[Music] [Music] hello everybody and welcome back my name is Sam Williams low and this is my youtube channel v Belton Sun and the whole idea behind my channel when I started it is everything that I bought I had a question on whether its truck related intake anything I was gonna add to the truck or a tractor if it was worth it for the next guy to buy I wanted to answer some questions that I had and I'm sure a million other people have questions just the same so I'm trying to fill those voids in the YouTube world for those questions and what I want to do today is everybody loves a59 true Cummins and a pickup that's what they've always been five nine and they switched it up and went to a six seven and not a lot of people like the six seven but for those people that don't like the six seven I just ask them have you driven a deleted six seven and if they say no I just tell them well you probably should go test one before you make your opinion but today I want to see head to head which one will actually do better behind the 5500 I have 20,000 pounds I have my gooseneck with about 12,000 pound excavator on it and what we're gonna do it's head-to-head battle so to speak is right outside the drive here it goes up a nice decent Hill stop sign halfway up the hill and continue the rest of the hill and I'm gonna record two times first one going to the stop sign and then stop sign up to the top of the hill and we're gonna see which one does it better and I would say both the trucks are pretty evenly stacked smarty tuner on this with an SMB cold air intake mbrp exhaust and fast 150 and a couple other mild goodies on there this one minimax SMB mbrp past 150 if you didn't notice I pretty much kept with the same standard for roll trucks because it worked out so great on the first one the second one was just no question I was going to do the same but I have them both detuned to about a 30 horsepower tuned for a mild conservative mild conservative tow for up this hill and before we go too far along I really appreciate any of the subscribers in the comments that I've gotten so far I love all you guys you're showing me good support and I didn't think with the subscribers I have now that you guys would be so awesome but you treat me very well and I appreciate you very much what I want to do to get the channel rolling a little bit faster it's going great right now but I'd like a little bit more speed cause I want to do a giveaway everybody does a giveaway so what I want to do is we have an embroidery business on the side and everybody likes company jacket at least I do winners coming up close so I have a bunch of these jackets that is our little company jacket right there it is a burn jacket which is a very competitive to a Carhartt we get a great deal on those for that business so what I want to do is I got a I think I got larges and mediums I want to give you one of these nice awesome jacket so all you got to do is when I hit a thousand subs you got to be a subscriber and you have to comment on this video when I hit the thousand I'm gonna randomly pick one winner maybe to see how I'm feeling and I would love to give away one of these jackets and show a little love back to you guys because I love all the comments and support so far I feel like it's time I gave a little something back but so we're gonna go ahead and hook up to 5/9 I already did the 6-7 test and we're gonna see once and for all what they'll do and I know you're gonna say well maybe if I favor one I'm gonna go a little less on the throttle vice-versa that's not it I really want to see which one's gonna do better and I tried to stack them up with a pretty even tune so I'm gonna give them the beans going up this hill I'm not gonna try and destroy the trucks but I'm gonna give them hell going up the hill so I'll sit back and we'll get this truck and trailer swapped over and we'll see how it does [Music] [Music] all right boys and girls see how the 5/9 plays got one car coming hope they don't hit us all right we'll get this Larry rolling wasn't too long after I got that gooseneck and towed it this drunk a couple of times I bought that 5500 so I'll saying that I don't like this truck but but I'm pretty good left the house we're gonna run the corner of the stop sign here I had already warmed this truck up so she's ready to burn they can't quite get forced here out of it but we pulled 30 mile-an-hour we're gonna ease off for the stop sign all right I did a pretty good stop last time this is a real one right here where you guys see the hill giving her all she's got a little momentum maybe we'll pull fourth gear I think I got 2,000 rpm 33 mile an hour my boost is running about 27 28 eg tees are staying pretty nice I like where those are at and that sign right there is the finish line we got the 35 mile an hour [Music] [Music] start the clock once I hit second gear for this part my engine temp started at 120 on 30 not our fourth year for this more and we'll stop it at that cedar tree right there not too bad engine temp got up 150 pyrometer only got 600 I'll do a full stop hit first gear here got ourselves a Ford behind us [Music] he's empty though so that doesn't count nevermind we're leaving the board nice and you heard me smoke in the empty bored 45 of Glen dresses all right all right fire armor up to 900 engine temp got up to about 195 I did let the truck warm up for a little while so don't judge we she was over a hundred degrees when I engine temps already back down to thermostat at 180 the barometer is about 750 now Ford is she gonna be back there little ways again this is 2008 six seven comings with a g56 manual transmission southbend duel disk he's got H&S tunes keep it simple on both of my 30 at 30 horsepower too fast 150 and a 4-inch mbrp and some stuff sinister took care of up on top of that all right so it's getting a little late but the results are in and I want to finish up the video because that's pretty excited to do this and I started on five nine has been a great engine it's done this job for many years and it's done well but six seven I guess come and sell room for improvement and they delivered with a six seven but this road test a little experiment section one out of this little Trek the five nine did it in forty seconds at thirty mile an hour not too bad I just couldn't quite squeeze fourth gear out of it as and right in the sweet spot where I was about to shift but ran out of time so that's a that's where it ended at but six seven I did squeeze fourth gear thirty-five seconds at thirty eight mile an hour and it was still pulling pretty good when I hit the finish line out of that section and section two is a longer section with a steeper grade going up it I tried to dead stop both the trucks at the stop sign the five nine pulled that hill in 58 seconds at 35 mile an hour not too bad I stretched it and managed fourth gear out of this one and it just as soon as I shifted right around 3,000 into fourth it it just stayed right about 2,000 rpms it didn't gain any more out of that and just hovered right there 35 mile an hour through the finish line but the six seven forty nine seconds at 45 mile an hour so that is a nine second swinging time right there between the two that's a pretty good chunk I would say for under them for under one minute on a race and at 45 mile an hour ten mile an hour advantage over a five nine I didn't think it was gonna be that big of a gap but I'm gonna say it six seven is frickin mean I didn't I was a little hesitant to switch to six seven but I needed to to get a 55 and oh man I'm so happy and glad that I did because those results right there show you those trucks are pretty much stacked the same as far as their tunes and any other goodies intake exhaust lift pump it's all pretty much the same a little variable that was in in this equation the six seven my Oh 8 is 5500 so it weighs more and it is actually rated at less horsepower from the factory 305 in my old four with the five nine it weighs less and has 325 horsepower factory rating and it got its ass kicked tonight but I mean they're just there's a different feeling and power behind a six seven that's been deleted and it's got some power added to it I absolutely love it arriving that truck that is they all my trucks have a place but I really enjoy driving that oh wait but that's gonna wrap up this video I'm very happy with how it played out and it took a lot of effort that's probably most effort I put into a video before but again I wanted to remind you guys of the giveaway that I'm doing it is one of our company jackets burn is the brand it is very close to a car heart we just get a great deal with them through our embroidering business so we got a couple of those and I want to give you guys one of those so all's you have to do to enter is you got a comment on this video and you have to be a subscriber once I hit a thousand subscribers I will give that
