is so exciting we are able to already we have paid over 500 000 down against the principal loan on this building we appreciate and thank all of you that have helped and so he went to the church of christ he wanted to be on that ball team and i said well you gotta be a member of the church he said what do i do gotta go up and confess jesus and get water baptized so he went up confessed jesus went in the water baptismal pool a dry center and came out a wet center he went to another church did the same thing he switched churches no switch teams the next year one play on another team and they told him the same thing so he went in the baptismal pool at dry center and came up a wet center he did that three different times and then when he married mom the revival came passing by the door mom got prayed through and got back to god and now he was he was having a struggle because janice has got something he don't have hallelujah and when this church was in a barn and they cleaned out the manure and put sawdust down mom is up on the platform playing the guitar singing about the goodness and the mercy of god dad is back in the back brother whitehead from harlan counties preaching and dad i i he went to to go out the door to kick that door the spirit of god hit him he fell to his knees he crawled he rolled and assaulted us till he made his way all the way up and one hour later he's lifting his hands saying i've got it i've got it i've got it i've got it i've got it i've got it i've got it well i'm here to tell you i want you to know what happens when lazarus comes out of the tomb because of what happened to dad he got to see his mother down in the old church walk down an aisle and get restored and get renewed he got to see his father come back to the lord he got to see his his brother winford who kept liquor in the back of his trunk who was an alcoholic he got to see his brother winford who was sitting in front of a television watching rex humbard and rex humbard said you don't have to live like this all you have to do is say this prayer and when he sort of laughed yeah yeah i'll share a prayer how's the prayer going to take care of me he said that prayer i confess jesus christ as my lord and savior forgive me of my sins the holy ghost came in his living room the alcohol went out he became a deacon in this church he became a bus driver for the ministry he became a board member at the pentecostal children's home the appalachian children's home in barbaraville kentucky dad's so oldest brother nilen they drank shandling beer and if you know anything about cincinnati shaneland beer was everywhere i'd go to an island's house and there'd be shailing bottles sitting everywhere but his brother nylon also found the lord jesus christ his baby brother gene found the lord jesus christ his other brother ernie found the lord jesus christ hallelujah his father found the lord jesus christ all i'm telling you is this it's a privilege for my car to pull up in this parking lot it's a privilege for me to be here because somebody's going to see what the lord has done in you and if you're hooting at the hoop nanny and shin digging at the shindig they're never going to find what you've got they're never going to want to have what you've got but if you come to the celebration of jesus where the alabaster box is open where the praises go forth and the lifting up of god's glory is there you one day or look back you'll look back up and every one of dad's family is in heaven but him it's because one day he made a decision to come to the house of celebration and to worship the king of kings and lord of lords [Applause] they came to see lazarus they came to see lazarus and it is no secret [Applause] [Music] what god can do you look around what he's done [Music] what he's done for sherry what he's done for my dad what he's done [Music] i pray today let's all stand together i pray today you get a revelation like you've never had before the bible said they came not only because jesus was there but they came to see lazarus there's people that are here this morning they're not here because of me they're not here because of they're really not in here because of jesus but somebody here got touched by jesus got healed by jesus we want our prayer warriors and altar workers ministers of the gospels elders all will come we're gonna sing it one more time [Music] here we go [Music] coming is [Music] you this morning if you need salvation if you need healing if you need deliverance if you need recovery if you need to come back to the lord if you strayed from god this altar is open right now sing it
