4 Worst Home Security Mistakes

worst home security mistakes that I see and they're happening all the time now it's very possible there are worse mistakes still and others that deserve to be on this list but we're omitted so sound whatever your pleasure grab some popcorn hit up the comments it'll be a grand old time it's an old past time for me as well so let's do this number one is the worst mistake you could make is think bad guys only come after midnight we seem to always prepare for a specific break-in you know you're lying in bed you're woken up at 3 a.m. in the morning to the sound of broken glass so you grab your Gatling gun your multicam bathrobe and you scurry off to stack bodies so the reality is most burglaries happen in the middle of the day the FBI estimates that 65 percent of burglaries happen between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and personally because of all the fortifications and early warning device as I have I'm not really worried about the break-in during the middle of the night not anymore I do worry though about the mom and kids who are a home in the middle of the day and they don't have you know that discipline or wherewithal to lock the doors door lock door locks aren't just for nighttime people when thinking about home security everyone you've got to plan for an attack at any time of day or night alright number two no outer security improvements that's no security lights that's no alarm systems cameras Hardware fortifications security signs in the driveway or warning my umbrella corporation mutant dog will bite your face off the number one rule of home security should be don't be a target in the first place homes without a security system are 300 percent more likely to be broken in three hundred percent it's easy get an alarm system people you need bad guys to look at your house and say yeah no thanks not worth the trouble pick someone else furthermore if someone does attempt to break in you need as much early warning as possible you need time this is really easy to do and accomplished and it doesn't have to cost a lot if you like to check the links below in the video description I've listed some stuff that can give you a lot of added security for not much money or effort so quit putting it off pick at least one little change one little improvement and do it today alright I'm preaching sorry alright moving there right along number three don't advertise that you're not home to the criminal mind certain behaviors cast a bat-signal over your house that says break into this place stuff like leaving trash cans at the end of the driveway longer than your neighbors do or letting your mail stack up or leaving packages on your porch all of that is a really bad idea lights are another issue because if yet if you leave no lights on inside or outside of your house then you're inviting criminals and if you have many lights on inside they think aha you're not home either because no one sleeps with all their lights on so yeah lights are a difficulty other behaviors like letting your grass get too long or leaving cars in your driveway can also invite criminals if you're going out of town and you usually have a car parked inside the garage consider putting the car in the driveway while you're gone okay last one fourth home security mistake thinking in hardware but not in habits what good is your alarm system if you don't turn it on when you leave the house and when you're going to bed at night what good are locks on your doors if you don't use them what could our security blinds if you keep them open at night and anyone outside the house can see right in sit in the shadows and watch your every move you are inviting trouble so don't do any of that you have to have good habits you have to cultivate a lifestyle of security it's not hard it's just making a tiny change here and there so you and your family never become victims so there you have it guys those are the four worst home security mistakes that you can make go and don't do
