this year has created a need for spending some time in some other worlds let me tell you hi folks it's falcon and today on game ranks here's the 10 longest single player experiences of 2020. at number 10 is immortals phoenix rising which you might be a little bit surprised to find is just above 20 hours it can take anywhere between 20 and 26 hours to complete the main story which is not particularly long however in some ways it's kind of an experimental gam for the developers they'd previously made assassin's creed odyssey and there is so much incorporated from breath of the wild here as well as like a lot of particularly well done role playing systems it's kind of like breath of the wild meets skyrim meets assassin's creed odyssey and in truth i think it's probably one of the more satisfying games i've played in a while if you want to be a completionist it's going to take you well over 50 hours to do everything but clocking in at between about 20 and 26 hours for the main story that's a pretty good experience as far as i'm concerned especially considering the quality of all of it and number nine is last of us part two now this is a game that takes roughly a day to complete if you don't sleep don't eat don't go to the bathroom or anything else it can take anywhere from between about 22 to 26 hours it is a highly story driven game and there is a lot to find if you decide to go outside the confines of the main story you can end up spending nearly 40 hours on this thing accounting for taste too it is also very well done uh if a little controversial and definitely caused a bit of a stir based in its storytelling choices however whether it made you mad sad or you were satisfied with it it was very interesting on top of that the gameplay was surprisingly not particularly different from the previous game it was a little refined but as far as i'm concerned it really felt like playing an extension the previous game which is great because the last of us was freaking amazing plus playing a game after what takes place after a national pandemic kind of feels relevant too hopefully it doesn't look anything like this but this is one that'll keep you guessing if you didn't spoil it for yourself and number eight is ghost of tsushima which is also about a day in length can take you anywhere between about 23 to 27 hours now this is more specifically an open world game and kind of gives you a little bit more to do in terms of completionist stuff more along the lines of immortals than last of us bring us in at nearly 60 hours if you want to play it as a completionist it is a beautiful game so stopping and smelling the roses is a thing that like it's not a bad thing to do it goes to tsushima in fact it's something i'd even recommend you do people have taken so many pictures with photo mode it's just this gorgeous like art project on top of being a fantastic action and stealth game it also tells a very interesting story that i don't know if i've played a game that manages to tell kind of a samurai story as well but on top of that is fantastic and satisfying and fun and interesting basically every minute of it and number seven is the demon souls remake now keeping in mind this is a remake we have all kind of known how long this game is for a long period of time however it being such a different experience visually kind of necessitates a play through in my opinion at least if you like the game and or series of games especially if you're interested in where it started and how it progressed from there there are a number of differences in demon souls from the dark souls game and it comes in at about 29 to 33 hours i wouldn't be shocked if you beat it at around 30ish hours however if you really want to go for broke and find everything this is about an 80-hour experience like it's a ton of time like you could make it your full-time job for two weeks straight and i'm not gonna lie there have certainly been weeks this year where video games have been that for me this was the road map for all of the dark souls games and it's certainly interesting to spend that 30ish hours in it at number 6 is mount and blade 2 bannerlord now this is a game that takes place 210 years before the mountain blade warband expansion and gives you a very large amount of stuff to occupy yourself with this is one of those games where the main story is i mean it's pretty long you're talking mid 30 hour area between 34 and 38 hours i'd say but if you're going full completionist you're talking above 100 hours now in our totals we're not even talking about like multiplayer but really if you're looking for something to fill up some time with mountain blade 2 banner lord's multiplayer is like really phenomenal for that it's not main story stuff it's just battles but the battles are so freaking great it's obviously not a part of our main consideration here but i thought it was worth mentioning anyways this is a really pretty version of mountain blade 2 bannerlord that adds some strategic changes in the game and i think definitely worth the time at number five is yakuza like a dragon which is just this huge change for the yakuza series like for the most part it's the same except for the fighting is a jrpg and this is a nice long game it's gonna keep you occupied for probably between 44 to 47 48 hours if you're just concentrating on the main story and believe me it is an interesting game that i really actually think the jrpg combat works really well in now if you want to do full on completionist you're talking about nearly 100 hours probably mid 90s maybe 94 96 hours i feel like this is a game that uh should be kind of an offshoot series of yakuza because i would like more of these but i would also like more of the regular yagaza titles but either way this is a really great game and a nice meaty helping of content just to waste some pandemic time you know really a great effort on the part of the developers at number four is neo2 again we're talking about mid-40s in terms of hours on the main story i'd say probably between 44 and 48 again neo2 really builds on the base that was created for the first camp uh this time around you do get to design your character you do still have a pretty specific role in the story uh the beginning chapters of the game take place before the first game and the end chapters take place after so it's kind of a sequel slash prequel a lot of this game is managing various systems and it manages to do a lot sometimes maybe too much i don't know i think some players might be a little intimidated by the sheer number of systems in it however once you learn them they're actually pretty rewarding and feel good to take part in and given you just have so much meat in this there's so much to do in the o2 and the story is so enjoyable and good the 44 46 maybe even 48 hours you spend in it is great but if you really want to dive in you're at a hundred plus hours for doing a hundred percent it's wild at number three is assassin's creed valhalla which is one of those games is just not playing around with how much content you actually get when you're going through the main story in this game it's gonna take you over 50 hours probably i'd say upper 40s at bare minimum but probably in the 50 to 54 range which is great because i mean basically everything in this game is super interesting i would say that this maintains a very high standard for historical fiction more along the lines of the earlier assassin's creed games there are a few of them that were kind of yeah as far as that goes but there's so much lore and detail and stuff in this game i love the fact that you end up spending this much time with the main experience now like i said if you're going completionist 100 this is probably around 120 hours worth of content not gonna be shocked if it actually takes you plenty of more time depending on your play style but in terms of aaa games this is probably one of the biggest and best packages of the year and number two is crusader kings 3 which i've tried a lot of times to reduce describing this game to a minute worth it's a just a huge strategy game it is difficult it is like wild in its depth the amount of systems planning management that exists i mean this is a dynasty simulator and it lives up to that name uh if you're gonna play the main game you're talking about like nearly 80 hours worth of play i would say mid 70s to 80s in terms of hours spent on this game in the main i've been talking about how much it takes to 100 there's not really a way to 100 crusader kings 3. but needless to say there is just a massive amount of stuff to do and you can pretty much play this game as much as you wanted to i mean basically anybody who likes this kind of game who i have talked to has been like crusader kings 3 is fantastic i enjoyed it a lot it is really a great successor to crusader kings 2 and it had been way too long and finally at number one is persona 5 royal which if you are playing this game through to the credits just a mainline playthrough is over a hundred hours like you could probably rush it and get through and maybe 95 96. but i feel like that would require at least a little luck because this is just a long game with a ton of stuff in it the original persona 5 was but they added so much to royal like there's a third semester there are a lot of new things that just happen in like any random part of the game there's more characters there's more places to go there's just so much going on and it again was a long game in the first place i have not 100 at this game just so you are aware but apparently it can take more than 140 hours to do which is wild that is so much time on a single game i've got a quick bonus game for you here too you might be guessing which one that is and that's cyberpunk 2077. now yeah there's a lot of controversy going on with this game but that doesn't mean that if you're playing on a platform that it works properly on it's not worth playing because it is mainline you're talking 20 hours but there's over 80 hours of stuff to do in this game you could end up spending possibly even 90 hours of time in the game depending on what you're doing but what about you did you smash any of these times or would it take even longer we'd be really interested in hearing your game times and also how you played did you play mainline did you try to do 100 leave us a comment let us know if you like this video click like if you're not
