2600 tons of corn going into the ground

[Music] all right good morning guys uh today is may 1st so before we head out to fill the planter up we are planting today i just got to do some quick morning chores here so i'm going to grab some fetch cows and then feed cows and take the crap out of stalls real quick before the planet gets to the field there so what i'm doing right now is just setting up some gates so i'm not chasing the cows completely all the way around the bar so they only have one way to go just makes life a whole lot easier this is our french list for me not too many cows all these are all the left side are all the regular cows on the right side those are all the ones that are surprisingly on the list so we grab those two just clear them off because we're already grabbing a couple miles doesn't hurt to grab a couple more [Music] look for this logo for honest canadian dairy so we just make this gate right here got a couple cows in here it's going to go around and then i put a gate in the middle of them to divide half them in half and we just run them through [Music] so we do only have about 10 cows to push this morning this is the gate i make for robot number one and then i just kind of leave these ones here to run through one number two i am still debating about taking these uh panels out there's uh one two three four five six seven eight nine so there's nine stalls right here right in front of the robots debating with taking these gates out of here and letting cows lay here yet i'm not really too sure it's not like we actually need the stalls but i guess they're just being kind of nice maybe just opening up a little more yeah can i get two large double doubles nothing like some fresh timmy's in the morning just about 8 30 in the morning here and the plan is right in front of me so i got to go grab the seed yet and meet them in the field so we can load them up [Music] so i just got a text saying he's almost done seeding that field right now so i'm going to jump into skid steer here grab our other corn variety that we're doing for stylish corn gotta load in a truck and then go load them back up to do uh some more planning so hopefully you can get that 80 acres done today and then i think we got to do another 50. i think it's supposed to rain tomorrow so as soon as it dries back up after that we're gonna get the other 50 and i believe this morning last night so right here this is a salads corn we're going to be growing this here it's a north star 913 is the variety so i believe this is a new variety that came out last year we wanted to plant this corn last year and try it out but we just there was not available left to buy so i made sure this year we got some and we're going to try it out i had a neighbor that did this corn last year and it turned out extremely well for him very high tunnels so hopefully this year is gonna be the same thing for us if we don't like it after this year we'll test it see how the feed value is and if not then i guess we'll switch back to what we were using before but this is a specifically solid corn so so we just toss it on the farm truck really didn't know no i really did not want to put that in my truck as that thing is extremely heavy load so my truck's not really built for that at least the farm truck is it's a one ton so i'm gonna head out there and with my quad we're gonna go load the planter up and get some more planning done [Applause] the thank you [Applause] [Applause] i realized that okay [Applause] [Applause] you
