[Music] okay folks uh i've been working real hard on this trailer and we've actually redone all the lights all the side marker lights tail lights turn signals parking lights uh worked on all the wheels got the tires on got everything all the tires up like we need we got our pieces welded in and got a we had a crack right there but uh we got our pieces welded in to hold our boards down and i've got some uh you know i picked some little cracks here and there that i found and we got some uh railroad ties on here tomorrow is the big day for going and trying to get the first half or the first part of the uh turnersburg uh harrisburg engine in turner's farm and what we're getting is the flywheel the generator crankshaft and it's my understanding should be somewhere around 20 000 pounds or something like you know along them lines so uh i'm gonna run it on this trailer and i wanted to get more right or more tie downs on it i didn't get time you know a lot of little stuff i didn't get done but that's okay uh we did get us uh got our spare up here more binders and ratchet straps and chains and stuff we're ready to go and got new tags on it new glad hands like i said got it all wired inspection sticker we're ready to go so uh one of you know one good thing about a trailer uh as long as you've got a truck that's got insurance on it then a trailer is actually really cheap to tag and title so this didn't cost much money at all so this is uh really gonna be nice to have and uh you know i didn't didn't get to paint it or do anything like that i didn't get to pressure wash it but you know paint don't pull the plow so we're gonna go ahead and uh roll with it and uh scott's gonna come hook to the trailer and use his truck to haul it and i think it'll do just fine uh we went clear through it making sure everything was good i know all the brakes work good all adjusted and ready to go so tomorrow we'll videotape it and see how it works out [Music] so so so [Music] so so so so [Music] so so [Music] so okay [Music] so oh hey [Applause] oh foreign oh oh okay okay foreign okay oh so god so so so all right [Applause] uh right all right we'll run out of time on the camera here we're back in the truck and we got scott with my federer backing in and then we're going to load this first part all right folks there you go see if we can get out of this motto having a little bit of trouble with uh being stuck but not bad all right okay so uh we're strapped down and chained down and we're on uh railroad ties so we should be ready to go i sure hope so cradles looking good tires don't look too bad got a lot of mud on we had to come up from down yonder but luckily we had a bulldozer here we're out all right all right folks we're here made it back no issues actually it's the following day so we made it back yesterday but climb up here this flywheel i guess it's about seven feet what it is right at seven feet diameter uh we're guessing 23 000 pounds maybe uh this is just a what you would call a heat chunk so it's not light at all uh between the generator and the flywheel uh this crankshaft that's i think 10 inch diameter it's just huge and everything about it's heavy and that's actually the pen for the rod and well to give you an idea of the crankshaft there's my hand so and i do have big hands but anyway all right so this is the governing mechanism we're going to get farther into this later this is called a uniflow engine these are actually lead inside and this engine works different than uh it's actually like a slide valve engine but it works different by this governor on this flywheel adjusts the travel of the flow of the slide valve instead of the slide valve always traveling at the same distance which is what happens on a regular balance valve engine or slide valve engine and the governor controlling by pension off the steam to it this runs full flow all the time except it's governed by you know the the adjustment of the slide valve so like i said we'll get way more into that later and uh but we're here we got it all uh that we went for anyway and so next is to go get the other piece and when i say get the other piece get the main base and everything and then we'll make a third trip back for the bowler that's sitting behind it but for now we've got everything trailer held up really well uh tires held up really well no issues there i noticed that them pieces that are on there that they welded on are actually cleats off of a dozer so anyway all right so but no issues whatsoever with the trailer no issues with the trailer brakes it seemed to stop good uh if i didn't hear any complaints anyway from scott and uh you know everything's good to go so all right well now i'm gonna get my truck hooked to it and get it somewhere and then we've got to get it unloaded and we'll be using probably the crane on one end wrecker on the other end to go ahead and just get it unloaded and we can pick it and go ahead and uh drive out from under it and then go from there uh i think probably from now on when i go for something like this i'll take the ramps completely off the ramps kind of was a hindrance when you're backing under something uh we had to let them down put them on board so we could slide them and it just been easier if they were off so i've got to remember next time to do that all right so anyway uh we'll film the next one and then we're working here on getting stuff set up for the uh taylor ironworks engine stuff so i'll get you another video on that appreciate everybody watching until next time bye you
