i was born in eastern town the easy time wasn't easy i saw everything violence drugs chaos every day it made me who i am today and i was fortunate enough to get out since i was young i turned the football and punish people every day you see me on the field you know what's going to happen if you think you can take me you're wrong if you think you're stronger than me you definitely won't if you think you're faster than me it's not happening i'm cardell thomas the best player in the country and i will crush to you football means everything i've been playing it since four it's all developed but like a deep love for football i feel like i'm kind of like the lebron of high school football i'm a phenom like i can do everything when a college coach you know describe my game they just tell me that they wish their guys can play like me that's all they talk about like man you run track man you catch the ball man you run routes and then they want to watch it and see that then the blocking that goes out the window cause that's all we talk about he plays like he's in college already he has a lot of work that he still needs to do but the one thing they won't have to teach is the aggressiveness college coaches they say he dominates from the opening snap he fires off the ball he doesn't take plays off and that's a big plus in college coach's eyes i've been knowing cordell for like since seventh grade you know i can counter him for whatever if i need something i can always count on you know he lost it to me he's a great athlete number one player in the nation teachers love him everyone loves him you know like i don't think he have any enemies honestly i mean unless there are fans from another school that's about it i feel like i should be the number one fit in the nation i went to the all-american combine and nobody grinded like i did i go hard every event i'm at i go hard on the field i go hard that's the true definition of a five star in the number one player the amount of hate i get is just crazy like people be mad because they've never seen nobody like me and they want to hate that so so much god bless the haters like the people that hate me and i really mean that from the bottom of my heart because you're hating for no reason you're hating on somebody that's doing something positive when the environment they came from they could be doing a lot of vulgar and violent things and just be a straight thug it's just for recovery you know like when you buy the ache and things like that i take it once before workouts and after i come home i take it again so twice a day make you rethink taking it i look at my workouts i look in the mirror i like to see myself progress because they let me know that i'm doing something right that's it let's go get the work out here i don't have no personal trainer this is it right here the workout made to make you push yourself people might be like oh i got them i'm feeling sorry that's what they're supposed to do push push come on push dipstick out it's where it all started at right here workout is real good always been good once he decided just what he wanted to do about nine and ten he never had the problem out there he's a 4.0 student on top of being his number one athlete and his goal always been to go to lsu and make it to the nfl since he was literally he wanted to wear that purple and gold [Music] all the college coach asking how you got his feet like that i gotta say that but this is the part of the broomstick workout i would credit this drill to his quick feet the object is that as soon as you land big right back up off the ground there you go quick there you go yeah 2016 we had the flood in baton rouge we lost everything and we ended up having to go to the best western and he still continued his work out at night he did push us he ran the stairs he jumped rope he ran around the complex and he said i can't get out of shape even though we're not playing he knows how to handle adversity well now all right all right where he grew up easy town you know it was a fairly rough area they made the best out of it like it's so easy to get caught up in i guess you could say the street culture but he never got caught up in all that he always kept his grades never really got into trouble at all and he just focused on what you want to do which is be a great football player scholar continue with it there you go [Music] bad news it's a fun city at times you know it's also a violent city so you know you got to watch yourself a lot in baton rouge honestly when i was growing up i lived in a poor area i mean you had gunshots a while when you in the hood i knew it was every day but my parents just worked hard got enough money to get me get me out of there was the best thing that ever happened to me this is lula avenue this is the thumping ground right here boy crazy being back here i ain't even gonna cap i haven't been in a minute man it's just crazy right here used to be black and jt it was like my two best friends we used to play every day like literally every day no matter what it was raining nighttime all day that's all we did right here used to be ross he was that's my daddy for a dollar and a bill every day no matter what kind of bill was it was funny to me he used to be miss paula anything you needed miss paula hedges no matter what it was is that miss betty down there oh you're so tired [Laughter] him and my daughter went to school together she was a cheerleader he's a football player all right now here go to my house right here this is where he ride bikes and play ball six in the morning he up trying to hit the dog right his bike play the basketball sub six in the morning every morning every morning like when we got boy we just go find something to do we used to stay put in this fire and hide your hair out like you put it out water and pull flood the street you boil it you go pull it hey man you're gonna pull it somebody's gonna go pull it dude it's gonna flood the whole street when they flush the street they'll let me call the water people and say we got a problem never told me they did it so the neighbor told me and i whipped him i really did it's called easy time it's not easy it's like a lot of poverty around here you're gonna see a lot of poverty-stricken kids [Music] one day you know it was just playing outside you know like they pick up sticks i never forget it right here this was playing at this line right here it was a chrysler he pulled up by the tree shot like just shot boom boom boom boom it was like dang that's that's where i come from my parents got me out of here they just they saw what i was becoming and they didn't want me to becoming here i had to work extra hard just to get the house we in now like so that's what made me say like you know i'm gonna do this for my parents and for you know for me really because i love the game itself and you know i just thank god for him i thank god for all health issues and cordell chose to stay home close to us so we can go to the games so we didn't have to travel so much yeah valley is going to be outrageous because as cordell tell you all he's going to bring the swagger reload 2016 was a very horrible time for this city but thank the lord for the thomas's that god has brought you have brought you guys back in your house and that is thank the lord for what we see all that god has done one of the greatest effects that cardio has is his character he's a quiet gentle spirit a gentle giant i guess you might say just because you have the talent that doesn't always translate into making it to the next level but when you have this proper support base when you have the proper parenting and what i know about his parents is they've taught this kid to be honorable and respectful and so i think that that is what is reflected in this young man's life i think he's gonna go very very far excuse me who's gonna go to a lsu game with family like this you can't lose you've heard me say this before there's only two type of people in this world one that wish they could be a part of southern lab the ones that are part of certain life see i go back to antiquity southern lab has no rival every school no matter what they think football runs whatever they do i want to say eight nine years he's been for the district championship we get out the mud here viral in baton rouge he's been smoking dudes on the track at over 300 pounds was benching 250 at 12 years old and he'll run you through a wall if you try to get past him lsu fans call him mr pancake badger obj he wants to follow in their footsteps and continue to change the game for o linemen everywhere there's nothing bigger than becoming a household name in death valley just ask joe burrow this is the story of cardell thomas [Applause] cardell was born on september 6 2000 to janus and carl thomas he had two sisters and an older brother casey cardell's pops played at jackson state and ultimately got the chance to attend lsu everybody in louisiana loved lsu but it was even more appealing to thomas because his dad went there he knew what lsu was all about how wild it was on saturday nights there's nothing bigger than football in louisiana cardell's dad had a huge influence on him and he started playing football at four years old before he was mr pancake he suited up for the oakside panthers where pops coached him up for years cardell could do it all at a young age and was getting bigger than all his teammates he looked up to lsu's glenn dorsey an absolute monster in the trenches watching him in death valley was as exciting as watching any quarterback by the age of nine with family roots tied to lsu and a love for dorsey the idea of following in their footsteps and staying home was already on his mind he had his eyes set on not just lsu but big dreams of making it to the nfl cardel's dad decided to set up their own weight room at home they had a dip bar bench press and even some old school tricks cartel's dad would have him hold weights and jump from one side of a broomstick to the other to this day he says this is the key to his son's game and footwork by the age of 12 cardell was benching 250 pounds that's more than what they lifted the combine my guy was only a couple years away from high school and had a chance to blow up as a national recruit [Music] even though thomas grew up with a strong fan and lsu ties they didn't start off in the greatest area cardell calls it easytown but things were far from easy police sirens drugs and chaos were all around him as a kid when he was young cardell and his friends would play outside on their block one day a car drove by someone fired a gun i never forget it right here this was playing at this line right here luckily everyone was okay and to this day cardell doesn't know why it happened despite all that with his family's help in the game of football he was able to keep his focus football became his outlet and his fam ended up moving to a better part of town that struggle that cardell saw and the sacrifices of his parents only motivated him more thomas wanted to take care of his family for all they've given him to understand cardel thomas you got to know where he comes from and who he plays for you also have to see his personality and style of play off the field cardel is like your favorite wide receiver he's got the drip and is one of the nicest and funniest dudes you'll ever meet you don't see that from too many o-linemen but to be remembered in the trenches you gotta stand out and cardell does just that on the field dog mentality he plays angry and punishes anyone in his way i mean you don't get the nickname mr pancake for nothing but more on that later one of the necessary not only to be different but a trailblazer too cardel's freshman year went about as well as he could have hoped making the big jump to high school thomas saw the field and helped southern lab go on a deep playoff run on december 4th 2015 cardell and the kittens suited up at the home of the new orleans saints and took home a state title in style them boys blew out st mary 36-2 one year of high school and he already had a ring you know cardell was making an impact out there as the offseason hit in 2016 colleges were already noticing his play on the field his big moment came on february 20th 2016 when jackson state gave him his first college offer to play football at the next level with his first offer under his belt cardell went to alabama that summer to compete at lsu's rival camp the boy from baton rouge showed out and lsu must have noticed because not long after he got back from bama lsu came with every local kids dream offer after all the long days and nights benching and training with his dad there was the chance to play at lsu almost no recruiting in nation commits before their sophomore year but not every recruit grows up in baton rouge dying to wear that purple and gold just a month after seeing alabama cardell made his commitment to the tigers he could now follow in the footsteps of lsu legends this meant everything now my guy wasn't just gonna commit and put his feet up till signing day he wasn't just another kid committed to play in death valley the tigers hadn't won a natty since and cardell wanted to lead the charge to bring in a generational group that could end that streak he was about to go on a three-year mission to bring every top kid in louisiana home to lsu how many o-linemen have that kind of confidence and star power by the end of 2019 we see exactly how powerful cardel's drive and personality could take lsu following his commitment to the tigers not only did thomas get named the four star but lsu fans nicknamed him mr pancake for all the pancake blocks he hands out heading into his sophomore year cardell was on top of the world for real but life doesn't always stay like that a ton of adversity was right around the corner [Music] august of 2016 brought a terrible flood to louisiana and the thomas has lost a lot in the storm the fam had to take shelter in best western times were tough but not tough enough to stop cardell just like his days in easy town thomas turned to football as his escape he ran up steps around the block and did push-ups outside in the summer heat anything to keep getting ready for his sophomore season cardell went into his second year of high school hungrier than ever southern lab had a target on their back as the defending champs everybody wanted a piece of him but that wasn't a good idea year two was a mix of pancakes big hits and wins a lot of wins cartel set the tone up front and helped southern lab go 13-1 and make another state title game going for ring number two the boys went crazy with another win in the dome 36-9 over ascension episcopal without even being at lsu yet cardell was building a louisiana legacy i mean two state rings in two years is big different as 2016 flipped into 2017 cardell was about to blow up even more he went down to texas for the all-american combine where thomas really introduced the world to mr pancake cardel destroyed so many players and one-on-ones that he went viral but it wasn't just for clout even though he was committed to lsu his recruitment was about to get insane by the end of february cardell had offers from iowa state oklahoma asu and texas the longhorns even got him to come out for junior day and he loved it soon cardell got offers from penn state georgia florida state and more while college coaches were blowing up his phone he went viral again this time anchoring a 4 by 100 meter track race and getting the win even though he weighed over 300 pounds within the next month another childhood dream came true all american status cardell's recruitment was getting crazy but he was still recruiting for lsu one of his best friends and teammates just so happened to be one of the nastiest running backs in the nation ty davis alabama came in hot after tai but with cardell's help ty decided to stay home and wrap the boot this was the first time mr pancake showed he could recruit for coach o things were good unfortunately back on the field southern lab was about to get hit hard an investigation found that cardell's head coach had allegedly committed recruiting violations the punishments were no joke their coach was let go and the team had to give up their two state titles and southern lab would miss the 2017 playoffs cardell and his team were devastated a lot of guys quit and the squad went just five and five this was just the latest struggle for cardell but he still had a huge senior year ahead of him [Music] beginning of 2018 saw my guy pick up more and more college offers from programs like miami and texas a m with his senior year creeping up and so many schools after him cardell wanted to shut down his recruitment for good on a visit to lsu coach o showed cardell how an sec school would help his nfl draft stock and ask him to lead the recruitment of his class or duron didn't want to lose him to texas or any other program they both felt the 2019 class could put lsu back on top and after a long conversation cardell officially shut down his recruitment staying home was too important and he took on the challenge of recruiting for his new coach cardell had already helped his coach get ty davis their top targets left were the number one player in the country derek stingley jr and texas linebacker marcel brooks both these guys committed to lsu that spring nobody was talking nicer than cardell by signing day 2019 almost every top player from louisiana picked lsu after he shut down his recruitment cardel went to work that summer thomas went viral at a camp for doing this [Music] got named a five star by rivals and committed to the adidas all-american bowl the future lsu tiger also got invited to the opening finals a camp for the nation's hundred best juniors later that summer overtime flew down to baton rouge to do a feature on cardell and to see how they eat down in louisiana all those left now was his last season of high school ball one last ride with his brothers cardell and southern lab came out the gates hot going 9-1 through 10 games then on october 24th he got his all-american jersey the following week they played their rivals kent wood for the district championship this game was going to be crazy so you know ot had to be there we got to see how they prepped hear about the history of the rivalry and get into some tailgating on singer night the boys came through cardell was on his bully ty davis had four tds and the team got to celebrate in style the next day he watched lsu get beat down by alabama in classic cardell fashion he took to twitter with a big statement that tweet is still pinned today and lsu hasn't lost obama since not long after that he made a big statement on twitter i mean how many o linemen got serious goals to win the heisman the heisman after an epic win over kentwood southern lab would go on to win their first two playoff games it took a hail mary to make the semis but unfortunately that's when their season ended cardell didn't finish high school with a third ring in four years but you know he still left his mark on december 19 2018 thomas signed his letter of intent to go to lsu alongside his boy ty davis cardell also kept his five-star status from rivals now it was almost time to head to lsu [Music] before moving on to campus cardel had a few more months at home and a trip to texas for his all-american game thomas got to live it up in san antonio and celebrate all the big things he'd done in high school after he got back home from texas cardell got even more serious about working out and his diet look at my god 30 pounds lighter we knew cardell only had a few months left at home so we went back down to louisiana he gave us a tour of his new home at lsu showed off his secret workouts gotten his own overtime challenge and even let us tag along for graduation and the party after cardell's like fam to us so we were just as hyped for his next chapter at lsu cartel moved into lsu in june of 2019 and was ready to start making a name for himself he roomed with georgia db j ward got a new jersey number and decided on communications for his major come on you know mr pancakes going to end up on tv after football cardell was making waves and looked like a sure thing to get in the rotation for coach o unfortunately on august 14th thomas got hurt in practice and was done for the year this was a devastating blow that cardell didn't deserve but he stuck with it rehabbed hard and helped support his brothers he didn't end up seeing the field but lsu had an amazing season capping it off in 2020 with a national championship things were so crazy even obj came to show the boys love it wasn't exactly how cardell wanted his freshman year to go but he learned a lot after everything we've seen mr pancake do over the last few years i would not count him out [Music] heading into his sophomore year cardell's definitely faced a lot of ups and downs but coming from easy town he's seen worse and is ready to bounce back everyone's going to have to step up without burro and lsu's 2020 class though he still has eyes on making the nfl there's a lot to accomplish still as a hometown hero i get goosebumps just thinking about my guy playing his first game in tiger stadium we got to see him become a high school phenom right in front of our eyes and can't wait for the rest of college football to get to see what he can do at high school i took care of business and became out of america now it's time to get ready for college i'm gonna miss my boys but now it's time to put on for the booth i'm gonna make the most of it come ride with me what's up everybody i'm cordell thomas at lsu i'm gonna show you guys around the campus and show you why i chose this school to be my school for the next three to four years one thing about lsu that some colleges don't do the whole city every restaurant every store it's just illustrate the gang gonna be played right here this is our journalism school when i get on campus and i get into my major now they're just gonna be taking all my classes back and then you know after just using my degree to my advantage being down here is hospitality automatically but like here it's on a whole nother level like one teacher she just gave me her card and like ever since like she treated me like a son and that's gonna be my teacher at the business school so things like that right here everybody where this circle is is where we get out on the bus take our tiger walk the fans the cheerleaders the band everyone interacts with us and we just go out in the stadium give them our best and try to get the victory all right guys on the saturday day this whole field will become a mecca for tail game you will see tents everywhere flags and music you'll hear cajun music rap music all kind of music and everybody's gonna turn up and wait for the game on game day they basically cook anything they can find you might go from port to gator and gator the deer it gets live out here you know it's something when this big city can shut down for just one game every saturday you got the student union building you got anything you want to eat if your phone broke you repair it there you got study rooms and everything you know when you got your break in between class you can just come here and chill it's time for your next we about to go in and check it up [Music] all right in between them classes your stomach get the groggy you got smoothie king you got a chick-fil-a panda express you can go get your girl bro go go to class and go to sleep though when i become a student here i have to wake up about four for breakfast club i go to weights then go to class then from that point on i'm going to practice and you know just getting ready for that big game week right here everybody we got the downstairs eating and studying there you know we got people here even on the sunday coming in just enjoying some time for school to kick back off i've been here doing the same thing future all right guys that was the student union we bout to go check out the quad oh wait my mom just pulled up how you doing do y'all have fun lsu it's the quad one of the nicest places on campus as you see you bout to go check out the middle of it and get some better views you being at lsu it's like you being a lebron in like like it's that big like no matter where you go is love now right here we got the best spot on campus dev valley senior 7 000 go alive on the saturday night can't wait to ball here for the next three to four years go tigers you know baton rouge kids not a lot of us you know come from you know well so we get a chance to go out and go away it's just like i said it's always every child should just support right now we're outside dev valley it's crazy this is what death valley comes alive on a saturday night i get to experience it and i hope you will too right now you know we got the statue of mike the tiger behind us and it just symbolizes tiger pride you know he looks ferocious right now but in the cage looks ferocious it just symbolizes lsu and the tigers people from everywhere love to stop and take photos and mike it's just simulation the lsu and the tiger himself right here we got the legends you got odell jamar leonard leah collins trudeau's white kendall beckwith and others they really put on for lsu and hopefully my class and the others just playing right now i can do the same right here we got the famous national championships the last one was 2007 and we're looking to come get more you know me and my class came here for a reason not just to stay in baton rouge but to come bring a nice championship back to it hopefully we do that all right guys this is our practice shift it's better than some people stating this so we gonna grind that this is what we're gonna work hard at and get to the national championship my relationship with the other guys on the team is great you know i guess i've been committed for five years so we pretty much know each other real well all the guys just took me on their wing since i've been coming and you know i'm just gonna prove that respect when they come trying to put the pads on all right everybody you saw lsu you saw the card you saw the union you saw the stadium now you see the practice fair i can't get away don't hear the grind for the next three to four years with my boys [Applause] what's up everybody i'm cordell thomas i'm giving you guys an inside look on how i'm preparing for lsu right now i'm on the sand you know when you're running and everything on you know just regular lane you don't have anything resistant but as the sand it might go over your angles and you really got to dig to me it's a full body workout and it has a lot of benefit what stood out about my game to lsu was my violence on the field you know why i play the way i move my iq different things like that you don't really see that in college football alignment running down the field for 60 you know 80 yards and i just bring that kind of different flap to the game the shoe sees me fitting in as that missile piece you know that guy who can get the ball moving in the inside and in those trenches and just come on board those people to help clyde a little back their bus off for them runs all right everybody y'all saw how i got in and i'm saying now it's time to go back to the high school and get a quick live fan joe just wants to bring back that diamond alignment you know we haven't had one in a long time and he feels like me and the guys could be in that that total line to bring the national championship back to baton rouge just got back to the school about to go put some more work in the weight room right now i'm about to bench you know just a little warm up for alignment out there you know strength is everything especially at the glove position so i'm gonna start off with 2 25s you know warm up getting ready for college is no joke you know when you're getting ready for a college program everything is about the book technique is sound and everything is lifted up to a higher extreme you're gonna feel every single bit of it and for his weightlifting the technique benefits you more than just doing it so getting ready for college it's a challenge but i'm up for it you know lifting up about a little bit is important but your endurance comes from the abs so you got to get the ab work there when i get there in june it's gonna be crazy conditioning tests probably gonna be three days later so i'm just trying to get my mind prepared for that but i just expect it to be one of the hardest summers you know i've ever been through but and it being hard i'm gonna come out better than i was at first i probably use the 45 well you know walking to the lsu weight room it's crazy it's sec football so you know everything you do is going to be done to the highest way possible and you know they're going to add more weight on the ball but i expect it to be hard but you know i'm not a quarter i got that dog in there so i'm going to keep pushing i expect to come out on top also my goals for the season are just to prove myself to the team pull myself to the nation get that starting job and then just become a legend from then there just hard work every day and just staying [Music] humble well you know when you're working out and you're losing weight you know you might your strength might have to go down so you have to work harder to keep it up i just been working and doing a lot more running eating right and you know when the season comes or when i get there in the summer it's going to help me with the running and the condition and everything because i'm going to have the endurance so you know the right weight and i won't get tired as fast so for the recovery i might get in the cold tub epsom salt valves you know just to get you know the soyuz out of my muscles and you know the roses you know you got everything you got a lot of things you can use maybe a massage or some some things like that what's up everybody i'm carl thomas i'm here with overtime i had my last day of high school last week it was emotional day but we got through it tomorrow's my graduation i'm gonna go turn up and make it one like no other now before i hit the sandpit and go get that working i got to beat my homeboy and maddie [Music] i'm not really nervous about graduation you know he's been waiting on this for a long time you know it's finally here i'm gonna just go and enjoy every moment of it you know we're gonna put all that together it just looks magnificent i got my my glasses you know my mama don't like them i don't know why she don't like them because i feel like i look fantastic you know but you know how they go mothers and then we got um khaki pants because we had to wear them that was the dresser part the dress requirements and then i just got the brown shoes you know just some something right now this right here this is the best part of it all got the you know the all-white feeling godly and i got my ap rope i got to get my arms broke when we get there and then you know best school in the right here in an oven right below i mean i mean hey whatever you like i like what should i put it on my chicken we'll start with that you tell me what to put on my chicken i really don't know what the old bay is so we're going to snip off don't know what old bay is something i ain't never heard we're gonna go with the garlic the garlic seasoning okay uh what's the seasoning behind the oval bay this one's cayenne this oh wait no this one's pie and this one's painting all right yeah i like like cajun season so you can use the cajun seasoning okay so we're not going with obey nah you you must really want to use i'm gonna let you use it so bad i'm gonna listen to you so what you do is you got a bowl or anything like that yes you're going to put them in there you're going to sprinkle the seasoning over all the seasonings that you're using over you're going to make sure that they laughed at top and bottom and then yeah you just get ready to cook all right let's do it man all right so look uh since mine was already prepared i'm gonna go ahead and put them on the grill so at this piece they're gonna slap it on there and you gotta make sure you keep them together am i gonna need to add a ton of seasoning to keep up with your standards i mean it's up to you like it's all about how you want it so like if you feel like whenever you feel like enough if there's enough then it's really up to you you just gotta have enough to make sure it's um on both sides not too dry or it's not too salty so just a decent amount okay i'm gonna show you where my chicken is at is that like way more do i need way more than this oh yeah you need a remote let me go back to this cajun seasoning oh you gotta use your hands on that i want to we're gonna have to freaking wash my hands so many times fine i'll do it you want me to rub it in or what you gotta put both hands in there and rub it in all right let's go then i'm gonna throw it all in here we're going all out how's that looking for ya does that make you happy better you gotta do it like you're enjoying okay i'm gonna let you choose these things what am i going with you definitely got to cook the um underwear sausage and um just both of [Music] tell us a little bit about him [Music] he just like you like a real hard road [Music] so what is the best dish that your mom's ever taught you how to make i wouldn't say she taught me but like i mean when she in the kitchen cooking i pay attention to my father he taught me how to make rice and gravy pretty good and he made gumbo real good so i mean i just kind of paid attention to them they never really need to like sit me down because i mean they're in the kitchen i just walk in and go look okay next time we do this you're to have to teach me how to make either gumbo or jambalaya oh good i got you hold up let me see your food while you're talking oh i got you i see you flipping it all right i got my sausage i got my wieners cooking they going a little slow right now but it's gonna be okay they're gonna get there i got my chicken yeah man we just grilling it and cooking that's about it ain't doing that amazing smells pretty good see so growing up in louisiana now going to lsu how influential was it for you to see guys like obj tyronn matthew leonard fournette it was big because most of us probably was at a camp with them went to one of their games or somebody's even played against so it was just it was just crazy because you know they did the same thing that anybody that gets chances from louisiana want to do uh meet derrick's things are tied out of being from baton rouge decided to stay home we couldn't win anywhere else in the nation so it was just a big thing um i did probably send number one over here because i put both of them on the same thing but i'm using every pan that i got okay i see you doing it what's like your specific workouts that you've been doing lately uh a lot of weight lifting like squats you're able to actually go to a gym i got a white [ __ ] to know that um at my house okay let me see let me see your update where are you at right now with the cooking okay um right now [Music] sausage that that chicken right there looks a little burnt no he's just dark outside that's all it is it ain't really burnt you know it's just really dark outside that's all i see i tried to hide it but i kind of burned my sizes making me look like oh lordy okay i'm gonna i'm gonna plate mine okay what's a piece of advice you would give to any athlete tuning in right now to help them get to where you're at man pray every day and if just something you really want just know that it come with party some days you're gonna feel like you can't go some days you might just wanna break down but remember if it was easy everybody can do it and just stay prayed up pray for no injury i just thank god that you're in a position because i got a lot of people that you went to high school with they had to go get a job and they couldn't be on espn or have a chance to play and go to the league like you so just make sure you're like just a blessing and you got to keep it because what god given here take it away ready to see it yeah let me see it i mean like here's the thing let me just let me preface it with this oh no no normally there would be some well what am i supposed to do with this extra little sausage just chilling over here and this little mini [Laughter] you supposed to eat you got a dog how tiny well i got some mini ones but like no way this is what you eat meat meat meat yeah bro this you have a side but we don't have salsa nation that's what it is i'm not gonna lie this i'm pretty excited to eat though a good point you're not trying to get that salmonella um so yeah the chicken looking real dude you can't really say okay let's try to do a taste test with with your what you got your hot dogs and your sausages all right i got one let me see we go hot dogs first one bone apple teeth [Music] [Laughter] oh my god the texture of all different layers of and the way the sausage you know the flavor just explodes and then i said i should i should i deserve a melbourne actually do you think you could cook better than every other alignment out there yes i'm gonna put that on myself i could cook better than any other lime get at me anywhere anytime and i'ma whip some up i'm gonna try the hot dog there we go we'll swap which one show us before you take a bite open your eyeballs all right let's smoke it on board this upcoming season gonna be a big one for you so what what goals do you have set for yourself first just beat our competition that's the biggest thing like i feel like i'm at a point to where um i'm over my injury and i feel like i'm back hungry again so i mean just beat our competitors and you know just prove on the alpha dog once i do that then we can talk about you know going on the field just dominating everything you know just staying prayed up understand myself and you know just me and everything i came there that should be oh my god you know how chicken is kind of stressful to make perfect look at how white that is so clean i feel like you i feel like your chicken don't taste good you just making faces like it dude wow it's like nothing i've ever tasted before i'm going to taste mine no don't eat it if it's not ready no it's not burnt you don't don't you try you tried to slide one in on me right there bro this is good um this is actually really good great i'm stoked we really just did this but next time we're gonna do this all again but we're gonna add some vegetables something whenever we get back on the fair you know if we have a season more than likely probably putting somebody to the gate and they just throwing that up and then you know the ncaa letting us um you know probably like make money and all that you'll probably be seeing that a lot um next year yeah after this if you see this from the crowd oh yeah you know it's coming for you right i know they want me to do something they want me to go home big man touchdown or what oh yeah oh more like a skilled person touchdown because i'm like i'm not gonna run like a big man you feel me like i'm probably gonna do something jump over so i'm not gonna come for my legs so i'm probably gonna get a good hurdle at least i mean a little um exactly you gotta add a little bit of flavor to that okay you can't eat a pancake dry so i can't be driving exactly oh that leads us that leads us perfectly to the next one right here you're gonna love this one cardel i hope all of you saw mine and cardell's what are your thoughts that got to be a fan sign it got to be because i can't see it being a play unless it's a formation or something like that but they got to be a fan sign got to be and if you see a fan holding this up you think it's a good sign you think it's a bad sign what are they saying more than likely it's probably talking about how he taught probably what they're talking about they got it what do you think they're specifically trying to say you know oh he probably cursing the song i was not thinking that i was thinking of good old go tigers once again but that works okay we got a good woman right here too the fans can definitely use that one because i guess it's another team what spongebob trying to do a chicken or something like that i feel like this might be some sort of a trick play or like they want to embarrass the other team or something you know so it can be it can definitely be in the stands it's like you never know what post you're going to get in the stands no that's definitely on what are the fans trying to say with this sign are they trying to say i guess the other team dumb or stupid because if i remember that episode correctly um [Music] okay i tell you time you know what it means so it could be a meaning inside of a meme yeah i like that or even if it's coming from the stands the fans are being like oh you got this in the bag okay i like the way you think well something like that maybe just something like that i don't know why a dog you know though yeah maybe do you think they'd be talking about a certain team with a dog i know some kind of dog or something like this chihuahuas all they do is talk that's all they do over there just talk oh my gosh i can't wait for the comments in this video right here oh this is my boy joke you're girl exactly so if you see your coach one of your coaches holding up this sign what what do you think they're trying to tell you guys it's most likely they'll play while they're trying to tell the other team that like that's how we come we really like like just always reminding them of that beating they yeah what if you're playing another team and you see them hold this up i'ma think they're just honoring jokes makes sense i can see it we'll go ahead and move on to the next one all right next one right here we got trash panda all right that could be a good play because i don't know why would that be in the crowd especially you know that's not even a panel that's a raccoon exactly it's a raccoon apparently they call them trash defenders i don't i don't know never heard of it about that but they got to be a place okay what kind of play go ahead walk me through it it can most likely be a trick play because if you think about how i'm thinking about it it says pounder but it's a raccoon so it could kind of be something to throw someone off or something like that maybe i'm overthinking it but i'm definitely not gonna see that in the crowd it's definitely a sign somebody holding up i like that you're putting a lot of thought into this but also do you think the fans could potentially be calling someone trash uh yeah but i don't know i ain't gonna be too technical but you know a raccoon is kind of a smart animal so you know you know you your trash talk can calmly be you know compliment somebody and live in a way you know what i'm saying love it we got this one right here a good old henna elephant okay so that's definitely gonna be in the crowd because our fans knowing that alabama is roll tide and elephants are definitely mocking alabama they can say they try and they can try to say um that they that they i don't know all fans crazy if you see that in the crowd and you know somebody trying to say they see though what if you see this coming from the other team's coaches oh i'm most definitely confused because i don't know like how could you even put that into a play i don't know i don't know like i said but more than likely that's gonna be in the crowd i'm telling you i see that i agree with that definitely if you're playing up against alabama this for sure is coming out of the crowd yeah we got one final sign right here cardel give me your best they can mean three touchdowns oh we gonna be winning by three touchdowns again look at me okay you know what i'm saying like y'all thought y'all got like yo okay oh you know with my boy tysco is he number three that we
