hello guys and welcome back to our car modeling tutorial and in this episode here is just going to be a quick one upload the video to youtube part 7 recently and I had comment below asking and yes and it would be possible to do a quick tutorial showcasing the one side of the car here as I skipped over in the interest of time in the actual tutorial so what we have here with us today is our model sided stem just now as you guys will see in Kumiko so through all the episodes are very good so far and what we'll do in this episode here is we will create the kind of super simple and doing this very fast forward the you elements of it but I'll explain everything as I go along so you not to make this inside here it's a super simple first thing we'll do is we will drag in a choose PDF a cylinder and we'll position the years now I'm going to need to do with the Hughes gonna want to have have a fair amount of subdivisions in a cylinder here just to make sure it's nice round in the world in peace of this up here to maybe wonderful and then what we want to do is just rotate it I'm not that excess they're rotated up to 90 degrees now in the side view here which is going to pull us into position and what we're going to want to do is we're going to want to working just top off of this now this cylinder here we're not going to focus but before we go through all colleges will just scale it up so it's roughly the size here of our we launch I would just want it to be just a side bigger for much smaller I mother will deal with this now in all of the bottom see now we have our March which is it nicely around all the edges here and what we'll do is which is going to get down vertices option we're just going to grab for me a little bit here fallen down to walk here baby so are now before we do anything we're going to notice that we have our black section here and we have our material placed on the outside so we actually want to flip that around so that we have our material on the inside and the blacks normal them the black section on the outside here so the reason is luckily inside here is because the normals are facing outwards so all the information on how this will look contrition all the way here we want it fist in the way because we're not going to see all these experiences here so what we can do with this option respectful the best year every single one for the smart they're going to go to mesh display I'm going to hit return now we can see that we've got black on the outside here we have a material that that's been an extra one to see so what be the start of our actual then on the side here and what we can do is you can hold X we can drive this section and stretch the center there very good what we'll do here as well as we're going to control D we're going to duplicate this element and we will pull it back here to the rear wheel and we may need to edit this slightly back here just make sure that's fit now we don't want to make the lower section any higher what we're going to have to do is we are going to have to increase the height and the width of the higher elements because we want this to be roughly along the same line as your the section so just grab all of our versa T's here and we can maybe extrude up a little bit just sort of get that height in there there we go is a bit wider here now that looks dry that display maybe want to go a little bit wider as well see that that's going around that outer section nicely there and then just call these vertices in slightly here should we need to okay and now what we'll do is we will ensure that all of these plants are student counts again just to okay so we have a section for the exhaust here which we don't want to affect on this rear section so we will select the face here and we're just going to delete this face there should maybe only the one those as well just make sure that I've got especially exhaust to come through and then we could maybe lower new sections here expense we've got room for the exhaust to go through the back and now what we're going to do is we're just simply going to merge these two together so on the front one here I'm going to grab this edge I'll grab this edge here you control e and we're going to pull this all the way down to match just here let's isolate this selection so we only see what you need and then what we can do is merge the vertices by holding down v yeah have it go now we can have in these two sections we're going to hit besh and combine and that's going to make these two sections into one and then we can select all of these vertices here and merge so they're all one section there treats check looks good so now we've got the majority of that section laid out here that we have this is always over huge we don't want you okay fresh is averted check out those two sections and now merge together and again we can see that we have a normals coming on top and underneath we have the actual section that we do want to be branded and we're not actually going to see this as once we get the car's interior in place which was another request and inside the comments section and we won't actually see any of this black section here kicking about there so on the rear of the car here we're not actually going to see anything past this diffuser so this section here is fine to align exactly as it had gone into the diffuser slightly so we'll never see that again which is fine that's going to merge naturally over there into the front however we do need to do a lot of work so we're going to take these from face and edges here and we will hit ctrl e to extrude these out and we'll take this all the way up here to this section and then we will pull these vertices down slightly just so that we don't actually see them coming on the outside there now this car actually has some details inside this section here and so what we actually want to do with this frontal section is we actually do want to have quite a little bit of information about you before we add that information we're going to need to add a few edgemon so maybe both the two here and one here one for we're down here and now what we can do is smooth this edge off just a little bit [Music] okay so we see that we're starting to come out from this underneath you know we don't actually want to put these up because there is some definition to you okay so what we're going to do with this front section is at the front we will take all of these edges here maybe notice on the sentence here when I hit ctrl e is a whole host of edges you've got one I'm going to hit control e and we're just going to pull this up into the underside section there now we don't want it to be too dint you may need to adjust inside just want to make sure we've got a little bit of a lip here because we do have some elements inside here that we do need to see I'll do is I'm going to insert two more edge loops here here again just to help out okay bit cheesy okay so on the actual car itself we do have a section here which is going to come round in the area that I've marked so I'm going to insert an edge loop find it around this edge here and also along this edge here you it sounds looks pretty good now on the actual car this section here actually extrudes down so what we want to do here is we want to fold this pipe down just like that one and then we want to dilute the fish here and also we have faces here it's also actually down there and then we also have to add a few faces to this section also okay let's do that okay and we're not going to smooth this out because the only material that we're going to end up applying to this is generally going to be something dark anyway and the majority is going to be under the castle we're not going to see but we find that just like that and then what we can do is we can control the control G what we'll do is we'll get special Springs here is just roughly for now obviously that's making it now nice cute under there and what we could do as well is we could measure you see together so we need to do anything else to this we're going to edit mesh' going to combine just like we did before and then just select all of the vertices running down the middle section here and we can merge yeah okay guys so hopefully that will help you out and we will be back with the regular series in the next episode
