hey everyone in this video I'm going to briefly introduce the iclone live link feature along with data link and time code sync relusions 3D software Works seamlessly and intuitively with Unreal Engine 5. we're going to demonstrate this in just a moment using both the live link and auto setup plugins to learn more about Livelink please visit the landing page in the description you'll find more videos there Under re-illusion courses which will familiarize you more with setup and basic operation please ensure that you have installed both the unreal live link and auto setup plugins before proceeding with this video let's start off by introducing the data link between these two programs this allows you to transfer mesh data to iclone to use as a reference for positioning for example we can transfer the terrain in our unreal project here to iclone by right-clicking it in the outliner and choosing transfer to iclone this gives us a consistent terrain to work with between both programs you can also easily transfer multiple meshes the same way allowing for more precise positioning of props and characters in the environment this also allows you to use the motion director tool in iclone to navigate and control your characters in real time in both programs motion director can now adapt your character's position to the terrain allowing you to explore with more accurate foot placement icon also has a reach Target tool that allows you to easily generate more precise interactive animations with props and other items in your scene utilizing humanik for realistic movements data link also allows you to send nearly everything from iclone to Unreal including characters props cameras lights and animations iclone has a whole arsenal of intuitive and efficient motion editing tools that you can utilize including simple motion clip blending which I'm doing here once you've finished editing you can easily send your motion directly to Unreal where it will be baked as an animation asset this means that you can utilize not only iclone's motion editing tools but also its huge library of embedded motions as well the same can be done with props and their animations this helicopter prop along with its embedded motions can be transferred from iclone to Unreal in a snap allowing you to easily make it part of your cinematic cut scene in addition to regular character and prop animations you can now also transfer over morph animations and preview them in real time in unreal the auto setup is another important part of this Pipeline and takes care of all the material and Shader settings automatically not only that but most of the physics effects will transfer over as well although due to the difference in physics engines some minor tweaking may be needed take a look at the specific tutorials to find out more lastly there is live link and time code sync once you've transferred any static objects over to Unreal you can preview with live link and use time code sync to record animations this allows you to record multiple Target objects simultaneously with a consistent frame rate which is excellent news if you use both iclone and unreal in your production pipeline this works for prop animations as well as character animations as you can see this one being recorded frame by frame basically the refined workflow pipeline between iclone and unreal allows you to transfer Target objects directly apply and edit motions in real time between both programs and capture it all with full frame recording not to mention it can all be previewed flawlessly without additional processing using live link this allows for a more efficient and intuitive workflow that is intended to reduce your production Time by utilizing iclone's powerful motion tools along with unreal's exceptional visuals and production environment finally you're also able to export subdivided meshes from iclone as well depending on the requirements of your project the subdivision levels can all be determined upon export models that require close-ups can utilize this to ensure that their mesh features look smooth and Flawless while also maintaining a less resource intensive iteration of the same model for more distant shots be sure to check out all the tutorial videos and more to learn more about how the unreal live Link in Auto setup plugins for iclone can help to release the full potential of your production workflow and enable your creative prowess thanks for watching I'll see you in the next video
