500 MAGNUM TORTURE TEST 😱

oh yeah today's gonna be a good day brand new 500 smith and wesson magnum whew i cannot wait to try this thing out hello oh hey mom yeah i just got back from texas yeah i was hanging out with matt range and i'm super excited about today's video about a year ago we torture tested a desert eagle that's a gun i've never seen torture tested before and i was really excited to see how it holds up well today we're going to torture test another gun that i've never seen torture tested before and that is the 500 smith wesson magnum the 500 magnum is my favorite gun and that's why i'm so excited about seeing how it holds up against some elements this is a smith wesson 500 magnum with an 8 and 3 8 inch barrel very nice revolver before we go set this up and torture test it i want to say thank and you stand there and you shoot it i don't really want to do that today because the 500 smith and wesson magnum is the largest production handgun that you can get and it creates a lot of pressure i don't think that the gun's gonna blow up today but if it were i don't want it to be in my hands so today we're gonna play it safe i have a vice grip here i've got this piece of wood with a hole cut through it after i dip the gun in mud or whatever i'll stick it through this hole tighten down the vice grip so it will hold the gun pull the hammer back tie a string around the trigger get back and hide and then pull the string oh and every time we pull the trigger i'm going to have a watermelon set in front of the 500 magnum okay so naturally the first test is going to be water and i'm not going to clamp it down for the water i do not believe that the gun's going to blow up when i dip it in water so i am going to shoot this one standing i think it'll be okay i got some old ammunition for today's video that actually came with the gun this is winchester supreme these are 400 grain platinum tip hollow points i've already got my string tied around the gun so i'm just going to leave that in there and i'm going to load up three rounds finger off the trigger that looks good all right let's see if she fires that is a little harder to hold on to when it's wet that is slick if it's wet very slick but the gun worked all right we've got our dirt i'm gonna go ahead and just check it in the dirt i guess cover it up a little bit hmm actually you know what i didn't put a round in there let's go ahead and do that it's already looking promising all right i'll throw one in right there oh okay so yeah i think that looks pretty good let's uh set this thing up and see if it fires stick it through this hole right here make sure that this string is able to move clamp it down now we're going to add a watermelon we're going to pull the hammer back now we're gonna get back okay i'm behind my truck for cover gonna get the slack out of this line [Laughter] okay well get some watermelon in our dirt the watermelon is no more and the gun functioned oh wow that kicked right out of the vise undo this then my front sight broke off that's no good okay we're clear hammer's not going every time that's weird let's rinse it off all right i got it rinsed off it's a little muddy but it's all right but the gun seems to be functioning again everything seems to be working good single action also so let's move on to our next test oh that's nasty pour out a little bit of the water there we go yeah that's that's good right there all right put a round in there now we'll stick at the mud where's my front sight i can't keep that put that in my pocket oh gosh nasty all right oh that's just that's awful stick it in here make sure our string is free lock down the vice watermelon let's see if the hammer cock's back oh it's not wanting to hmm a little bit of assistance we got it in there now let's scoot back here we go oh my gosh where'd the gun go the gun either blew out the vice or the gun blew up let's go check it out okay well it looks like the gun did not blow up i'm very thankful for that it just blew out of the vise definitely going to need to cerakote this thing after this test all right well let's see if the cylinder opens it does get the round out of there oh that sounds so bad so gritty oh all right let's see if it functions that cylinder is not turning oh the hammer is not cylinder is turning but the hammer is not cocking back when i'm pulling the trigger so the double action is not working oh got one got two okay so it definitely needs to be rinsed off and then we'll see how it functions right now doesn't seem to be functioning very good really having a hard time even getting that cylinder open single action i think we got single actions working yeah double action not so much so the mud jacked up the 500 magnum pretty good you'd get one shot off but after that you may be fumbling a little bit single action was working okay double action not so much got it soaking in this water it's been there for about five or ten minutes and i've been working with it so we're pretty cleaned off now it's looking pretty good i've got most of the mud out of there back here where the hammer's at get most of that mud out there too so now other than the fact that i'm missing my front sight the gun seems to be functioning normally again single action two so that's good news now we're gonna put it through something that i know is gonna jack this gun up i'll be really surprised if we can even get the cylinder to turn sand now i'll just get it out of here fish for the grip there oh yeah that's nice and gritty i'm gonna be really surprised if the cylinder even turns place the gun in here all right before i [ __ ] the hammer back let's set up our watermelon all right let's see if this hammer pulls back nope maybe with some assistance okay we are locked in let's go hide all right here we go hey the gun stayed in the vice this time i guess the sand really helped grip it let's go check it out so the gun did fire and it successfully destroyed our watermelon okay let's get that round out of there got some sand in those cylinders all right let's see if it functions okay so cylinder turned but we got no hammer so double action doesn't seem to be working oh a little bit double action is not working too hot how about single action oh hmm okay let's see if it functions now it appears to be good but there may be some sand deep down in there we're gonna find out all right keep the string out of the way double action three four five okay double action seems to be working again that's good single action as well so that's good [Applause] [Music] so we've done the standard torture tests on the 500 magnum water dirt mud sand but i want to do one more test what if you're about to go out in your argo you're out shooting your 500 magnum and you accidentally left it on the ground and what if you accidentally run over it with your argo all right well double action's still working single action's still working so if you run it over with your argo it's still going to be all right but what if for some reason you had it tied to your argo and you completely forgot to untie it before you take off tracks don't work very well in the pond apparently got a big one i guess you're supposed to take the tracks off for uh you know going to the water i'm trying to get out [Music] come on baby brakes don't work very good okay so i know now that the tracks are not very good for the water uh i did try this thing out without the tracks and it does really good in the water but i put the tracks on it because i thought it looked cool but apparently forward is reverse and reverse is forward with the tracks in the water not gonna lie i was a little bit worried all right oh my gosh look at the bucket that's why i want to keep the tracks on it because we could do some really fun stuff we got some grass in our cylinder here let's see oh gosh pop that out let's see if this gun functions cylinder is not turned up double action's not working too well single action single action seems to be working okay trigger's stuck a little bit all in all i'd say it held up pretty well for getting drugged behind an argo and into a pond let's wash this thing off and see if it will work i think we're good i think it's going to work let's see here double action double actions working well trigger is a little sticky still probably something in there and single action seems to be working cool well i guess we need to fire it one or two more times and see if this thing still works i would fire this by hand and i was gonna do that before we did the argo scenario but since we've drug it all over the place i would say now is a good time as ever for the gun to explode so i'm not going to shoot it in my hand we're going to hook it back up over here on the vice i'm going to put three rounds in here and what i'll do is [ __ ] the hammer back we'll pull the string i'll come back [ __ ] the hammer back pull the string keep going until we go through all three rounds i've only got two left let's just go ahead and set them both up at the same time all right now we're just going to pull our hammer back and now let's scoot back all right here we go first shot looks like we're still good i wonder if i can get a double action pull from back here the gun slipped out of the vise just a little bit so i moved it i think we may be able to do a double action pull so i'm going to wrap that around my finger so i can get a good grip and duck under here here we go let's see oh gosh oh the gun blew out of the vice yep blew out the vice on landed right on a rock looks like we're still good though last pull double action okay injector ow that really hurt those are stuck in there good now let's check this out it seems like it's working good single action's working double action double action uh not working oh it's just gummed up i'm sure it could use some oil all right that trigger something is in there preventing it from springing back up so definitely have to disassemble this thing and check it out but seems to be in pretty good shape well that's going to be it for today's video i think the 500 magnum did pretty good what do
