[Music] hi guys welcome back to my channel my name is erisa and this is aristaroo art and i've been busy oh my gosh i haven't had a made a video in well i think almost two weeks oh eek um but i had another art show so i was prepping for that and i've made a bunch of key chains and uh with cabochons and if you've ever done those they take forever forever um to make and then the glue and even to figure out which ones will go with whisk color metal and whoa and then i had a bunch of stuff to resin and so a lot of stuff going on in the last couple of weeks but the show was on saturday this past saturday and it was successful and i had a great time and made a couple of great contacts so yeah it was a good time i have another one coming up on june 5th too so um summer is this so i love spring summer and even fall in the winter around here lots of shows there's one almost every weekend i won't do them every other week every weekend because that's too busy for me but they're really fun to do so i'm back i'm going to make messy bloom but i kind of want to make a galaxy messy bloom um so i'll show you what i'm going to do when i get you down on the canvas the canvas is going to be eight is 18 by 24 inches i am using uh five of my new primary element colors and i'll show you those because they're gorgeous and i also had a child who had her wisdom teeth pulled out on thursday and she had six of them poor kid and so it's been busy but i'm on vacation this week because tomorrow is my birthday um so i don't work on my birthday i have literally in my life never worked on my birthday so i'm not starting this year either but uh let me get you down on the canvas thank you for being here i will show you the colors i'm gonna make i'm gonna blow out my base coat and i'll tell you about my base coat too because it's a bloom but i'm not doing a base coat of house paint because i don't want to tilt this so my base coat is prussian blue by amsterdam and it's mixed with liquitex basics floss medium and american flotrol so and with a little bit of water to thin it because i don't want to tilt this so i keep saying so so let's get you down on the canvas i'll be right back so i'm back and i have painted the edges and the in the canvas a little bit it's nice and tight hot i guess you would say i don't know because i sprayed the back and i want it to be a little tight so i painted the edges with depression blue because i believe it's kind of a semi-transparent color uh no it's actually transparent so when you're um colors are transparent you really do want to paint your edges just so your color doesn't your canvas doesn't show through so this is my base coat so it's not it's not leaving really a mound or anything and if i'm close it leaves a mound but it disappears pretty quickly so it's not dutch poor thin but it's certainly not um thick or very uh thick consistency so let me show you my colors and i'm gonna show you in the order in which i'm going to put them down so the first one is decoart american metallics in the sterling silver these are definitely thicker than that base coat and if it leaves texture actually don't mind so that works for me the second one i don't know if you'll be able to see it it is the interference red by color art they're primary elements and let me see not the primary elements it's the blingit i misspoke and my third color i have a lot of colors you guys is the er greenish blue by amsterdam and then i have this lovely color called lucky apple by color art look at that do you see how pretty that is it's so super pretty and my next color is the quinacridone magenta by liquitex basics and then i have another primary element this one is called lemon drop look at that one it's just so sparkly can you see it sometimes i think i'm out of the camera frame so that's lemon drop let me go back and just make sure you can see that lucky apple because i don't know if you could so that's the lucky apple beautiful color then my next color is the sea spray by color art this one is gorgeous it's such a pretty soft blue i love it so much look how pretty that one is and then i have the interference violet by golden again i don't think you'll be able to see the shift in it but it's a violet undertone and then i have love ya pink my color art gorgeous so pretty and super sparkly i don't know if you can tell in there but it's so sparkly i love it so much and then my final color is the royal satin bicolor and this one is amazing absolutely amazing feels like that one's a little thick so i'm gonna take my minwax poly acrylic and give it another squirt mix it up it felt like it was a little bit too thick for me so that that's a little bit better so that is the royal satin all right so i'm gonna have negative space my my cell activators are this is a mixture of the deep gold by amsterdam with a little bit of the iridescent um precious gold by pebble and then i have my winsor newton mars black i'm going to flood my canvas i am going to have negative space on here because i want to make sure that i have kind of that galaxy look it's going to be a messy bloom and that i'm going to really blow it out with a hair dryer and so you're going to get parts of the base coat throwing through and little so i'm hoping i get like soft colors and stuff like that but i never know until like be quiet and do it so i'm gonna get this flooded and come back i'm gonna put you on pause i'll be right back okay i am all flooded let me torch really quickly here and i can torch because again this is not house paint on the base this is flow troll and gloss varnish so i'm gonna torch it quickly oh maybe there we go there are lots of bubbles because i just mixed this paint okay all right so i'm gonna start layering my paints i don't really have a composition in mind yet so i'm just gonna layer them oh let me show you i have these little reusable stir sticks from color art these are so cute and they clean up so easily and i absolutely love them i i'm so happy i have these it'll save me so much money on um sticks and also you know the environment and stuff so i love them so much so i'm gonna do a layer here and you'll see i'm really really really gonna blow this out a lot because i don't want it to be too thick to dry and i don't want um it to be too solid against her because i'm going for that galaxy look there's not too many solid colors in a galaxy like that that well in the paintings that i really like the colors are not so solid and so i'm gonna go for what i like and that means i'm gonna blow this two bits a little bit lots of colors holy moly so maybe this one will be the one that i use all the colors on and i'll see how it turns out and if i think it's too much then i will adjust for the others and only put a few colors so they're not all the same i don't really want them all the same so also i want this to flow so around each one i'm gonna act kind of like a dutch pore and put a little bit of the base coat behind it paper towels all right so i'm gonna put my gold down in the center and then my black and i'm gonna blow it let's see nervous i've never done this all right i love how that looks uh one thing i'm gonna do though i think i'm gonna get a more powerful blow dryer oh it makes me nervous because i don't want it to i don't want to blow too much or how i don't want it to be too weak i'm very frankly and that's too weak so i'm going to get a more powerful blow dryer i still laugh because i have so many blow dryers and i literally don't ever use a blow dryer on my hair i think that's amusing to me all right so i really like that one i think the next one i'm gonna go more linear because i don't want to only have these blooms and so you'll see how i'm gonna do it so i'm just going to kind of go let it linear with this one hold down a base some of the base color around this one i'm going to get it into a smaller one i don't have much more of it so i didn't consider that part and i wanted to actually take some of that bloom away so i'm going to let it really go let me throw my gold in there and then my black all right there that's more that's more of what i wanted because now it's more subtle let me get this corner off here and then i think i'll do just kind of one more small one and maybe in a different direction [Music] or it's not even the doorbell it's the motion sensor she's a nut all right so i'm gonna put some more here i want more on this side because i'm gonna blow this one up and down i think we'll see throw my gold in there and actually i think what i'm gonna do on this one i'm running out of base coat i'm gonna throw some base coat through there so it breaks up the colors a little bit more it's actually really cool you guys so this little area right here is not bothering me it's too clean so i'm going to take some of a little bit more if i have some of my base coat i only have a little bit i'm going to throw it in here so i can disrupt this part [Applause] [Applause] it's like cool it's really cool i love these different parts and pockets of cells just where there's clean edges like that i'm going to blow them off and blow them pretty hard because i want the base coat to come through i don't want this to be so solid on the edges like right there i'm definitely gonna make that edge work for me here by blowing it off a little bit and i think i'm gonna have to flip it around to get to those areas all right come on let go and so because i'm almost i can grab let's squeeze a little bit more base coat out so there you go that's much better than any other area where i don't want it to be i like that one because it's very it's straight but it's also very light so i'll blow just a little bit in the center of it but i don't want to disrupt that oh that's actually looks really cool okay so let me turn it back over to me and i'll show you the last thing i'm going to do which is odd let me get rid of these gloves because i need clean hands for this one so i want to add a little bit of sparkle and i'm gonna get clean gloves on it actually because i don't want any oils from my hands disrupting what i'm about to do i want a little sparkle but i don't want it to be like bam there's definitely sparkle in the colors but i want some sparkle in the negative space so what i'm going to do is there's another of the blingit series called the abalone shell by color art and so what i've done in the past and it worked really well is i'm just going to take a little bit of it because it's super fine can you see that and i'm just gonna sprinkle it i'm gonna let it hit and it stays on there and it wets just a little bit but what you do and what i do will say this is very very fine so i'm doing this because i'm talking i'm not wearing a mask if you do this wear a mask if you're not filming because you don't want to inhale too much of this um mica and pigments because they're two part the products are so fine that they'll get into your lungs and stuff and you it won't i don't know wear a mask so i'm just gonna in select areas throw a little bit of sparkle in there and when this dries it won't be so it'll be just a little bit of sparkle on top in different areas it kind of looks like stars which i really really liked in the past when i did it and so if you get to an area where you think you've done too heavy just blow it off a little bit and it'll d it'll disperse them a little bit more so like right in there there's a little bit of negative space that's just the um base coat so i'm going to take my big old gloves and just put a little bit there so there's some sparkle in all those negative spaces and you can do this with glitter but i really just like the way the looks when i've done it in the past so it's just all these little spots where there's more negative space just put a little bit of that shelf again if you get too much blow it a bit and it'll tame it a little bit all right let me put this back in my container i don't waste my my desire is to clap my glove over this but i won't i'm gonna a little bit more off and then i'll tap my glove over it a little bit to kind of disperse it amongst it take my gloves off i will get you guys down so you can see the final result please do remember i have my twenty percent off code for color art it's a wrist route 221 all lowercase it'll get you 20 off your entire order at colorado.com and check this out this makes me so happy i was inspired you know what i'm going to pause because i want to tell you the name of the woman who inspired
