the lord be with you and with your spirit a proclamation from the holy gospel according to matthew glory to you o lord the disciples of john approached jesus and said why do we and the pharisees fast much but her disciples does not fast jesus answered them can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them and then they will fast the gospel of the lord praise to your lord jesus christ come holy spirit bless this and worthy priests that i may share with humility and with the heart not just with the lips and people listen with their heart not just to their ears come holy spirit come holy spirit amen sisters and brothers thank you especially the devotees of the sacred heart remember this is the time of the battles and wars so what do we do during the war in any war i guess we just have to learn to [Music] hold on and call on to somebody greater than ourselves that's right length and season we go back to our god because many of us forget our god the invitation every first friday is come to me all you who labor are burdened and i will give you rest right now the lord is telling you who are listening me as i speak come to me you are tired heavily burdened and i will give you rest at least there's someone we can turn to we're not lost that's the first thing to remember there is a god so stay calm stay in peace and what is your invitation of the lord come to me you are tired or burdened i'll give you rest learn from me for i am meek and gentle of heart what is the lord telling us do you have any war going on in your life right now the key is meekness humility okay relationship problems the key is humility today you that's maybe that's what we all need to learn lord to be truly humble means well we are all a a work in progress but just to accept oh lord lord you know when you have a conversation with god you listen to god it's all about me my opinion my my hurts my plans but if you really listen long enough to god oh lord convict me and we all need to learn in nepal and for i am any relationship problem the key is humility or many of us are also other thing is gentleness of heart kindness so in this mass we pray also lord teach us to be more kind unkindness for three levels kindness and thought my god some of us when we look at one another we see here but right away how we condemn and judge people just from here kindness and thoughts be kind to the way you think of others peace number two kindness in words it's so easy to hurt people and kind words teach us not to be unkind in our thoughts and in our words um pope francis was telling us one of the things that about magfasting tayo it only said is fasting from rumors how we spread rumors gossips i don't know kindness in thought in word and in deeds we can we can hurt people by being tough being arrogant being you know so let's pray for kindness okay and one thing to perhaps you should start with is make a good confession that's where it all begins last week a young priest came for a confession i i was so i mean out of nowhere he just called me said it it hit me how how humble he was how honest he was and he just really wanted to be at peace with god and you know listening to him i really felt i was also being told by the lord through this priest to really make a sincere confession and timely confession to pupa so if you want to start start with the heart start with a good confession and one more thing what the lord tells us also today okay young lenten observance not in penance fine that okay the joy the joy of our lenten discipline [Music] see god loves cheerful givers and may i suggest i have said this before i'll say it again until finally porkchop mode look many of us unaware are that knows how to let go a heart that knows to forgive and big that's what the lord is telling us trust the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding this is the heart we like to ask the lord today lord give us gentle hearts humble hearts and joyful hearts especially this lenten season this bow your head and just whisper to the lord then especially for yourself lord to be more humble to be more gentle kind and joyful and please let's not give up pleading to the heart of jesus immaculate heart of mary please lord no more kobe no more wars in this world and peace in our country give us good leaders in our land and your personal requests and intentions to our lord
