10 Reasons to Play a Red Mage in FFXIV

[Music] oh yeah all right it's finally time I already gave you the 10 reasons why you should play every Final Fantasy 14 race and I think it's a time for another series I know I've been making you guys wait for too long but trust me it's gonna be worth it there are just so many jobs in 14 it's so hard to choose which one's the best for you do you want to be a Caster a DPS a tank a tank that looks like a Healer A Healer that looks like a tank there are so many options sometimes it gets too confusing sometimes you need someone to tell you what to do or what you like well lucky for you that's what I do on this channel on a daily basis no I won't step on you get away hey it's avicats and this is 10 reasons why you should play a Red Mage in Final Fantasy 14. this is the first video of my 10 reasons to play every Final Fantasy 14 job Series so sit back sip on your Fantasia and enjoy the ride without wasting any more time let's start with the first reason why you should play a Red Mage in 14. red Mages are the perfect hybrid being a DPS and a support that means you can boom blast destroy your enemies with your super shiny magic tricks while also stealing the commendations from your tanks and healers no I'm not resentful at all why will I be that may just might be considered as casters but don't let that deceive you they are much more than that they cast their powerful Magics from a safe distance but that's not good enough for them they also like to get close and personal with their enemies and further disrespect them by poking them with their stick and that's a very pointy stick I don't imagine it would feel good on top of all of that they can heal and rescue their party members if you're having a hard time deciding between a Healer a melee DPS or a ranged DPS Red Mage might be just for you why are redmich getting all the cool stuff it almost feels unfair to the other jobs in 40. reason 2 red Mages are the real hearts of the party remember what I said about the commendations at the beginning I wasn't kidding you get so many commendations as a Red Mage it may just bring so much utility to the party that it can be crucial in some challenging encounters as of now there are only two DPS jobs who can rescue other players Red Mage is one of them if one of your healers die at the same time you'll have to rely on a Red Mage or a Summoner to rescue them before a party Vibe this makes them a crucial part of the party especially in learning runs and newer content I personally love to play a Red Mage right after a new patch or a new expansion because I know so many people will be doing Blind runs because you know it's more fun to learn the content by actually playing it you'll be wiping and dying a lot In Those runs having a Red Mage around makes it at least a little easier and don't forget about the commendations I want all of them Reason 3 Red Mage is easy to play all those buttons in your hot bar might seem intimidating at first there are so many of them you don't know which one to press they are all so shiny well first of all just take a moment and read all the descriptions I know reading is not fun but you'll have to do it just one time and you'll know what button to press and in which order I believe in you you could mates might feel strange to you when you're first starting but once you get used to it you'll figure out it's actually really straightforward and easy to play the casting paste revolves around casting short spells the proc dual cast and then instantly casting long spells after it if there's a downtown during the fight the healing spell can be used to proc dealcast as well this Steel Cast can also be used to revive your party members instantly the Spells you use will fill up these bars in your gouge which then you'll use to poke your enemies from clothes it's a lot simpler and easy to get used to it than other casters so if you want to start playing casters but you don't know which one to start with Red Mage might be a good and easy choice for you reason 4 Red Mage is really mobile for a Caster I'd like to emphasize one more time for a Caster it's still not the most mobile job in 14. Casters in this game are in famous for well not smoking unless it's completely necessary there are certain times they refuse to move even when it is necessary think of Red Mage like a caster with a Mobility Scooter they might not be fast but they got the spirits grid may just have a lot more time to move in between their dual casts they also have a charge ability to get closer to their enemies and Reason 5 backflip do I really need to elaborate on this just be careful not to backflip off the map or you can keep doing that if you'd like to I mean it makes me laugh I do it way too often than I'd like to admit it's definitely more fun when others fall off the map and not me these are not my proudest moments at all reason 6 and I know for a fact this is the most important reason for some of you Red Mage climbers are so pretty just look at him look at her look at this little dude I don't know about you but that's what I call an established gentleman red Majors definitely know how to dress up and the job specific gear they get are some of my favorites in game most of their gear come in red but you can dye it to whatever color you want I absolutely love the little bows and the Frills they have on their gears it's just so cute they also have the fanciest hats ever I love walking around the main cities with these on I look like a huge traffic lamp that I keep all the attention on me right come on don't be shy try it on oh oh right sorry no hats for Viera yet you'll eventually get those too don't worry keep your hopes up don't sulk now turn that frown upside down you still get to have these unique weapon designs red Majors weapons in Final Fantasy 14 are a bit different from what we are used to instead of using a magical stuff or a wands they use a sword and a magical focus when they are casting their spell as they combine these magical focuses with their swords to use it like a makeshift stuff and of course when they get close to their enemies they use their swords to poke them really really hard their weapons usually have very unique designs and I'm sure whoever is designing these weapons are having way too much fun they get so creative with these whenever they add new weapons to the game Red Mage weapons are one of the few I always check first they just love to surprise us with these little jump scares these magic focuses just have too much meme potential reason 8 red Mages are self-sustainable question all by yourself handsome I know a lone wolf when I see one you seem a bit maideness to me so don't walk us alone weird Mages can heal themselves easily this can be really useful whenever you're questing alone or when a Healer is unavailable red Mages are perfect for solo content and deep dungeons if you are into solo content Red Mage might be a good choice for you make sure not to die though I don't think you can rescue yourself yeah that doesn't sound very possible don't think that's gonna work can you please stop spamming that button already reason 9 Red Mage animations are so pretty you have spectral blades you have flowers and petals flying around everything is so wonderfully colorful and bright maybe a bit too bright even you might need sunglasses while playing Red Mage wait what are you doing I don't like that look on your face you're not planning to limit break are you wait oh no wait foreign [Music] [Music] and that's the last reason why you should play a Red Mage in Final Fantasy 14. they have a pretty cool limits break and that's the end of my list for today I hope you like my video if you liked don't forget to give this video a like And subscribe to my channel for more content like this also let me know in the comment section down below which Final Fantasy 14 jobs should I make a video about next Red Mage was the first job you guys chose but there are still so many other jobs in 14. comment down below what's your favorite job in 14 is and maybe my next video will be about it thank you so much for all your support and with a special thanks to the channel members for supporting my caffeine addiction seriously thank you so much I couldn't do it without you guys thanks to you I can actually spare enough time to make these videos I love your guts and as always I'll see you in my next video stay cozy please
