have to wear contact lenses when drawing for a really long time so you know these glasses are blessing to my eyes hi i'm [Music] they correct hi good morning i woke up like right before the stream i think i had some pretty realistic dreams i can't recall what they were just remember that they were pretty realistic it's all those strangers just like oh man that was a good dream but i can't remember what it was i think that's what happens with dreams though you just you just remember that it was good or bad and then you just like i don't remember the details 4k dreaming no 8k dreaming you're going beyond 4k now you never remember your dreams ah i i sometimes do there's some dreams i had when i was a kid i still remember like the ones where like the aliens are coming to coming to like abduct me and i was hiding under the bed i don't know if that was real or not though what if it was real i just oh just my my small self was like maybe this is just a dream [Music] you never know their outfit reveals so i wanted to maybe draw them a little i'll draw as many many some pies as i can but i love so hard one when kata senpai was revealing her uh like the predictions that her fans maybe we'll start with blobs blobs are always good blobs are a good choice okay this let's see we start with i wanna at least draw two senpai's today at least caught i want to also try drawing 12 huh wait how big is this canvas i have a lot of empty space but um [Music] where's that window it's over there on another monitor right now this is uh 3744 by 4093 i don't think it's that big in uh comparison to some of the stuff that i draw though like the uh the ending screen [Music] thing i think like it was like like five thousand by seven thousand when i started drawing it yeah it's really not that big if you guys should uh if your computer can handle it uh should practice drawing on bigger canvases i think because you'll need a better like resolution when you're doing print work and um even if you make mistakes on the big canvas if you shrink it down it disappears [Music] so when you feel like your line art is looking too like pixelated and whatnot try working on a bigger canvas and then shake it down pixel sizes don't matter when you're just drawing digitally dpi only matters if you're printing stuff but usually when i first start off the canvas i guess it's like set at like a4 at 350 dpi dpi is kind of like a conversion rate in a way if you convert like real life sizes into like pixels [Music] yeah that's for inch dpi basically from okay let me save this first um so dpi mean dots per inch right basically when you print stuff each each uh it like kind of explains let's say this is one inch that means there's if it's 300 dpi it means there's 300 little dots 300 of them in that one inch and if a 72 dpi means there's 72 dots so if you see if there's more dots in a smaller amount of space it looks more detailed right if it's 72 it's like more spread out so it's less quality this counts for when you're printing stuff and what i'm talking about how what i'm mean by dps kind of like a conversion thing like if you say 3000 pixels by 3000 pixels and let's say this is 300 dpi if it's 3 000 pixels 3000 pixels [Music] and 72 dpi there is no difference between these two if you look at them digitally because pixels are what you see on the screen on the monitor but if you convert these to real life um units like centimeter inches these will be different sizes [Music] so let's see let me actually make a canvas here 3000 by 3000 at 350 dpi if i switch that to centimeters becomes 21.7 by 21.776 and this is uh 300 dpi uh you can do the inches on your own so that and this becomes okay three thousand three thousand seventy two and if you make that into certain years uh wait wait hold on [Music] uh yeah that should be right is it yeah it is right okay um 3 000 72 in the same years not 5.83 one five point eight three four now five when you print this this will be 27 or 21 centimeters if you print this it'll be like this it'll be big but it'll be lower quality because there's dots the 3000 pixels will be further apart in a way if that makes sense i did my best i know this this hurt my brain when i first started learning about like digital art and printing so yeah so it'll be like bigger but it's like more spread apart so you can see lesser quality you know yeah i guess the better explanation is if i do it backwards hold on like uh 10 centimeters at 300 dpi or i guess out the 300 dpi versus 10 centimeters at 72 dpi actually this is a better better conversion to understand because you guys understand pixels better than real life centimeters on screen okay so if it's 10 centimeters 10 centimeters at 300 dpi in pixels it's one one eight one you pixels if it's 10 centimeters 72 dpi 283 pixels see the difference hmm so um so it's like um yeah number is difficult head hurts but something something printing usually go for 300. sometimes sometimes sometimes these these are for printing usually 300 is okay for color printing for black and white i know they like 600 and 1200 depending um yeah yeah 300 350 is fine as long as it's beyond 300 this is usually good for printing depending on what the printer likes and how much quality you want and also depends on the file size too because higher the dpi usually for printing higher the file size and maybe the printer doesn't really like that really depends um if you want to do like really high quality stuff you can use these or if you do black and white sometimes uh it's better to do the higher resolution higher dpi so that the uh the printer mechanical you know printers and their limitations can uh manage to print out all the fine details that you put into your black and white works yeah anyways that's it they wanted a little tangent over there 72 dpi is fine for just you know digital work proofing when you're only posting stuff on like uh websites and stuff it's like the dpi doesn't really matter in a way um wait bump [Music] so if you plan on like printing new stuff in the future of course you can resize it after two but i just recommend getting into a habit of working on bigger canvases and stuff because um shrinking things down is well at least to me shrinking things down is better than enlarging something it's better for it to be shrunk than enlarged to finished uh line art have i tried line art less styles yes i have but i prefer line art in the end because it makes my process so much more efficient it's the thing cause um [Music] for me personally i just wanna draw so many different things at once if i take too long on something then i just smell you know quickly move on to the next thing to draw at times so yeah so i so over over the years i kind of you know went for a more like efficient method of uh drawing in a way hmm i've tried all kinds of different like methods to draw but what i've settled on now is probably what i'm most comfortable with [Music] thanks i'm glad you like my forehead what have i done to speed up my lineup process draw a lot draw a lot confidence means faster liner [Music] really is [Music] i think even like if you compare like like drawing from i guess like earlier like when i just debuted to now i feel like i definitely became a little more confident in line art too [Music] i've done a lot of training over the last couple of months in improvement yes in the end when i'm not sure what to do i just draw a lot then maybe i'll think of something on the way like maybe i should try this or that until then if i don't know how to improve i just draw a lot [Music] because no matter no matter what you draw or what you try to improve on if you just draw a lot then you just it's like grinding levels in an rpg you know even if like you kill the same mob over and over again and you don't really learn any new skills you just get that experience point so when you're when in doubt just silence your brain and draw yes when you kill slime for 300 years you become max level i really like that series [Music] it is true though isn't it [Music] um [Music] yeah i'm not sure how the uh pick seven just go into the art class and you just turn your brain off and draw that was that was my uh saving grace [Music] because some of the uh things i had to do in art class was uh was like really really just a like i'd stay in school for like a really long time to finish something i didn't mind it because i could just plug in my earphones just me and the assignment working the night away i guess i
