hi i'm cherish tuttle and i just wanted to give a few healthy ways of singing what i do teach is a combination of speech level singing in the mix methods and it's very healthy for the voice helps you strengthen your vocal cords and what what you have as an individual artist and so here i'm going to bring forward to you a few warm-ups that you can do every day that if you do them correctly will strengthen your voice immensely okay so this first warm up i want you to do on a knee knee like your kneecap that's the kind of valve we're going to be on and so we'll kind of start in the lower range and we'll move it on up and i'll try and do it with you just to give you an example of maybe how it should sound a little bit very relaxed we never want to tense up our vocal cords just be very relaxed okay here we go me me me me this next one we're going to be on a mum mum okay and so we'll kind of do this a middle range seeing where you feel comfortable if it ever hurts stop and we'll just keep going on a mum and i'll do it with you for a little bit and then you just keep on going me just keep going a little bit more advanced we'll do it on a me as in me myself um we'll start out low we'll go high stop if it hurts and just sing where you can okay so once again we're doing this on a gu and it's almost like you're guzzling down something a go go the reason why i like this vowel this word on a gu is because it really drops our larynx and you'd be surprised that you can actually sing a lot higher than you thought just because of dropping that larynx using our diaphragm using that chest voice and going transitioning easily between our chest voice to our head voice and then back down to the chest voice i think that's the key as once we get into our head voice go back down to that core that chest voice so we'll start here lower will go higher don't go higher than what hurts or if it tenses up just do what feels very natural to you foreign foreign go okay just keep going let's go back down keep that very good sound good okay so now this is for the more advanced we're gonna go the full octave still on the go and it's really difficult to be able to transition between the chest the head just keep working on it i still work on it too and so let's start on a gut again now it's going to be through the full octave just keep going just so we can do a few things just descending on down starting high thing going lower we're going to do on an uh or wherever we start but just make sure that your jaw kind of drops stays a very oh shape inside there and just make sure our larynx is staying down soft palate kind of lifted up in there and here we go foreign
