what's up everyone this is gonna be a video that talks about three tips that I think are essential to playing lucina let's get into it okay so the first topic we're gonna get into is lucina's ledge trap flowchart so generally when it comes to ledge trapping you want to have the mindset of let me try and cover as many options that I can as possible while also being aware of the burst options the opponent can do off ledge so as Lucena I like to run up to the ledge to practically where my down till it reaches and do a mixture of down tilts shielding and neutral earring down tilt pressures opponents by not allowing him to stay on the ledge too long or also get hit and it also covers jumps and leads jumps if timed right shielding covers regular get up attack and regular get up by allowing you to shield grab them jump aerials by shielding and potentially acting out of shield and roll because we can bear or wrap tail out of shield and dancing lid neutral airs cover regular get up super well and can be really good for sled jump aerials to a combination of these moves along with your own awareness on what the opponent can do off ledge is how you should be ledge trapping with Lucena here are some more examples okay so the next topic we're gonna get into is down tilt down smash setups so this is lucina's bread-and-butter reliable co confirm at high percent even if it doesn't kill it's going to put you in a really good position so down tool to run up down smash is guaranteed regardless of teching in place rolling in or rolling away if they do roll away you just have to run a bit further to catch them with the down smash if you have enough time to recognize that your opponent did in tech you can also go for a jab one and you can get an F smash this will only work if they don't tech if they tec roll in and you read it you can also go for an up smash but keep in mind if you just regularly cover their tech in place slash no tech with down smash you will automatically cover their roll in with the second hit of the down smash in doing so so going for this kill setup is super important okay so for our third topic we're gonna talk about out of shield options and dealing with low profile baits now one of the biggest personal struggles I've had to overcome so far in this game is choosing the proper option out of shield the main reason being certain characters may appear to where you can punish them and our aerial might even be fast enough to punish them but they just low-profile our moves instead in response to some of these attacks we have to remember that up be at a shield is really the only option that can punish it because you will miss them if you do any other aerials in these moments okay now here's just some extra tips so when you space the short hop fair and neutral jump back with the fare instead of jumping forward or in place this will allow you to avoid certain attacks and neutral while optimally spacing yourself and covering the area in front of you that you would have had regardless also when you're doing a dancing blade at high percent make sure you do side side downside because that will give you the best odds at connecting the last hit hope you guys enjoyed this little video if you have any questions feel free to ask it in the comment section and if you did find this video helpful I appreciate a like sub and all that good stuff all right okay take care y'all peace [Music]
