yes guys what's going on so I'm going to show you today my absolute goto drill when I'm doing coaching it involves a triangle I'm going to go into a bit more detail now if you want more footage like this head over to the Jonah football app link is below more drills in this section will be posted on [Music] there so guys this is the setup for me I really love the small triang angle drills not the big ones really tight and small there's so many different variations that you can do within this setup today I'm going to do three over on the Jonah football app I'm going to post even more but I want to talk a little bit about the setup as well so I really like to use a pole because it makes it harder but this can easily be done with three objects and because we're blessed to have really good equipment here at Jonah football one of my pet hates as a coach is sometimes when they're passing the ball will hit the cone and pop up in the air just like that and then the drill starts the bubble so rather than using these cones I much prefer changing it to a flat disc so then it allows for consistency just in case the ball runs over that disc when the players come over I'm going to go through three really simple but they they build up in difficulty but it starts off simple I'm going to show you how you can use these little triangle exercises they're so effective and one of my favorite so guys I'm just going to take you through a series of drills just short and sharp get the touch going before you go into kind of like harder combination play with Shane in here it's tight for a reason because I really want you to think about the detail of your touch and your path so the first one causes one shift to the right two now find that Gap touch to the back you'll move middle outside down the back bang so a lot of it is what you've just come from which is footwork big part of this drill is how fast you can move your feet yes it's quality with the ball as well but if you're slow on your feet the drill is going to be slow okay so a bit more Pace COA so one two 3 four five and then repeat on the opposite side so you're just trying to find those gaps touches have got to be very delicate set notice when I'm dropping to the back what am I doing with my pass I'm just dropping it softer so it allows me to get who it allows me to get into that position okay one set two set three good can you two get it zipping can you two get it zipping good fire it move it good co let's go Justin beeps let's play Move It set set keep it tight good moah move it how the passes there Mo come on come on pass Ys where you bounce it angles angles yes touch gray touch white middle outside good remember middle here don't pass over the discs try not to pass over the discs No Passing Over the disc move of obviously I know you just come from speeding agility but when your legs get a bit heavy and tired this the quality goes a little bit one slight variation we're going to bounce move now okay this time instead of just bouncing that one back you're going to shift it back the inside then drop and go so there's just one slight variation so it's a middle set bang we moove it we move we set play yes play Bang set play unlucky play inside inside play Touch good so it's on the outside got movement CA fire that move it oh and set and play got the idea play can we add in a scan as we drop good yes Mo of the drill it gets a bit gassy that's when you got to focus okay third variation we're going to add in a little skill so bounce set this one here we're going to go back to shifting it on the inside again here can we add in a scan we've already been doing that now because this is really important you've got to make sure you play my right foot on this side and left foot on that side so play my right foot here C and I'm going to shift it inside outside just watch what I do with my left foot there again COA watch what I do with my left I get it to this side of the pole shift so I don't want to do this I've got to move this foot one two I then come in I get a bounce and then I drop and I shift across the other side I'm going to keep going slow for you guys so we come in we get a bounce touch across bang check his right shoulder play left foot now coer inside outside bounce set go shift it across repeat bang set bang touch bang shoulders bang set set bang set set bang set set late foot now will good inside outside last one COA good pick your legs up COA it's good it's good it's going to be heavy on the legs get your touches going servers if you're standing in the one spot your lungs oh just want to talk about why this pole makes it a lot harder why' you think rather than having a flat disc at the back why is having a pole there make it a little bit harder you have to work around it guys that's one that's why when you here Shane in the morning you can use your poles because it's harder to get around these and shift your touch hands up if you've played a pass into the weight base and your drill's gone that's why it makes it harder where it's like a flat disc it'll just go over it which is okay but that does make it harder okay last one I might add two bounces here before we go out so we go two bounces one two come out check shoulder I come out and sco go yes touch yes great ball C set great ball Jack great ball Jack shoulders check out a bit go good take that can do there we haven't even added in you know scanning you can do that in in groups of three you can do it in a oneon-one you can do it in two like it's one of my absolute goto as a private trainer
