3 Bedroom Fifth Wheel?! My New Favorite RV | 2021 Keystone Avalanche 390DS

what's up y'all my name is miles with holiday world of dallas and i couldn't be more excited than i am today we got in this avalanche 390 ds this has basically three bedrooms in it you'll see what i mean when we go inside but it is phenomenal this is by far my favorite fifth wheel this is the first time i've taken a look at it and of all the fifth wheels i've seen in 2021 this one definitely is wearing the crown so let's go take a look at what makes this thing so awesome [Music] all right y'all i'm super excited to show you this fifth wheel like i said it is my new favorite so cannot wait to thing and show you what it's all about all right so this is the 2021 keystone avalanche 390 ds now ds stands for double suite so as you saw from the short video at the beginning you actually have a full size bedroom in the back over here and your bedroom up here plus the loft over top so this is going to be about a 43 foot fifth wheel it's gonna weigh about 14 000 pounds actually you know what let's go look at the number here because i already forgot after i just looked at it but like i said this is my first time seeing this floor plan here so i am seeing it for the first time with y'all and super excited about that but it looks like okay yeah 14 4 on your driveway there so those are gonna be your specs you're gonna have the auto leveling system up front like most keystone or all keystone 5th wheels have you have this hitch vision plate there so you can see yourself backing up to the hitch from your truck it has two awnings outside plus your outdoor speakers and both awnings will have the light strip against the trailer so you get use of your led lights even with your awnings pushed in which i love that that's really nice to have a huge pass-through storage compartment here so you can see this is a 50 inch tv box in here and how much room you still have off to the side of that so really really large pass-through storage that goes through there and then you're gonna have two entrances on this model so you have your entrance here obviously now let's go to the back and you will see look at all the windows you have on the back of this rv it is crazy so you have three windows on that side two more over the top right here plus your back entrance with another solid step there and then if you come over to the other side you're gonna have even more windows on this side so tons of windows that you have on here i love to see that it's i mean gosh i cannot wait to get to the inside and show you guys this it is so freaking cool wanna make sure i've touched on everything that needs to be addressed here on the outside um one thing to note on how they're able to make this floor plan possible when we look at these full profile fifth wheels they have what's called a drop frame construction so when you look underneath the bottom here this frame is dropped down below this point of the rv so they drop that frame down now a lot of full profiles are pretty much all full profile fits we'll do that here on the front end but avalanche to make this floor plan possible did the same on the back as well so they dropped the frame along the back also which gives you the space to have the bedroom and the loft overhead in here and the loft in here is so big i have not seen a bigger loft than what this is right here so let's go inside and show you what it's all about zoom out here so you can get a better view of everything all right so coming inside pretty standard living space that you would expect in a fifth wheel bunk house so much storage that you have going around here you have the wine rack over the fridge has a great sized island what i really like that avalanche does is they offset the sink so you can see when we're looking at the island here the sink is off center which gives you all your countertop space right there and then we'll take these off so you can see what the sinks look like exactly solid surface countertops so these are all stone on here even the covers super heavy actually but you'll have your sinks there all this countertop space off to the side put these back on without breaking my fingers all right so that's that there then you're gonna have designated spot for trash cans all of these drawers here are pretty deep so you see how far back they go there that's going to be all four of those that'll go back that far and then more storage on this side of the kitchen as well definitely does not lack on storage which you cannot say that for all um physical bunk houses i know there are some other ones that i've seen that i will not name that storage is really the one downfall of the floor plan but not on this one you can see with all the storage you have here in the kitchen or on the island and then all the storage you have over here i mean just deep cabinets up here even a little storage spot right here for whatever you want that to be huge space to put your air fryers instant pots keurig machines all that different stuff and then you have even more drawers that open up here basically the same size as the one in the islands and these compartments underneath here so more than enough storage for everything you should need i can't think of any additional storage that you could that they missed out on here you know i don't think they missed out on any opportunity to fill this with as much storage as they possibly could you also have the convection microwave so that will be this uh sorry not a convection microwave this one is not a convection but it is the bigger microwave so it's a residential size residential refrigerator and then of course you have the wine rack up above nice light fixtures and you have a ceiling fan plus in the avalanche the slide outs here are about six foot nine or six foot ten so that's something that gives this avalanche such a huge feel on top of that it is a wide body construction rv so it's a hundred inches wide instead of the standard 96 inches so lots of space in here it definitely feels like a massive fifth wheel and feels very very comfortable and residential you're gonna have the freestanding table with your chairs the two recliners sitting directly across from the fireplace and tv and here's what the view looks like when you're sitting in the recliner so this is the right recliner and this is kind of what your view looks like as you're sitting in this recliner i like that you have this loft space overhead so you can have the kids and stuff up here playing and when i say up here playing i do mean that they actually have enough space to play so that is the coolest thing about this floor plan is you have this loft up here and i don't know the exact height of the loft i'm actually gonna get a tape measure and i will measure it and put it here over the video what the height is but it seems to me that small children probably around the ages of three to five and under would be able to stand up in here and play so that is amazing it is so cool that they have this space here and you can sleep i mean you could probably sleep eight kids up here comfortably with how much space is up here then let me just climb up here and show you just exactly what the view looks like and now keep in mind i'm 6'2 and i can comfortably crawl up here on all fours without my back or head or anything hitting the ceiling so that's how much space this has i mean as a grown adult you can crawl around up here comfortably you don't have to like army crawl or anything like that this is your view from the top have a nice banister there for just added protection and then your step down ladder is right over here so this is probably the coolest part of this fifth wheel is just how much space is in this loft not even the fact that it has the loft but how much space is up here it is definitely a kids clay place heaven i mean you can do so much as a kid with a place like this or a space like this and uh if i were a kid and i saw this i would be freaking out so i'm sure if you bring your kids to come take a look at this fifth wheel they are going to run up here and their imagination is going to run wild with all the things they could do in this space plus look at all of the windows that you have i mean the windows are insane all of them will open so absolutely no problem getting across berries going through here but lots of natural light and it just looks great but let's hop down from here and go into the second bedroom so like we said it's a double suite so it is gonna have the two bedrooms and look at this this is where that drop frame comes into play they drop the frame so you have a step down actually into the bedroom and you will step down into this space here and you have a full-size bed with wardrobe storage so places to store all your clothes and things in here plus the drawers you can put a tv in here as well you will have blackout shades so you can block out all the light and a second full bathroom with a second entrance so they absolutely just killed this space back here and how awesome they set it up it looks great if this were my parents rv and i was going camping with them and they told me that i was staying back here in this room still would not feel anywhere close to camping this is definitely glamping at its finest so this is that second master second suite in here and definitely a lot of space to comfortably put you know a family or anything like that back here that you're camping with then finally let's go up to the pass-through bathroom and master bedroom so you're gonna have the pass-through bathroom that's gonna have a huge medicine cabinet there a good amount of storage off to the side for your linens and things so you will have all that storage of course the storage underneath as well you're gonna have a residential one-piece shower so you have all your cutouts and everything like that for all your soaps and your seat and everything plus you're going to have a porcelain toilet besides your bathroom space like i said dual entrance so it has a sliding door going into the bedroom and you can just walk right into the bathroom from there if you just got out the shower you can walk right into the bedroom to change clothes and everything like that then in the avalanche you're going to have a bench so that's a great spot to be able to put your socks and shoes on and stuff like that all these drawers right here you do have a mount for a tv right here or you can just set it on top of that stand if you want a tv in the bedroom you're gonna have whisper quiet ac in the avalanche as well you have little nightstands next to the beds here so not the biggest things in the world but they are a place where you can store some things they have pockets next to them as well and then you do have outlets underneath the bed because everybody is always wondering where the outlets are but they are underneath the bed on both sides and finally you have your wardrobe back here so it is a wall to wall wardrobe and this is also where your washer dryer hookups will be plus you have two electrical outlets back here for whatever you may think about plugging in back here but spot for a washer dryer can go right here and that is your master bedroom so let's walk back up to the front when you open this door if this door is open it is going to be blocking your hallway so close that back out into here give you one final look around pretty awesome right i mean i'm just blown away before this avalanche came in my favorite fifth wheel was the alpine 3910 rk but this avalanche definitely just took the crown for my favorite fifth wheel this thing is amazing all right that's pretty much it y'all i wanted to come up here in the loft and just show you how much room i have being 6-2 and a grown adult i mean i can sit up almost straight um not quite but i mean you just think about how small kids are and how they could use this space it is i'm just in love with the what they did in this floor plan and what they did with this loft so i wanted to come up here and show you exactly how much space you have anyways like the video subscribe
