Hey everyone, the prepatch is now over, Burning
Crusade Classic is finally here and everyone’s goal for the next few weeks, months or even
couple years will be to get their main or alt characters from level 60 to 70 as fast
as possible, Outland is quite different than Azeroth when it comes to leveling, if you’re
looking for a 1 to 60 leveling guide we also made one on this channel but for this video,
we’re going to be focusing specifically on the 60 to 70 side of things in Outland. Obviously different people will level using
different methods, you have the usual solo quest leveling that most people will be doing
and you also have solo grinding or even group dungeon farming, but no matter what leveling
method you choose to go with to level, this video got you covered, today we’re gonna
talk about 10 important leveling tips that will help you all throughout your journey
in Outland which will shave off hours of leveling time for you, with a slight focus on solo
quest leveling as that’s what most of us will be doing throughout the expansion, there
will be a few things that we talked about in the past in this channel so keep this in
mind if you’re a regular, but without further a due, let’s get into the video. Let’s first talk about things you can do
before even setting foot in Outland and that will have a significant impact on your leveling
speed, first, let’s quickly talk about consumables, whether you’re questing alone or doing a
dungeon with a group, consumables will shave off tens of minutes, and even upwards of hours
to your 60 to 70 leveling time, First and foremost, flasks, flasks are awesome
for leveling because not only are they really strong but they also persist through death,
so while leveling you’re definitely getting your money’s worth with flasks, the good
news is, and you’ll hear me say this a lot for this part of the video, Classic WoW has
been running for 2 years and people have been stockpiling a lot of stuff that they have
no use for anymore, so you’ll see prices for flasks drop significantly on the auction
house since the prepatch started a couple weeks ago, take advantage of that and get
yourself some cheap flasks while you can. Last but not least, another type of very important
leveling consumable is healing and mana potions, those are not only very useful to save you
tens of minutes of corpse running in case you pull a lot of mobs by mistake, but they
also make leveling very efficient, you can just chug healing or mana potions one after
the other after each fight to quickly get back into action without having to sit down
drinking or eating, those are also extremely cheap right now, barely over vendor price
on my server, so get them while you can, they will be very useful. Moving on, our second tip is about world buffs,
thankfully world buffs are getting retired in Burning Crusade but they will still work
up to level 64. For those who don’t know, real quick world
buffs are powerful buffs that you can grab all around Azeroth and than you can then store
with an item called Choronoboon Displacer for later use, those have been used extensively
throughout Classic for raiding content but stated earlier, they will not work above level
64. So while you can, you should take advantage
of world buffs for leveling, they will become more and more rare to get as there will be
less people doing Onyxia or clearing Dire Maul Tribute obviously, but if you manage
to get yourself some or even all the world buffs available and store them in a Chronoboon
and then pop it before going through the Dark Portal, you’ll notice a significant improvement
to your kill speed, making leveling way faster depending on how many you grabbed. So now that you’re prepared and you finally
set foot through the Dark Portal, what are some things you can do to make your leveling
faster ? Well, first and foremost, as soon as you land in either Honor Hold or Thrallmar,
go ahead and grab yourself the new and improved types of Food, water and arrows from the vendors
around the place. Again those will make it way more efficient
and faster for you to kill mobs and quickly move to the next mob making the overall leveling
process faster. And while you’re there, there’s another
interesting vendor you need to keep in mind while leveling, the white quality gem vendor,
this NPC sells very basic gems for gear with sockets on it, you’re probably not gonna
come across gear with socket until the late 60s while leveling, but there’s no reason
to leave those sockets empty if you get a piece of gear with those on it, so remember
to come back here to buy some basic gems to quickly socket your gear. Another tip that I wanted to mention, and
this one is specifically for questing, at launch, and for the first few weeks probably,
Outland will be completely packed with players, competing with other players is going to be
a nightmare, to be fair that’s why dungeon grinding or group leveling is faster in general,
but if you decide you want to level through questing, just go ahead and always try to
group up with as many players as possible, if there’s 5 different players doing the
same quest in a given area, all those players could be done way faster with that quest and
move on with their life if they would just group up. So if you’re doing a quest in the outside
world, especially quests where you have to kill a specific amount of mobs, go ahead and
invite the people around to not compete with each other and be done way quicker. This is something we mentioned in the past
but while leveling, making use of bank alts is going to be a significant boost to your
speed, instead of wasting tens of minutes of your time sorting out your bags, throwing
away and probably vendoring expensive stuff, you could instead just make a bank alt and
just throw any non bop items to them through the mail, and then worry about all of that
once you’re 70 instead of while leveling, that’s just one less thing to worry about
while leveling. Small bonus tip here, mail is actually instant
between alts now in TBC, you don’t know you missed instant mail until you have it
taken away from you for two years in Classic, but Blizzard went ahead and added back instant
mail between alts, so use and abuse that as much as you can, it can be a life saver at
times. Next up we have training, in TBC there’s
10 new levels and also a bunch of new spells that come with those and you should really
grab them as soon as you can, unlike in Classic where you only received new spells every other
level, in TBC you actually receive spells more frequently, sometimes every levels between
60 and 70 for some classes and for some spells you should really stop everything you’re
doing and get them as soon as possible, for example Steady Shot for hunters at level 62
to name just one. Keep in mind class trainers are only available
in Azeroth so you’ll have to go back to your capital city to grab those. Speaking of which, when you’ll want to go
to Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or anywhere else really, you’ll see that Shattrath has portals
to all those locations neatly put around the place, but you’ll also notice that once
you take one of those portals, there’s no way to really go back, so your only option
is to use your heathstone, which could be on cooldown, ask a mage for a portal or simply
go back on foot. To circumvent that you can make use of ghetto
hearthing, we talked about this a lot of this channel but to quickly go over it again, if
your heathstone is on cooldown, you can group up with someone and then enter an instance,
like Stormwind Stockades or Ragefire Chasm, give the other person lead and then leave
the group yourself, once you do that you’ll be teleported to your heathstone location
after one minute even if it is on cooldown. Another way to quickly go back if your heathstone
is on cooldown is to ask a mage obviously, but if you happen to have a mage which is
level 65 or more, remember that you can actually portal your alts if you need to, just get
someone to help you group up with your alt, make a portal on your mage and just relog
to your alt and you’ll simply be able to use the portal before it disappears. So we talked about the different methods of
leveling but one advantage to leveling through dungeons exclusively is to be able to hit
revered quickly once you’re level 70 and unlock heroic dungeons, you see low level
dungeons in Outland only give you reputation with their respective faction up to honored
but quests in the world do not have a reputation cap. So one approach that a lot of players will
take to quickly reach revered is to level exclusively through dungeons to hit honored
and then go back to Hellfire Peninsula and Zangar March once they’re 70 to quickly
get to revered, or just farm Shattered Halls or Steamvaults as those are the only two dungeons
that give reputation past honored with those two factions. But I wouldn’t be too worried about this
if you’re leveling normally through questing, this is my hunter which I leveled on the Beta
exclusively through questing and as you can see I’m well above honored and would only
need to do a few runs of Shattered Halls or Steamvaults to reach revered, which would
arguably be even faster than if I did the method previously mentioned depending on how
crowded Hellfire Peninsula or Zangarmarch is. Obviously dungeon grinding or group cleaving
is not only good for that but also because it’s simply going to be way faster than
questing with how packed the world will be early on, so if you can find a group of 4
other reliable friends, you should really consider dungeon leveling as it will be way
faster, especially early on, and on top of that you’ll be able to get attuned to heroic
dungeons faster to an extent. Speaking of attunements, while leveling, no
matter what method you’re going for, you should grab your Karazhan attunement quest
as soon as you hit level 68, the Kara attunement is going to be a requirement to enter Karazhan
in the first few phases of the game and you want to grab it as soon as you hit level 68,
that way if you happen to incidentally do the dungeons required for some of those quests,
at least you’ll be able to hit two birds with one stone and get some progress on your
Kara attunement, it’s not a very difficult one to get done but it is long and you want
go finish it asap. Finally I wanted to talk about a few very
useful addons you can use while leveling, the first one is WideQuestLog, this makes
your quest log bigger and significantly easier to navigate, it will save you the hassle of
scrolling down very slowly through the list of quests to find what you’re after. Next obviously we have Questie, everyone should
have this while leveling as it has a lot of very important leveling features that will
make your life way easier, grab it and go to the options and look around for some useful
features you can enable. And then the last addon that everyone should
be using really is Leatrix Plus, this addon has a ton of very useful features that will
be useful not only while leveling but even at max level, so just like questie, install
it, go in the options and look around for the feature it offers and enable what you
think would be useful to you. With that, this marks the end of this video,
I hope you found it interesting, as always, if you did, give it a like and subscribe to
the channel for more content like this, thank you all very much for watching and I will
see you in the next one very soon, bye for now.
