guys welcome back today we're doing some bush hogging this is a seven foot don't know the model it's old it is extremely heavy duty i think that's three eighths thick just the bracing by itself it is a 75 horsepower pto box blades should be sharpened since i last used it so this is really really heavy for the rk55 uh i left the grapple off of it real quick because i wanted to see if it was too heavy for the tractor without a loader on and it will pop a wheelie without a bucket or anything on here with the loader arms up so just for fun i'll set you on the tripod and i'm gonna bring these uh front tires off the ground just to show you how uh heavy this bush hog is [Music] [Music] so yeah pretty heavy so i'm gonna go ahead and hook up the grapple that way if i'm out in the woods or edge of the field come across a log or any limbs that came off the tree go ahead and pick them up move them out of the way move them to a burn pit but definitely not recommended to do what i just did okay when you hook up this grapple you're gonna press this button side to side that way it releases the pressure on the hoses the hydraulic fittings also whenever you disconnect you want to connect these together that way you can get them off real easy okay now that we got these latched hydraulics set up dump this bucket off start bush hogging okay guys now that i'm done playing i got this set up got the grapple it's all latched down hydraulics connected three point for the tractor i have adjusted you're on your three point obviously you've got your up and down which will control your cutting height right here back here on this back wheel you have this to adjust the cutting height at the rear try to have those level then also with the rear your top link i have this adjusted as far as far out as i feel without pulling these pulling this out of the thread but this normally wants to be about in the middle and what that does is it allows the back to contour to the ground as you go over humps and ditches whatever then also from side to side on your three point you got your adjustment right here to make sure it's level side to side other than that grease points make sure you have fluid make sure the clutch slips there's videos on that uh but for now this is the field that uh i'm going to be working on and i'm going to throw you guys up into the air so you can see a little bit better but i'm going to throw the drone up in the air let you guys get a bird eyes view some bush hogging i'm not sure how i can show the thickness of this but it's fairly thick probably about three to four feet tall some of this is about five feet tall if it's dry enough i'll go back in there it's about seven foot tall back in there which i do have video at the very beginning probably number five i think on my video list i have some bush hogging i have to go go back towards the early videos to see that stuff but we're getting you some fresh videos today let's get started [Music] [Music] so so [Music] do [Music] do [Music] so [Music] so so so so [Applause] [Applause] okay i got most of this field mowed off if you look at the uh grill of this machine i'm not under it it is uh getting caked with stuff which will cause overheating issues so what we need to do i do have this pointed so it will only come down yay far always make sure you got some type of brace you know common sense use it get this popped i got it running right now just because uh turbos you don't want to run it really hard and then turn it off what it does is it crystallizes the oil so let it let it run for a little bit and to have a chance to cool off the turbo uh kind of jumping ahead a little bit there's moving parts don't get your fingers in them set that to the side so what we got here is these screens i'm gonna shut the tractor off okay these screens will get clogged up uh i forgot to turn the wheel hold on uh you will have to turn the wheel off to the passenger side or driver or to the right whatever but we want to get these cleaned and see how much build up was there if you don't keep these clean i always stop about every hour or so kind of get it as clean as possible uh obviously everything's gonna be hot don't don't touch it so i'm gonna go ahead and get these cleaned just wanna do a little reminder uh about every 30 minutes to an hour uh depends on how tall your stuff is what type of uh stuff you're bush hogging but you definitely do not want to overheat the tractor so make sure you guys stop every once in a while get this stuff cleaned out might start a fire might overheat the tractor all kinds of stuff can happen all kinds of bad stuff so little reminder another thing do not wash this out that water will collect dirt it will collect all the grass and everything a lot faster always use air or a type of brush and brush it or blow it out so just a quick tip on that and i'm gonna end up putting this back together but like i said half hour to every hour jump out make sure you check that don't have to exactly take everything apart you can just pop the hood see what it looks like and kind of judge it by there but i always wanted to just go ahead and just stop take a little break clean it out so i know i haven't done any videos yet on the grapple since i did the third function kit so this video is a little bit of that a little bit of bush hog been slacking on the videos here lately because it's been like high 90s high humidity just hooking this up today at 80 degrees and high humidity i was sweating so i will try to get more videos out for you guys uh leave in the comments if you want more grapple stuff do you want bush hog stuff we're on another field here probably five or six more big ones be out here all night just wanna also point out the way i have this raked real low to the ground that way if there's any stumps that i forgot or don't know about that'll kind of let me know first and then if any logs i can normally fill that with the front tires before i actually get to the bush hog itself i just want to show the how low i'm cutting this i mean it's almost yard height pretty low uh just to show how thick this is and how tall it is it's about the size of these tires and at least three foot of that is super thick so and then you got some of these big big ones that are seven foot tall but definitely got to have it in low gear for this type of stuff if it's a lot thinner been bush hogged already and it's a little taller than what a finish mower can do you can do medium gear with this hydrostatic but for this real thick stuff just throw it in low gear and just kind of put along it it handles us fine i hit six inch size uh logs here and there but uh for the most part it'll handle it definitely need a bigger tractor if you want to mow a lot faster but and i do have a big alice 190 diesel problem is it doesn't have a cab with air conditioning and a radio [Music] [Music] [Applause] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] you
