[Music] very often we find ourselves at a crossroads we make a decision for ourselves and we force the issue or trust god that he's in control and that he would do for us all the things that he wants to do but in his time now here are the five signs of times that god is telling you in my time i will do it sign number one you can't make a clear-cut decision some decisions you have to take as a child of god are not clear-cut sometimes you have to make a decision between two right choices sometimes you have to decide between two safe options now these safe options often find us swinging tethering between the two because there's nothing to lose but a lot to gain very often when you feel like this it is a sign from god that he wants you to trust him more there's nothing to lose in these instances so it's easy to feel tempted to go ahead with your plans and to try to get things done your way but what you're called to do as a christian is to trust god trust in his ability to take care of us and to direct us towards that decision that is best for us pray that he comes and he takes control of that situation and resolving your heart to give yourself into complete surrender even after prayer you might still find yourself stuck but remember that you are never truly stuck you have the almighty god ready to fight your battle for you however he might just be asking you to wait god in his place in our lives as you do learn to trust his timing and peace sign number three when you're going through really trying times now when you want something so much that we might go to great lengths to get it we're often exposed to spiritual attacks now you need to know that you're a person you're a person that's important to god's plan and the devil knows it too yes that's right even the devil knows that you're important to god's plan and that is why the devil would use your desires to attack you you know sometimes we think that we are tempted externally but you know what the bible says the bible says that we should not say when we are tempted that god is tempting us but rather each man is tempted of his own desires can i give you a secret the devil doesn't know what your desires are most times you tell him you show him and then he uses those desires or rather he collaborates with those desires to bring you down but god in turn he looks at our needs he looks at our desires and he knows when we're ready or not now if you're not ready for what god has planned for you god might permit certain experiences to happen to you to prepare you for your blessing now god's experience with his children is often characterized by a period where he tells you to wait and while you wait he shapes you and he starts to polish you so that you can become ready for the gifts that he has for you now this period of waiting learning and very often failing and growing is a journey that we need to go through now maybe it's a period of some financial struggle to prepare us for more physical responsibility or maybe it's a period of increased responsibility at work probably to prepare us for a promotion because the way god could use to prepare us are limitless or whatever happens this same sense of urgency might be constrained it might be constrained on you because the devil doesn't want you to remember all the times that god has told you to trust him [Music] listen he doesn't want you to remember now remember in jeremiah chapter 29 verses 11 we were told for i know the plans i have for you declares the lord plans to prosper you and not harm you plans to give you a hope and a future now that turmoil that sense of urgency through it all behind the noise of the devil's confusion might be god's charge to wait on him it might be god's charge to wait on him and not to rush while he does his work in our lives sign number five your own best laid plans seem to be fading now we as humans we're always making plans we plan every little detail from the clothes we want to wear to the house that we hope to live in when we grow up now these human plans are often exciting to consider but slightly misguided you see when we're not equipped to control all the variables that can make our plans a reality and it makes so much more sense to be able to trust the one who can control all these variables look let's not get it twisted god loves us so much and his love for you and me is unquantifiable so he wants you to always get the best from him now this means trusting him in our times of uncertainty the bible says in the book of proverbs chapter 19 verses 21 many are the plans of a man's heart but it is the lord's purpose that prevails we're also told in the book of jeremiah that god's plan is to prosper us now if god's purpose always prevails and that purpose is to prosper us wouldn't it make much more sense to trust in him and his timing i want you to know something god uses the failures of our plans however well-intentioned that he might be to draw us closer to him and to encourage us to put our trust in his plans and his timing instead so no matter what you are going through no matter how perfect you think your plans are probably they failed probably they are
