3 things you need to know about Eula's stacks | Genshin Impact

you know how her normal attack we have that five hit combo sequence and the third and the fifth hit have double hits and i was i mean you guys were asking i also i wanted to know if both these hits count as either one layer for her elemental burst right here the lightfall sword is gonna give one stack right normal attack so is it when you when she swings that one swing even though it hits twice is it going to give two stacks or is it just going to be one i also wanted to know if you hold her elemental skill remember when you have two stacks right here of her grim heart i want to see if all the damage are going to give her stacks um and i wanted to talk about her passives things like that just wanted to clear things up i'll go yeah i'll just go slowly so it's not too confusing i'll clear it up and at the end i'll give you a tldr a conclusion basically most of the things are working as intended i just wanted to double check anyways just just bear with me here um i'm using a very simple cheap editing software just to show you guys some of the frames so let me let me show you guys your elemental burst all right don't worry about the damage um yeah just bear with me here so this is your element to burst it's awesome it looks beautiful now the question is the first question is does it start remember her elemental burst lasts seven seconds and then the light falls sword it detonates after seven seconds so just to clear it up right here duration seven seconds does it start with her animation or after her animation let's check it out together i mean i already know the answer but um as you see i'm gonna go frame by frame and right before right there you don't see her sword just yet but right when you see eula again you see that twinkle right there that's when the sword appears the light falls sword so what does that mean right there you see the little twinkle after that the light falls sword i know this is really nerdy but you guys asked so yeah i did this yesterday um this isn't after i don't know if anybody else did the breakdown but this was me on the 19th 3 a.m 4 00 a.m and right now it is 10 p.m on the 19th in asia in korea so yeah i did it right after her release or a couple hours afterwards so right after her animation ends and you're able to do your attacks normal attacks there you go you see my first normal attack being launched so the seven seconds starts right after her elemental burst animation ends i'm gonna show you guys once again the full seven seconds okay but i just wanted to clear that up you see the sword and after that you have seven entire seconds to get as many layers as possible so i hope that cleared it up another thing that i want to clear up is if you have any energy particles in the air when she's using her element to burst it just gets cancelled it disappears so you'll always see her energy starting at zero so not to confuse you guys the first test was to see if we get seven seconds or if we get five seconds and we get the full seven seconds all right the next thing that you guys were asking and the next thing that i wanted to see were her normal attacks so one hit two hits three four and five is that gonna be five layers or the double hits are they going to give additional layers so it's gonna be five or seven we can test that out as well we're gonna keep the conditions same guys so we're gonna keep the conditions same you see the attack buff you see the shield so the minus physical resistance we're gonna have all of that we're gonna go in and we're gonna use our elemental burst here it is we're not going to use our elemental skill we're not going to lower anything else we're going to keep the conditions same all right so this is her first normal attack swing boom you see the damage and then the second hits you see how i'm cancelling it so that the third hit will not be a double hit and then the third hit so there's the little cancel i'm going to do five swings so it doesn't matter how perfectly i do it as long as i fit in five individual swings before the sword the lightfall sword detonates that is the fourth hit right there and then the last one we're gonna fit it you see the weapon proc so the weapon proc will be up for the elemental burst damage we still have the shield we still have the attack buff right there the up arrows and we just got the weapon proc so when the lightfall sword detonates we're going to have all of that i want to keep everything the same and then the final fifth hits right there you saw that the final whoa that's the yeah that's the detonation let's go back a little bit so you see that 3933 that was the fifth hits and then we get the final explosion which crits with all the buffs that i explained nine thousand ninety nine thousand eight hundred and thirty now what if we did the five hit sequence without breaking it apart we're gonna do the full sequence here so we're gonna get the double hits on the third and the fifth hits so let's see if they give extra layers all right let me zoom in here we're gonna go really slow so let me see the conditions where i keep the same we have the pillar next to the boss we are shielded we have the attack buff here we go we're casting that beautiful elemental burst get the sword out well that went really quick she's screaming at the top of her lungs now we're not going to use the elemental skill we're not going to do any press or holds here is the normal attack sequence first hit second hit and then the third the double tap and then the fourth boom 4500 and then the fifth double tap pop-pop and then we're gonna stop and see how much damage we're gonna do with the five-hit sequence without canceling the animations boom right there so same buffs we have the attack buff coming from john lee's shield we have the jungle shield as well as the weapon so basically same conditions but we're doing more damage why is that because once again from the test the double hits are giving extra layers for the lightfall sword and you may be thinking isn't that kind of obvious but hey you gotta test it out just to make sure okay because some people are doing animation canceling is that beneficial we'll discuss that afterwards a little bit later but yeah that was the second test so tld are the conclusions the second test the double hits at the third and the fifth hit they give extra layers so each tick of damage coming from a normal attack sequence give a layer so in total one two three four five six seven now the third test is kind of like the normal attack test the third test is about her elemental skill so when you consume two stacks of grim heart by holding your elemental skill right there you're going to get an extra damage coming from shattered lightfall sword well we created that will explode immediately dealing 50 so it's an extra damage coming from her passive does that give an extra layer right here does that give an extra layer and right here when you use her elemental burst glacial elimination the cooldown of her elemental skill is reset and she gains one stack of grim heart all right so let me unconfuse you guys what i'm going to test is one stack versus two stacks of elemental skill all right when i use the hold when i hold it down and when i go in with one stack versus two stacks what gives more layers okay so same conditions ladies and gents we are shielded by jungle there's a pillar nearby giving us the attack boost and you see the double sword so we have two layers of grim heart and here we go i went to burst that's going to give us another one but it can't go to three so basically we have two and then we're gonna use her elemental skill hold right there so you see multiple damage coming in and then we're gonna get that physical damage coming right there from boom this passive right here so we got that 50 physical damage dealt so are they all being turned into layers for the lightfall sword right there that you're seeing okay so let's see the final damage with all same conditions boom we have a crit of 96 795 and i made sure that we do not have the sword buff the attack buff or yeah the attack buff that's important okay so the first one was two now this is going to be one we have john lee putting the pillar down nearby taking damage giving us the attack boost and we have the shield for the physical resistance now eula as you can see above her head there are no blue swords so she has zero stacks but by using her element to burst from her passive we're gonna get one right there we get one stack by using her elemental burst now we're gonna consume that one layer by holding her elemental skill there's that initial damage we're not gonna get the physical damage from the passive because we don't have two layers and we're gonna watch the detonation same conditions no weapon proc and boom 75 000 physical damage so you clearly see the difference between one and two stacks of grim heart and obviously you may be thinking well you want to use yeah you want to consume it when there are two stacks and that is yeah that is correct you never want to just use one layer while that is freaking obvious what is interesting is the additional damage right the additional damage are giving additional stacks as you have just seen now this test is all for c zero euless all right constellation two changes things a little bit as well as having the weapon the new weapon for eula that changes things too because it gives attack speed as well as any other attack speed coming from other characters like for example constellation 2 gene now i'm saying this before the next clip because attack speed does change the attack sequence during her elemental burst phase you have seven seconds to capitalize so as you can see at the time mark we're at exactly seven minutes at seven minutes remember i said the elemental burst the sword appears right after the animation so we have seven entire seconds up until right there so during the elemental burst phase once again we have seven seconds we have to use the hole for elemental scale because it gives a lot of layers and it does a lot of damage and it also reduces physical resistance so that when her element the burst pops right we're gonna get that physical resistance coming from holding the elemental skill with the two stacks of grim hearts now what about the normal text should i break it up should i do one two three and then cut it cancel it and do one two three again or should i do one two three four five and do another one why do another one that's eight hits right if we even have time for that like you gotta think about like game lag or anything like that so do we break it up into hit one hit two and then pop pop that's four and then one two pop pop again or do we do one two three four five or do i i'm sure there could be like maybe one two three four anyways let me just show you guys what i have seen so i recorded two this is gonna be i don't remember okay this is the sequence two three double hits four and goals behind the back and then the fifth pop pop and then i do another swing to get eight hits now this did take longer than doing one two and then three tap tap and then canceling it going back in one two and third hit tap tap that that was total of eight layers right there this one was eight layers but it took longer so let me put it together as you can see the regular sequence plus one head at the end took longer when i do the one two three cancel and then one two three cancel all right and then we gotta fit in the elemental skill hold not only do we fit it in but the damage needs to tick so that we get the layers for her light fall sword before the seven seconds are up and as you can see we are over time right now what about the just normal convenient way one two three four no canceling five boom boom and then right there if we fit in the elemental skill do we have enough time boom exactly all 654 all right so let me wrap this up for those that are confused all right let's go back elemental burst the lightfall sword appears after the animation and we have entire seven seconds before it detonates right and we're going to get layers we have to build layers to maximize the detonation damage boom one two three four five hit sequence right all of these damage ticks give a layer and the elemental skill you want to always consume it during your elemental burst so that you have the physical resistance lower thingy before the detonation as well as the all the extra damage that comes from elemental skill hold that's going to give extra layers for her life fall sword all right so basically any any extra takes of damage from eula from eula whether it's her normal attack sequence or her elemental skill as well as elemental bursts as well and passives they all add layers okay that was the test hopefully that gives you the basic idea so that you know what to do from here on out now for different attack speed break points i haven't really done it r5 versus r1 the new weapon right whether you have gene or not so there's gonna be different break points for different attack speeds but this is just for those that are free to play they don't have constellation two and they don't have the new weapon okay anyways that's the video hopefully this cleared it up
