11 Mice In One Night. The Rolling Log Mouse Trap In Action. Best Mouse Trap Ever

you today for mousetrap Monday we're gonna review the rolling log mousetrap this is a very simple design it's just a metal cylinder that rotates along a center rod the center rod is cut to a perfect length to fit across a five-gallon bucket so I'll go install that now and show you how this trap works when you have your bucket you drill two holes across from each other and you're ready to install your rolling log mousetrap simply place the end of those rods in the holes and then make sure that Center cylinder spins freely that's what's key to making this trap so effective now all you need to do is put a little peanut butter or bait right in the middle of this rolling log and then a ramp for the mice to climb up to get to it I also fill this halfway up with water and a little dish soap for the mice to drop into and drowned and you can catch a lot of mice in one night they'll come up that ramp walk along this little rolling log to get that peanut butter they'll spin and dump them right into the water now some people might comment that why do you need to buy a professionally made one there's dozens and dozens of videos on how to make these kind of traps with soup cans soda cans you can make it with household items very easily and it works great it's the same design I just bought this one on eBay it was about seven dollars and it works great so I thought I'd try it out this is what the rolling log mousetrap looks like when it's all ready to catch mice I screwed on two ramps here on either side of the bucket so the mice can come right up either side of the ramp we'll put the bait or the peanut butter right in the middle and that thing will spin freely and dunk these mice right in the water so we'll see how many mice we can catch in one night with this rolling log mousetrap all we need to do is bait this I'm gonna put quite a bit in the center here just spread that with my finger and the mice will come out and try to get that and get dumped right there in the water we'll go set up the motion cameras here in the barn and just see how many mice we can catch trying to get this peanut butter on this rolling log mousetrap I went into the barn this morning to check our rolling log mousetrap and I'm amazed at what I found there are 11 dead mice floating in this water this trap was catching mice all night long the design is so simple but so effective you put this in your barn or your garage and you'll control a rodent population in a hurry this is by far one of the most effective mouse traps that I've ever tried not tried quite a few and if you don't want to kill them if you don't want to have water in here some people don't like the drowning you don't have to put water in there you just come in the morning and you'll have a whole bucket full of live mice and you can relocate them out in the wild now again you don't have to buy this trap it is a really good design and it's not that expensive but you can make this with wire and a soda can but I am really impressed with this style the bucket trap with a rolling device in the middle the mice can't resist it you
