hey good morning today I'm gonna be loading some buckshot in 12-gauge I'm gonna be using some blue dot powder some number one buckshot which is 300 thousands died a meter and the reason I'm using the single bucks the number one buckshot instead of like double odd or triple heart is because you can stack three across without dimple in your shell which makes them difficult flood sometimes we use some new REO holes that I bought I bought these at crapping sons and they sell them for about a nickel apiece and that's with the primer so I mean if you shoot them one time and toss them you've got your money out of them but you can reload them I've reloaded them several times okay I picked out the wad that I want now I do like loading in these clear holes because you can see right in there and see exactly what you got loaded but they're about 12 to 15 cents apiece depending on where you buy them they also are primed and you can reload these as well so I got into my buckshot manual that I got BPI ballistic products and picked up my load and I've shot this low several times I'd say probably fifty or a hundred times so it's a real good load but you got to get in there yourself pick out the powder you want if you want to use blue dot or Universal or clays or whatever it is you want to use and then whatever amount of powder whatever volume of powder you want to use depending on if you want a really powerful load or you want a low recoil load whatever you want okay and if you've been loading shotgun shells for a while you probably pretty much know what you want to load I'm going to be doing these in a roll crimp and I'm also going to do some and a fold folding clip on my back jr. okay so the roll plant I've got a double pin roll crimper here that I bought I've just got to mount it on my cordless drill and you can load them either way with the same amount of powder so I've worked up my load I got my scoop of powder here and I am using blue dot powder so I'm gonna dump my powder in here it's a full scoop I take my wide drop it in this little deep primer that I built I just use that to kind of compress it I like to turn it upside down and compress it because it's got that little concave and above the gas seal at the bottom of the other wide I just like to turn them upside down and push just to make sure that all the air is out and that there's nothing but powder in there now for this particular load you're gonna be loading nine pellets one two three and you can see they stack across in a nice little stack of three and they just drop right in there okay so here goes four five six four five six and you see those stacked in there let's see how they just go every other one three more seven eight and nine and there they are you can see they're right up to the top of the wide now I like to take a clear overshot card because I I can see down in there there's one I've already loaded and I could see down in there to see what it is I'm gonna put a clear overshot card on top of here and I'll take my roll crimp you can't put a little drop of oil in here to help the roll cramp I just get a good hold on it and just take a look shake it to see if everything's good and tight it is and just that quick I've got me a load of buckshot nothing no sound nothing nothing vibrating in there nothing okay okay let's do the same thing but we're gonna do a folded crimp so we take another hole give me another another scoop of powder same exact amount of powder same wide push it in there force it in you could use your mech to put the water in there as well I'll do the next one like that my nine pellets one two three four five six seven eight nine this time I'm not going to use a overshot cardi all make sure you got a good taper crimp on there and that's a good little crimp a little bit over crown but it's alright guys it don't take much to load buckshot it's easy to use easy to easy to load and considering the cost of box a buckshot this is the easy inexpensive way I've been in it you're looking at a five cent hole you know few pennies and powder the wad which I bought them sell for like $5 100 the overshot cards a couple pennies out thinking I'm thinking I paid like I don't know ten dollars maybe and then the buckshot itself i buy this jar it's eight pounds and I'm I want to say it was thirty eight dollars you can also cast your own if you want to and in just a couple of minutes you've got yourself a round of buckshot I've loaded a whole hole basically a whole box of buckshot here in about 10 minutes and that was start to finish getting all my stuff out and everything now like I said I do like the clear shells the clear halls because you can see through them and I even put a clear over shot card on this one but these these real holes are real inexpensive graphing some five dollars 100 and they'll sell them to you one hundred five hundred thousand whatever you want I think I bought five hundred when I got them you get a little bit of a discount for buying the volume but it's a easy way to get into loaded shotgun shells the roll crimp you know that's 20 bucks or so versus using the mech jr. which I think I paid a couple hundred dollars for so you don't have to have the mech gene you can just roll crimp them just a little bit of hand tools and you can be reloading buckshot well guys thank you for joining me today I hope this helps you out just a little bit please subscribe to my videos I've got several other videos loaded shotgun shells I've got some brass shells that I reload as well as rifle and pistols that I reload well thank you for joining me today have a great day talk to you later
