hey how's it going guys this is dylan out here at munson's in the midwest um today here we have a 2007 jeep liberty it's an all keys lost situation i'm gonna make a key for this vehicle so i figured i'd just take you guys along with me to show you how i make a key for these vehicles this vehicle uses a pacifica system which to get the pin code to program the key you can't get that via obd2 there's no way that you can pull the pin from this vehicle you can call the dealer and they can charge you a fee and give you the pin or you can take out the module and read the eeprom and get the pin that way so i figured i'd just take you guys along with me we're going to start off and make the key and then we're going to generate a transponder for this vehicle and then we'll pull the module and read the pin and program the key so first off i have the cy24 leashi i'm going to read the door lock cylinder the door lock cylinder only has seven cuts but the ignition has eight so we'll read the seven cuts from the door lock and then we'll put that into a code fill program to get that last cut for the ignition so we'll get started here and mind you this lock is very sticky i have not sprayed it with any sort of lubricant so it is very sticky and very tough see how that springs is just a goopy spring two springy three is binding three is picked four is springy five is springy six is binding six is picked seven is springy eight is binding two three four five that should be it no not quite like i said this lock is nasty okay five is not springing and we're open okay so on this door lock cylinder we have two three four five six seven and eight so we'll start off here two is going to be a four three is going to be a three four is going to be a two five is going to be a one six is gonna be three seven is gonna be a two eight is going to be a three so we'll run that into a code field program and see what this last number one cut is and then we'll cut a key i'll generate the transponder and then we will pull the immobilizer ring from the vehicle and read the chip okay we made it back here uh we got our bidding there and we're going to open up a code field program to figure out that last cut and actually the code for the vehicle so we'll open this up and we'll go to jeep liberty so 2007 search there's our series we'll go to find bidding and we have two through eight so four three two one three two three we'll find bidding and there's our code there that last that number one cut was a three okay so we got our code there we'll just do all keys lost and we'll go to jeep and it's m2113 m2113 load that in we'll make sure our cuts are the same uh to position four we have three four three two one three two three so that is our key right there got some chips and some keys so we'll just pull out one of these multi-functional keys and we'll load it in here to tip position four and we'll lock it down and we'll go to cutting key [Music] so now it's going to cut our key [Music] [Music] i don't know why it does that it's pretty annoying it just blasted into the m1 jaw so that's cool [Music] back into the m1 jaw thank you dolphin thank you for doing that i hate when it does that the cutter just blasted right into the back of this jaw for whatever reason so there's our key i'll just clean this up real quick okay turn that off now i will grab some key heads we will put the key in the head that's good so we're going to generate a stupid chip so we'll go back to the key tool um generate transponder this is an id46 and it is y164 y170 key i'll hit that hit that get that in there and generate the chip done complete we will read it again just to make sure that it is in fact generated okay looks good so we'll take this put the chip in the key head lock it down and there's our key let's go test it in the ignition and make sure everything's good and then we'll pull the module and program this key okay we're back at the jeep now i got my key let's first test it in the door lock cylinder works good now let's check the ignition i don't know how well you can see that but it is on key works good um theft light is on it was on probably won't start and it dies so now we're going to take the module out and i'll show you how i like to program this key to this vehicle okay so the module is located right here it's one t20 screw or actually two t20 screws that hold this two pieces together i've already taken them out so now you just kind of wiggle it and pop it apart like that this part will come down here's our module right here and this it has a little clip it's not bolted in or anything it's just one little clip up in here that's holding it up so you just kind of pry it down and pull it out and get it out here so i can disconnect the connector i'm kind of wrapped up under some stuff here so it's just one little clip there um it's held up onto the steering column so the module's out it's just one little press tab connector and it comes right out it's a siemens module this is where all our information for the key data is on this vehicle so we'll take it back into the shop and open this up and show you how i like to write the key to this module okay so we got the im608 pro set up this is the adapter that we'll be using to read the chip in circuit i could desolder the chip off the board and do all that but you don't really need to on this some you do some you don't but this one you don't really need it to get a good read but anyways this module here has these little clips here on each side there and this one's underneath this thing and this thing can be an absolute bear to open i'm going to say that right now it can be terribly hard to open so i'm just going to show you how i kind of stick that in there it is they didn't want it to be open that's for sure i think i use this little torch man this thing is tough to open what did i use so i got one clip open kind of put my fingers in here and pry this other one got that one open now i got to hold this backside while i do this last couple back here i got that one open and this one you can't get to so i just kind of rip it off of there okay so there's our board and we're actually looking for this chip here it's a 95080 i can show you kind of closer here so this is our board here and it's this chip here it's a 95080 that's the eprom chip that holds all of our key data so you see this slanted side here if the slanted side is facing you find it here if this slanted side is facing you the one on your left is going to be pin one and everything's labeled by pin number one so i'll bring this over here take our chip clip and this red wire here is pin one so we want that on the left hand side of the slant we'll clip that on there so it gets seated pretty good and this one the red wire is on this side so on here there's a red spot that shows you which side it needs to be on so we'll put that guy in there lock it down and i think we're ready so we'll go over to our programmer here we'll go to immobilizer we'll accept we'll go to jeep and we will go to uh manual selection north america it's a jeep liberty 0.507 blade key yep we'll go to the control unit and here's this option here read immobilizer password vpw dismantle to read so we have it all dismantled so we'll use that option uh prepare prepare to remove the immobilizer password for screen please turn off the ignition switch first uh hook up the programmer we got it all hooked up so we'll push okay remember when i said before it's a 95080 we'll click that um you can see the picture of what it looks like um we'll hit ok i'm going to select it says do you have the eprom data bin file for this module of the car i'm gonna hit no it's gonna read the data so there's all of our data for the keys we're gonna save that we'll rename this to liberty i'll just rename it to liberty so we'll save that and i'm gonna hit okay and here it says the password is zero four zero three and that is actually incorrect um that is not the password to program the keys so let me show you here if i go back back all the way out here and we'll go to programmer we're going to go in here and there's an option right key via dump we'll select that usa jeep liberty 95080 is our chip it's going to ask us to load the data and it's back in chrysler and there's our liberty bin file select that okay data is ready and there's our key information and down here 9137 that is the pin to program a key right there that's the actual pin that last pin i don't know where it come from but it is incorrect that will not let you into the security module okay so there's an option here for make key so we're going to select this open slot put our key in the programmer and select make key it's reading the key add key number four yes it's writing the key to the module would you whether to save newly generated file yes um we will save it as liberty new we'll save that key is ready please write the new bin file to the chip to complete the operation okay so we're back here we'll go to chip eprom read and write eprom this is it was an st9595080 eeprom our liberty new okay chip written successfully we're gonna read it save i just did that so i can go back and look here to make sure that it was written successfully okay so we wrote the chip um i read the chip again to just go back in and see here i'll go to write via dump again usa jeep liberty 95080 load the data i'll back up here and go to chrysler and i saved it as this one that says 222 okay and we'll load that and this is our new file that had already been written to the chip and there's our key so we'll get this thing buttoned back together go put it in the jeep and see if she works okay so we got our newly written module and new key i'm just going to set the key down now this part here has to go up underneath all these wires and then it clips on under this bracket here it's pretty easy and simple to take in and out gotta go down under the wires up and over i should probably plug it let me plug it in first here so i got it plugged in i'm gonna go up underneath the wires go back with it up over the ring and then this little clip just clips on underneath there i'm gonna put the steering column cover back on here sometimes these things can be a pain um they just clip together and then screw together from the bottom so i'll put it up over the key there they go into these little tabs clip together like that do this back side okay it's all together we got our new key so we put the key in the ignition turn it on security light goes out and we successfully added a key to this vehicle so once again this is dylan with munson's here in the midwest uh it's an all keys loss on an 07 jeep i've just shown you how i like to program a key for this vehicle
