22lr vs 17hmr vs 22mag vs 5.7x28mm - GIANT CLAY BLOCKS!!!

[Music] hey everybody how you doing this is about to be a really fun video i went to the hobby lobby and bought all the clay they had on the shelves and for this video we are going to be shooting these clay blocks with five seven 22 mag and 17 hmr a bunch of you guys are always asking every single day either to compare two of these are against each other are all three we're going to shoot all three of them in this video against these clay blocks let me bring you in a little bit closer there's the rounds we're going to be firing if the camera will focus all right now we're focusing a little bit the one on the left that's a 17 hmr 22 mag in the middle and then the 5 7 there on the right the 17 hmr is a 17 grainer and then the two on the right are both 40 grainers yeah i have no idea what's going to happen are they all just going to blow a little bitty hole right through and out the back and we can shoot them all at the same block or are they just going to make the whole thing explode and we got to get a new block for each one but i'm going to start with the smallest one that 17 hmr let's go load up and see what happens to this clay when we shoot them with these little bitty bullets should be pretty cool let's see what happens all right now for the 17 hmr this is my marlin 17v i believe it's called let's see what happens with this baby wow i did not expect that wow let's go check that out tell you the truth i thought we were going to be able to shoot that whole block with three different rounds but we're gonna get a new block check out that butterfly oh there it went but looking in there a little bitty fragments of metal there i don't know if it came out the back now the uh 17 hmr did not come out the back a little more light on it there check that out blew the side out blew the top out no hole in the back pretty cool but a little bitty 17 grain bullet look down inside there i can see a couple little metal fragments but hey that's pretty cool 17 hmr puts the slap down on that clay let's go grab the 22 mag next all right 22 mag all right for the 22 mag this is my savage model 93 check this baby out a little bit heavier bullet see if we can hit that piece of clay right there well uh yeah looks like it went through and blew the whole side and the inside out let's go check it out all right so check this out boys and girls look at that i hit that sucker pretty much dead center blew out the whole inside look at that cavity i can literally put my fist inside of that with that little bitty 40 grain 22 mag dude come around this side it blew the back out completely and blew the whole side out of that that is just ridiculous so definitely a lot bigger power dump than the 17 hmr and you can see this one that tore completely out the back where the 17 hmr did not that was pretty wicked with the 22 mag let's go load up the five seven and see what the five seven does all right now this is the five seven round what this is this is ar-15 lower cmmg five seven upper with their 5 7 conversion kit this is a 40 round mag but firing that 5 7 out of this baby super super sweet [Music] let's see what happens time to party wow there come let's go check that out all right so now so now this is interesting that 22 mag and the 5.7 were both full metal jackets you can see what that did that's maybe like a tennis ball hole size made this side bulge out and then there's maybe like a softball sized hole at the back get you guys some good light there on it but check that out where the 22 mag blew the whole side out pretty wild those are both 40 grain bullets maybe that 5 7 full metal jacket was just loaded a little bit weaker than that 22 mag but there you go there's a five seven damage check this out now that block is still got some pretty good uh clay to it i've got the 22lr conversion kit for that 5.7 let me go load that up and we'll fire some 22lr out of that rig and just give that block that beans should be pretty cool all right now like i said i got the 22lr conversion if you're not familiar if you have this 5.7 upper from cmmg you can swap out just this little bolt carrier group and then use the 22lr conversion mag same ar15 lower and yeah we're just gonna go to town on that clay let's see what happens this should be pretty awesome wow that did more than i thought it [Applause] would okay okay well hopefully that's going to be real cool on the slow-motion camera let's go check it out all right look at that 22lr damage man we really smoked that thing so that goes to show you 22 is uh it's definitely not something you should downplay it blew the back completely out of there get some light on it here look at that damage out the back from the 22lr we really put the smackdown on that block even with those little bitty
