so you want to be a scythe god oh my if you remember that intro wow um yeah we're revisiting this video though uh people have been asking me to revisit this video for a long time now and i think it it's gonna happen eventually tonight is the night i guess i i don't have a plan for this video we're just gonna do exactly what i did a year ago go over literally everything on this weapon if you want to learn scythe this will be the video for that um it'll include everything um the only thing it won't is like really like a lot of like the zero to death type of stuff because i have an entire video uh covering like all the zero to death strings and stuff like literally every single string so i can't really improve up upon that so yeah i mean we just gotta get into it really um there's a bit of stuff that's changed and honestly i've just learned more about the weapon so we're gonna go over every move every dodge the most optimal stuff of course um and actually before i do completely get into subscribe i'd really appreciate both of those things that really out there that really help me out and um yeah anyway so i guess we just start with sidelight right um so satellite there's a lot of stuff that you can do straight off of the sidelight um obviously we're gonna go um over every dodge so sport dodge is there's multiple ways to catch it obviously the best things that you can do are like uh nasa nasa um and the thing with this combo is that and i don't even think i included this in the original video um it is jumpable here like that's where it's jumpable after that first sir um the string is either jumpable or fast foldable um and you have two options right so after this sir they can jump and then if you just go for another sir i'll show you what i mean right so like this um if you just go straight for another and they jumped they would be able to get out of that um here after the set they jump and then listen there would miss if that makes sense so the read for that and obviously the bot isn't going to jump um if i set him to jump it's not really you know what actually let's see let's test the training room it's definitely not improved since i made this video i know that much um but if they jump the read is to chase dodge uh you see here he jumps out of this sir and then i chase dodge up diagonally towards him to catch his jump uh it doesn't look like i did well trust me i did um and then the serra after that is guaranteed so you'll see if i just do it how i did it before he jumps out of it um like every single time consistently however if i do the chase dodge up okay i chased her just up just up then i actually can't speak today well it is like 4 a.m at a time recording this but it's got to be done um so yeah there's the read for that that it goes for literally everything and that needs to be said at some point in this video um so sport dodge we'll start with this that's jump reaction not spot dodge okay so side light like i said you can literally just do this right you can just enlight um but something like some satellite tech um on scythe is because scythe is so like easy to wake up out of and yeah you heard me say that a lot probably you can like try and get as much in front of the invulnerability frames as you can uh so if you like chase storage up diagonally and down diagonally it's a bit of a tricky input but you can still catch sport torch with that and also if they try to wake up with like an arm down there or like a like a gc i don't even know i'm trying to think of a gc if they just try to wake up basically um you're going to avoid that and you're still going to catch the spot dodge so just it's it's kind it's kind of something right and it will catch a lot of dodges like down down and um away away like up in a way as well it'll catch a lot uh and it's just it's like a soft route basically it's not gonna work every time and if you want to catch a sport launch like you gotta do quite quickly um but that's just like a little tip with we've got a sprinkle some tips in here right it's it's gonna set apart this guy from the last one because otherwise it's gonna be identical anyway um so yeah that side into into sport dodge um satellite into like up is you just jump um and you can kind of react to any up dodge like this because if they dodge up in a uh up and away even it's the exact same read like you literally just jump and then you know and it'll catch um but what you can do is literally like you can just hover a little bit you can jump hover and then you can just react like you can see there how i paused uh after the side light in there here like i'm completely paused if you dodge it straight up i can just turn around there if he touches up and in i can turn around there if he touches up and away i can just wait and see what he does he turned it around and i know and it catches um and you know a lot of people will go on about it didn't let me jump okay um a lot of people going about how like cyphers all just completely reads it's extremely like skill based okay however a lot of it you can just react to if you have a good reaction time um and you're not on i don't know mobile or nintendo switch or something you have like 800 milliseconds of input delay but yeah um that's just something just you can react to a lot in scythe uh and that's an example like all of the up dodges away i'm sure you can imagine you just walk forward a little bit catch the end light and then jump there um down is the kind of different one because if you hit side light and they dodge down if they touch the floor and i'll show you what i mean if they touch the floor like this they have that dodge back here you can't hit this uh um because that's just how dodge is working bro if they touch the floor the timer resets quicker not instantly but quicker um however if you do it and you time it right um they won't touch the floor okay i'm horrendous at this game wow and you can get a full thing so just something to keep in mind about that down dodge and it goes for a lot of down dodges uh something that will catch a lot of down dodges in general on scythe legends by the way is a dc it doesn't own fate but on more decks you know nicks artemis a lot of scythe legends a dc will catch a down dodge out of a lot obviously fate has this we don't even wanna i'm not gonna speak about it um but yeah same amount of uh d light as you can imagine oh it catches your feet okay anyway um yeah just um something else to add but that's it for side light i'm pretty sure in um i don't really need to explain that do i um yeah but i think the main thing on scythe and this is this is the thing that people will say like it's a 50 50 for a 100 damage read like it's wrong it's a it's like 75 damage if you get two reads and by two reads i mean if you get this uh heavy side light and you know you do all this that's about 75 damage you can see their health it's like orange however it's one read here which is a 50 50 granted um and you'll see why in a second and then the second read is what am i doing while the second read is here you know where they can have a jump or fossil um and you can see here obviously the bot isn't going to jump because it's a bot um so i just go for it straight away and i get it however if it's a real player they can mix it up they can jump they can not jump and it just depends if they know what they're doing on siphon not so yeah there's that um wait it's 50 50 because you'll see sport dodge gets caught um with a heavy side light chase dodge forward and you turn around the end light that will catch sport dodge it will catch an up dodge like that it will catch a i think left dodge in dodge even like that uh up and in it will catch as well it catches basically every dodge apart from the away ones yeah up and then it'll catch down and then literally everything like this and obviously it'll only work at low health like not more needs to be okay the ball is kind of weird of this one a real player would actually dodge but just the way the bot works he'll dash and then dodge it catches um down and then just have faith in me um and yeah the other thing and this is why it's a 50 50 because obviously there's two options is for way and up and away and down and away for these three dodgers you just chase those forward you don't turn around and you do the end light and you can catch it and you can get a full string and just because of the way satellite works they don't touch the ground um after the dodge which you know i talked about how the dodge timer works earlier it doesn't reset that dodge so you can get all this without them having their dodge back uh and like i said if they don't jump as well and if they do jump you could get the route again so so no misconceptions going on but yeah for the all the away dodges or all three of them even you literally just uh chase switch forward you don't turn around that night and um there you go pretty much that's it so that's side light as both versions highlight i think now some some some delight reads uh so obviously you saw me at the start oh i mean to be fact there's more on side light than that like i should probably talk about more soft side light is it's like when it's at like later health soft style it's always the better option because heavy side light will just not kill for a very long time whereas something like satellite sir can so like you know that's a reed or you know you can get a sig or not but yeah something like that will kill um and you can also react to stuff because like you can actually just jump and then you can get that guaranteed which will kill us all um but yeah like i said earlier with the reactions with side light you can actually just jump and kind of wait around them and then there you go you see i got a punish uh it it goes for like a lot if i set the foot to random and i just like okay well maybe not that torch but you know even that dodge you can see like if i just narrow in that general direction i don't know why the bots dodged that he's dodged away three times in a row it's not random i don't care but like i'm sure you can imagine what i mean here it's four am quite tired my actions aren't on point however they dodge in you can like jump faster you can turn around uh no uh it's it's a you know like you have to actually fast forward for like a lot of these reactions it's just you just kind of jump and then you fast forward and you see where they go and you narrow that direction i have a left or right basically um and this is where you can get hit by the like a lot of wake ups which is why like i said you can do the uh chase launching but if your opponent's not waking up this is a perfectly good option to go for it will even catch down uh okay it's a bit less um uh consistent with down however it does catch down all right you're just gonna have to trust me on this way you shush uh but yeah like in i thought i was in it's a way i forgot which side of the stage i'm on uh but yeah you can you know get stuff like this just keep going really just gotta react to a lot on scythe um but reading is also obviously uh the play um if you can but if you can't then you know i start the game or something and then you know just going for reactions is always a shout um and yeah the same thing kind of goes for for enlightened so i should talk about enlight reads i feel like that's something i didn't do in the last video and light reads are like if they dodge any of the down directions just double end light works really well as you'll see like down down and right whoops they both just get caught by double end light down in in as well um so you can just you know and like and light and then less and lesser um but the best thing and the thing that works just way too well on end light is you just do the same thing you do on satellite but because they're higher like it's easier to react to side light is a lot tighter because you'll see like you know it's kind of hard to to to grab that properly if that makes sense um but with enlight like they get put quite high so you can just jump and then react to dodge and i find it really good for catching sport dodge uh and in dodge because it's like you just kind of jump and then react with within there uh like away is all will work it's just i don't know it's pretty easy to react off of uh of this move like with nair especially right like you can react to other things like say you know you see the dodge away you get like a side light and then i don't know you just just do something i don't what could you deal with that like gc yeah i don't know some sometimes i have options but um yeah something that is doable i guess just react to uh night torches but um yeah most of it it's basically the same aside like it's just if they don't drop you jump up any of the art dodge is reactable to dodge up and in you just jump up um and you see they go in so you turn it around and that's the only difference maker um and then yeah like like down like i said down and like all the free down dodges and all the free up dodges are basically the same and then right and left is just you can react to along with spot dodge um so it's kind of you're picking between three different dodges basically because like right left and sport dodge are all just kind of reactable if you do this little mini jump hover thing um and then you know all the art phones are just you jump really high and then you just react to a trader go and then all the down ones are just you just end light again so that's kind of endless reason i'm not sure and then after that you can obviously get an snsr which is always the most optimal damage at later house obviously other things are more optimal um yeah but we'll get into that uh also something that works like really well uh and it just shouldn't is enlightened to end like you'll see what i mean so you enlight and then you dash jump and then you uh gcn light so it's it's yeah it's a bit of a weird input but like it's just that basically uh enlight dash jump turn around gcn oh well your gc first and then you turn around and if that makes sense if you try it turn around first yeah okay that's gonna be a bit impossible uh but it's just this uh you see like spot dodge is facing away from them um and then you just turn it into a and then knight to the left this actually catches a lot of dodges it catches down okay it catches down that's all you have to know about this um and then you get a decent punish out of it i'm actually gonna have to move the bot you'll see why okay so if i try and do this against the wall now i'm gonna platform cancel so let me move the board alright so yeah training room is horrendous but anyway so like you do the read um and then you recover down there and insider no way i messed it up that's actually quite impressive but yeah there we go at lower health this is actually guaranteed and it's a decent amount of damage especially for a read that covers as many dodgers as this does i mean this is a different dodge and i just showed you spot torch it still covers it covers a lot um but yeah so it's the end light internal light read thing uh and then you just straight recovery don't chase or anything don't jump just recover straight away uh into it there um and then turn it around into a sir and that's all guaranteed at lower health uh high elf's easily jumpable uh the recovery today is easy jump football it can even be john paul at lower house it's just yeah pretty inconsistent sometimes but um yeah it's it's a it's a very good punish and you can keep going after this as well i can't really do it as well because it's a platform map uh and they kind of get in the way um but that you can still follow up after he touched the platform so he got his dodge back um okay but for example after you hit the side here you can dare again or if they jump you can narrow again like you can get a lot of damage off of this like it sets you up quite nicely um so yeah there's that all right so that's enlight pretty much um covered uh d-light is it's a bit different to saturday and night and then i pretty much share like a lot of things like a lot of things um d-lite is a bit of a mix-up because obviously there's two versions uh there's off-stage version like this and then there's it's the on-stage version where you can get other things but um the on-stage version oh wait why am i saying on-stage and off-stage like this is the heavy version and this is the soft version basically that's what i should say my brain is melting anyway um yeah the soft version you can get like some kind of cool stuff i can't lie um such as that and it just takes one dodge the two most common dodgers are covered by the same read which is quite helpful uh which is you do this and then oh a bit of a missing buddha um so you d light you jump and you chase such towards them uh which at first it's a very tricky input it's the hardest thing i ever learned on scythe because i started learning siphon like silver right so yeah trust me you'll struggle probably if you're newer um but yeah so you you do like jump chaser towards him and then you do turn around there and that will catch in and then obviously you can deal after that again and then you just have to get a read off of that if they jump uh your chasers recover i'll get into that more later but um yeah it's a very satisfying okay the bot is unpredictable wow uh and it also catches sport dodge which is what i meant by two most common dodgers because they honestly they are uh and misinformed again i love to see it but yeah literally both covered by the exact same dodge and um i'm getting so psyched out by the bottom wow um but yeah that that's pretty helpful it can catch down as well uh it's just not not as consistent like it'll just catch down sometimes like that uh it can work but at the same time sometimes it won't so i like i wouldn't really use it for a down read there's no way he jumped twice and then fell three times in a row they are we don't speak about it um so yeah sport dodge in and down it will catch but yeah if you catch like a lot of their in dodgers on d light um or just a lot of their touches in daylight in general like a mix of a lot of people will go for and i really don't know why um is is uh a wave like that is probably the most common mix-up dodge off of d light uh and um i guess it kind of makes sense because like if you're catching that indulge it's the opposite dodges away right so i can see where the the kind of the full process goes but yeah this just catches away um obviously they're not going to do it like 600 times in a row like this bull um but yeah that's the read i should be slow that down i haven't even explained it at all but it's um you dodge dodge you chase torch even up and towards him and then you know you turn it around um then you can get that into a d light guaranteed uh so it's like this you chase switch up then you chase towards them and then you know it's on that round and then you can get into delay uh the thing with these kind of uh these d-like combos and it's the same thing with the n1 as well is that and it's actually perfect example with the in one uh it should not be able to catch it oh my god that's two in a row okay there we go uh they go off stage here uh you'll see what i mean so okay here they use their dodge so i jump and i catch you over there they haven't touched the ground they haven't touched the ground they haven't touched the ground and they're off stage when i delight them so they still don't have a dodge i could use a softy light again bring them back do another net into another d light for example that would work um you know what let me actually try show you what i mean but i'm not gonna be able to do this am i and i'm just gonna make myself look like a clown um oh wait actually yeah there we go so you can do that all guaranteed however uh like and if we take the away one for example that i was just doing and you catch that um you'll see here they okay so let's go back you do the d light they go up they use their dodge you catch it they haven't touched the ground they haven't touched the ground and they touch the ground if it doesn't send off stage they get that dodge back here as you can see they dodge in um so that's something to be very very cautious of because like it like i don't know if they if you think they haven't touched ground or like if you're just not aware of this mechanic at all you're gonna go for like strings and you'll be like well how have they got their dodge back but um yeah that's how it works if they are off stage after than there they won't have the dodge if they're on stage after that they will so yeah that's some of that uh more traditional dojos of d-lite are are quite simple if they dodge away you just do this and then you get nasa and sr um if they dodge like down you can just end light like okay not like that but yeah you can just end light same with all the down dodges uh left or in i guess i should say you just turn around and light uh sport dodge you can just add light as well it very very basic stuff of course after you just jump in like this oh okay what's wrong with me tonight i said okay no i'm i'm i shouldn't be teaching you scythe i really shouldn't anyway okay there's that and um yeah the other two i've touches you already know the score by now so yeah that's that uh for delight pretty much uh more fancy stuff you can do is i kind of did this at the start of the video you chase dodge up in uh diagonal turn around there then you can get like uh this okay i didn't kill because i missed a recovery but yeah uh you can get there's a dersa is it it is unless they jump because the bots will just decide to jump sometimes i mean players will decide to jump too uh if they jump here by the way just some some more tips so turn around uh there into cert is guaranteed at certain health at this half it isn't he could have jumped out of it at like i'd say you dark yellow is guaranteed at orange it's not and that like fresh it's not but a bit later than this it's guaranteed so you get that into a sir here if they jump you can recover and if they fall you dare um and that's the root for that uh same thing here if they jump recover if they fall you can literally just do down to that or they're into ground pound for example if he doesn't dodge it he has he's set to sport dodge of course he's gonna dodge um get him a bit higher if they just fall you can just dab there okay he jumped um so if they jump you can recover or you can sir um this is all stuff like if they don't have a dodge which a lot of the time you know you're playing scythe you're kind of hopeful that they don't have a dodge um but if they fall you can ground pound or you can dare again which i wish i could set the bot to fall however okay there we go you just do double dare basically or you ground pound and he jumped like you know what just yeah you understand what i'm trying to say it's just i hate training room man you have no idea um but that's the light sidelight and then like done okay that's all the grounded me as well we're making some progress uh something you should definitely start doing on scythe and i 100 didn't include this and the other thing the other video is true combos off of set you might not think they're practical but on higher decks especially they're very practical um and i don't mean high decks like zero but i mean like higher decks uh for example i'm playing fake which is pretty low decks as you can see i got it one frame there which could be a dex issue um but yeah they're actually pretty consistent um but if you hit like the later hitbox of sir this one you see that like two different boxes it's 100 guaranteed basically this one though i think you might need a bit of dex for um but yeah so you hit the sir you chase torch down diagonal to the floor and then you side light and it's either one frame or two consistently uh if there are more damage then you do it with a d light instead uh he's going to be like i can't believe changing the damage uh which you have to trust me on that but say you hit the cell like this then you do the d light and that would be true i like later damages um but yeah it's actually more practical you think because for example like if you're landing with a sir then it can work i don't know why i did the d-lite version um i did it again i have muscle memory for that i don't i don't know why um but it can work and also if you come back to stage because using stats coming out the stage is so underrated this move actually hits so well just off the side of the stage at this uh like it's just a nice little get off me like stop it it's through the stage just take a second and look how that hits it's it's quite nice people talk about siphon that hit through the stage but this hits like it just hit him obviously the boys in a different place now because training room however please please don't teleport again there we go like it's quite nice and after you hit sarah's or like it jumps you up too uh for example if i'm playing orb right let me let me grabble up here and i hit sir like this same way i don't get back on stage so if he's not damaged i mean i do if i'm high enough but like if i hit like the way i was i was trying to shoot you earlier with scythe i'm stuck on this wall and you can just go back to the edge guard like it's it's really awkward but scythe you never have that problem because you you get you like jump up like i don't know it's part of sir it just your character gets a little jump for hitting it um so like that uh it's it's it's quite nice um but yeah that's a cyclone boos very very useful um probably the only useful two combos apart from the wall combos which i'll get into later of course uh so make use of them when when you see the opportunity for it free frames wow i'm quite demonic tonight um but that's uh something else you can actually get which is very useful actually um and it's just like a like a little tip but it can make a difference is if they're more damaged say like 70 damage um and they jump right and you hit a sir like this if you chased it in there this can one just catch people not expecting okay so for example if you get hit by this sir you think you're safe right like okay so sci-fi hits a set now in this situation you think you're safe you think once you get off and lag you just jump and there's nothing they can do because a lot of side players won't even go for this they'll go for like instinctively this which will catch them if they don't jump um if i try and show that off to prove i'm not chatting there we go that's what most people would go for so they jump and they think there's there's nothing like i'm just safe that's like your instinct is that you're safe uh in this situation because it's really far away and like you're jumping as well did you just sick anyway um so yeah like that'll just catch people just completely unaware and if they don't have a dodge then you get it guaranteed into a d light as well which puts him in a very nice position like this is a very nice position to be in as a side player right on the ledge here in the d light yeah you love to see that um and also it's like a combo finisher right like this read this 50 50 between d light uh and chase dorchener is like you remember how i was doing this this thing earlier right the double end lights um and then you get recovery into there into set well at the end of that string i said you could get more things and this is the thing so say you know you end the string with this sir they still don't have a dodge so after that you can get a 50 50 if you feel like it um between a jump and a full um like this hold on there we go i mean not like that they can actually jump out that but like you know what i mean you just chase us down it's like this is the the set combos well it is a circle technically you know what i mean though um yeah so those are other things officer uh just like normie stuff you know like the like the normal reads you can get uh obviously for example it is it's quite straightforward like if you hit a certain they put you off you can get them there's a string it's not going to be the most common thing because like you're not really going to be hitting in neutral a completely fresh stock and then get a dodge on top of that very often but if it happens i mean it's nice to be ready for it i guess like yeah set into like up dodge it just end light if you think they're gonna dodge like horizontally you can just react you can hit the set and oh they dodged in so you can sidelight to the left i tried to sidelight there we go or they can dodge away and you can be like okay they dodged away i can d light or just side light this way um and get damaged like that so yeah it's not too bad um as like a like a read option and also do they have the torch rack they don't okay so this is a perfect thing perfect time actually for me to talk about something right and that is light and light being unjumpable now this move it the latest like patch or the latest buffs i've got was to this they gave a soft side like extra stun but side light into there is still jumpable so it's never worth going for um and most satellite nsigs are force foldable they're not jumpable anymore so they will catch a lot of the time unless you're playing like 2700s all right so it's still worth going for but um it gave satellite and light unjumpable situationally they have to be close to you and grounded for it to be unjumpable so yeah oh well not grounded completely but mostly grounded if you catch the sidelight like like this it's it's a hundred percent jumpable um but i have to be kind of grounded for it to be uncomfortable which means if you catch adultery with sidelight uh you can get it into end light and into the nest air combo so you're obviously gonna need a read um and then catch up read specifically with a side light and then get a second read here because obviously they can jump uh you should know this by now so it's very situational but that is a lot of damage you have to think so for example right they here um or you hear sir sorry and they dodge away like this you do soft side light okay or you do another sir that i guess that's an option um but yeah you do soft side light you think how much damage this is this is a lot of damage you have to remember right uh okay i can't even catch it because damage like yeah and also fate's high strength so it's kind of harder to do these combos on this legend and he jumped jump reaction isn't even on right anyway yeah it's it's about like 85 to like 90 damage or 90 plus fate would probably be like 90 because the high strength which for one read or two technically it quite impressive definitely is so yeah that exists i thought i definitely need to throw that in here somewhere uh something updated compared to the last guide kind of kind of uh validating what i need uh or reason to make this guide um other than just i don't even know views and feeling like i need to i i feel like i need to make this guy for so long now um but yeah so that's just stuff officer quite straightforward other than obviously the first things i showed you but i mean the reads are um [Music] what we got now what we what we should we do there what we did in there i feel like i feel like we would do there first or yeah okay that you know you know what actually no completely change your mind you're doing that so from there um and this isn't even like game tips this is this is training room tech if you want to practice siphon air reads you have to pick small miami doom and then put them on this um platform or else you just can't like you just fully can't practice them because if you try practice a door treat out from there how do you even do that you have to put dodgy action on but then they're gonna dodge that like nah so then if you you know do this they don't have a dodge for the key to read it training room anyway yeah so you have to set the dot you want and then do it you know straight away you have to do the now as the first move you hit um so yeah so sport dodge within there uh you can catch it two ways you can either catch it like this which also catches in dodge so it's a nice thing to go for as you'll see i picked left as in again i'm going to go insane soon yeah you chase george i guess towards him not really just horizontally forward and then you turn around in recovery that'll catch sport dodging in uh off of that you can obviously get uh ser into um i mean the same circums i showed you earlier really see it all links back together in your safeguards all you can get there into sir um it just kind of depends on what that option is afterwards but yeah like that and then if they jump after that you can get uh like an er like uh like i said earlier so um yeah it's you do get quite a punish off of this i'm not gonna lie so it learning these narrates are quite important um down is you literally just recovery you can do a couple things but like just recovery is quite good this will also catch sport dodge 2. uh so like sport dodge is a really bad dodge to do uh off of there um it obviously it's not going to catch very consistently but it will catch sometimes okay maybe it just doesn't maybe i'm just brain dead but truck like sometimes you'll realize that just catches um yeah it just does uh but yeah they'll 100 cash down anyway and then you get these combos see that he jumped uh so i i got the net i'm telling you it's useful always like i have to validate that um but yeah so that's down dodge sport dodge and indulge um away is that's no way what's wrong with me i don't know why lesson writes wait it was away no it wasn't okay so you just changed forward and instead of turning around in recovery um you just you just do this and you just recover straight away just stay stretch forward and then recover uh you could actually get pretty decent zero to level for this uh if you're like you know quite far on off the stage uh you can just get stuff like that for example so you know it's just these reads off in there are very underrated i think um you can get other stuff to you like for example if this spot dodge you can just kind of hover for a second and then get nasa and sir it's a very useful thing to go for actually especially because a lot of the time off of these nair combos people try and wake up um and you'll notice this low diamond you'll notice people start doing this but it's a very common against for example if you go for um a away read why was my mind having such a hard time with that if you go for an away read uh and they sport dodge it for example let's see you imagine they spot their chair okay i should probably just send it it's a sport dodge okay there we go um and you go for the away read uh i should actually you know what i'm doing a terrible job with this thing with this sport dodge they could do like a like a juicy side sig a gc unarmed d light recovery they could i don't know gc side light on axe internet like or into sir even people can get very early chaos off of this if you're not careful um so it's kind of a good thing to just kind of like if you're trying to be a bit more cautious of these wake-ups because that is a very common option people know about that to wake up off of um and there uh then you can literally just float for a second wait for them to do their wake up and then get an sl combos uh like ideally you do just one jump so you can still have all your jumps to do this um but yeah uh also you don't have your last jump during this as you might have noticed this is your last jump so you can't jump and get the final sir after the snare so what you can do is go for recovery instead uh like this be careful with this though because all you have after that is a dodge you don't have any jumps you don't have recovery or anything so uh yeah you can definitely kill yourself accident doing that um but yeah that's just some more some more techs or more tips not really tech but definitely tips up is it's a bit of an awkward one you just chase torch up and recover is what i find uh quite useful like if you want to stick with the recovery torch reads obviously you can also chase up and get um this which can actually kill on some maps um so you know that works too you're going to just chase those up and do in there well like yeah it depends what you're comfortable with really off of these reads um if you like going for recovery every time chase watch recovery that works completely fine um if you want to know nah that will also catch up and in i'm like 90 sure i did it again okay i need mental help wow okay up and in there we go um yeah the only thing it won't catch is up in a way because you have to actually use a dawgery that only catches this dodge um which is chase torch up diagonal towards him and recover but yeah this dodge is probably the best out of some like you know forward in there or upwards now i don't know what you call it i guess forward now because there's not really a way to catch this too well um like you can narrate in there like that works um you can maybe get something like that but like no one's going to go for that there's not multiple options that will include this dodging if that makes sense like this dodge you have to specifically go for with either that read or like and nana for example or like an ad delete sir like you have to know they're gonna dodge specifically in this direction so it's yeah it's a good door to go for um but then obviously if you're doing it every time then they're gonna know they're gonna get some some some damage on you um that was much damage definitely not but um i'm sure you understand the principle so yeah that's forwards now in a nutshell basically you can also get stuff like i don't know if they dodge down you can get like a juicy side light and then maybe get some some reads off of that i don't i don't know like you can get creative obviously um maybe like you decide like sir i don't know you can get stuff right if you really want to however uh the most like option oh i was going to say optional optimal options are always like less strings so keep that in mind um but yeah you can get stuff uh if you just uh expand your mind and and be a bit creative because honestly you can freestyle a lot uh with scythe like it's it's a bit of a like a free flow weapon just kind of react to stuff and do what you want and be a bit creative but there's also optimal stuff as well and that's kind of the main thing i want to teach so yeah anyway that's uh forward now turn around that i'm gonna go over the very basics because like most of this stuff is in my off stage guide or my zero to death guide like i said at the start i can't go more in depth with this stuff like i went very very in depth um basically okay so you have two options if they don't have a dodge then they're ever going to jump off all so that's if you catch a door driven and night or something right um so if they jump um you just chase towards recovery and then i don't know you can get something to kill off of that like pretty easily um i mean it does take multiple reads but you can and then if they don't jump you just chase george there and those are the two like main things you have to know uh the chase dodge that doesn't work if they decide to fall away which you're not gonna see people do but it does exist you can't get a follow-up you literally just have to pray to bmg to change that and give you a follow-up for that i guess because like yeah if you just fall away and the boy is deciding to jump for some reason but i'm sure you know what i mean instead of um you know you get hit by the timer on that and you fall like that right well you're well you're falling inwards if you just get hit by it and do this they can't punish it and yeah it puts you in a bad position but at the same time you'll probably have your dodge back soon um so like you know it could be worse um and yeah 100 you're free of any punish yeah i know kind of kind of annoying um but anyway dodge reactions so sport dodge you literally just do a delayed recovery pretty much like that uh indulge and down and then are both just instant recoveries basically i did it again we don't speak about it we really don't uh so is up in him by the way it's it's just instant recovery um along with actually in if i do it this this is truly just the theme of the video wow anyway yeah just instant recovery and then down and then it's the exact same thing instant recovery and it'll catch uh or or maybe i'm just horrendous of broward there we go it's more of the spot dodge timing actually i fully take it back um oh yeah there's those up and down the worst orders you can do by far because they're the exact same as the jump and forward um jumper forwards even uh so yeah if they jump then it's the exact same as dodging up except if you dodge up you also don't have a dodge which as i'm sure you can imagine against scythe stage not not the best of positions to be in um and yeah down is the exact same thing just chase touched there and it will catch so yeah it's don't go for those dodges i can't lie it's just not worth um yeah not really uh the best dodge to go for is away because there really isn't anything you can do if they dodge your way for this you can maybe say if you do like a max chase dodge like this yeah you can maybe sir um and they're in a pretty bad position if you manage to hit that even then like how do you kill off of this like the recovery you won't catch um maybe maybe in there okay that killed but yeah like it's just it's really awkward or like a max range in there maybe could also catch like it's just yeah it's probably the best dodge but at the same time if they know you're gonna do it nobody does this by the way absolutely nobody because the instinct is to not dodge like everything tells you to not watch away here right which makes perfect sense because like if they know you're gonna dodge away you're basically guaranteed dead because you're putting yourself even closer to the kill zone by doing this which is not what you want against definitely not um so yeah but if they do dodge away kind of hard to punish that but those are two options right there max range side and i mean like a max range you have to make that chase dodge last um longer than it should do to hear that sir uh and same within there so yeah those are the punches for that like i said this gets very in-depth with all the off stage reads all this stuff all the different uh zero to that variance but if you want to see that i have a zero to def guide off stage guide the same thing basically so yeah watch that um and we're honestly onto the final move already i say already it's probably been you know let me guess 45 minutes i'll be wrong but you might as well have a have a guess um and we're on to there so dara low health um by the way i want to throw this in just in case i haven't already i think i did at the start but if you're at high health never go for a heavy side light if they don't have a dodge uh you should always and like i mean always go for the satellite sir and he has a thought so i can't shut it off but yeah that'll kill earlier in like every situation so i want to mention that i did mention something similar to that but i don't know if i explicitly said that so i'm just throwing that in there now um but yeah so their reads are quite important because of how often sci players hit there i'm sure you know this if you play against five but um people dodging a lot off of this especially chase dodge so i mean chase dash dump there so you just turn around and then like to catch in same with up and then it's honestly these reads are just the same as like any other scythe move uh you just catch with end light and then you do your string uh down they'll always get that launch back pretty much there's never an opportunity unless they're extremely damaged where you can do this without them touching the ground so a down dodge is dangerous because of wow that's what i tried to do because of like i i guess just how easy it is to react to that because like they're just on the floor next to you like you can just do a move right um but safe at the same time because you're only gonna get hit by two moves after because you have your dodge back so yeah um like pros and cons to that dodge um and then all the up dodges are probably the hardest i'm not gonna lie to react to um up and away you can end light or you can jump in there it's i honestly these are the dodgers i struggle with most on scythe is don't enough up there like just jump there's your best bet but it's just it's a really awkward height in my opinion for enlight and for um jump in there because if they're any more damage than this then the end light is not going to hit it's not even hitting now it consistently anyway and then the jump nails are like yeah it's kind of weird to hear that too it's just not the right height so yeah up dodgers are kind of weird um straight up isn't too bad actually uh because basically a jump now will always hit just completely fine and and light isn't too bad either uh but yeah it's it's just it's kind of annoying sometimes i can't lie opening is probably the easiest just because like enlight catches really easily off of it um there won't know unless they're really damaged because they just don't bounce up high enough at low damages so it won't catch but yeah the end light is very easy to catch so you can just get your nurse at combo and it's uh and it's free but um yeah um i was gonna say something oh yeah the d light combos it probably random to bring that up but if you remember those specifically this one right um with like the in reads and stuff you can get kind of the same thing with there um for example it will catch i think up in up and in and down dodge and sport like okay it'll catch a lot of dodges but it just the timing varies so it's the same thing where you'll do a dash dump there and it basically only works from a dash jump um i mean i say that it can work like with a normal there but just like i don't know it's less consistent i'd say for like catching multiple dodges anyway dash jump you keep a lot more momentum so it's easy to use all um but anyway yeah if they dodge up it'll catch um the input is just you chase dodge forward and then you turn around there you just cancel the chase door just turn around there uh like this chase door straight forward turn around and that'll catch up it'll also catch down it'll catch sport doge um hold on the down is obviously the least consistent same as the d-lite combo um but yeah it'll catch sport dodge unless you mess up the input horrendously like i did um and again there we go catch spot dodge um it'll catch in as well uh not a white it won't catch in i mean it can but it's it's very hard to do um how do i mess up this input so much actually what's wrong with me um okay well i guess i'm just i turned around there what okay it's getting close to 6am you're just really gonna have to allow me there we go anyway um yeah so that kind of works for like a lot of dodges so it's something to definitely go for and it puts you in a really good position because obviously you're getting like the the net here into the the d light um which especially when they don't have a dodgers or you gotta remember because you just caught it uh then you can do like the d light um things also i didn't really mention that but the d light combos or i guess strings or whatever you wanna call it off stage exact same thing is there uh so if they jump then hold on i need to actually hear one if they jump you just take your recovery and if they fall you chase the charm there like this it's the exact same thing pretty much the doll trees are different but once again i go over a lot of them in the um what's it called the offstage thing video yeah you know i mean i i will leave an end card for that so you can click on it straight after this video if you really want to spend like two hours learning about life you know if you really are really like about the sci-fi then i respect it i guess um and also we take views um but yeah let me move this spot like this and i'll show you one thing at the very least that works very well um off of the light it'll catch sport dodge and indulge and you'll see me go for this a lot in videos of me playing scythe but if i set it to sport dodge it's the light into gc side light recovery uh soft side light by the way and yeah this will catch in and catch what i did left in again okay i'm losing my i'm completely losing my mind okay in there we go uh and yeah that'll catch and you can get very easy zero today that's all for that and people talk in a lot of this uh also you can get a turnaround there like this is all which yeah you're gonna get very very early kills like that because of the amount of momentum you carry with now um so yeah there's a lot of things you can do with this d light but i think gc satellite is the most consistent and just honestly the best feelings here i can't lie it's just i don't know it's quite fun so yeah keep that in mind with uh daylight off stage but um yeah also actually take it back i have one more thing to say heavy side light you'll actually hit this a lot and you'll probably do it by accident um but if you hit someone off stage like this a lot of the time they're gonna dodge down uh at higher like elos anyway they will if you chase dodge off the side and you do it there it's an amazing way to punish this because people do it a lot and you will accidentally heavy side light off the side like this because you just think you have enough room or i mean it even works i guess because like sometimes you'll want to go for like a heavy side like daylight here but if they dodge down like i said just take the chase dodge off and um hit it there like turn around like this and yeah you can get early kills like that as well like once again i go over a lot of this stuff in the um zero to death guide so i'm not going to go too in depth with the off stage things and the zero to death things but um yeah anyway well what even what were you talking about there really yeah but there's kind of the same thing as uh as well like it's just the the combos are kind of self-explanatory i guess like for example the dojin you just turn around inside like it's exact same thing it's like a sir you know they do just turn around sidelight something like that um yeah it's it's i don't know there's not much i can actually say about this stuff um you just kind of react i guess and yet there's there's honestly not too much i have to say i think we're reaching the end here the last thing i wanna i guess make sure you know about if you don't already is the wall combos um i'll have to set up the bot for this so i'll i'll be i'll be back shortly okay i think i've set up like as well as i can and um yeah that really says something about training room but anyway that's at your true combo if you're not as brain dead as me and i might actually have him like too low health um but yeah that into the wall into a ground pound is actually a true combo which kills very early uh it is very very useful like people say scythe doesn't have two combos but this is one of the best true combos in the game um like yeah you dare into the wall and then you just ground pond and you might think okay it's a very situational you have to be set up perfectly for it but you have to remember during dares you can drift very well uh let me try to hit there on him real quick um and you'll see exactly what i mean okay if i can actually hit it there and that's not what i meant to do at all um okay so if you for example please please you'll see that how i hit the there and i held forward so while doing the there i moved into the wall you can do the same thing but to get away from the wall um i have to predict when the boat's gonna spawn training room is amazing so like this you'll see i hit that there and i started drifting back and you'll see where i get out of van like here which is not where i started there i started there all the way over here right so yeah you can you have a lot of um wiggle room i think it's that yeah i don't think that's that's that's what i tried to say at all um a lot of room error is probably the more normal human being way of saying that anyway um another comment you can go for is all off the wall is down to there um it's probably scariest combo to go from the game but also if you hit it they're basically guaranteed dead so at the same time absolutely worth uh i'll see if i can hit it if the bot wants to be nice to me okay and i and i missed you know what i'll just get back to you when i hit it because all right yeah just like that or potentially like this okay but that didn't really hurt um anyway yeah i should go back and show how that worked or else you might be a bit confused um if i can i hope the bot doesn't okay there we go so you catch it there obviously and then you kind of back up a little bit hit into the wall and i just turn around there again and it's a true combo yeah i don't know either but it works really well very consistent it's just quite scary to go for because the timing um is kind of hard like it's it's basically frame perfect uh compared to the the ground pond the ground pond's a lot like more lenient um you can get this at pretty early damages too i just have it at 140 because it's easier but yeah if you miss you you're pretty much dead so yeah there's that um but it's very consistent kills very very very early and is pretty just borderline broken if i'm honest um yeah good luck practicing it though anyway um yeah that's the dark one because i i think that might be it i'm not gonna lie i think i've talked about most things i want to talk about if there's anything else i'll probably add it while i'm editing or something but i i think i've gone over pretty much everything i'm trying to think now and that there's not too much i've left out i don't think so i'm gonna end it there um yeah i don't know how long this has been probably close to an hour i hope it has helped a bit with the scythe and like i said if you want to know all the off stage stuff um like off the turn around there's strong d lights all the other zero to deaths and all that watch the video that should come up around now and uh leave a like on this one i'd really appreciate it obviously i'm i've been here for like three hours it's it's currently i don't know i think i started recording it's like free it's it's like six at the moment so i would appreciate a like and um like i said hope it has
