hello my YouTube friends when I first started live streaming it was all I could do to keep up with a simple stream I can remember getting annoyed with audio issues and bringing up a simple video to talk about would make my freaking head explode there is no substitute for experience when it comes to live streaming and we all go through that in the beginning but after a while you learn the tools and the equipment and things slow down for you while you're streaming and if you've arrived at that spot in your streaming Journey then you're here to expand on the tools that you use to create more Dynamic and immersive streaming experiences for your audience so today I want to share with you the five tools that I use in every live stream to improve the look and feel of my live streaming experience for me and my audience so you know what let's get to it all the tools I'm going to show you today are totally free and there is a link in the description so you can download them and check them out for yourself oh and you don't want to miss the bonus tool at the end it saves me hours of hassle on the setup for every live stream plug-in number one let me introduce you to the move plugin the most simple and basic form of the move plugin is really easy to show you I have a nested camera here so let's create some more scenes and what we're going to do in this scene is we're going to go ahead and add our video capture device we're going to just use the exist resting the camera right here and there we go so we have it in here but we're going to shrink it down like that and we'll just go ahead and click the plus here and we're going to add a display capture because maybe we're doing some sort of a game or something like that so let's just capture a display that a game would be on and there we go click okay and we'll bring this up like that and we'll just extend it and we'll put that below our camera and what we're going to do is we're just going to duplicate this scene right here and that's pretty easy to do boom duplicate uh in in this duplicate scene we're just going to take our camera and we're going to move it over here and then we'll just right click here and we'll duplicate this scene again and in this duplicate we're just going to take our camera and move it over here and then we'll just duplicate our scene again and in this duplicate we'll just take our camera and move it down here and then all we have to do is click the plug plus under our transitions right here and we're going to select move and we don't actually have to do anything here we don't have to change a single thing and what you're going to see is now when we switch scenes our camera's going to move around the screen in a nice fluid Manner and this is the basis for everything in the move transition but you can move assets around a single scene so this is my normal live stream just a clip of it and all of the camera movements that you see here are all done within the move plug-in so you could see right there we added Monica in on one side we added Michael in on the other the camera movement is fluid and that was all done in the same scene using the move plug-in and you'll see it continue right here where it just goes to just Monica and I and then you have this example of the move plug-in now needless to say there are camera effects on here that make the screen Brown and give it an old timey look but what I want you to focus on are the mustache and the monacle which are both controlled with the move plug-in and as you can see they move with me in this video you will never run out of cool tricks that you can do with the move plugin I work hard to create content I think you're going to enjoy sometimes I hit and sometimes I miss but honestly it's really hard to know for sure and that's where you can really help me out if you're enjoying this video take a second and click that thumbs up button it's totally free and of course if it's not your thing click the thumbs down button it's okay I just want to know your honest opinion if everyone watching this video does that it literally tells me what direction to take my content and I really do appreciate it so click those thumbs up and thumbs down thanks guys let's continue plugin two next I'm going to show you you the advanced mask plugin and it's awesome so in order to use the advanced mask plugin we have our camera right here we're just going to rightclick on it and we're going to go to filters we're going to click the plus and we're going to go to Advanced mask and click okay and so we've got a bunch of different options you can already see that a mask has been applied and we're using Alpha mask in this case a shape and a rectangle so the shapes have all different sorts we've got a rectangle a circle an ellipse regular polygon star and a heart so let's go ahead and mess around with the star for just a second we can adjust the center point or move it around if we like we can go ahead and adjust the rotation of our star pretty cool and then we can adjust the number of points we can adjust the outer radius to make it bigger or smaller and we can adjust the inner radius like that we can also adjust our Corner radius so we can round off the corners and we can zoom our image in and out as well so that is the star right there but this does so much more so we can use a source which is essentially a video image that we would load a source over here and then we can choose it right here could be any video image that we want and I'll show you what that looks like in a minute we can also use an image so let's go ahead and load up an image and that is what an image mask might look like and this is that mask right there so it's basically a white image on a black background and that's what creates our mask right here so this right here is a mask created with video using the advanced mask tool and if I click play you could see we've got a video in the back that's rotating with a rotating mask and then the inner mask of just my camera is also rotating and this is easily creatable using OBS I show a lot about how to create something like this in my Advanced masks tutorial so you can check that out as well but the only limit to the things that you can do with the mask is your imagination it's absolutely awesome how many different cool things that you can create using the advanced mask plugin there is one catch see when we go here to the other camera and that mask is now applied to it that's not what we want but our next tool is going to help us fix that plugin three we don't want our Advanced mask applied to every camera and as you could see it automatically does well how do we fix that well the first thing we're going to do is we're going to go into filters and we're going to just remove our Advanced mask from this one right here and that's going to restore all of our cameras back to their original shape then we're going to go into scene two and instead of adding the cam like we did right here we're going to go ahead and remove that and instead we're going to click the plus and we're going to use a plugin called The Source clone basically with the source clone we're going to clone a type which is source and we're going to select the source that we want to clone in this case we want to clone the cam and we want to go ahead and we want to use the audio so make sure audio is checked so we get the audio for our camera and click okay and now we can just right click on this go into filters click the plus go into our Advanced mask and we can add our star and there we go so now our camera is normal and our Clone Camera mask camera is that and we can see that the rest of these have not changed it works awesome and now we can have as many camera masks in different scenes as we want using the source clone on the same original camera it's awesome you can add so much variety to your streams with this plugin plug-in number four the downstream ke this one is revolutionary so do you have a bunch of scenes in your live stream that you want to be able to add assets to but you don't want to have to add the assets to every single scene well the downstream key can basically allow you to put assets over any scene that you want really easily it's so handy so once you install it you just go into docs and you add your Downstream key and that's what it looks like right there so it has uh this one here called dis one and what we're going to do is rename that so what can we do with this well let's say we had assets that we want to be able to show in any one of the scenes that we use well let's go ahead and click the plus and we'll just call this jokes and so we've created a scene we're going to add an asset in here it's going to be a video and we don't need to Loop it or anything like that click okay and this is what it looks like right there now we just need to select this right here and click the Plus on our Downstream key and it adds that in there so now we could go to any of the scenes and we just select it right here and it plays it over top and then we can pause it to unselect it go to another scene whatever we're doing in this scene we can just select it and you can see that if I change scenes it's still there it will play over any one of these scenes at any time let's say we have 20 different audio sounds that we like to play in different scenes as a soundboard well what we we can do is we can go over here in our Downstream key and we can create another tab so we'll do this and we're going to add and we'll call it soundboard and now what we could do is add sounds and we'll select our soundboard over here we'll click the plus there we go so now when we're in any scene we can play our soundboard and you see it show up down here we can pause it but we can add more and we can use these on any scene that we're in so now we have a soundboard that we can use in in any scene it's perfect to have your alerts in there use your soundboard and put any assets that are common that you may want to use for any scene right there in any scene the downstream cure makes adding fun elements to any scene so easy plug-in number five stroke Shadow and glow this one is awesome you can use it as a filter or you could just use it as an added ative to any pretty much anything that you have in your scene what we're going to do is we're going to go with our source clone we're going to right click go to filters we're going to select the plus and we're going to go with a glow right here and we want an outer glow and we're going to go with this one right here because it uses less of a uh clock cycle and we can add size to it like that now you see when you start to get outside the size of the box which you could see the box right here you're going to get your glow cut off which you may or may not like you can adjust that if you wanted to by clicking the plus and going to your crop pad and we'll move the crop pad above our thing here and we're going to add let's say minus 100 and we're going to do that with all of these and this just adds space around there for us to add this effect and this works with text especially well so now we have a crop or a pad around our glow so we can make it as big or small as we want and there you go on this particular one let's go ahead and add a drop shadow and we're going to use this as well there you can see what that looks like so we can intensify our drop shadow or we can make it kind of less we can adjust the angle of the actual Shadow so it could go above or below we can move the distance of the Shadow out and we can adjust the size as well and we'll increase the intensity so you can see kind of what that looks like and we can change the color of the Shadow as well if you wanted it to be green or blue that makes it more like a glow but whatever there we go so now we have Shadow click the plus and we'll go to our stroke right here and all that is is a color that it will put around there so we can adjust the size of our stroke and we can offset it so we'll add some space around the outside you can see we're having the crop pad issue right here we'll add some space and now we can go ahead and offset it more if we want to to give it some space can offset it less we can adjust our stroke size pretty much as big or as small as we want and we can adjust the color we can add multiple things to it and we're going to add a shadow and so you're going to see that it will add a Shadow outside of our box as well and you can see that this maintains from one to the other you can do this with text as well on our text we can add this to any text we want it looks awesome you can do this with anything any asset that you use in your live streams that's going to look so much better than your standard basic image or standard basic video it just you're automatically framing it you're making it look cool no need for excessive overlay Creation With The Stroke Shadow and glow you can just take your assets and expand on what they look like to make it look like you have an awesome overlay when you're just using built in plugins that are already in OBS it's awesome stroke Shadow and glow plugin is fantastic the only limit in that one is your imagination the bonus plugin now this last one is a bonus because it's not going to apply to every User it's only going to work for people who have an Nvidia graphics card that's the Nvidia background removal tool and let me show you how this works all we have to do once we have it installed is right click and go to filters and we'll click the plus and we're going to go to our Nvidia background removal tool and click okay and boom our background is removed now this works really well if you're playing video games or something like that to add your camera let me show you what I mean we're going to go and click here and add this media source and we'll just move this down below our camera and so you can see our media source is back there and we'll minimize this up so now we have a camera here that has its background already removed we can move it around however we want you know you can also apply all of the same things to something like this so we can go into filters and there we go so now we've got a glow around us our camera and the Nvidia background removal tool works really really well and of course if you want to see how all of these tools work I have specific videos that dial down on each one essentially this video here is meant to kind of show you what sort of tools I use in every live stream if you want to dig deeper into them you're going to have to check out those individual videos but at least you know what you're interested in and what is actually possible that one saves me hours of lighting and background modification issues now I can change my background anytime it suits the needs of the stream with without having to mess with lighting or a green screen the best part is my standard background is always available I love it did I leave out a plug-in that you can't stream without let me know in the comments below I'd really like to hear about it and if you want a deeper dive into the advanced mask plug-in you should check this video out and if you're always looking for tools tips and tricks to help make you a better live streamer or YouTuber subscribe to the
