2023 Mercedes SL63S vs BMW M4 Competition XDrive vs Nissan GTR, Close but not that close. Drag Race

[Music] thank you [Music] my name is Sam and this is another drag race Let's Roll oh [Music] my God [Music] um [Music] [Music] today I'm driving the 2023 Mercedes SL 63 AMG it's quite an interesting car it's technically replacing the AMG GT and this is the only option you get it's V8 by turbo all-wheel drive but we're going to do something interesting today we have a Nissan GTR an M4 competition x Drive we're gonna do them one by one first we'll do the Nissan GTR versus the SL63 and then will be the M4 competition versus the SL63 just to see how they compare from 0 to 60 from a dig and a roll it's quite an interesting race because all three are all-wheel drive all three make over 500 horsepower all three are Coupe well this is a convertible but still a two-door car and basically we want to see how they compare on 0-60 from a dig and a roll race how fast is the SL63 the against the good old GTR which is not really old a lot of people complain about the new one the truth is why fix something that is not broken and that thing even today after so many years it's such a competitive vehicle it's a great machine and then of course we have the M4 first ever X Drive M4 competition the first one we're going to do is a road race against the Nissan a GTR than the M4 against the sl-63 so let's roll hey Jazz can you hear me okay sir the first thing we're going to do is a roll race for second gear just follow my lead we're trying to get at 50 kilometers an hour when I say one two three go on go we go we're gonna do manual transmission I have mine in full manual modes but I do believe mine after a certain point it shifts itself so even if I wanted a full manual mode it's really not going to be a full mode what mode are you in on yours mode okay let me this car it's so complicated this new screen now there's like a massive screen here um I have the wing open I think okay let me see okay there we go okay I found it it's a bit complicated this thing is a total machine so I have to like go through switches and then the wing is open okay are you ready sir window up all the way when I say one two three go on go we go you ready one two three go foreign [Music] car is spinning [Music] [Music] okay I am ready one two three go foreign there we go very close oh my God that was super close [Music] [Music] super close now we're talking super close hard to tell who won hard to tell who won right it was super close super close all the way but you are not far I'd say you were right on my window like I can see the car as we were going down the thing like that was like super close okay almost ready Let's Go Mercedes let's go benzo oh the GTR such a violent launch [Music] he got it he got it [Music] thank you he got it are you okay to do one more with the GTR because I think I had a bit of a slight delay when I launched let's just do one more I think I was a little bit delayed a bit behind when I launched the car perfect there we go now we're talking [Music] yeah but he's still getting me but not by far not by much a lot closer ah a lot closer all right [Applause] this was your second time on my channel we're done with this race I'm gonna do the M4 next I just happen you think that one car might be fast but it could be closer uh I think the result with the M4 a little bit maybe the M4 a bit faster I don't know I could be wrong but we're gonna see makes sense that that's probably the best result we can get from a roll because we launched exactly at the same time so let's do enough from a dig okay thank you [Music] I think the M4 had a bit of an early lunch launch [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] this thing is so fast exactly the same result and Jim said that we launched at the same time he gave the okay so yeah you're faster than I am but I'd say was like maybe just open the window quickly maybe you were uh like a car or half a car length I was right beside you all the time but we launched the exact same time perfect launch yeah let's cool them down listen thank you I appreciate you coming today bringing all the guys with you I I don't know what else to say I really appreciate it was fun you know we got more summertime so you tell me if you want to come back there's all this cars man all these cars let me just turn off the camera I just wanted to say thank you for today I appreciate it it was just very interesting to see how this beauty Stacks up against uh the German the M4 and of course the GTR it's quick but I feel like the weight keeps it down a bit um it's not one thing I noticed with this I have to say out of all the Mercedes that I've driven it doesn't have a very hard launch like it doesn't put you on your seat it has a very luxurious Driving Experience it's it's very comfort biased so it's all about comfort in this card it's not necessarily for the performance side it's still quick but it doesn't have a very hard launch it feels like it's engineered for more Comfort rather than performance that's one thing I feel with this car it's still very amazing it sounds very amazing at launching it hooks and the launch control is continuous on this thing it doesn't care how many times you do it it just keep do it keep do it keep do it and it's pretty easy to do the launch control race mode shift up keep in that mode break all the way down gas and it goes that's it you can do that as many times and that's why I love it even more because the BMW it's a bit more finicky than this but it is finicky in a sense this one the SL63 is that you need to know when to launch it when the guy with the flag is
