we're about to go through six bubble apps that have absolutely changed the lives of their Founders now each of these Founders had different goals for their apps one in fact that is probably the most surprising ending that I've ever seen so stick around for that but my goal with this video is to show you exactly what's possible on bubble and hopefully even give you some inspiration for your own app let's start with an app and company called cure so cure was built on bubble and it is essentially a personalized supplement app and subscription service so you'll use the app to get a diagnosis for what types of supplements vitamins you should be taking to reach your own health and wellness goals and then you'll get their recommendation based on the information you've chosen throughout the diagnosis process and then you can receive those supplements and vitamins in the mail to start taking them every day and then you can track your progress as you take them on your health and and wellness Journey so if we click over to siliconcanals.com you can see that this investment firm here has actually made a 10 million euro investment into cures so this is pretty significant the company has grown a lot to date so actually if we click over to bubble's own showcase page on cure it talks about the story of these co-founders who you know they pursued this idea and they didn't want to hire a technical co-founder they wanted to do it themselves which is why they stayed on bubble and really took advantage of the capabilities of no code so they pretty quickly grew to having a revenue of over a hundred thousand Euros per month and they raised their their first seed round back in July of 2020 and of course as we've already looked at they've grown significantly from there you know I often hear or read about people asking where the successful bubble apps are like where are the examples that they can go and look at to prove that an app that you build on Bubble can be successful and the thing to understand and you can see this here is that you know these apps that are successful these companies that are successful they're not talking about Bubble you know they're not boasting about bubble on their landing pages or in any of their marketing or anything like that you know why would they they're companies that are focused on their own growth and their own customers and their own impact right and so this is such a great example of a company that grew really quickly early on Six Figure months raised a really significant round of funding with that 10 million euros and is continuing to grow today next up let's look at bubble built app better legal which essentially helps new business owners set up their businesses a lot more quickly and a lot more easily than they otherwise would be able to so if you've ever started your own business and I mean actually going through the process of registering it and filing all the paperwork it's a very tedious process that involves just a lot of figuring things out and so better legal does that for you they prepare and file all the necessary documents your legal documents and all of that and so they just take it all off your plate which is really cool now if we click over to Chad who is the co-founder if we click over to his Twitter or X profile you can see he put up a post in August of 2023 talking about how he started better legal with under eight thousand dollars and in his upcoming October they are projected to hit 1 million in annual recurring Revenue which is really cool and really significant now clicking over to bubble's own showcase page about better legal you can see that in 2022 they generated 2.7 million dollars in revenue and the coolest part about this is that Chatham is co-founder actually started better legal by Outsourcing the development to traditional programmers so better legal was built using custom code Over a four-year period but that was really cumbersome really expensive really time consuming and so they switched to bubble and what took them four years to build out using custom code took them less than a year to replicate in bubble and they even added in their own internal systems using bubble on top of that so now they have a business that is not only doing really well Revenue wise but they are streamlined internally too which is just setting them up for even more scale one of the things I really love about this story is that you know you see a lot of people being fearful of using no code tools and platforms to build their apps you know they ask questions like can bubble apps actually scale and I love that this company actually came from having an app built with custom code and they switched over to Bubble because they were having so much trouble scaling with an app built on custom code and I think it's easy to overlook the fact that when you're Outsourcing to developers who are building managing maintaining maintaining an app using custom code that in and of itself is a really difficult business to grow and scale it takes a lot of money and when you switch over to Bubble you can cut your costs so significantly and build a product an application that is scalable in and of itself so not only can you build a reliable product but you can build a more scalable business as a whole okay let's jump over to a company called good course now good course is an app that provides harassment and inclusion training for companies so it essentially provides Tick-Tock style content for companies to go through training so it helps them build safer and biased free cultures but in a way where employees and people going through this training are actually going to listen and engage with it so if we click over to Bubbles showcase page for good course you can see that they are are backed by a y combinator they've raised a million in VC funding and essentially they have created a really awesome base for their company to continue scaling on top of now one of the things that I really love about good course and what they're doing is that the co-founders here they chose to use bubble because they wanted control over their entire Tech stack now a lot of companies even ones that use no code they are built on you know one platform for one part of their business or their app another platform for another and there's you know another platform here and here and here and here and just like all over the place now what happens when something goes wrong with one of those platforms or maybe you don't want to use one of those platforms anymore you want to move to something else and what happens when you make the decision to do that when you're already supporting a really large and healthy user base a transition like that isn't easy and it can even be a little bit risky so good course wanted to take control over scenarios like that they wanted to use bubble because of its end-to-end capabilities they didn't want to be scattered all over the place with all these different software tools and apps in their Tech stack they wanted bubble so they could use that and be dependent on on that alone because it's reliable now another really cool thing that good course themselves has actually said is that you know bubble lets them future proof against the constant evolution of the learning technology Market now what this essentially means is that with bubble because they have their entire Tech stack in their own hands they can iterate really quickly so when you know other companies are seeing changes in Evolutions in their Market in their industry and they are spending months and months Outsourcing evolutions of their own product to their development teams a company like good course can iterate really quickly in the moment they can make changes so quickly and that's such a big benefit to have for your company you don't have to schedule months and months of time for Transitions and Evolutions you can just make the changes you need right when you need them okay let's flip the script a little bit we've talked about a few companies and apps that are looking for the Venture backing they're looking for the big growth the big scale they're looking to become those unicorn companies but not everybody wants that and in fact I'd argue that the majority of people who are coming to Bubble to no code tools to build and launch their apps they're looking for something that's on a smaller scale realistically they just want to launch something that can give them the lifestyle flexibility and control that they're after they they want options in life they want flexibility they want stability they want more freedom than they currently have right that's what a lot of us are after and you might feel the same way and so I want to flip the script and look at a few apps and Founders that have those lifestyle control and flexibility goals as well so we're going to talk about a few Founders that we've actually had the privilege of working with and these are founders that we worked with to go from idea to Pilot watch with their apps so we'll look at their apps and talk about kind of what they were looking for and where they were going and where they're at now let's look at an app called wash dry fold POS which is a laundromat point of sale system built by founder Brian Henderson now Brian's kind of founder starting story is really a cool one so previously he sold point of sale systems for laundromats and he had a lot of experience in the space his family owned and operated in laundromats and so to say he knew the space would be kind of an understatement right he was an expert in this space and he was frustrated because the existing software solutions for laundromats to operate with just weren't as good as they should be so laundromats were really struggling to operate as efficiently as they could be simply because they didn't have the right Solutions available to them and so Brian decided to take that into his own hands and say well you know I know what needs to be in place so I'm gonna figure out how to build the right solution myself and what's really cool is that if you look over at the map showing where they have their software in different laundromat locations you can see that they are all over the country so super super successful you won't see Brian applying for the next y combinator you're not going to see him looking for millions and millions in in Venture backing not that there's anything wrong with that but what I see most people doing is looking to build apps that allow them to step away from the job or the income that doesn't give them the control to they really want over their lives they step away from that by launching an app so that they can create the control for themselves that's what Brian did he built the thing that would allow him to write his own story right that would allow him to support his family in the way that he wanted and that's what he's doing now he's running his own business in a really scalable way the next app I want to show you was built by one of our past clients Kirsten who went through our built to scale program she built an app called reps tracker which helps Real Estate Investors take advantage of the tax benefits that a lot of them end up missing out on now one of my favorite stories about Kirsten is about a year into her journey she sent us a little update about how her app was doing and she let us know that she was having a new user sign up about every 30 minutes now that's not a mountains and mountains of users right but if you look at her pricing of about 30 bucks a month 280 bucks a year that's pretty significant you know if you think about a user signing up every 30 minutes and creating even thirty dollars of recurring Revenue every single month that adds up to what is freedom for a lot of people now Kirsten came to us as a physician she was homeschooling her kids she was very busy she was also a real estate investor so she had a lot of knowledge about the space and she wanted to create uh and she wanted to diversify her income streams essentially so she wanted to create this business that she knew would be helpful because number one it would be helpful for herself but it would also be helpful for a lot of the Real Estate Investors that she knew and she wanted to essentially just diversify those income streams create stability for her family give herself and her family options for their future and so now here she is with this app-based business that doesn't take up a ton of her time it's scalable because that's what app-based businesses are it was doing really well right out of the gates and it's continued to grow from there and this is the kind of thing that a lot of Founders are after you know we talked about Brian and he was looking for that business that he could run that could replace what he was doing and give him options and flexibility with life and now we look at Kirsten who wasn't necessary really looking to replace her career as a physician she just wanted to diversify that income in in a significant way and that's exactly what she did now the last app and founder that I want to talk to you about I'm going to tell you a little story about it now this story is going to be shrouded in some mystery and it's going to be a little bit vague because the founder was involved in some not only life-changing but generation changing deals with his app so we're gonna anonymize it a little bit but we're gonna call this founder Bob now Bob came to us at the tail end of his career he was just about ready to retire but he didn't want to build an app and then run the app as a business in retirement he wanted to build an app using all of his industry expertise up to that point and he wanted to sell it so that he could retire with a bang if you will now once Bob built his app the the way he kind of finished up our program was by entering into a deal with one of the largest companies in his industry a Fortune 100 company and the kind of his um his end update you know after his time with us was when he was in the office with some of the head honchos who were looking to acquire a very specific type of software and Bob was up against four other competitors who were also pitching their apps now the update we got that was really cool was that Bob was the favorite out of the group because Bob was the only one with a working product the other competitors in that room they had prototypes they had ways to convey their ideas but Bob actually had it built out because he had used bubble to build it himself in a compressed time frame so he could actually put it into the hands of those head honchos that were making the decisions so he had a really big leg up on the competition so okay let's fast forward now Bob went into that deal which actually took quite a while so over the next year or so he would kind of drop us an update here and there to let us know how the deal was progressing because like I said this was a very significant deal so not a decision that was going to be made quickly but there were two updates the last two updates we got from Bob actually that I want to highlight here because they're just some of my favorite updates that I've ever gotten from a past client so the second to last update was when Bob let us know that there were no other competitors no other apps that this company was considering at that point they were now down to the decision of whether or not they would move forward with the purchase of Bob's app okay so that was it the last update that we got from Bob was that they were preparing to sign the contracts so great um the deal is basically done but we didn't hear from Bob after that a few weeks had gone by and I was wondering you know what's Bob doing now how are things after the acquisition so I sent Bob an email to an email address that was attached to that company that he had created and was selling and a really cool thing happened the email address no longer existed now in my mind that meant that the the deal was done and the the acquisition had happened Bob's presence in the business no longer existed and Bob was very likely spending his days sitting on his yacht drinking bourbon in the sun wearing his boat shoes and just really living his best life and the really cool thing about this actually all of that's really cool but one of the really cool things about this and one of the takeaways that I want for you to understand is that you know people come to a platform like bubble people build and launch apps for so many different reasons they have so many different end goals maybe they do want to become the Unicorn maybe they do want to apply to accelerators right maybe they want to create the additional income stream maybe they want to replace their jobs maybe they want to sell and in Bob's case and maybe even in yours you know you don't have to build an app and then continue to operate it forever that doesn't have to be your next step with your career or with your life you can simply build an app to sell it if you want and I highly doubt that that Fortune 100 company that acquired Bob's app stayed on bubble and continued building the app on Bubble no they purchased his IP and probably then you know took their however many in-house developers that they have probably very very many and rebuilt the whole thing and that's fine right an app doesn't have to stay on bubble but because Bob built that app on Bubble initially that was the game changer for him that was what set him apart from the competitors that's what allowed him to take the next steps into that deal and that is what allowed him to buy the yacht and drink the bourbon every day at least that's what I'm saying and that could be the case for you too so from here the the path you take is completely up to you you have options you have control you have power in your hands as a no code app founder now if you want to take the next steps to becoming a successful no code app entrepreneur regardless of the path that you want to take head to coaching
