This is iNok In this video, I'll share amazing street food at Asakusa, Sensoji Temple Let's go Today, I came to Asakusa, Sensoji Temple This is the oldest temple in Tokyo and we can have historical sightseeing around here A street called Nakamise street is also well known as one of the historical place Sensoji temple was built in 628 so it's been here over 1400 years Many tourists come over here to see Japanese classic buildings And of course, we can't miss food around Sensoji temple There's lots of wonderful street food we can have so in this video I'll share 12 foods around Sensoji temple Once, you watch this video, you can have wonderful food and tour in Asakusa Stay tuned till the end!! Okay, let's get started Please subscribe my channel First shop that I'd like to share is Asakusa Menchi It offers very famous Japanaese food which is Menchikatsu I got Asakusa Menchi This is very famous street food in Asakusa Menchikatsu is like a croquette but it's ground beef inside and mixed up with some chopped veggies and people in Asakusa really love this Itadakimasu This is so tasty Ground beef is really juicy and so tasty Because it's deep fried, it's so crispy This is really nice Chopped cabbage is also inside and this is so crunchy and good too This is great light snack in Asakusa The second shop is Funachu This is a Unagi and Yakitori restaurant We can have amazing food at the restaurant but it sells take away menu so I'll share one of it from here This is Yakitori Yakitori is very famous and casual food in Japan We usually have at Izakaya or local pub or bar Yakitori is grilled chicken skewers And I got 5 different parts of Yakitori One is chicken skin, Kawa And one is Hatsu This is chicken heart This is Nankotsu, it's chicken gristle This Negima, chicken thigh with leek Last one is Tsukune Tsukune is minced meat Every one of skewer looks really good Yakitori is skewered food so it's really easy to have Itadakimasu Good, good, good Chicken thigh is really soft and tender Yakitori sauce is slightly sweet yet salty This is very tasty sauce Chicken thigh is very juicy Leek is so crunchy Can you hear that? Next one is Tsukune Sauce is pretty much the same Minced meat is so fluffy This is really good Minced meat is so dense and it tastes so rich And gristle chicken gristle This is very crispy Chicken is very tender but chicken gristle is very crunchy It's really good And chicken heart Chicken heart is really chewy and good It's chicken heart but it doesn't taste like iron so we can easily have it This is so chewy and tender It's really nice, I love chicken heart Okay, last one, last one is chicken skin It's so juicy Because this is chicken skin It's really chewy but it's well grilled so it's slightly crispy and it's easy to bite it off We can buy take away Yakitori at Funachu but we can also eat in Funachu so this is great option, we can bring back home or we can have it at the restaurant This is very tasty Yakitori Third shop is Tokyo curry pan As shop name shows, it offers curry pan Curry pan is very casual food in Japan And this stretchy cheese curry bread is sooo tasty This is curry pan, I got it Curry pan is very famous bread in Japan It's curry bread Curry paste is wrapped by bread and it's deep fried so outside is slightly crispy and inside is full of curry This is special curry pan so stretchy cheese is also wrapped inside Okay, Itadakimasu This is good Curry is really mild and mellow It tastes so rich of spice but it's not spicy at all Can you see the chees inside? It's really stretchy and it's really mild Cheese makes curry even better Outside of curry pan is really crispy but inside of bread is really soft and so fluffy And curry paste, filling is full of inside of curry pan This is really good Truffle is also used for ingredient so this smells wonderful It's so fragrant If you haven't tried curry pan yet this is the one that you must try Next shop is Takono Nakigoe It offers very famous Japanese light snack which is senbei, rice cracker but this senbei is really unique Whole octopus is pressed and become senbei We can have nice and hot, crispy rice cracker right away It smells fantastic It's appetizing me a lot! This is Takosen It's huge isn't it? Rice cracker is very famous light snack in Japan and it's really crispy and it's really thin Whole octopus is thinly pressed and it's really crispy and so flavorful It smells really nice Itadakimasu It's really crunchy and rice cracker part is really crispy and crunchy It tastes flat, I don't think it's seasoned Let's eat octopus part This part is really chewy Because octopus is pressed it's really chewy and it's full flavor of octopus This is really good And it's really fragrant of roasting aroma This is amazing It's huge rice cracker We can casually share with friends or partners or family This is great street in Asakusa Coming next is Monja Korokke It offers Monja croquette This is very interesting food This is Monja Korokke Monja is very famous local food in Japan It's soupy and we usually cook on the iron plate but this is Monja Korokke Monja is wrapped inside and deep fried Okay, Itadakimasu It's so good Monja is usually really soupy but it's so mussy and so thick It's like paste but it's really smooth and also Yakisoba noodles are inside Yakisoba is pan fried noodle And also some red pickled ginger, Benishoga This is great collaboration with Monja, Yakisoba and red pickled ginger and Red pickled ginger slightly tastes sour Monja tastes sweet vegetable sauce so it's really salty and so tasty Because it's deep fried, outside is really crunchy and inside is really soft and mussy If you haven't tried Monja yet this is great street food of Monjayaki Next shop is Warabimochi Motoko It offers some kind of Warabimochi Warabimochi is bracken-starch dumpling And it offers very special flavored Warabimochi These look awesome This is Warabimochi Warabimochi is very famous Japanese sweets It's made from bracken-starch It's really soft and wobble, and so chewy and bouncy Look at this, can you see? It's normally tastes flat so we usually put some soy beans or some other sauce to make it sweet Wow, it looks so good! Itadakimasu It's so chewy and so stretchy It's really soft It's like a jelly so it's really moist inside And soy bean power, it's called Kinako is slightly sweet And also yellow sugar is mixed up with Warabimochi so it tastes really nice It has very gentle sweetness Look at this, Warabimochi is wobble and so bouncy This is great sweets in Asakusa We came up to half, next shop is Soratsuki This is a strawberry specialized shop We can have wonderful Japanese desserts with strawberry This is colorful Dango, 4 flavored Dango Dango is very famous snack in Japan and it's really chewy It's rice dumpling Can you see? 4 flavored pastes are topped on Dango Mango, strawberry, Matcha and sweet red bean paste And we can enjoy 4 different flavors at one skewer This is very good Itadakimasu Mango paste tastes really refresh and it's slightly sour and it's so flavorful And it smells and tastes so flavorful of Mango This is great And small pieces of strawberries are also topped on it It's also really sweet and so refresh It's really good Dango is really stretchy just look at it How was it?? I just had strawberry flavored paste This is also really good If you are looking for something good This is great street food in Asakusa It's really tasty Next shop that I'd like to share is Imoyasu Japan is really famous for sweet potato and this is a sweet potato specialized shop We can have some sort of unique sweet potato products And I'll share No.1 menu from here This is Osatsu chips It's sweet potato chips Sweet potato is thinly sliced and deep fried I got plain flavored of Osatsu Chips so it's not seasoned at all It's just simply deep fried Each piece is pretty big but it's really thin Can you see? It tastes really good It's crispy It's not seasoned but it's so sweet It tastes full flavor of sweet potato It's amazing that sweet potato tastes really rich and so sweet Japanese sweet potato tastes really good give it a try Next one is Ichigoza This shop is also well known as a great strawberry products shop Ichigoza offers traditional Japanese sweets and strawberry flavored drinks Especially, strawberry beer is amazing This is strawberry smoothie It looks gorgeous right? Asakusa Ichigoza is very famous for strawberry And quality of strawberry is fantastic Okay, Itadakimasu Wow, it's so tasty It tastes really rich of strawberry so much We can select from strawberry milk or strawberry with tea And I got strawberry milk one It's really milky and so flavorful And also crushed frozen strawberry is topped on it It's so chunky and it tastes really refresh and it's so mellow of strawberry I love this chunky texture Can you see? strawberry is full of surface This is amazing Taste is so rich of strawberry and crushed strawberry is also great Strawberry smoothie tastes really rich and also crushed strawberry is really good Look at this, smoothie is really thick and so dense but it's really smooth, this is amazing If you love strawberry of smoothie this is the one that you must have it Coming next is Kyokurara This is a really unique Fu shop, which is wheat bran desserts shop We can't find Fu dessert any other places in Asakusa There're over 20 kinds of flavors we can select I'll share the most popular Fu skewer This is Ofu stick I got Hojicha flavor Ofu stick Ofu is wheat bran And this Ofu is mixed up with some Matcha I guess Green tea flavor And Hojicha pastes is topped on Ofu Hojicha is roasted green tea It looks really similar with Dango, rice dumpling but it's completely different Ofu is wheat bran Itadakimasu This is so good Ofu tastes really rich of Matcha and it's really chewy and so stretchy It's really bouncy Hojicha, roasted green tea tastes really rich too It smells really good It's so fragrant of roastiness It's slightly different from Dango If you haven't try wheat bran, Ofu This is really good to try Next shop is on the Nakamise street which is Mangandoh It offers sweet potato pie This is a mixed dessert between Japanese and European style This is Imokuripai Imo means sweet potato and Kuri means chestnut Sweet potato paste and chestnut paste are sandwiched by pies So it's really flaky and really crispy Top pie is coated by some caramel or something so it's slightly crispy but bottom pie is just normal so it's really soft and flaky Inside is sweet potato paste and chestnut and also Anko, sweet red bean paste It looks really good Okay, Itadakimasu Because it's pie crust there're lots of layers, crispy layers inside It's so flaky and so crispy Texture is really nice Sweet potato and chestnut paste taste really rich It's so flavorful This is very good Anko also has gentle taste This is the great combination between European style and Japanese style dessert This is really good Next shop is Kaminari Issa This is a very famous Matcha specialized shop We can enjoy various kinds of Matcha desserts I got Matcha latte from Kaminari Issa Kaminari Issa is a Matcha specialized shop so we can enjoy very fine Matcha This is normal thickness of Matcha latte Itadakimasu It tastes so good Matcha tastes really rich but it doesn't bitter at all It slightly has astringent of Matcha but it tastes so good This is normal level of Matcha latte but we can have stronger one strong and super strong ones Not only Matcha latte Kaminari Issa also offers Matcha ice cream and cream puff And so many other Matcha products These are really good for souvenirs How about for your friends We can also have Matcha making experience in Kaminari Issa This is really interesting Once you take it, you'll see everything about Matcha If you are Matcha person, you can't miss it The next shop is one of the oldest shop in Asakusa which is Kimuraya It's been here over 100 years and it offers Ningyoyaki, Japanese style pancake A Ningyoyaki craftsman makes Nigyoyaki at the shop so we can eat very fresh and hot Nigyoyaki right away Each Ningyoyaki is made by the craftsman so each Ningyoyaki shape is slightly different And this is the classic way to make Ningyoyaki from long time ago It smells great Eggy and sweet aroma are fantastic The Ningyoyaki craftsman put blob of sweet red bean paste (Anko) in dough but we can select with Anko or without Anko I'll give you the review of Nigyoyaki to end up the video This is Ningyo Yaki Ningyo Yaki is one of the historical snack in Japan It's like Japanese style pancake It's really soft and fluffy Inside, filling is red bean paste It's sometimes smashed and it's sometimes mashed It's really smooth and sweet Okay, Itadakimasu This is good Ningyo Yaki dough is really soft but it's really chewy Nigyo means doll in Japanese It's baked and shaped as something like other things such as pigeon, temple doll, or some other things That's why we call it Ningyo Yaki Size is not that big, it's only bite sized so we can casually share and it's really great street food in Asakusa How was the street food around Sensoji temple?
