[Music] hey folks Jonathan here I'll show you a few things about this thing I don't think I showed you as you can see somebody has put some regular wires on here trying to use them as plug wires so that tells me that somebody was trying to start this thing carburetor is loose it's not bolted on really well so dad is another son but uh anyway everything looks pretty good here needs pressure wash really bad and I don't know whether we'll do that beforehand or after bed I need to get everything cleaned out really well so it'll help with the airflow and the cooler than they were hanging but a couple things I want to show you one thing I did notice is our advance and it's actually on a cable so I haven't looked in there unless it's on it could be on the steering wheel but it might be on the - wolf fill right there but I don't know if I showed this before or not but you got a full mark right here and a I guess a lower and empty mark up here and it's gonna be so empty okay this piece right here this is a float and as you can see but put down on empty it this roof starts going right back to full so that just floats in the hall just like a gas gauge manifolds are in excellent excellent shape on this thing I mean they you know it goes right back to the castings with the with the Nash you know how good of a casting that is that's it's amazing and then the exhaust comes out runs around the front side of course you got a fan here that comes up and blows back in the air blow straight down across the cylinders what we have is exhaust comes around goes into the sort of what would be a heater or pre heater to heat your fuel before it goes into the manifold so it just runs through and then your exhaust runs down and of course carburetor works just normal not sure what this is it's piped into here and it's got you know I'm assuming six volts on that I'm not sure what kind of sort of whatever we'll have to figure a lot of this stuff out as we go some things you know for me once some things I'm just not and it looks like choke cable they fund hook we've got a throttle cable that actually or I throttle that hooks to the steering wheel also along with the pedal this is actually for an old camp just say it that's original you see the only thing I see that's really missing that's kind of bother me on this I need to look through the box and make sure and see if it's there and now would be the fuel fitting that goes here it comes from this lawn someone's cut the fuel line but also if you see there's a fuel line coming up it's probably from the tank and wouldn't put one into here and I think listed it you could get this with a NAC or a fuel pump or vacuum and I'm assuming that this is a factory six volt electric fuel pump it may be aftermarket but I seen a listing where that you know there was an AC pump available so may or may not be but anyway I didn't see AC on it either been of course it didn't look real hard I mean I can't say the brand I can sit through the camera but uh anyway we're gonna course use a cheaper tank and I think one you know one thing we're gonna have to do is get the get the valve cover back off here or air deflector or whatever you want to call it it covers the valves sort of so we'll call it a vow pillar we're going to get that off real quick and I'll show you what what they had for what originally it had four plug bars and then what they had put on it one thanks for sure they built it cover to last heavy ok here's what we got we got the plug wires running up through and the original ones and they would have mounted right here on the plugs is that I'm running down into the side of this track all the way back and around and I'll show you where they run this all the way through this tube and right here is the old plug wires so we're definitely not gonna get them back in that tube for now that's gonna be uh that would be a job now you know I'm surprised they've done that because you know they're so bad about Orkin anyway when they get a little bit old especially the copper core or you know the steel core that looks like steel maybe stainless I don't know but once they crack a little bit then you know your installation is going and it's gonna jump from one to the other so what we'll do is uh I'll make up some kind of plug wires here go from the cap go from the center and just bring them up just like they did temporarily and run them through over to the plugs the only bad part is you know that from what I'm seeing is and what they had advertised this ass is it a pressurized cooling system so here's our fan okay so what what is what I'm getting at is is you know this would have been a sealed sealed up and that's one of the reasons they have the plug wires running up like they've got them this would be sealed and all the air would be forced to go down through instead of leaking out anywhere but with all this dirt and gunk inside here you know this that's obstructing the fans and stuff that it's not a good Bank so it's really gonna need cleaned up really well I don't know what this thing runs some big big plugs there's a two piece plug you take apart and then it looks like the rest of these are one piece I don't I don't think that's for a slug it looks awful big but it might be save that but anyway you see how these plug wires come up so these ends are probably if you get maybe unscrew these and reuse them so that's one thing we're gonna have to figure out how we're gonna go about that putting them wires back in that the tube is gonna be a chore and I'm not sure how or how I want to go about this but we'll figure it out we just don't want to I don't want to alter anything I don't want to be doing you know any cutting to run wires out or anything like that and I definitely don't want this thing to be overheat and we want to try to do the best we can to go back like it should be you can see one tube right there the rubbers missing around it we're supposed to seal off the pushrod - okay we're gonna turn it over and see slowly turn it over and see what we got a stuck exhaust valve and it would be intact and we won't have it stuck exhaust there rest on my thinker okay all right whatever you ready okay okay folks so we've got to exhaust valves sticking on this thing two and three son or two and three everything else that's pretty good so what we'll do is work with them valves and get them freed up before we do anything else to try start it and I vote one end sprayed them we'll let them sit for a little bit and then we'll work with them from there okay thanks we've got this one loose no problems this one's still sticking we're gonna keep working with it playing with a little bit to pull any spark plugs out as you can see there they're big ones I don't know what size this bigger 19 millimeter I think so I'm sure it is but it's not a pipe thread like some of the old ones but yeah this is a this one you can take apart I don't think buddy's seen these before but you can take the center out and actually clean this or replace the center and put it back together don't look too bad so anyway I'm gonna keep playing with it and trying to get that number two exhaust by one step may I pull this rocker cover off and work with it from there but I don't want to bend it or do anything too drastic so we'll just just easily work with him and like Cydia all the other ones seem to be working good this one it just popped one time and it's fine it wasn't stuck really bad but uh you know I guess sitting you know even better you gotta expect that all right go broke [Applause] [Music] put these plug wires on Noah's Tahoe maybe with some boughs that was too tight and that's gotta be alright chicken house they still occur kind of hot all right [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] okay what we got here is a failure to compress yet we don't have no compression home [Music] [Music] somebody without those two fact or no I think I'm hoping we get to fire order and buying over the right cuz I don't know what it is for sure [Applause] what's the thinking enough compression stalk what you thinking you don't have a whole lot of suction over here thanks for thank you the valves ain't seating where there's a ring issues okay folks we are going to give up for the mine can't check the compression because the spark plug holes are too big so we don't have a compression tester to test it and I'm not sure what we're gonna do yet whether long pull cylinders or if we're gonna wait till I put the tires on and pull it off to get it started it don't have enough suction holding my hand over the carburetor to start like it should so I don't know what to do it's hidden pretty good but I just don't think it's got enough compression to take off we could probably pull start it and get it running almost hear any noises in it all the valves are closing all the way don't think they're seeking real good but we will keep playing with it all right we're gonna try it again we've got a little gas in it and guts powder charger on it I hadn't checked it I'm hoping the exhaust is not stopped up from mice or something causing this whole issue but I got a feeling that it might just be the valves not seating here don't give her another try [Music] alright y'all ready when you are bah [Music] [Music] she's trying hard so close all right folks well it to the junkyard because it's got a wooden frame so we have to take it to the firewood processing and see if we can get rid of okay I can use a cigarette right now no so Monday will be what two good enough advanced so I think I go one notch all the way around and then we go we taught it a little bit with the cable we should be able to get enough advance because I still think that's what our issue is we just don't have enough advanced all the time it's been our main issue the whole time but somebody had messed with this thing quite a bit before we did as you can see by the beautiful green floodwater what I thought wasn't day okay she runs actually got it running pretty good there for the end and uh yeah we rot I guess we ran out of gas earlier and a buddy of mine happened to be by and I had some in the back of his truck and he gave us a tank full and that will run out of it alright anyway it is what it is but we do if we do have running running pretty good it's not smoke and tear up or nothing like that we're getting the timing fine-tuned and carburetor tuned in and we'll get it all figured up so Monday the rear tires will be here I don't know if we'll get a chance to work on that or not working on the coupe I'm going to show you real quick just to update on it because I'm not gonna get a video posted on it today I've run out of room on my on my card on my phone on my camera so I'm using my cell phone and I think it probably films a little better but anyway here's where we're at on it working away on it driveshafts made i dial indicated it ends while we're gonna do is weld it now cut quite a bit done and as soon as we get the body finished up get some paint we'll get it to sit on anyway that's it for it and hopefully the next video on the Franklin will be driving it and hopefully the next video on this will be painting the body but we'll see alright appreciate buddy watching bye hey bye charlie [Music]
