[Music] rio de janeiro has christ the redeemer and here in england we have the angel of the north just look at the gateshead badge gateshead will be the away team that we are seeing play today in the first match i'm going to in 2022 so a massive happy new year i hope you had a great christmas everybody and i cannot wait to uh show you what we've got coming up in 2022 but yeah look at the gateshead badge um despite newcastle being obviously the biggest team in the northeast of england it's actually gateshead and that is the area that we're in now where the angel of the north is situated in it is this more lesser non-league team that i guess people from maybe not this area wouldn't necessarily have heard of before who have one of the uk's most famous landmarks on their badge i've done a lot of derby videos for like non-league teams such as the north london davie you've never heard of the merseyside derby you've never heard of the glasgow derby you've never heard of um they're not non-league but just lower league anyway and the glasgow darby you've never heard of but this one here today might be the northeast derby that you've never heard of playing in the national league north today we are seeing blithe spartans who are second bottom against gateshead who are second top who are looking good and they've got a couple of games in hand on the top team and yet could go up this season and go into the national league for next season the conference the fifth tier today's game will be in the sixth tier live spartans the home team struggling trying not to go down trying to stave off relegation while the awaiting today gateshead are doing the complete opposite and trying to get promotion a massive game which a lot hinges on uh for both teams a massive local derby but i couldn't come to this local derby and not start it here by the angel of the north please do remember to hit that like button and subscribe if you're new again a happy christmas i hope you had a great new year as well and i hope you enjoy this video [Music] behind the angel of the north look at this football pitch here just look at that a football pitch with one of the most recognizable uk landmarks that there is if you wanted to come for a kick about with your mates in a really really famous location in britain then this is the place to come maybe not on a day like today uh look at the squelchiness of the ground but just look at that if that doesn't make for a good instagram post i don't know what will go and follow me on instagram it's always in the description box below or just type it in footy dot adventures it'd be great to uh to see you follow me i'm almost at 10k so it'd be fantastic if we could hit that asap this year and uh yeah i always update it with stories and and when i'm coming to games and stuff like that and again if you want me to go to your club drop it in the comment section below and then i always update on my instagram when i'm coming to places i've already done a story post from the angel of the north so make sure you go and follow me [Music] and so before i leave the angel to go to blind let's have a look at this the angel of an office seen by more than one person every second 90 000 every day and 33 million annually there's some more facts here about it but look how far down it goes you see the angel there that goes so far into the ground that you just wouldn't imagine all right let's go down [Music] something tells me that this isn't supposed to be a beautiful little moat here in blithe look at look at the benches your legs are getting a little bit wet if you sat on that right and why not start 20 22's match day vlogs at the beach in blythe what a beautiful day just check this out yeah and i hope that through these videos especially when i go to rangers and celtic and stuff i've done so much of the outside of those grounds already i feel like people don't always want to see that when i come to these new places especially like the more unknown teams like these non-league matches that i come to i hope to show you a bit of areas around it so you can get a feel for what the northeast of england is like look this is blithe who would have known that this was just 30 mile or 30 minutes away rather from the angel of the north where we were earlier look at these beautiful blue skies blue sea there's light houses up here there seems to be loads to see in blithe um it's just absolutely beautiful and i hope yeah i can get that across in these videos i do also want to say a massive thank you for 2021 the support you guys give me is unbelievable start of the year with about 11 12k subs and ended it with 68k um we're going into the new year now so it makes me really really excited for what 2022 is going to hold in store um it's going to be a mad year which will end with the world cup and guitar god knows what the channel will be like then and if i'll be able to go and what covert is going to be like but yeah just from the bottom of my heart if you've watched once or if you've watched 100 if you subscribed if you've hit that like button or left a comment or follow me on insta twitter whatever all that stuff a massive massive thank you [Applause] and look at this for my first impression of blive spartans the stadium is just the other side of that fence there but look at this this mural on the way in look you can see the spartan uh helmet up there and let me tell you why blife spartans are called live spartans and not fly the athletic or blithe town or blive united or something like that but yeah just firstly look at that mural that is blythe spartans were founded in september of 1899 by a man called fred stoker he was the club's first secretary before forming a practice and becoming a really well sought after physician in london's famous harley street he thought it would be appropriate to name the team after the greek spartan army in the hope that the players would give their all as they went into battle on the field of play yeah look at that that amazing spartan helmet up there and let's just have a quick look at uh this here so the mural is by frank stiles and this is uh his signature of course the photo is by chris hodgetts and the player is robbie dale what a great mural love seeing things like this at new stadiums live spartans fan how has the season been going for you so far yeah i've seen the table shocking second bottom in the league i mean the win the day like it'll be classified it's going to be when like i'm going to go be 3-1 and a big derby match isn't it is there quite a rivalry between the two teams uh yeah a bit like uh there's a decent rival between two teams but in case you win the day fair enough much to think the score will be 3-1 you reckon all right mate enjoy the game you're a gateshead fan yeah and you're so connected with the club is that right yeah yeah club chaplin and um how's the season going for gateshead i think they're doing really well yeah pushing on uh good bunch of lads good team spirit yeah and uh yeah tables looking good your second i think at the moment a couple games in hand hopefully results will go yeah anybody will keep fit of course it's clear obviously absolutely that's a big concern at the moment and is there quite a rivalry between the two teams today well local derbies a local derby wherever you live yeah and would it be a good atmosphere draken today then i'm hoping so yeah and score prediction uh hopefully 3-1 you said perfect all the best mate thank you very much [Music] [Music] uh just one ticket for today please 12 pounds perfect thank you mate cheers see you later would you just explain to everyone what you do here at live spartans um i'll show people to the seats and look after that sometimes look after the disabled people yep and i'll do it and you say you live locally what does the club mean to you oh it's my second warm yeah i love it here looks like a great ground and um big derby of course today as well between two against there spending more one three one that was brilliant yep and um and apparently there's going to be about 1 500 people here today for a six-tier game in england that is amazing isn't it how should the atmosphere be oh i'll be kraken yeah final score prediction i don't know but i'd like to see a blind woman yeah nice i just love to see a blind win and i've got so much fool you nice blind watch and you've got the spartans jacket the tie the hat live's biggest fan thank you very much there's a little present thank you very much oh what a guy right what are you the ultras of life spartans and are you nice you'll be making a load of noise in here right what's um what's the atmosphere going to be like today against gateshead then big right a big rivalry yeah yeah and a score prediction from you all three two you reckon one nil two nil nice boys nice [Applause] and what a guy i think it was alan who i was chatting to just earlier on who um helps out here at the club probably a volunteer and look he's even given me my own life spartans pin badge and look how close she gets the action here's one of the players warming up here before the game yeah look at that my own life spartans pin badge this is why i love non-league football [Applause] [Applause] [Music] right so croft park which is where we are now in 1909 this place was open and we've got the gateshead fans who will be behind that goal and then the rest of the whole stadium will be blithe spartans fans you can pay two quid to go and stand another two quid extra or you can come and stand in the terrace and we all know i'm gonna stand in here i'm gonna try and uh see a bit of gateshead fans from just around here and see if i can pick up a bit of their chanting and stuff and then move around to wherever the singing is as well but this place was opened in 1909 with a friendly against newcastle united the match ended 4-2 to newcastle and then in the centenary year so 100 years later to uh celebrate this stadium being 100 years old they played newcastle again and amazingly it finished 4-2 again unbelievable and there should be about 1 500 people here today for a six tier game we are so lucky in this country to have amazing football teams and supporters like this it's just unbelievable that um two relatively small teams in the grand scheme of world football can attract such great crowds and just look at this a lovely sunny day with the football about to begin [Music] me [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] oh [Applause] [Music] [Music] number nine yes [Music] [Applause] so we've got hibs fan you come all the way from edinburgh today for the game what made you come down to uh to blythe for today's match well it's uh it's a live arena between the two clubs and clubs as well so yeah the company i've never really kept me on a non-league english school before so nice bit of a local derby and um two quick goals as well i've not even been able to speak through the goals but what did you think of them but the first goal for a gateshead pure defender was a good bullet yeah and then for the life goal really well going through the right bag to keep the ball keep balling cut it back and it was a good goal but enjoy the rest of the game mate it's one all now yeah decent start to the game yeah and we've got some more fans here what oh they've gone shy now they've gone what do you think the score's going to be [Music] one you can bribe yeah you said two one it's about they have that [Applause] what a game so far by the way [Applause] [Applause] what turnaround [Applause] who's [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so of course gates said you were second in the league won't wander up and blind to a second bottle now winning 2-1 an incredible derby here so far and these little lantern ladies are absolutely mental just here [Applause] [Applause] right the game's been stopped here towards the end of the first half i think there's an issue with someone in the crowd over there i thought someone was a pitch pitch invading but i think they were trying to stop the game to call the attention of people um of people working here or whatever but yeah someone's either collapsed still being hurt in the other stance so i hope they're all right and the game is resumed hoping that the fan is okay just got stretched half time here in an incredible game so far 2-1 but just look at this guy and then i'll see you in the second half [Music] right the second half has begun and alan the guy who gave me the pin badge earlier saw me hanging around with chat and i think he's going to try and get me some chips although there is this huge line i was like no please don't like i don't mind waiting but don't worry honestly what did you think of the first half anyway hey brilliant i've enjoyed it and you said a spartans win and you went one nil down against a better team now obviously higher in the league yet now spartans are winning this would be a big result for you brilliant yeah yeah robbie deal penny i know brilliant yeah what a guy what a guy hey look i'm getting that sort of before oh thank you very much you're an absolute gent thank you i was great over 2 000 fans are here today 2 000 that's pretty good that was right what do you think about that for a sixth tier game like that to have two thousand fans bloody marvelous [Applause] and i had to stop chatting to my man just five minutes what an absolute top guy um i never got my chips in the end the queue is still there and i didn't want to get ahead of everyone else but yeah look as you can see the game is going on um the second half here and it's been such an exciting game 2 000 people here unbelievable but yeah gate said getting on top so coming around here to film their reaction [Applause] wow he's booked him for diving i do not know if i caught on camera but i look for that look like a pen [Music] the gate said fans are not happy there's not long to go now so um hopefully live can see this one out we'll um capture the reaction of the home fans how's it going you enjoyed the game there's not long left yeah [Applause] as well [Applause] [Music] [Applause] carnage oh what are your thoughts on the game then what are your thoughts on the game [Applause] what a way to start off 2022 and that is why non-league football is the best i just don't get that kind of feeling at any other stadium or any other kind of match day experience i've been to champions league premier league scottish prim europa league euros games on this channel but literally nothing compares to like two smallish towns like coming up against each other um where it really means so much to the local people like the passion at these games is unbelievable over 2 000 people for a sixth tier game unreal if you've got this far in the video i guess you quite liked it so please remember to hit that like button are you a blind fan you're a gateshead fan to let me know your comments on the game in the comment section below and if you support another league club um let me know if you want me to go there um i do get a lot of requests on a kid of minister harry as i get requests from there all the times loads of loads of others as well um and if you aren't going to non-league football where you live you are seriously missing out on some of the best football experiences that you can have a
