Did you know your handwriting is a mirror into your personality? It might sound weird, but it's a real thing that people study. Called Graphology, it's the study of the human personality through writing. By looking at the small details, graphologists can determine what your handwriting says about you, like if you're an introvert or an extrovert, whether you're detail oriented, or if you're a tense person. Of course, like most personality tests, not all graphologists agree with each other. And, honestly, some scientists believe graphology is a pseudoscience. So, while this can be a fun way to analyze your writing, it's probably best to take it with a grain of salt and not too seriously. Ready to put your handwriting to the test? I'm Mike with List25 and Here are 25 Awesome Things Your Handwriting Says About You. 25. If you write in really big letters, you're an extrovert and tend to be out-going, people-oriented, and attention-seeking. However, graphologists also believe this could mean you're putting up a front and pretending to be confident. 24. Those who write small may frustrate people to no end because their writing is hard to read. Writing small means you're focused and meticulous, but also shy. If your handwriting is teeny-tiny, then it could mean you're retreating from society altogether. 23. Average size handwriting is measured from 2.5 to 3.5 millimeters. People who write with average sized letters are balanced and see themselves the way they are. You adjust to the environment and can be both introverted and extroverted. 22. If you're writing slants to the left, then you're reserved and like to keep to yourself. You like to work behind the scenes and not get too much attention. Right-handed people with left slanted handwriting might be showing signs of rebellion. 21. You might be out-going and have a keen interest in the future if you're handwriting slants to the right. Generally, you're open to new experiences and like meeting new people. 20. Handwriting that goes up and down reveals you're logical and don't let your emotions take control of you. You think everything through and are a very rational person. 19. If you're writing in cursive and there's little to no loop on your "L" then there's a good chance you're tense and restricting yourself. 18. Similarly, if writing in cursive, the way you write your "E" will say a lot about you. If your "E" is a closed loop, you're a skeptic and don't let emotions or emotional arguments sway your decision making. 17. How you write your lowercase "Y" in cursive will tell you plenty about yourself. For instance, a big, broad loop means you have many friends while a slender loop says you're more selective with your friendships. A short hook means you're a homebody, while a long one means you have wanderlust. 16. If you write your lowercase "S" with a point, then you're intellectual, like to study, and have great ambitions. The higher the point, the higher your ambition. 15. When your lowercase "E" loops fully and wide, you're more open-minded and like to try new things. You're also very willing to communicate things with others. 14. Writing your lowercase "L" in cursive with big, full loops means you're relaxed, spontaneous, and you can easily express yourself. You might also be a good talker if it's especially wide and round. 13. The pressure of your strokes makes a big difference. High pressure could mean you're intense, sensual, and vigorous. Average pressure points to your personality being anchored and calm, while light pressure means you're an introvert and have low-energy. 12. Does your writing tend to go straight ahead or does it go at an angle on the page? On unlined paper, if you write at an upward angle, then you're optimistic and happy. In contrast, writing at a downward angle means you're pessimistic and frustrated. If your writing is wavy, going both up and down, you're either unstable or an unskilled writer. 11. How you space out each word in a sentence can also say a lot about you. Words closely bunched together means you feel isolated and want to be near people. Alternatively, large gaps mean you want to be left alone. 10. When writing in cursive, how you string together the letters could give clues to your personality as well. Cup-shaped curves that open at the top could indicate you show people strength and warmth. Downward facing curves could mean you're a creative type. 9. When writing in print, if you cross your lowercase "T" right in the middle, you're confident and comfortable in your own skin. If the cross is short, you're lazy and don't have determination. 8. Where you dot your lowercase "I" makes a big difference. If you dot it right over the I, then you're detail-oriented and organized. If to the left of the I, then you're a procrastinator, and if you circle the dot, then you're child-like and a visionary. 7. A and O are considered "communication letters" by graphologists. If your circle is perfect, neat, and closed, then you're discreet, but if you're A's and O's aren't complete, you can't keep a secret. 6. The personal pronoun "I" in cursive says a lot about your relationship with your parents. The upper loop represents the maternal and the bottom loop, the paternal. The bigger the loops, the stronger the relationship you have with them. 5. One graphologist will have her clients write out the number two for her. If they write it without a loop, then she determines they're good with facts and figures. 4. If you tend to write with a combination of print and cursive, don't worry, you're totally normal. You value flexibility and are usually in a hurry. But, if you write in too much block printing, you might have intimacy issues. 3. If your signature is legible and sharp, you're a confident person, comfortable in your own skin, and don't pretend to be anything other than yourself. On the flip side, illegible handwriting means you're private, hard to read or understand. 2. Your handwriting could even catch you in a lie. If it's closer together, out of alignment, or totally different than the rest of your writing, it probably means you're lying about something. 1. Believe it or not, your handwriting might even reveal certain health problems. For instance, if the pressure of your handwriting remains variable between hard and light, then you might have high blood pressure. Small or cramped handwriting could mean you have Parkinson's Disease, and when the slant varies in a sentence, you might have Schizophrenia. So, what did your handwriting say about you?
