2nd Thessalonians 2 7 to 2 17

good day to you god bless you say welcome to the Shepherd's chapel welcome to this family Bible study our time to get back in our father's word second Thessalonians chapter 2 I want you to remember what is the subject of Thessalonians 1 and 2 it's the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ do you ever ask the question wondering what it's going to be like when he returns well that's what this is about he's telling you he's making it very clear and he's putting it in very simple language or by anybody can understand it and we have come to the second chapter of second Thessalonians and this is where he really gets right down where the rubber meets the road he says in verse 1 of chapter 2 I want to talk to you about our gathering back to Jesus Christ I won't tell you how it's gonna be don't you be soon shaken in mind don't let some man deceive you it's not going to happen I repeat not going to happen until after the son of perdition Satan is revealed standing in Jerusalem in the Holy Place claiming to be God claiming to be Christ that's why they call him instead of Christ or Antichrist and he made it very clear that that would happen first so don't you ever let some man confuse you or deceive you into thinking you're gonna fly out of here before this happens I'll repeat again verse 1 of chapter 2 I want to talk to you about our gathering back to Christ he didn't say we're gonna fly away he said first there is the apostasy in the son of perdition Satan revealed in the Holy Place claiming to be God and that was the subject now he's going to go into detail of kind of how it goes down the order of the day Satan's operation you want to know what it's like in the end he's going to tell you listen carefully so we pick it up with chapter 2 2nd thessalonians verse unless let's go with it and it reads for the mystery of iniquity that's to say the lawless one that's already worked he's real busy what's going on only he who now letteth will let until he be taken out of the way now in in the manuscripts here you have the word letteth which is a transitive verb let me explain that if you're not sure a transitive verb means there is not a noun present to make it carry the it is the object is not there so it must transfer back to who was being discussed who is being discussed in verse 4 Satan so then naturally if we have the word letteth that is echo Kath echo in the Greek and it means to hold on to it's a holdfast who and the subject being Satan who's holding on to Satan who's keeping him where he is now don't you ever allow some Reverend to tell you this is talking about the church they're holding Satan the church is undisciplined as it is handling the Greek so recklessly would do nothing and if they were to teach that but deceive people because the Greek the law is very specific in a transitive verb in supplying the object and getting back to the subject Satan and let me ask you a question you know who's holding Satan if you've studied with me any length of time you do and we're gonna go there just so so that you better understand cadet ho which is to say to hold on to Revelation chapter 12 Revelation chapter 12 pick it up with verse 7 and it'll help you with the transitive verb verse 7 reads as this is right at the end okay and there was war in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the dragon that's one of Satan's names just as the son of perdition is and the dragon fought and his angels the whole bunch the fallen angels and Satan fight with Michael and his angels verse 8 and prevailed not Satan never wins he's he's a walking dead man he's already sentenced to death now there was their place found any more in heaven guess where he's going to go when they kick him out of heaven he's the one who lets is Michael Michael's holding him and when Michael's ready and when he's finished holding him and God commands he's leaving heaven guess where that leaves him to come to earth okay verse 9 and the Great Dragon was cast out that old serpent that Satan's name in the garden called the devil and Satan called many names son of perdition Morningstar witch deceived the whole world how much of the world that he deceived the whole world he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him so there you have who letteth will let till he be taken out of the way cast out it's Satan and this is why it very when you take your train stever back to verse 4 where it says who opposes and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped so that he as God that Satan sitteth in the temple of God showing himself that He is God the fourth verse of chapter 2 so it's really very simple if you simply obey the rules of literature you're not going to go wrong a child can understand it and I know I upset some people when I say that but that's that's the gospel truth a child can understand the simplicity of Satan always wanting to be Messiah he can't help himself that's how you got in trouble in the first Earth Age wanting to sit on the mercy seat which is Amos site connotation or but rather than to protect it okay so never I mean you're gonna have some people that are gonna say well it's the Holy Spirit that holds him this that's not what the Bible teaches so are you listening are you gonna listen to some yo-yo-yo-yo is somebody that runs up and down on a string with the word and never produces any documentation don't you ever study God's Word without discipline and without documentation by that I mean you listen to man in his traditions and you will end up deceived do you know what man would probably tell you rather than the fact that there's no way we're going to gather back to Christ until after the son of perdition Satan is booted from heaven and stands in Jerusalem claiming to be Jesus they're probably going to tell you you don't have to worry you're going to be gone you're gonna fly out of here like a butterfly that's not biblical as a matter of fact as we studied in the last lecture of the one before in Ezekiel chapter 13 God said you that so those coverings over my outreach saving arms and try to teach my people to fly to save their souls I'm against it and you know something our Father is that's why he brings forth the simplicity of truth so that any mind can understand whereby they're not deceived in the last hour you want to be real careful my friend because we're in the generation that this is going to happen it will happen in into this generation because this is the generation of the fig tree it's beginning to get it from 1948 it's beginning to get a little gray hair on it so you better wake up the almond tree buds and we're coming to that time so he said this is the this is a mystery to son but it shouldn't be to you okay verse eight back in chapter 2 as we continue and then not until but and then shall that wicked be revealed you're gonna see him on earth whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth what is the spirit of his mass the Holy Spirit that speaks through you in part that's how this that's what consummates the end of this age and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming that is to say the manifestation of Christ at that second Advent which is the subject of the books of Thessalonians to Thessalonica but it is the brightness of Christ coming at the second Advent that puts Satan in the abyss period now many are going to say well let's let's go one more verse here let's go verse nine even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders now some are going to say well I thought you said it was Satan it's one of his names even him whose coming is after the working of Satan you see this is his role as the false Christ the the son of perdition this is his role as the false prophet do you know what happens to those two roles at the beginning of the millennium his one world system and his role as Antichrist is destroyed into the lake of fire at the brightness of Christ's coming now that's pretty simple okay that's pretty easy to understand if you have a working knowledge of the great book of Revelation okay you can read it in the nineteenth chapter of the book of Revelation okay that their kid the the One World system Beast and and the false prophet the Antichrist are cast into the lake of fire meaning what meaning Satan will never be allowed the authority to have those two powers again to utilize against our people at the end of the millennium okay so did you notice when we went to Revelation chapter 12 the old dragon the devil and and on and on the serpent he has many roles that he plays to deceive man and they're all brought forward so that you can understand in Daniel he's the little horn even the vile person in the Book of Daniel only and on it goes and in many books the Morningstar well I thought Christ was the Morningstar he is but Satan is a fake what what does the word Lucifer as we read in the last lecture and Isaiah chapter 14 it means bright and Morning Star he's going to deceive as many people as he can and it's kind of disappointed and when we read in the twelfth chapter and it is also in other chapters that the whole world wondered after him deceived by how can they not be deceived if they don't stick with discipline to the Word of God and listen to a bunch of yo-yos about flying away which is not biblical I don't know we're in it we're in a time that it pays very well for when Paul said here I beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord I want to talk wheeled serious to you don't want you to get mixed up don't want you to be confused so you see it is very important that you be not deceived because you could end up worshiping Satan who comes with all those signs and lying wonders do you understand that as you read the thirteenth chapter of Revelation when you get down to verse 13 he performs miracles in the sight of flesh people then you would think only God could do Napa's fingers and boss comes lightning comes from heaven you know that'd be pretty impressive it a lot of people in this generation I'll go nuts over a rock star chop each other what do you think they're gonna do when he's here claiming to be Christ and they don't know any better they're ignorant basically mean they don't know what the scriptures say that the deception was there and do you know something if they want to believe the lie God will let them and that's not God's fault that's the people who choose to believe the lies that's their fault because God sent them this letter of clarity of simplicity of understanding of honesty swearing God is not the author of confusion but a peace that you should understand with a peaceful mind the chronological order of events that consummate the end of this age how are you doing for in does this read anything like you've been taught then let me ask you which are you going to believe the Word of God are some traditions hmm you want to think about it real good God is judge and he goes by this book let's go with the next verse please verse 10 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish you don't want to perish do you because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved it's real simple and again think back to Ezekiel 13 where you said you saw those pillows beginning with verse 18 they saw those pillowcases over my outreach saving arms and teach them to fly to save their souls and I hate it I'm against it it should wake you up should ring your bell God knows if somebody wants to be deceived he'll let them you know and and can you blame him if he died on the cross for you and prevented salvation to you and you won't listen after he paid such an awesome price and you won't listen to his intelligence telling you how to be happy in these flesh bodies how to find peace of mind here how to be successful how to discipline yourself and the word discipline comes the disciple that means to discipline yourself in God's Word and learn to listen to your father instead of some yo-yo okay and I don't mean that to insult anybody but it is insulting if you listen to some yo-yo to Almighty God when he himself caused this letter to be brought forth with such clarity again that a child can understand when when the greek and everything is put in perspective if you know most people can follow a subject most people know whether an object is present or not what must be supplied and no one can argue with what was taught about that seventh verse it's very important many might say well why would God confuse it he didn't man does man confuses the word let's go with the next verse please verse 11 and for this cause and for this this is the reason for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie you don't think God will do it you know what I can't I can't help it I want to go back you're not going to have it but I want to go back real quick to Isaiah chapter 29 here real quickly 39 29 verse 9 state yourselves and wonder cry out and cry they are drunken but not with wine they stagger but or but not with strong drink they're stupefied for the Lord have poured out upon them the spirit of deep sleep they don't want to learn the truth he'll help you he'll send strong delusion and have closed your eyes the prophets and your rulers the seers that your prophets have he covered with what slumber stupor and the vision of all is becoming to you as the words of a book that is sealed which men delivered to one that has learned saying read this I pray thee and he says I cannot for it is sealed isn't it amazing they do this about the book of Revelation and the very word revelation apostasy or the apocalypse whatever language you want to say it in it means to uncover or to make no one and the idiots say it's sealed it shows you why as in Romans chapter 11 God sent the spirit of slumber do you know what this word slumber is in the Greek it isn't to a it's a form of stupor but he makes it very clear it's a prickling sensation as if your arm goes to sleep okay that kind of sleep and you tell your arm to come up and it goes down you can't quite control it that's what happens to your mind when he sends that spirit of slumber it's a prickling sensation in the mind you can't they just can't get it is it for their own safety well in all fairness at times it is so they're not accountable but if you want the strong delusion it's there through the traditions of men okay just like I said do you understand just stop and think for a moment back in that seventh verse instead of looking at the rules of literature they say because they're in ignorance they say well it's the Holy Spirit no it's talking about the church there's no article they're not in the subject are you gonna allow them to stick it in there lie to you that's exactly what they're doing if God has a subject he'll let you know okay do you let you know what he's talking about therefore the transitive verb he's talking about Satan by whatever name he goes that you're not deceived it's very important beloved people listen don't let someone lead you down primrose lane all right the deception is out there and if you want to listen to it God will help you out he'll let you have all of it you want lies after lies after lies it's you know you might find it on a lot of channels and a lot of churches that's where Satan likes to work best is from pulpits he gets a lot more people can deceived that way verse 12 to continue that they all might be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness I mean they like to have the pleasure of a wedding out of season they want to hop in the sack was Lucifer because he's having a wedding also okay he's coming first to stay that's what this chapter is about don't let him an deceive you about our gathering back to Christ it cannot in any way happen until after the tribulation of the Antichrist as he stands in Jerusalem claiming to be Christ well I've never heard my church teach that then you're you're in a lot of a heap of hurt my friend because they haven't taught you the Bible they haven't taught you the Word of God and it is God's Word that counts not man's not this man's or any other man's it's a Word of God that gives you knowledge and understanding in the simplicity in which Christ brought it forth don't have pleasure in unrighteousness and take this safety little safety blanket that I don't hate you week that I'm gonna fly away well can you tell me which part of the gospel armor that is the standard that what part of it is a jetpack that hops you out of here or some kind of sail wings or it's not part of it is to stand against the fiery darts of Satan when he appears in Jerusalem I don't know are you equipped or not don't have pleasure in unrighteousness meaning lies that that turns from right verse 13 but we are bound to give thanks always to God for you brethren beloved of the Lord because God hath from the beginning chosen you that's destiny some of you have years to hear chosen you to salvation through sanctification that's to say by being set apart that's what sanctification means of the Spirit and belief of the truth do you love the truth the truth will set you free the truth will give you the trust the correct path in Christ is that path verse 14 we're in - he called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ there's there is no other way well his name is Jesus well what is that in the Hebrew Yeshua but just to say yah they that's almighty God's Savior you know if God is doing the saving where would you want to go how could you be so confused you would want to go somewhere else well how do we know that this letter is from God because it comes to pass exactly as it's written undeniably so a person that would doubt this letter has not kept up with current events or history even from the Old Testament because the Old Testament verifies what this book teaches just like we learned Antichrist standing in the Holy Place claiming to be God Isaiah 14 says the same thing Lucifer you fall into the earth and you sit on the side of the north we're God's altar is claiming to be God putting yourself above all that is called God the Old Testament taught it this isn't the first time so you see blindness can happen in part if you're not careful by closing your spiritual eyes and opening your flesh eyes and listening to traditions of men right down primrose lane sometimes they can make it sound so easy just all you gotta do is believe you got to know what you're believing in or you might end up in the sack with Satan you may not like that analogy but that's what it amounts to it's that serious verse 15 therefore brethren stand fast do you know how to do that do you know how to stand for something or you just are wimp that goes along with the flow stand fast and hold the tradition which you have been taught taught by who by the word whether by word or by epistle you hang on to it don't you turn loose of it don't you let some man rob you of it it's going to happen exactly as it's written why our fathers in control he will not lie to you he cannot lie to you and he has given us instructions how to cruise right on through and not only cruise right on through but be called and chosen and stand against the fake as it is written the whole purpose of a Christian is drawing out in Matthew 24 loop there Matthew 24 mark 13 and Luke 21 to stand against not not to fly but to stand for something if you can't stand for something you're good for nothing you know what are what are your principles well I don't have any prayer was enough because you don't make a stand for anything you know well aren't you really something if you never take a stand you know I mean your God wants someone that is familiar with the word is someone that knows the word why because it's his orders it's his plan of the day it's exactly how it's going down and you can believe it he is honest and straightforward and you know something the reason you don't have to be afraid is he gives you the power to accomplish what it is he wants done and you have to believe in him enough to take hold of that power and and be a doer of God's Word let's go with the next verse and verse 16 now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God even our Father which hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation justice a comfort that's what the word means in the Greek comfort what comfort that's what we're talking about the Godhead here the Father the Son and the comforter the Holy Spirit excuse me all in this one verse and good hope through grace that is to say your hope through their love grace okay unmerited favor you may not deserve it but if you believe and if you follow you've got it one more verse that I want to recap just a little bit verse 17 comfort your hearts that peace of mind that is your mind and stablish you in every good word and work it takes the word and it takes the word work whether you have to once you have the word it's ready for you to work okay to believe and to know to know what well to know what this chapter is taught everybody has this question wondering how it's gonna be like in the end this is it you're told these are the events that are brought out in Matthew 24 which brings forth all seven Trump's all seven vials all seven seals put in plain language letting you know how it's going down and how Satan will stand in this holy place how that there is no way on this earth that Christ will return to Christians until after this deed is done Satan has made his footstool all his enemies made his footstool and you have a part of it so let's recap how difficult is it well the first verse lays it out it says now we beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ the second Advent has returned to us and by our gathering together unto Him I want to tell you what it'll be like by us did it say did he say in this you're gonna fly up and meet him in the air no in the last the reason he wrote the second letter is because the first letter confused some people they didn't stick to the subject of where the dead are don't want you to be ignorant like the heathen 1st Thessalonians chapter 4 verse 13 I want you to know that if you believe Christ rose from the dead you better believe that those that are asleep or dead or with him because they have risen also he's gonna bring a lot of him back with him but this is the subject this is how it goes down don't let some spirit some preacher some prophet or some letter deceive you it's not going to happen until after the great apostasy that is to say one giving up their professed belief instantly in other words if you're worshiping Jesus Christ and the false Christ appears in you worship Him you instantly I mean gave up your professed belief you're worshiping the devil well why would one do that because they're ignorant of this letter not knowing this had happened first in no wake in Christ's return at the second Advent until you go through this and you don't have to be a wimp and tremble because you have to go through it God gives you the power when you're delivered up before this false one what does it say in mark 13 you don't even have to premeditate what you'll say but the Holy Spirit at that moment will speak to you that's why you don't want to deny this consolation in verse 16 which is the comforter okay and in verse 17 a very word comfort Paul Rock hollow us the Holy Spirit is your free and the one that strengthens you that gives you the authority that gives you the power the knowledge the wisdom and you know if you have if you have anything to worry about I know most of you you've already got your minds preconceived that you've got a few things you'd like to tell Satan you'd like to maybe tell him where to go well that's not legal you can't do that you have to let him speak the Holy Spirit speak through you so that those that are deceived will hear because you have planted many seeds and warned many people about how this is going to happen and when you're delivered up and that Holy Spirit speaks through you many of them are going to come out of the woodwork and they're gonna believe because God has called you today I don't know many of you have known there was more to God's Word than you'd been taught and many of you know in this simplicity when you break away all the traditions of men the recaps of one religion over another and look at the truths and it falls in place the beautiful consummation of the end of this day and God's plan of the day of exactly how it goes down don't miss the next lecturer alright bless your heart you listen a
