3000HP Twin Turbo Dodge Viper Runs Fastest 1/4 Mile Ever (TX2K24 Day 1 + 2)

welcome to Texas 2K 2024 we're here with Peter the founder of Texas 2K what is Texas 2K and what are we expecting this weekend so in short it is the largest gathering of the fastest street cars in the world started it 25 years ago and it's morphed into this craziness that we have here so we've got two parts to the event the first is drag racing which that's pretty self-explanatory and the second is what's going on behind me now which is the roll race event we're essentially simulating a street race in a controlled safe environment on a sticky track where these cars can put 3,000 horsepower down to the [Music] ground look at that broken axle you can see the rear wheel is sideways right now picked up almost 9/10 of a second over their first shot that will move cley on the here he down here he goes [Music] 86 goes 8 on the brakes [Music] here we go big boys running against each [Music] other this is my boy boy Rico and his 1600 wheel horsepower Huracan performante what can you tell me about this thing um it is the perfect daily well you guys I'm I'm a big McLaren fan so McLaren please let me keep my uh my my P2 allocation I didn't mean it but no for real it's it's like the perfect daily if you want something wild I did have a twin turbo R8 as you guys saw on my channel obviously that did not go the way that I wanted you guys probably saw that crash all over Instagram but this in all honesty building it in-house you know at my shop is turkey we we did everything that I could have possibly wanted minus the built motor we wanted something that was going to be reliable so we went did a fully built Transit AMS stage5 plus it's the same transit in Drago you know it's Alpha 12 kit you know turned up E85 motch all the trimming guys all the trimming and it's super reliable I drove it all the way from Philly to Jacksonville that's actually ridiculous so he just let me drive this thing filmed the point of view drive I'm not sure if that video is already live or if it's going out after this but if it's live I'll link it down in the description below absolutely ridiculously fast he's racing it today good luck we'll see how it goes yeah we'll [Music] see 214 damn so that was Jordan Martin in the Dodge Viper I actually went in his GTR like 8 years ago that thing was 1200 wheel it was the craziest car I'd ever been in 8 years ago and now he's in a 2,000 horsepower plus VI here we go guys this is the world's fastest GTR about to make a qualifying pass I'm so excited to see this over 3,000 horsepower let's see if it can be 2 37.5 look at this guy's license plate and look who he's racing that's actually incredible [Music] wow I'd say that license plate is extremely Justified because that GTR just almost reset the world record on his first pass ever in that car with the new setup at 236 mph and it's just practice right now 1 76 there you go qualifier so the boosted Billy GTR just ran a 225 in qualifying but a 236 in practice and according to him with the 236 his 6130 was slow at 2.2 seconds it's definitely capable of 240 and I'm excited to see if he sets a world record wow look at this GT3 [Music] RS look at this a Supra towing a smart car when have you ever seen fastest sck shift car in the world 699 at 2 but the amazing part about Texas 2K is that not only do we have awesome racing during the day we also have some absolutely insane Meats at night time so we're at of bies around the corner there about 100 cars we actually took my friend set's model X all the way from Los Angeles to Dallas what were we thinking dude I don't know but we did it I wonder if we can get this thing to roll race there's no way this is a gas station this bies is actually so ridiculous it's got a bakery in it couple of McLarens pulled up to the gas station we got a McLaren GT 720s G80 the cops are out in full force a lot of American Muscle Cars pulling up to the gas station as well crazy Tire on that C7 damn look at the tire on this widebody Hellcat as well that's fat Camaro chopping like crazy look at that sign exit exhaust 720s with a sick carbon wing and some meat on that rear tire this thing's probably fast no way Hellcat convertible that is crazy what this is the most Texas car I've seen yet everything's pulling up tonight some GTR is pulling through that's a good license plate Supra pulling through that think is clean clean E6 3 there's more than 218 pumps at this gas [Music] station
