I like Jonah, I think he's taking it lightly.
I do think these "so and so's favorite things" videos are kinda cringy anyway.
I was a bit of a bully when I was in high school.
Of course, I didn't think I was at the time. Because I had my own shit going on that was causing my behavior.
But, one time, years after I'd graduated, I ran into a woman who called me out. She laid it out for me and I couldn't deny it.
I was mean. I was cruel. Not to everyone. But to some.
I tried to use that realization to make me a more kind person. I thought I could move past my trauma and become a better human being.
Then I watched this video.
what the fuck
My first essential: Celsius kiwi guava sparkling energy drink. I might just be, like, the biggest mark for marketing of all time..but it's like a health food/Redbull.
So there's like vitamins and they sell it at like health food stores.. but I think it's just like a really well marketed drink with a ton of caffeine in it. and everyone thinks I own it because whenever you work with me I, like, get people hooked on Celsius.
My greatest achievement was this movie I did, "Don't Look Up". By the end of the movie: Leo, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, and Mark Rylance were all hooked on Celsius so.... if y'all wanna send me a bunch of shit I don't own the company or anything like that I just need this shit to wake up and do my job.
I don't even drink coffee anymore.
I call it director juice.
The dudes just a poser. Like how he made a skate movie and was suddenly a huge skate nerd that grew up skating but theres no footage of him ever on a board, made his money and now he's on to surfing. Bleached his hair and everything
2 years and still on a foamie? Fire your manager, Jonah.
Be nice heβs probably on this sub
I thought the interview was fine. You have to remember Jonah Hill was type cast for years as a the fat loser. The guy is literally just trying to enjoy life at this point in his career and constantly has people bringing up βthe change in direction of his career.β Itβs probably exhausting constantly having to explain your success to people who thought youβd never be capable of such. He probably got paid your yearly salary for this interview. There are a lot more things to get upset about than a 10 minute video of someone 10x more successful than yourself. Hollywood culture is all a big weird sham in its own way. I imagine there are a lot of people who feel that same way you do about this interview, but for other interviews of celebrities, where they are just trying to be genuine.
eh this video just makes me like jonah more.
he's not making any claims about his skill, he's just nerding out on this shit that he just got into in a positive way. good for him.
