2022 SMALLEST Class A Motorhome OF THE YEAR!

hey everyone i'm matt welcome back to another video today i am super excited we are taking a look at the smallest class a gas motorhome you can buy for 2022. this is a 2022 thor access model 24.1 we are gonna take a look at the outside features first and the inside features then we're gonna give you three things we love about the access and three things we dislike about it we're starting in three two one hey everyone again welcome back to another video my name is matt from matt's rv reviews it's world zone channel giving you that true unbiased review about everything when it comes to rvs and again today i am super excited to be taking a look at the smallest classic gas motorhome you can buy for 2022 the access 24.1 but before i begin i would like to say hi to andrea hey andrea hi everyone how's it going it's going really good today you guys we had to bring yuna with us hi we didn't have anybody to watch here so bear with us today it's going to be a little bit crazy yep it's going to be crazy but it's going to be fun because we love showing the access slash vegasis because it's such a good unit andrea let's begin model is thor access vegas model 24.1 the actual tip-to-tip length of this motorhome is 25 feet 6 inches again this is the access vegas they're called sister products the reason why manufacturers do that is so one dealership can represent access and the other dealership can represent vegas what i love about this motorhome is the nice big windshield now here's why it's able to be the smallest class a because a class a motorhome is built on what's what's called an f53 chassis it's bigger it's taller it has the starts off as 19.5 tires and goes up to 22.5 where this is actually built on the e series chassis like a class c motorhome so they strip that which makes this a class a class c hybrid crossover if you come down the side here you'll be able to see that it does have the smaller 16 inch tires now before we show the tires because this is a 2021 it has the same engine it does have this all new 7.3 liter v8 it is the godzilla engine 350 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque and then look at these tires you know they're the dyna pros hand cooks their weight what's that look at these tires trailer than the hand cooks nice 225-75 r16 with the shiny rims right there we do have nice chrome mirrors right here with cameras integrated on the left side right side and reverse coming on down the side here we do have a little bit of storage right there oh thank you thank you you know yep and it is like um there it does have holes so if it gets wet it will be easy for it to come out also we do have a nice power awning what's nice is you push a button the awning will automatically come out this awning also has a wind sensor so if the wind starts to blow too hard the awning will automatically retract itself back in also if you look at the arms of the awning that's where the led light shifts are as well so matt did you have to hold that in the whole time no no oh that's nice yes very nice and the awning appears to be a little crooked um but i think that has to do with some of the adjustments we do have frameless windows throughout the whole motorhome 12 year structural warranty 6-year lamination warranty very nice and then right here we have some storage and check out this stairwell andrea again the f53 chassis you have the electric steps that come out this it doesn't because it's on a lower platform so it makes it easy to walk in and out of the motorhome yes we also got an electrical outlet right there everybody yes ma'am and then right here we do have a propane quick neck if you do want a byog bring your own grill and new for 22 that i'm seeing look thor's listening guys listen thor's one of the biggest fans of our show they're listening and they spent a little bit extra money to put the decals over so it just looks better it does look a lot better and then right there's your portable waterfall and then coming around the back what's so great about this floor plan is how much storage you get you know you know what are you doing what are you doing okay so as you can see your dog can fit in there yes okay thanks euna coming around the back we do have an 8 000 pound hitch now this motorhome can't tow 8 000 pounds you're good with at least 5 000 pounds any more than that you want to check your weights to make sure you're not overloading it on the inside we do have a backup camera integrated in that brake light also right here here's the other side of that storage very nice it's all passed through with all three doors and we do have a ladder to get up on the one piece tpo roof andrea let's go up there and take a look hold on matt it's really hot today up here on the roof you can see it's a nice one-piece tpo roof one ac unit it's only a 30 amp motorhome right there we have cutouts for max air fans if you want them right there's your wine guard digital antenna you do have solar for the roof and then here is the max air fan already on the roof you know it's okay i know how you feel baby i know i feel the same way hold on he's coming down last step all right he's okay they haven't already make sure you smash that thumbs up button one of the rv sales we'll take his fat ass up on the roof show you what features the roof has to offer nobody nobody you know it is hot it is hot right over here is the other side of that storage okay 4000 generator right there it's already running yep here's where your fuel filter is sanitation flush furion tv 30 amp power port goes right there outdoor shower city water connections right there and then this just shows what one of your tanks are right over here is where you dump your black and gray tank thank you yoona here's your propane and right here bing it's all the specs of this motorhome propane tanks length sizes everything and then a little bit more storage because you can never have enough awesome well enjoy it the outside of the smaller home looks great but the inside looks even better you know let's go take a look come on yuna let's go look all right we need the cargo carrying capacity 1289 pounds wow okay look at this slide is in everyone yes oh it's still hot in here okay so as you can see check this out i mean even with the slide in there's so much room to get back through here and i know a lot of people wanted to see this floor plan too because of the bed yes um the bathroom is in here you guys but i'm not gonna open that right now and there is a bed stays that way all the time yes and here we go and andrea while the of that you guys yes andrea let's get started up here in the cockpit area very very nice you got place for cell phones holders here cup holders there everything there's adjustments everywhere nice modern steering wheel okay i love this big screen here and i love how much space you have up there i i like how i can see it you have that big windshield again this is the motorhome if you want a class c size but the driving experience of the class a with the big windows and everything this is the motorhome for you would you like to sit my co-captain seat absolutely okay everybody look at this this is very comfortable uh-huh and i love that it's not intimidating i think anybody probably could drive it for sure i like that you have a tray here so you can work on the go yes ma'am and i have a cup holder here uh-huh there's privacy curtains on each side yeah also you have the motorized shade here for privacy yes ma'am both seats do swivel and there is a table here a pencil table go there for sure are you okay baby and we do have a bunk over the cab let me uh get this off so we can show everybody all right and so this has the bm pro also check this out this does have electric stabilizing jacks as well awesome all right here we have the bunk over the cab it holds 500 pounds wow it's pretty good yep and it's really nice that everything's just push of a button oh look i love the safety net around there yes yes it makes it very very nice and the fact now it's so bad but yeah it's it's a little bit but the fact that it's so small and it still holds the 500 pounds it's a really really impressive feature there is a ladder that goes here yes and then andre do you want to show us the cabinets how do you oh wow guess what what no lights are on oh my gosh it still felt really bright all right here we go here's the cabinets very nice color how do you like the colors i do i like the colors in here what about the balances right there okay okay we got a privacy shade slow rise and then we got a sofa and then here's what i'm noticing i like how they did like these inlays like a lot of manufacturers aren't doing that and so it's a really really nice feature yes they do have speakers there too everybody yes right here we do have a nice sofa that eunice demonstrated for us what is nice about the sofa is it is a tri-hole so if you do have guests you can pull it all the way out that's right there you got your cup holders here and then your tv is in a great spot even though it's above the door it's in a great spot directly above where the sofa is also there is two pedestal tables because this motorhome doesn't have a dinette you can set up your dinette here sit on the couch and eat well andrea you chilling you know what time it is it's now time for the msrp oversized one as well that is super nice and you guys there is a um uh electrical outlet right there yep here we go hold this you got it yeah thank you no problem okay so we got a cabinet up here yes it looks like there is an adjustable shelf okay okay we have these slow rise shades over here which is good because i like that there's no blind yes cavana white lights there all right okay vanna and we have a nice window which is good we got a round sink you know i like that window because it's a very small kitchen no need for sorry guys no need for a backsplash i'd rather have the whole window yeah it's nice it just makes it more open yeah and then we got a cabinet down here for a trash can thank you thank you yoona watch your head baby and then we have drawers here she has to check everything out okay three drawers we got another cabinet up here adjustable shelves yes ma'am and then it looks like we got a probably a two burner propane cooktop yes yes then we got a microwave convection microwave okay yes ma'am and then we got a drawer under here yes ma'am and then we got the compressor fridge look how big that fridge is i feel for shore power yeah i feel like this fridge is bigger than last year's i know and it's already cold yeah man okay so this here i believe is the wardrobe show yeah it can be whatever you want to do so as you can see in here you got your pedestal tables and stuff and we got two drawers right here nice drawer perfect and then the bathroom door is very interesting yes open up yep i always forget oh here we go okay okay so we're gonna have to open through open that one all the way to the back all right watch out come on baby thank you got it oh well no you were supposed to be in here hang on we're so silly okay you come in as you can see this would be your privacy door right there for the bedroom yep and then this also does the same thing on this side i think yep for sure oh no actually it doesn't oh it's a clown okay there it is right up there yeah for sure so right over here we said it last time we said it in 2019 2020 we said it in 2021 and andre now we're saying it in 2022 yes the shower in here is horrible it is so small and horrible but for what you're getting in a small package like this it's pretty alright right here we have a little medicine cabinet a nice little sink right there found it under here watch it baby yep and then we got one up there the toilet and we've got a fan there you guys oh and guess what andrea so two hours ago will and jen just released part one of our epic road trip to wyoming so make sure everybody at the end of this video checks out well and jen's channel we'll link that down below as well we do an awesome road trip across the country and then right here oops not bad porcelain porcelain chopped a little elevated but not bad a little snug against the wall but andrea i am gonna give it to him this is a prime pooping position bing i think they angled it a little bit more from last year i think they did just a little bit and again i'm rubbing a little bit and if this what here here's what i'm saying folks if this was a 35 foot motor home it would fail but the fact that it's so small we're gonna give it to you good job thor great job okay so let me step back here i just want to show the how much space you know it is relatively small the shower but when you have both the doors opened up yep and i mean close that it is there is room in here and i don't feel claustrophobic yeah yeah no it it really does work and you actually could go to the bathroom with both doors closed oh yeah here stand in the shower you could definitely do it so you don't have to have them open like that cool okay and i'm going into the master bedroom here you do have an accordion style door yes yes look at this two singles cabinetry all the way there it is so nice what is really nice is if if you sleep with somebody who's a kicker or let's say will and i wanted to go somewhere or andrea and jen you don't want to sleep in the same bed but somebody can sleep on this side so we can sleep on this side actually with yoona here with this keep her on that side so she's not on my side you know what i'm saying that's really nice but if you are a couple and you do want to snuggle there's a board that goes right here and then this piece fills in right there so it's one giant king size bed absolutely you got even more storage here oh my god this is so small but i'm noticing it's because of three windows yes that it feels a lot more spacious you got the same cabinets on that side a tv there very nice pillows and how does it feel it feels good now look there is two drawers down here as well oh i'll show that if you are not you know using it as a king size at least you have some storage space down here and um i think there is might oh this storage actually might go to the uh um underneath let me check let's check oh it sure does it does okay so this would access what's on the outside it's kind of a pain in the butt to do that but it does do that you got your tv here and cell phone charger area right oh look there's little cubbies yep very cute well andrea that's it that's the review now before everybody leaves it's now time we give you three things we love about the access 24.1 and three things we don't like about it andrea what do we do first three things we just like about it okay well first we gotta give it to that shower i gotta give it to yeah the shower is you know not good i mean i i get this space about it having to be smaller but again that shower curtain is a no-no with that step yep and i just see a mess that's number one andre do you have a number two um oh my goodness you know what i don't know okay i'm actually having a tough time with the number two okay so oh i i would just i don't know i don't know what i can say what i can say maybe is i don't know i think they can do better with their sofa what do you mean um it's just it's been the same thing for a long time it's it's it's been the same design okay same the same design the same style everything and i think it should be updated so what you're saying is thor's done such a great job with their valances and their cabinetries and the staying up to date but the sofa has kind of been staggered if you go back and look it's been the same it might just change shades but it's just like outdated it's time okay okay perfect that's number two and then andrea number three i'm gonna be real petty i'm gonna say the whole kitchen set up no little to no counter space at all this bowl is way oversized i do like the fact that they added the added top but like kind of like what andre is saying is outdated i absolutely hate this style because what it does is it locks in even though it's not locking in right now and people break this all the time it's you know i feel like they could have done a little bit of a better job with the kitchen area yeah like and just just that and i'm gonna do a combo it's it is a very high step to go from the driver's area down here yes right and so i could see a lot of people forgetting about that not being aware and then you know jerking their back or something great that's three things we don't like about it andre and now it's time for three things we love about this motorhome you ready for me to go first sure as much andre doesn't like the sofa i love how in this small motor home you hey come on i love how in this small motor home this is where yoona and i would be hanging out right we'd be watching the tv right there it's not a big tv it's not really in the good position but it's straight ahead and that is something that i absolutely love so that's number one andre do you have a number two i do okay i really like this floor plan okay this is perfect for people that you know are traveling and like matt said don't want to stick together want their own space you don't see this in other rv's nope so it's great that you can have either the twins yep or a king size the functionality yes the versatility of it i'm gonna combo that with the fact that this slide out here can be in and you can still use 100 absolutely so that's number two and then andre number three i'm kind of doing it again i love this cockpit area i love how this is made on an e350 chassis i love how it's a lower platform i love how there's so many tall people that don't want big motorhomes but they cannot fit in the cab of a class c they have to get a class a because their legs are too long people like will could not drive a small class c motor home but he could drive something like this yes and that's just what i love about it oh and to give another one that storage in the rear oh definitely well andrea that's it that's the review thank you guys helps
