been a doctor of chiropractic for over 26 years i'm going to give you realistic advice based on my experience but it's also based on the scientific literature and i will put references down below in can lead to a stroke or a heart attack which will devastate your life you will simply never be the same person so let's get into it and let's start fixing the blood pressure what is the effect that nuts and seeds have on high blood pressure the answer is that they lower your blood pressure but how do they do that what's in them that makes them so effective at lowering your blood pressure well they have magnesium and what magnesium does is magnesium relaxes your blood vessels and when your blood vessels are relaxed they can become more pliable and there's less pressure thus your blood pressure goes down nuts and seeds will also contribute towards producing nitric oxide and nitric oxide allows your blood vessels to become really dilated so they get bigger thus lowering your blood pressure plus most nuts and seeds have monounsaturated fats and polysterols and what this does is it contributes to lower blood pressure by reducing inflammation now of all the nuts and seeds which one is the best they're all pretty good because they all have these things but the research shows that it's pistachios that actually have the most benefit of all the different types of nuts and seeds so start eating them if i remember what i'll do is i'll put the research down below in the description for you on that one it is kind of fascinating that of all the all the seeds out there and all the different nuts that it's pistachios i would have guessed macadamia nuts but what do i know now what would happen to your blood pressure if you ate a lot of sardines guess what the blood pressure goes down now like most fatty fish sardines have omega-3 fatty acids and there's a lot of benefits to your blood pressure as well as other parts of your body to having more omega-3s in your diet now why am i saying sardines and not saying something like salmon the answer is because salmon takes a lot of preparation you need to know how to cook it sardines are easy they're just in a can they're already probably in your cupboard but why why sardines and why omega-3s what effect does omega-3s have on your blood pressure here's the answer now what omega-3s do is they relax smooth muscle by affecting the calcium potassium channels inside those muscular cells so they allow the muscular cells the inner lining of the artery to become more relaxed and thus more pliable allowing your blood pressure to go down also omega-3 fatty acids help reduce the inflammatory process that's all over our body which is the underlying reason why most cardiovascular disease exists in the first place so you reduce the inflammation you reduce the blood pressure so when it comes to purchasing sardines how you want to use them is you can use them in salads you could use them just eating them out of the can just make sure that when you do buy sardines that they're in they're either natural oils or olive oil without too much salt so you can eat them right out of the can you can eat them while you stand you can eat them anytime you want said sam i am so what is the effect of cinnamon on our blood pressure the answer is of course that it lowers our blood pressure what did you think i was going to say i mean what kind of youtuber do you think i am now cinnamon is interesting because it actually does two things number one it's gonna lower your blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels number two it lowers your bad cholesterol and you see if you can lower your bad cholesterol then what ends up happening is you become a healthy person and you know what happens to healthy people with their blood pressure the blood pressure goes down now what is the best way to use cinnamon bam bam bam bam bam bam cinnamon ask your doctor if cinnamon is right for you there of course might be some medication that you're on where cinnamon is not something you want to be eating but jeez louise add cinnamon to your life it'll just spice things up holy crap that made me dizzy what is the effect of turmeric on your blood pressure the answer is that turmeric lowers your blood pressure but how does it do that what it does is it inhibits an enzyme in your liver that actually is responsible for narrowing your blood pressure turmeric is so powerful that you really have to be careful with it and the reason why is because this enzyme that i talked about in the liver that's a target for many medications so if you're taking medication that lowers your blood pressure by doing the exact same thing as turmeric then if you combine both you're doing two things that have the same action and that can actually be a problem because then you could lower your blood pressure too much and you can start actually having problems with that turmeric interestingly enough also lowers your blood sugar which thus will reduce inflammation and if you can reduce your blood sugar as well as reducing your blood pressure as well as reducing inflammation with this one thing wow that's strike three for ill health isn't it i mean ultimately those are the conditions that people want fixed inflammation high blood sugar and high blood pressure turmeric is a very very powerful thing that you can use now how exactly do you use it well it depends on whether you like the flavor it's you could literally put it on any type of food and it just kicks up the flavoring of that food you will taste the turmeric or another way that you can do it is simply taking capsules and i'll put in the link down below if you want to look at some that i have used in the past you don't necessarily have to get those but look at them and those are the ones that i would recommend for patients that i see what is the effect of dark chocolate on your blood pressure people just go absolutely crazy when they hear this one this is the most fun dark chocolate has a positive effect on lowering your blood pressure i mean hallelujah right you just can't go crazy with eating that much of it that's the challenge but how and why why dark chocolate why not milk chocolate why not white chocolate the reason why is because the dark chocolate has something in it called flavonoids and these flavonoids assist our body in producing more nitric oxide and the nitric oxide is a gas inside our blood vessels that will help dilate our blood vessels and allow the blood vessels to become more pliable if you have dilated blood vessels that are also more pliable then your blood pressure goes down how fantastic is that how much should you be eating and also how do you go about getting dark chocolate in your diet well for most people it's actually quite easy you just eat it by the bucket full duh no don't do that but about three ounces of chocolate the amount that you can fit in the palm of your hand just about a quarter inch up about that much just the palm full of dark chocolate is enough to lower your blood pressure what i like to do is make my own trail mix so you can use dark chocolate chips you can use almonds you can use pistachios you can use macadamia nuts you can use walnuts and right there you've got if you get that in the palm of your hand and just eat that for a snack whoa you've got a powerful literally a meal of food that's going to satisfy you and all those things i just mentioned in that trail mix will help lower your blood pressure so this is the important part and i want you to listen carefully right over here in a
