2 Books Every Prepsteader Should Have

today we're doing something just a little bit different I can't wait to share with you two of my all-time favorite books for prepping and for homesteading you know this channel is all about prep setting so I have two books for you today one for you hardcore Preppers and one for all of us homesteaders so stay tuned [Music] I'm so excited to share with you two of my very favorite books that have to do with prepping and homesteading I think everyone should have a copy of these or something similar to these I know there are a lot of different resources out there to learn from even on the internet you can learn so much but this is a national bestseller and this first one I want to share is for all of you Preppers out there and all I can just say is woo because if you grew up like me reading mystery books and wanted to be a spy or something like that when you were little this is a book you will love it's a hundred deadly skill skills and it says the seal operatives guide to eluding pursuers evading capture and surviving any dangerous situation it's by a retired Navy SEAL Clint Emerson each section is about something different so as you thumb through it you'll just be amazed at the different topics that you can find out are important to learn about I'm going to give you some of the relatively tame ones but there are some really wild ones in here as well but number 29 is how to turn a pen into a weapon just in case you ever need to number 36 is how to make an improvised infrared light and I think this is an important one number 38 is how to detect tampering of personal effects there are so many different ones in here I could go on and on but everything from how to make an impression for a lock how to open a car door with a piece of string how to deliver a deadly elbow strike how to jump out of a moving plane I can't even how to make body armor out of what you have just right around you how to conceal a little compass there are so many different things and you're going to enjoy sitting down it'll be hard to put this book down because you'll just want to read through every single one but this is the first of the two books that I'm gonna recommend you get a copy of okay 100 deadly skills and it's by Clint Emerson all right that's for the prepper in us now here's for the homesteader in us change gears a little bit this is a fantastic book that you can get on Amazon or in lots of different bookstores but this is called back to basics and it's a complete guide to traditional skills there are several different editions this one I'm holding in my hand is the fourth edition updated and revised but I think every couple of years they try to revise it and get it a little bit more updated this is in the fine print here I'll read em below it says a backyard guide to buying and working land raising livestock generating your own energy enjoying your harvest household skills and crafts and more and this is edited by Abigail gearing I think it's a number of authors who have put input into this because it is so full you just won't even believe all the different things it has here you're just pulling it open is how to do canning and so if you want to play by play with pictures to go with how to do canning there you've got that it has everything from how to garden how to make your own Forge to forge metal how to build a workbench for your for your outdoor space it has a whole section on household recipes how to raise livestock it is absolutely fantastic it talks a whole section on just solar energy and how to incorporate it and all the different things you need to consider to see if you're even a good candidate for solar energy I could go on and on but it's fully Illustrated with not only charts and graphs and and diagrams but also real pictures as well and most of it is in full colors so you will really enjoy getting a copy of this and if you are just getting started into prepping our homesteading I would strongly recommend this as a starter guide for you from everything from how to chop firewood correctly how to build fences how to make your own soap you name it it's gonna probably have some sort of tutorial in here so if you don't have access to YouTube or say the electrics electric system goes down and you don't have electricity you would sure be glad to have almost like an encyclopedia of some of the things that you would need alright so those are my two recommendations I hope you go out and get both books you're going to absolutely love them and it's going to be hard to get your nose out of them for longer than a few minutes when you first get them in the mail so there you have it two books I really hope you go out and get or order online from Amazon I know that you won't regret it and you're going to absolutely have fun if you share this video with somebody else who can swap stories with you and you can roll your eyes together at some of the crazy things you read in these books but they have
