[Applause] [Music] hey everybody it's karen from waterfall clicks how you doing uh i am re-filming my intro just so i can tell you guys what to expect because i am leaving in um a big fail so if you're not interested in fail and just want to get to the good stuff you might want to skip ahead 15 minutes um without giving everything away i had bought a brand new can of glitten premium uh satin house paint right off the shelf didn't have it mixed came home decanted it went to use it and disaster struck you'll see why for reals and the only thing i can think of is that somebody went to buy that can and took it up to the counter and had it mixed and then changed their mind and put it back on the shelf and then i picked it up and bought it big disaster and the final results i've never had a fluid art piece make me work for it as hard as this painting did you'll see why when i get you down ah yeah enough of this suspense hold on okay let's use some bright happy colors today do something a little more summery deconstructed bloom i still have a love-hate relationship with the one from the last video i just don't know what like some days i walk by and i'm like oh i love it and then other times i'm like yeah it's not my style uh let's go up in this corner so this first color i know it looks like my favorite kern acronym nicolaso gold but it is not that is transparent red iron oxide i'm using all golden fluid acrylics today no pigments only because i was super low on varnish to like pre-wet them and disperse them and all that good stuff so and honestly this is just easier so you know you squirt some in give it a mix and you're good to go this is i think naphthol red light oh that yellow was um my favorite yellow my benzomidazolam yellow medium next up we have oh what is this a manganese blue hue it's a pretty blue i don't know why i don't use this more often that one and then finally my other favorite teal i don't know about this color combo we'll see and i'm going to do a double stack so smaller amounts but i'm going to double layer this just for the hell of it to see if i i can get some peacock cells that's the cells within cells and this will be a big bloom one two three four five okay cell activator is oxide black amsterdam colors pouring medium recipes links discount codes my amazon shop my facebook page my fluid art addicts group i run with chennil all of that is in the description section go check it out and hold on bye giant bubble i'm kind of surprised i have all these bubbles because i mix these a couple hours ago all right better here we go i'll give that a blow out wish me luck cool air high fan or medium low fan sorry looking [Music] [Applause] [Music] wow pretty vibrant um mix i'm worried that this is gonna give me troubles hold on i gotta blow that up i gotta blow that part out [Music] put a little color in there wow that is happy i already see where i'm gonna stick my finger there's like a line of black i'm gonna remove it i know it let's put one here let's do the other one down here remember my order or maybe up a little bit more so iron oxide benzema dies alone hello hi honey oh i love the painting thank you it's pretty it's not done yet are you going outside honeybun okay 6 30 okay okay okay bye honey we're gonna double it up again double your pleasure double your fun whoa almost dropped the cup that would not have been good a lot this is quite the uh puddle right here all right cell activator give it another go ready see i love that i'm kind of worried about the dark parts [Applause] [Music] hmm [Music] so i'm liking how this one looks more than this one i think i'm gonna blow this into there a little bit listen to that you know what i mean [Music] [Music] i'm getting a ton of speckles and i don't understand why because my house paint has been sitting now for the last two days it is the glidden premium and i'm seeing a lot of flocculation which is making me grumpy let me i was worried about that one part but it seems to have sunk so much that i really can't get to it but i'm going to stick my finger definitely in here and here oh my god there's a ton of paint there this looks so pretty and it's not going to look anything like this because there's just a ton of paint that i have to tilt off a ton you have a little more cell activator removal a little surgical precision one more something like that where else is it bugging me anywhere else all right uh i've got my spoon hold on let me wipe off my spoon because i've got the pointy corners of this convexo canvas again so i'm just gonna throw i think there's plenty of paint on here i just want to do these pointy corners kind of give me grief every time man i'm uh i'm kind of grooving on this color combo that i even though i'm gonna wreck this one i kind of feel like i need to do these colors and do a bloom and spin it out right after my house paint settles down and i don't have bubbles one more in this corner use up this paint that's on my tarp there one more over here all right let me stare at the middle of this this part here let's do this first let's do some more finger painting and just have those marry up there oh my gosh the speckles that's gonna bum me out that's a lot of dots that have to stand there with your skewer and dunk them all in here let's have all this meet up i don't mind the white right there and let's do something what i do with my skewer i'm not gonna make curly cues or anything i'm just gonna kind of pull this up a little like that all right all those little details i like to look at before i even do anything let's just go up this corner ever so slightly i might do these two corners first and then work my way i'd like to stretch some of this i'm loving the top of this i don't really want to mess with it i'm gonna have to you know it but a girl can dream so yeah i'm gonna lose it you know you're gonna lose it save some of it yeah and come up this other end it's really hard to escape the bikini corners on this type of canvas i'm just staring now i got a bunch of black hold on let me stop and stare already like this is super pretty but like running down here is it's black um from the cell activator and i start to tilt the other way it is going to be much more prominent oh my god the speckles oh you guys i have a really bad case of the measles here super bad let me finish the painting oh my god they're everywhere i don't know if they're conveying on camera i'm so bummed out already so bummed out um all right let me come down to this corner down here hopefully that black won't travel now come off here bring it back go off the other corner and save a little bit of the blue come back blue oh my gosh it's terrible this would have been an amazing painting y'all it would have been amazing the colors the drama and it is um it's like ruined hold on a second i just want to soften this up i'm like still ignoring it um this black part i don't like that's better shoot this is a um it's a new can i mean it's been open four or five days i did not have it i bought it right off the shelf at home depot i did not have it um mixed or stirred or anything and i just hand stirred it when i opened it but i'm telling you it is so so bubbly i'm wondering if like someone had it mixed and then they put it back on the shelf because it's just it's this painting is ruined um i'm going to carry on i'm going to post this anyway i think and then end up scraping this and i don't know i'm gonna take off the blue i decided i didn't don't like it a little bit i'm just gonna have these colors run straight across i feel like i can dork around because i'm not going to keep this painting anyway so i might as well practice with composition and i'm gonna take it all back the other way and take off the white too get off wait i'm so bummed out i don't like this whole thing what if i just blow dry the whole damn thing hold on one second oh no i have a paper towel i'm gonna wipe off my fingers i'm just so bummed out let me uh let me hold it up to you guys you can see what i'm talking about because they're just even though i just wiped off my fingers they are everywhere see all those white speckles the whole thing is covered in those speckles all i know is i'm in love with the colors i actually love the whole bottom part of this canvas it's all very dreamy southwestern oh my gosh i hit it with the hair dryer oh my gosh someone definitely had this can of paint um mixed oh look i'm gonna post this video just so you guys can see what it is what happens if you get the paint mixed do you see all those like i just barely touched it with the hair dryer to blow this out and it just went boom i can only imagine what would happen if i used a torch oh my gosh it's so awful i just wasted like two cups of paint plus all the colors plus the pouring medium i hate that i'm going to take this across some more maybe come back bear with me a second this is like the painting that could have been and i'm almost done because now i got a wind sweat thing going on oh yeah see love the middle now love the middle love the bottom got the sh sound effects um i really want to say some some naughty curse words i really do i'm gonna um get you guys down this is a total flocculation fail or bubble fail it's just a hot mess but i think it'll be worthwhile for you guys to see it so obviously i'm going to scrape this but let me get you down for a close-up and i'll post it and go again okay so maybe up high from a distance like really far away you might not notice um the speckles but oh my gosh they're awful look at this just i mean there in this area here that i blew out again um there are none which means i might scrape this and try to reuse the paint because i hate wasting paint um but that that's just a freaking hot mess holy holy you guys it just really is um that's a goner i feel like i overdid the stretching anyway because i was mad and just goofing off so let me scrape it and we'll see if we can reuse the paint yep hold on okay guys so flip the paint over as gently as i could i had to add a little more because obviously i tilted some off and i did the one thing you should not do which is torch house paint because it burns super fast super easy um and it can create a skin but i felt like i had no other choice so just kind of i'm just going to show you what it did just like this super fast i don't really see any more popping or anything so this will either be genius or stupidity we'll find out so let's just roll again and um see what happens see if i remember my order if worse comes to worse i'll just post well if you if you're hearing this this means it was a success otherwise i was going to say i'll just post the first part just just to show you why you don't get house paint mixed so let's see if we can save it all right oh gosh here it goes i'm like staring at it like do i see any minuscule bubbles i actually do i just want to see what happens if i torch around this all right cell activator let's blow it out oh boy [Music] i'm watching it i'm watching it so far so good so far so good or even if it gets a little bit you know i can always sit here with my skewer i don't you know relish the thought of doing that there was no way i could have done it before but a couple i can handle i'm gonna start making these messy so i don't know why i didn't do that to begin with better late than never since we're gonna deconstruct it anyway if anything i guess the bright side is i know wrong color i know i like the color combo and i like the order so at least there's that all right good enough blowout number two so far so good good grief cool air looking [Applause] [Music] so [Music] [Music] i see a bit of the speckles in here and here on the edge we'll give it a second well tilting it out is going to be the real story for sure and we're just going to use leftover paint on these corners because there's a ton of it now it's making me sad another corner those colors i just i'm in love with the colors right i just think they're beautiful beautiful color combo um it's so funny is i did the messy um puddle kind of like toward the end for this one and i really didn't get the peacock cells no cell within a cell but on one i was all organized i got red cells inside blue cells or teal cells on that one but i'm like pausing because i'm chicken i'm scared i'm scared ugh right let's take this petal off of here this part here and then we'll go over there oh my gosh speckles be damned just squish this one squish off you go most of you just come up here i'm putting the weight of the paint at the bottom of the canvas so that i can come over to this side first a little more good those damn corners let's get rid of these long stringy things i see speckles damn it i do and oh my gosh i think i'm in love with this painting too let me stop and stare well we know not to blow on it you can't torch it anymore i'm ignoring the speckles and just staring at the composition let me wipe off my fingers it's gonna be a long video oh wow that's how it goes sometimes um it's so pretty this might this might be one of my best color combos for sure and if it doesn't speckle up anymore i think i can live with some and fix some like the ones that are in the light area they look like little cells they don't bother me as much and it's nowhere near as bad as the last iteration so we're going to ignore them for now and just stare at this composition i'm gonna grab another skewer and what did i want to do i wanted to break up this line that's breaking up this line right here i just want to dork around with this a little bit and let me see how much paint is stored in here too so i stick this like right in the middle not bad there okay i'm gonna take off a little more of this darker area now i feel like a schoolteacher with my pointer so class i'm going to remove some of this here so swing off that way a little bit try not to lose this and then just bring it back this way again i'm loving the top i really don't want to change the thing i wish this line i'm torn like it kind of dies off but i think if it went all the way across it would like break up the painting too much so it's probably a good thing that it died off there so let me go that way for a second i'm like so determined to get a painting it is so determined like i shall have a successful pour today i shall yeah and take off a little more paint get it off black stuff yeah you're gone there you go good good good and gotta wait a second because of this the convexo sides i'm gonna go just a little more and let it roll before i can go the other way let it roll off the sides every time i tilt i get a few more speckles let me go this way now well that was a good call tilting in that direction and then let me just bring things back kind of center it i don't want it too centered let me stop right there maybe let me stare at this because it is gorgeous i'm going to oh do i have to come down are you going to fall off the edge hold on i might have to go down it looks like there's i don't know if that's an optical illusion where's my pointer it looks like is that thick paint or is that just the edge of the canvas oh that's just the edge of the canvas it looked like the paint was sitting right on the flat part like waiting to dive off um but it's not it's an illusion i freaking love this painting i am going to do everything in my willpower to save it um i'm checking my corners i need paint on two of them the rest look good let me um clean up a second okay i'm cleaned up and back i do think i can save this it just means um me standing here obviously i'm not going to do the whole painting in front of you with the blunt end of my little stick and just dunk it into the paint lift up slow and gentle and straight up and just dunk the little dot of house paint back there are some areas where where it happened um that it doesn't bother me at all particularly like in the watercolor areas where it's really pale they actually look kind of natural but in the areas where it's bright and bold and has a ton of cells and lacing those ones definitely um your eye just goes to them and they don't look nice they just don't like this big guy here maybe can go and so that's all i'm gonna do um for probably the next half an hour and then i'll get you guys down for a close-up i adore this painting though love it really happy with it be right back okay guys i'm back excuse the mess i didn't want to move it i'm too petrified that more bubbles will pop up so i just spent the last half hour um popping bubbles i'm not done yet and i want to say i stopped counting after 95. so i'll at a ways to go that said i've been concentrating on the ones like they really show up well on camera like i still need to do the bottom part here um i have done most of the ones in there so you really don't see any i gotta say if i can't see it from like two feet away i'm not gonna sweat it um it's the ones that are really obvious because obviously when you get up really really close you're gonna see them right um but look you do that and like you're not going to notice them particularly under resin they'll be gone i'm also not going to worry about the speckles in the really pale areas like on the edges here um or in the blue i just think that's part of the painting i'll probably hit the ones up there in that red section this is what it looks like it is so oh i got a big shadow of me there it is so so pretty i'm gonna try my best to save it i'll report back in a day or two whether or not it's been scraped or show you the um the dried result but like let's let's forget about the speckles and just concentrate on some of the pretty areas like the little horsey right there or dog looks like a horse to me without a tail do you see it that makes me smile and the blending of the colors i'm really really happy with this palette super pretty very very very dramatic it to me it looks like some sort of seascape here with the line and then like an explosion of the sun in the sky or something really really cool anyway that's it for right now uh see you in a sec hey guys i'm back with the dried results of this piece i must have spent an hour and a half popping bubbles and then i put it under cover to dry and the sucker cracked i almost said the other word here it is the parts were cracked i went in with my golden fluid and a paintbrush and touched them up so really hard to see under resin you won't be able to and man i think i did a hell of a good job getting rid of almost every single speckle just forever um i'm not totally happy with how it dried because it dried a little bit darker um but and so i don't like the dark corner i don't know why although it does complement the light corner um and it certainly is quite the dramatic piece i had it's prepped up against my kitchen cabinet and when people walk in into our kitchen it really like wow look at that painting it really catches your eyes so it does have the drama um and i do adore the composition uh so much so with these colors too that i put on my lucky octopus t-shirt and i'm about to paint again on another 16 by 20 convexo canvas bottom in bulks i got a bunch and uh give this a go again so i'll see you guys in the next video i think i'm hitting 62 000 subscribers so welcome new folks thanks for tuning in thanks to everybody for putting up with me um i'll try my best to provide quality instructional art videos best i can do and uh you know have a good time doing it so i'll see you guys in the next video you all take care peace out you
