hey everyone in this video I have some more building tips to build better houses in bloxburg so let's just get right into it [Music] my first tip is to plan out your builds before you start anything having a plan saves you a lot of time and money when you're building to plan your build I would recommend these following steps first get some inspiration and save some pictures then decide how many rooms and how many floors you want next plan out your color scheme and lastly start making the layout for your house this is going to help you a lot my second tip is to give your house space from the sidewalk this allows you to have room for gardening and just enough space for the front of your house I'd recommend at least six squares or more of distance between the sidewalk and your house if you have extra Landscaping like Hills or just a big yard I would recommend 10 squares or more I'm giving my house about 13 squares of space for this build because I want to have a really big balcony and a lot of landscaping foreign [Music] speaking of the front of your house I'd advise connecting the past to your house to the sidewalk or road for your pathway paint it medium Stone gray and concrete and it looks like an extension of the sidewalk which fits really well with the mat for your driveway you can put a resized carpet by the sidewalk so it covers it completely like this then you can paint it black and concrete and it looks like it's an extension of the road if the sidewalk goes up like it does on some parts of the map you can place a carpet on a basic Cube the same height as the sidewalk right next to the sidewalk and it'll look the same both of these tricks look amazing and like a part of the map I'm connecting my house to the sidewalk since it doesn't actually have a driveway [Music] my next tip is to add balconies if you have space balconies and porches add a nice touch to your build they're also good to have four role plays if you role play they really make the exterior look more decorated and finished also add pillars under overhanging roofs and balconies make sure to move them in a bit like this instead of having them right at the corner it looks a lot more realistic this way next you put most of the close-off rooms close to each other instead of scattered all around the build also do the same with open rooms close-up rooms can go in hallways or on the second floor close together having these rooms close together looks way more realistic and organized than just having them anywhere around the house the same reason applies to open rooms having a space with most of your open rooms looks amazing and super realistic as you can see I kept my close-off rooms in groups of at least two and I kept all of my open rooms in basically the same area also don't leave a lot of empty space but don't over clutter either finding a balance between having enough space but not too much is really important too much empty space looks awkward and unrealistic but over cluttering makes our house overwhelming and super cramped anywhere between 4x4 and 6x6 is a good size for most rooms when you decorate make sure there's enough space to walk and actually move around in your rooms you don't have to decorate every single part of the room either just decorate enough so it looks good [Music] my next tip is to only use one or two textures on the exterior walls if you use two textures use a simple texture with a more complex texture using two simple textures is obviously too simple and two complex textures just looks too complicated and overwhelming both of which are really not good for the look of your house I personally love using the striped wood texture you can use it as one texture or with something else for this build I'm using plastic with the striped wood texture I normally don't recommend plastic for exterior walls but you can pull it off with a modern build which is what I'm doing here if you have a lot of Windows plastic with another texture for a modern house can actually look super cute foreign next have a consistent theme this is super important I see a lot of people using modern items for a Suburban house or Suburban items for a modern house as you can see using Suburban items on a modern house looks super out of place and really weird make sure you use items consistent with the theme of your house it will look so much better this way foreign often practicing building makes you a lot better at it try out different things when you build like color themes Styles and builds you can also do building challenges to push you out of your comfort zone some good challenges are no game passes a 5x5 house only using one color Etc the more you practice the better you will get [Music] next add a backyard to your house if you can unless you have a super small or cheap house I'd highly advise a backyard backyards are a great addition to have and add so much detail to your build there's a lot you can add to backyards and they really make the back of your house look way better you can add a pool a hot tub a spa a dining area a deck a patio etc for more affordable options you could add plants outdoor seating a fountain a garden or more [Music] foreign also use shortcuts when you build if you're on a computer or laptop building shortcuts make building way easier and faster some helpful shortcuts are G to delete F to paint shift and F to Quick paint which as you can see Paints the item the same as the last item you painted see to clone Vita scale J to change your grid size H to hide the Grid on the floor Ctrl Z to undo and Ctrl y to redo [Music] foreign [Music] keyboard shortcuts use undo instead of delete whenever you can you can use this button here to undo or press Ctrl Z when you undo you get all of your money back from whatever you just got back but when you delete you only get 70 back undoing saves you a lot of money which you can use to add to your build or make it look better and my last tip is to set a budget for your house if you don't have a lot of money budgeting make sure you will have enough for your house and don't spend all of your money some good budgets are a 50k or 100K don't use a lot of expensive items if you're on a budget since they're gonna add up fast and use all your money if you have to use expensive items like if you're making a modern house like I'm doing try to make the house smaller and have less rooms if you can try to start with achiever items too since they still look really good and then if you have extra money you can move on to more expensive items if you want to It's the final house I made using these building tips I just made the exterior and the backyard and I think it turned out really well with these tips foreign [Music] [Music] those are all the tips I have for this video feel free to comment any of your own down below thank you so much for watching and I'll see you guys next time
