Adam here from the waler Automotive Group and what I want to do today is compare a couple of allnew 2024 silver AO 1500s so we'll look at the LT versus the rst look at the exterior interior and then we'll also go over some updates for the Silverado lineup for 2024 let's start by looking at the 24 Silverado 1500 Crew LT four-wheel drive I know it sounds like a mouthful but this LT is one of the most popular silver AOS in our lineup and it's been around for a long time and offers a lot of great equipment now there's a ton of different options when you're looking at the Silverado 1500 lineup but I think the LT offers you quite a bit of great equipment now the base engine would be the 2.7 turbo Max and then you can also option the 5.3 or there is the 3 l diesel option now if we go over the rst you can also add that 6.2 L which is a beast of a V8 but this 5.3 is a tried andrue motor that's been in the Chevy lineup for a long time now this particular one when properly equipped can tow 11,000 lb with a four-wheel drive if you drop to the two wheel drive model you can add an extra 200 lb to that but when properly equipped the most that diesel would be able to tow would be just over 13,000 lb and if we're looking at the turbo Max the 2.7 that's going to tow a little bit over 9,000 so I know it gets a little confusing but the 5.3 is going to give you 11,000 lb of towing capacity which is going to be enough to tow that large trailer or to get your boat to the lake on the weekend now there's a lot of different wheel options 17 18 19 20 it keeps going from there so this one does have the 18-in off-road or Z71 style wheels which offers the Goodyear Wrangler tire so it's going to be a little bit more aggressive package with the Z71 kind of more a little off-road focused now when we look at the exterior or styling of the LT this one you'll notice up front is going to have that chrome bumper and the Chrome surrounds that go around the headlight when we look over to the rst that's going to be a little bit different now this one you also will notice doesn't get the fog lights down below in the chrome bumper and then if we're looking at at the back of the vehicle or the truck bed this will also have the chrome bumper there with the side step you can easily get into the bed now beyond that these are both going to have spray and bed liners on the ones we have here today as well as the soft open gate in the back which makes it very easy to load up all your cargo now speaking of that cargo the payload capacity on this one's going to be just over 2100 lb in the four-wheel drive on the LT trim with the 5.3 it varies a little bit but not quite as much as the towing capacities when we're looking at the 1500 lineup so just a few other exterior styling things to note this one will also get the chrome mirror caps as well like I said this one has the Z71 package so you'll get that emblem on the side as well as the Chrome emblems on the back so I know it's a little confusing but let's hop over to the rst and we'll check out some of those differences okay so now on the rst again this is the 1500 this is the crew cab and this one is in the slight gray metallic it's a really cool color it looks awesome out here especially when you get it in the sunlight and this one is going to add a few different options now this has got the 20-in wheels that are going to be painted black as well you're going to have the Z71 package on this so it adds a little bit beefier of an off-road tire now the rst or Rally Sport trim usually is going to be more onroad focused so that's where you're going to notice the color match paint bumpers up front as well as out back and you do keep that step to get into the bed back there now this is going to be the same bed that's found on the LT there is also going to be the multilex tailgate so that one's going to have a little bit more capability when we're looking at loading cargo or how you access the bed but for now these two just have the standard bed with the soft open now from there you'll notice a few different things around the truck like the blacked out emblems this one also has the blacked out Silverado on the back and it kind of matches really nicely with the black trim the back black emblems like I said a little bit more sporty or aggressive styling now from there this one also has the 5.3 so like I said there's the four different engine options whether it's the diesel the 62 the 53 or that standard turbo Max engine so just a few other exterior styling things this one gets the black mirror caps as well so there is a lot of different ways you can kind of load up these silveran but inside is really where it makes a difference so let's hop back over to the LT we'll check out the inside on that one all right so now we're in the LT model I've got my cell phone with us as we always do this one is going to have wireless charging so you'll notice this does have the larger center console here with the updated shifter that came in 2023 there's also USB plugs whether it's on the dash or in the armrest here as well as the household Outlet which is very nice when you're on the go now this has the huge 13.4 in digital display here for your infotainment whether that's your Wireless Apple carplay or Android auto you've also got Google assistant in here there's a ton of really cool equipment and the screen is lightning fast and very easy to use from there the backup camera is also going to be great you can just click that little button you can look down look behind the trailering camera makes it very easy if you are hauling a trailer or a boat very simple there now this one has the just over 12-in display for the gauge cluster here so there's a few ways you can configure that it's going to show you all of your pertinent information right up above it's again very simple right on the steering wheel you can kind of scroll through see everything or you can also use the voice commands on here or Siri like I have on my Apple carplay which again simple easy keeping your focus on the road ahead now from there the seats are going to be cloth but they are going to be heated so the Minnesota winters they heat up really nice and in the summertime they don't quite get so hot plus standard you are going to have the heated steering wheel on both these models that we have here today one thing you'll notice that's a little bit different on this model is we do have the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and you've just got some volume controls next to those now beyond that they've also left the volume knob here as well as a home screen button and these both that we have here today also have the brake controller added in as well as push button start and that's going to give you a remote start on the key fob so you can fire that up it will remember your heated seats and heated steering wheel if that's left on which is very convenient when it's freezing cold in the morning so just a few other things we do have the darker wood trim with the aluminum that runs through here and also a dual climate control which is very nice for the driver passenger so you can pick your own temperatures so obviously with the 1500 if you're hauling people around you can put five adults in this model comfortably or you can go to six adults in the rst or if you just have the standard bench seat in the other models so there's little USB plugs back there as well so if you do have the kids and the car seats they can keep their devices charged up and everyone's going to be happy now that's just kind of the base layout for this model but let's hop over to the rst we'll check out the other interior layout all right so in the rst again the first thing you immediately notice is that we have the bench seat here so you've got the little storage compartment in here you're also going to keep your cup holders but then you can actually pick this up fold it out of the way and you're going to have your standard bench seat so that then moves the shifter up here back to the column shifter versus the regular one down here so you'll notice you do keep your dual climate control control as well as the heated seats and the brake controller was also in this rst plus it's going to be the same center console display you're still going to have your 13.4 in screen again Apple carplay all that good stuff in here and then your digital display on the other side so as far as safety is concerned you are going to have that emergency braking there's an auto start stop feature and then again with your steering wheel here you're also going to notice your cruise control as well as the heated steering wheel on this model now as you work your way up the lineup and you add a little bit more equipment you can add things like blind spot monitoring the adaptive cruise control system there's a lot of good stuff you can add into these silver AOS as you keep going all the way up to the High Country which is going to add the super Cruise which is a really cool feature and there's a lot of good stuff in those 1500s so when looking at the Silverado 1500 two wheel drive four-wheel drive if it's not these two models there's an LTZ the High Country or you can even do an LT Trail Boss which is going to be a little bit more off-road focused or the ZR2 which is going to be extremely off-road focused the there's a ton of cool trim levels when you're looking at these vehicles there's a lot of ways to kind of configure them for overlanding for a job site for just a work truck as a base model there's a lot of good equipment in these vehicles and with the four different engine options there's definitely a lot of choices there so some of those only kind of major changes where the ZR2 can now come with the 3 l turbo Max diesel engine there's two new color options for 24 when looking at the silver onos and then more of the stuff for the High Country which you can get the adaptive cruise control is standard and then beyond that there's not a lot of huge changes like I said 23 was the main shift for the silver AOS one thing though that is pretty cool is the active exhaust so if you're looking at the 6.2 L now for 24 when you kick it into sport mode that rear exhaust does make quite a bit of noise and it's a pretty cool feature that is going to come standard with the 6.2 L so with nine different trim levels across four engine options I know there's a lot of information and a lot of good stuff but just know that the LT the rst are going to give you a lot of equipment there's more equipment you can get there's less equipment that you can get these vehicles are going to have an MSRP around $60,000 so it starts quite a bit less but it can go up a little bit from here depending on how much you're looking at getting out of one of these Silverado 1500s so I think if you're in the market for a 1500 if you're looking at maybe the GMC the Toyota I think you got to get out and take the Chevy for a spin I think you're going to be very happy and you're going to like what you see so that was just a quick look at the 24 Silverado 1500 now if you have any other questions or you'd like to schedule a test drive you can visit us online at walser.com or stop by waler Polar Chevrolet we'd be happy to help you out thanks for [Music]
